Why in
the hell am I staring another fic when I have two out style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
there
unfinished? Lord only knows. Anyway, this one I\'m not sure style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
where
it\'s going or what exactly is going to happen, I\'m as clueless style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
about
as any of you who might read it.
Anyway,
this is going to be an AU set in dark, gothic times and style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
will
probably be a little hard for some people to take. What exactly style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
that
means I\'ve no idea but it will be more horror, angst, sex and style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
whatnot.
But I won\'t put any yaoi or yaoi couplings in this, that I style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
can be
sure of just because I don\'t feel like doing it in this style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
particular
fic. Guess it\'s a case of been there, done that so I\'m style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
trying
something a little different. I guess that means that style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
couplings
are up in the air as well, though I will most likely pair style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
up
Heero and Relena, being that Relena is going to be the main style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
character
of the story.
Well
whatever this ends up being I hope it\'s enjoyable to read.style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
The
girl knew she had been different from others since as long style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
as she
could remember, though she did not understand how or the style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
reason
why she was different. Her mother was a quiet but nervous soul style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
and
had always tried to hide the truth from her daughter but the style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
child
was just too inquisitive and perceptive to be held back into style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
the
darkness for long. And just as the girl was about to unleash the style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
mystery
and have all of her questions answered, her mother had style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
whisked
her away on a dark and cold night far from her kingdom and style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
farther
away still from her father and older brother Milliardo.style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
Being
only five at the time the girl could do little to prevent style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
her
kidnapping by her own mother, nor could she prevent the fact that style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
she
realized for the first time how afraid her mother truly was for style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
her,
though she figured it had to definitely do to the fact that her style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
father
was a dangerous man. Since she was a babe she never really style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
knew
or seen a whole lot of him but she knew of his existence and the style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
incredible
power that he held in his hands, the powers of life and style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
death,
as she rememb hea hearing many of the servants say as they style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
spoke
in hushed tones amongst the shadows of the grand castle of style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
Peacecraft.style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
It was
at the dawn of that dark and cold night that her and her style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
mother
happened upon a monastery that rested high on a hill. It was style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
surrounded
by a ten foot tall stone wall with a wide, thickly wooded style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
double
gate adorned with two large iron locks linked with heavy style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
massive
chains.
She
remembered her mother sliding hastily from the horse and style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
pulling
her down even more quickly making sure that her small cloak style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
was
wrapped tightly around her, her hood pulled down over her eyes. style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
Carrying
her over her shoulder she ran to the gate and tugged style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
furiously
on a thick ded ded cord that hung down low, attached to a style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
big
silvery bell tied securely to a stout wooden post that was style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
planted
firmly in the ground.
The
small girl covered her ears and closed her eyes, squinting style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
them
tightly to try and block out the low chiming tin that pounded in style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
her
head and hurt her ears. The ringing then stopped as soon as it style=\'fonze:1ze:10.0pt\'>
had
started and she turned her head hearing the eerie squeak of the style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
opening
gates, though she could not see very well until her and her style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
mother
were through the gates and she was once again on her feet.style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
She
then looked up noticing the relief in her mother\'s face, style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
though
her breathing was still quite panicked. Through gasps she style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
heard
her speak. "Thank you, father, for accepting her, into your style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
home.
I knew not where else to turn to, to escape the evil that I, style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
have
plagued upon the world by even allowing her birth.style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
The
girl\'s mouth opened somewhat at her mother\'s words. Was she style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
saying
that she wished she had never been born? That she should have style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
snuffed
out her very life before she had even the chance to take her style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
first
breath? Her bottom lip began to quiver with hurt and anger. Did style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
her
mother ever really love her? She turned to the priest hearing him style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
speak.style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
"My
queen, it is the least we could do seeing how your father style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
supported
our humble order for all of the years that he breathed, and style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
we
shall take excellent care of his granddaughter and see no harm style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
comes
to her, nor shall we allow the evil that may exist in her to be style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
allowed
to surface."
The
girl child\'s eyes were now wide hearing herself described as style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
evil.
Was she dangerous? Was that how she was different? Questions style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
began
to form in her mind as well as confusion, anger and fear, but style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
before
she could voice them to anyone she found her mother kneeling style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
before
her, looking her straight in the eye.
"I\'m
sorry my darling, but this is where you shall live from now style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
on.
You may not understand and by the lord\'s blessing I pray you style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
never
will. I cannot stay with you, I must return back home. I will style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
not
come back."
"And
why would I ever want to see a mother who despises me so style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
much
that she wished I had been born dead instead of alive. I pray style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
you
never return and I never have to look upon fac face again."style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
"Relena,
I didn\'t mean..." Her mother stopped and bowed her head style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
as if
trying to hide the tears in her eyes; she brought her head back style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
up to
peer into her daughter\'s eyes again. "Please, my darling. style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
Never
doubt I love you with all of my heart and I do this for your style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
own
good, so that you may have a chance at a future of peace and style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
happiness
instead of darkness and pain."
The
youngest Peacecraft child knew not what to say and stood in style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
front
of her mother staring at her with almost dead eyes. Her mother style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
pursed
her lips trying to conceal the hurt in her eyes as she kissed style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
her
daughter\'s brow. She rose immediately and thanked the father once style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
again
and hurried her way back out through the gates. style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
The
squeal of the gates as they began to close snapped Relena style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
out of
her dazed anger. She ran full force to the wooden doors style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
screaming
her love for her mother but they where now closed and she style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
knew
not if her mother had heard her. Tears flowed down her cheeks style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
freely
now and she released a scream of hurt and pain knowing not style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
what to
do. She then felt a strong warm embrace and a calming peace style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
that
seemed to float over her body like a blanket of warmth; her style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
tears
stopped and her voice quieted.
"Come
my child. You\'re mother is gone and the hour is nearing style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
that of
the first meal of the day. It is best you get some rest style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
before
that time. She looked up into his face; it was one of the style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
most
kind and gentle faces she had ever seen. She remained mute and style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
only
nodded her head in consent and took his hand allowing him to style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
her into the monastery itself.
And
while the girl was just ending her morning meal, her style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
mother
miles away stood atop a cliff overlooking the ocean and the style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
sharp
rocks of the shore below. She had fallen in love with a demon, style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
allowed
him to defile her body and even barred his evil spawn. Her style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
son
she had lost over to the darkness and her daughter she had tried style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
her
best to save. Death was the only way out of her ungodly situation.style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
If she
returned she would almost definitely be abused and style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
tortured
severely for her betrayal and her mind would be picked apart style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
until
he had discovered the location of where she hid his daughter. style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
But,
if she were dead she could not feel the pain of torture and she style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
could
not be forced to give up her daughter.
Crossing
herself, she begged God to forgive her sins, though she style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
felt
she had committed so many that she was surely set to spend style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
eternity
burning. But if it meant her daughter would live in style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
peace...
"Then so be it." She whispered to the wind itself, as she style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
turned
her body and leaned back. Loosing her footing she began to style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
plummet
downward and with a silent scream her body crashed against style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
the
rocks below to be swiftly swallowed by the unforgiving waves of style=\'font-size:10.0pt\'>
the
salty sea.
