The Endless Love Finally Ends
Chapter 1
The dark shadows of the night cascaded over the small city of colony L2, it was a normal day in the junkyard for Duo Maxwell and Hilde Schbeiker.
\"Hey babe I\'m closing up!\" He called over to her as she peeked out from the computer screen. \"Thanks Duo!\"
As he closed the iron gate to the junkyard, there was a knock at the front door. Hilde went and answered it as Duo locked the gate tightly. Walking into the well-lit house, wiping his hands of grease with an old rag, Hilde was reading a letter, and had a red ticket of some sort in her hand. \"Whatcha\' got there D?\" He asked, approaching her and looking over her shoulder. \"It\'s an invitation from Catherine, she wants me to go see their next performance, apparently they have something new...\" He sighed heavily, biting his lower lip. Should he let her go? Or should he say no? She wouldn\'t listen to him if he did say no, so that was a no go, and even if he didn\'t want her to go, he may offend her, he wouldn\'t want to do that...
\"So can I go?\" He had a moment\'s hesitation, but sighed and nodded. \"Yeah, you can..\" She gave him a hug and a kiss on his right cheek.
\"I need to get ready, it\'s at 9.\" He nodded as she went off into the hall and into the bathroom. He flopped down on the couch and flicked through the channels, every once in a while, he would hear Hilde\'s footsteps running in the hall, with the occasional dripping from her hair after her shower. A twinkie sticking lifelessly out of his mouth, his feet propped up on the table, remote in hand. Nothing seemed to be on T.V. that night, and things that would normally tweak his interest, just didn\'t interest him.
