A/N: Ok so I know most of you don't like reading about made up characters with the Gundam boys but why can you like Kendra? She rocks, I should know I made her. I would like to thank all my friends for helping me come up with ideas to make this story. I would like to thank my mom for buying me the computer so I could write this story. But most of all, let's all thank my twisted mind that thinks up the stuff I write about. *Looks side to side* I never said I was a smart one, I just think my imagination is over active. But sometimes that can be good to... right? Oh well Read and review please. This fic was started, Sunday, August 22, 2004.


Chapter one: So it all begins.


The rain was pouring down and Duo had forgotten to grab his umbrella from Heero's car before it had taken off causing water to splash up on his already soaked attire, "He never did like me." He mumbled as he stuck his hands in his pockets. "Damn rain," He again mumbled. He was trying to find his own apartment living with Quatre scared Duo. He had always thought the guy had problems expressing his maleness but when he turned 20 you think that would stop, nope not at all. Heero was nice enough to give him a ride down town to find a new place maybe even find a box in an alley way but no place was open and all the boxes were soaked.

Duo looked in a window of what seemed to be a hotel and decided to enter, maybe even use the phone. "May we help you sir?" A woman behind the desk asked.

"Um... ma'am, may I use the phone?" Duo shivered from the wet cold rain that caused the air conditioned place to be even colder.

"Sorry sir, phone line is out, would you like a place to stay?" The lady asked lifting an eyebrow and taking her glasses off.

"Sorry don't have any money." Duo shrugged and started walking out the door when he heard...

"Hey! It's cold out there! Come to stay with me, I have a spare room." Duo turned around at the voice source to see a nicely built, 5'7, medium length blond haired, green eyed girl putting a coat on over her maid uniform. "I'm sorry, but I don't think anyone should have to be out in that mess." The girl smiled sweetly showing white straight teeth. "My name is Kendra, yours is?"

"Duo, Duo Maxwell," He smiled and took the hand she had extended to him for a hand shake.

"Well, I just got off work, and you are free to stay at my place." Kendra then lifted an eyebrow, "You're not a axe murderer are you?"

"Do you see an axe?" Duo grinned. "The only killing I have ever done was in the war, and I don't think that will ever happen again."

"Ok, well follow me to my car." She walked outside and popped open a black single umbrel"Get"Get under here, I know it's not much room but you are already soaked to the bone. You're gonna catch your death out here."

Duo did as told and not to much longer they were in a parking garage. "Which one is yours?" He asked looking around at all the vehicles.

"That one over there," She pointed to a black rag top Jeep with pink and purple flames up the side. "I know it is corny but my sister lost her license and gave me the thing, as soon as I get enough money I am g tog to buy a completely new car, a black Poniac Sunfire."

"I like Jeeps," Duo shrugged as he opened the passenger side door and got in.

"May I ask why you are outside in all this rain?" Kendra asked digging in a small box and grabbed a 14 gage loop, that is when Duo noticed her right eyebrow was pierced.

"I am trying to find a new place or a new room mate." Duo sighed and watched as she put her eyebrow ring in then a nose ring in the left side. "They make you take out your piercings for work?"

"Yep, I personally think it is stupid but oh well what ever keeps food in the fridge and shampoo and soap in the shower." Kendra smiled then started the Jeep. Her stereo started to play Godsmack as she backed out of the stall and started out of the garage.

As they entered the fair sized apartment Kendra turned to Duo, "Why are you looking for a new room mate?"

"Oh, my old room mate... kinda scares me, I think he is gay." Duo said bluntly causing Kendra to smile.

"You can stay here until you find a new place." She then headed to a closed door on the opposite side of the room which looked to be a bedroom, her bedroom. When she came out she pointed to the refrigerator, "If you are hungry there is some left over Chinese in there, your room is back beside the bathroom which is right there," She pointed to a closed door a few feet away from where he was standing. "I am gonna get a shower then if you would like you can get one, I will get you some of my brothers old clothes." She smile

"Your brother lives here?" Duo asked his eyes getting wide.

"No, he moved out last month, you are about his size. How old are you?"

"I just turned 21, what about you?"

"I just turned 18 like two months ago." Kendra smiled then walked into the bathroom.
