Chapter 1: Sgwrs

“I told you this was going to happen.”
Duo sat shell shocked, staring at the wall.
Michael sighed and moved so she was sitting next to him. “Really, this shouldn't surprise you.”
Duo stared mutely at the wall.
“I told you it wasn't going to work and that you were only going to get hurt.”
For a second she thought she saw his eye twitch but nothing else happened so she chalked it up to the light.
“If you had just listened this wouldn't have happened and they wouldn't hate you.”
This time his eye did twitch...
“I mean really, they're all emotionally retarded bastards, what on Earth made you think they'd understand?”
...and it kept twitching...
“This shouldn't surprise you, you said yourself this would probably happen.”
...rather violently...
“You know, you could always just explain what happened to them, that its just a big misunderstanding. I'm sure they'll understand.”
Okay, that looked like it hurt.
Michael grimaced as Duo's fist slammed into the wooden floor. “Do you have to damage my floor?”
Duo jumped up eyes blazing. “THOSE GODDAMM BASTARDS!!! THEY DIDN'T EVEN LISTEN TO MY SIDE OF THE STORY!!!!”
“Well did you expect them too? They're so damn emotional when it comes to things with you.”
“THEY'RE FRIGGIN ROCKS! ROCKS I TELL YOU! WHY THE HELL DID THEY CHOOSE NOW TO GET EMOTIONAL?!”
“Because they're human, you dope, they always choose the worst time to do anything.”
“THIS ISN'T FAIR! WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS? I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING?!”
“You rebelled against God and started a war.”
“Oh, sure bring that up.”
Duo glared at her, but Michael just gave him one of her patented looks.
Duo swore the women could out do Heero's death glare with ease and the bad thing was he'd seen her back it up, talk about eruptions, it had made Mt. Saint Helen's look like a kid's science fair project.
Michael rolled her eyes. “You can't stay here, Duo, eventually someone's going to look for you and they'll find you and then all hell will break loose.”
Duo sighed in defeat. “I know.” Then he yawned. “I might as well go back now anyway, it's getting pretty late.”
“Its not like their going to be waiting up for you.”
Duo glared at her. “Whose side are you on? Aren't you supposed to be supportive or something?”
“Who do I look like? Your mother? We aren't even on the same side.”
“Oh yeah, heh, I keep forgetting about that.”
“Idiot.”
“Are you going to walk me home or not?”
Michael rolled her eyes but took the hand he extended to help her up.
