Summary: The Bladebreakers have a new member. But what

one chapter. And I will probably take to devils and angels thing further in a
sequel.

Rumi-chan: Well, if Xan survived the torture then he can
continue being my slave, I mean, Disclaimer guy. And while you're making dolls,
could you get me a Kai plushie? Pleeeze? *puppy dog look* Oh, I'll just leave
the Voltaire torture to Kai.

Trueangel: Finally, the final chapter!

Xan: Trueangel does not own Beyblade or any of the
characters in this story, except me.

Trueangel: Off to an enthusiastic start, are we?

Xan: First impressions count.

Trueangel: I agree. Well, this chapter will have less
romance, cos I'm making it as action-packed as I can.

Xan: Basically it's one long battle.

Trueangel: Xan! You're aren't supposed to reveal the
story.

Xan: O_o Oops.

Trueangel: Well, I'll let you off this once. Ok, let's get
to work.

Chapter 11 The Angel’s Familiar

=Kai's POV=

"You will pay, Volten."

I turned around and nodded at Dreamer. Nodding back,
Dreamer started charging at my body... he entered my body. Instantly, I could
feel his righteous fury burning alongside my own. Burning, blazing as one...
fused as one. Fighting as one, as Xan had wanted us to. I was Dreamer, and he
was me. We were one.

I could feel my body mutating. I had a vague sense that is
should be painful, but my anger had blocked out all other emotions. A pair of
pearly white angelic wings grew out of my back, tearing out of my shirt. Also,
my hair lengthened, covering my neck. Its color changed as well, from two
shades of blue to a uniform silvery white. My wrist blades fused into my skin,
becoming part of me. My scarf lengthened into a white robe, wrapping around my
body.

But the physical changes weren't important to me. What
mattered most was the emotional changes. Dreamer and I could feel each other's
emotions. His strength, his earlier injury, his rage all flowed into me. His
holy might coursed through my veins, rejuvenating, restoring my own energy. His
tormented past, his painful memories were weaved into my own past and memories.
We shared one body, one mind, one heart. More importantly, we shared the same
overwhelming passion to defeat and destroy Volten.

Looking up, I saw that Voltaire was mutating as well. His
back became more and more hunched, until he fell down of all fours. A tail with
a scythe at the end extended out of his butt, while a set of black bat-like
wings grew from his back. Vicious claws appeared on his four limbs, and his
skin turned scaly. But most scary was the changes on his face. His expression
was feral and maniacal. Voltaire stood up to look at me. Evil stared out of
those eyes that were otherwise void of all emotion. Suddenly, it dawned on me.
Just as I and Dreamer had become one, Voltaire and Volten had fused into a
single body as well.

"Volten, perish," I and Dreamer said with the
same voice &qu "We'll see," he replied itonetone filled with
pure evil.

"Let’s settle this once and for all."

"Wait. Why don't we indulge in a bit of...
theatrics?"

As soon as those words escaped his mouth, my surroundings
started to change. Instead of that dark dungeon, we were now in a majestic chamber
lavishly decorated with gold. Towering pillars held the ceiling high above our
heads. The walls were covered in gigantic murals depicting wars between the
angels and devils. But the most interesting change was into the dish. It was
still stone, although white. However, there seemed to be a shimmering bubble
covering it.

"Dreamer, the dish..." I asked.

"It's a special force field that prevents beyblades
from being knocked out. They have to fight to the death inside," Dreamer replied,
speaking inside my mind.

"Where is this?"

"The Golden Stage, a place accessible only to angels
and devils. Apparently Volten transported us here."

"Well, golden or not, we are going to fight! Get
ready, Volten!"

"Very well," Volten replied.

We both held our launchers over the dish, gripping our
ripcords.

"3, 2, 1, LET IT RIP!"

Volten's red beyblade and my blue one flew into the dish.
Immediately, our bit beasts sprung into action: Volten's devil bit beast of the
same name, and my red phoenix Dranzer. In addition to Dreamer's fury, I could
feel Dranzer's passion flowing in my blood. The beasts circled the air above,
eyeing each other viciously.

"Dranzer, Fire Arrows!"

Dranzer sent a stream of flaming arrows at Volten, but he
avoided them effortlessly.

"Demonic Lightning!”

The air above crackled and a bolt flew at Dranzer, but he
dodged it easily as well.

"Not bad, Kai, but it'll take much more to defeat
me."

"Shut up, Volten. The battle's not over yet."

"Twin Claws!"

Voten flew at Dranzer, claws extended.

"Fly away!"

Dranzer flew upwards, but Volten merely changed direction
and continued its attack.

"Spiral Survivor!"

Dranzer stood its ground and emerged from Volten's vicious
slashing unscathed.

"Flamethrower!"

Volten, still recovering from its previous attack, was
caught in Dranzer's stream of fire, but it survived unharmed.

"I see you're good, but let's see how you deal with
this! Volten, show them our might!"

Volten responded by flying towards the edge of the dish.

"What's he doing? He'll just get bounced back towards
Dranzer!"

Suddenly, Volten burst out of the force field, to
everyone's surprise.

"This can't be!" Dreamer exclaimed. "He's
found a way to escapre the force field! But how?"

"I don't care! We cannot lose!"

Dranzer flew after Volten, but it got bounced back into
the center of the dish.

"Show him, Volten!"

Volten reentered the dish and slammed into Dranzer. Before
Dranzer could react, Volten had exited the dish a, le, leaving Dranzer helpless.
This continued on, as Dranzer took a thrashing from the obviously advantaged
Volten.

"Kai, this cannot go on! Dranzer will be
destroyed!"

"We have to stand our ground and find a way to break
the force field! I need more strength to do so!"

"Then find it! Seek it from new sources, seek it from
those around you, those close to you and willing to share their might!"

Those close to me... Rei! But how... Rei was miles, maybe
even more away from me. How...

Almost as though on cue, Rei's Driger, which I had held in
my hand, started to glow. I could feel a faint flicker of energy travel up my
arm. Could it be...

Suddenly, time slowed down around me again. But it wasn't
the work of Dreamer this time, I could sense the source was something higher,
greater. Driger emerged from it's beyblade, but it took on a humanoid form. It
looked almost like
&
"Kai," he called in Rei's voice.

"Rei? Wha.. how..."

"I'm not as far as you think."

"Where are you?"

"In the hospital, having my legs operated on."

"Then..."

Rei laughed. "Distance-wise, I am all the way on
Earth, yes. But we are all emotionally linked to our bit beasts, don't you
realise? When they chose us as their warriors, that bond was formed."

"So you are speaking to me through Driger?"

"Yes and no. You see, there is another bond that had
been formed. The bond of our love. A bond above of of us and our bit beasts,
a bond that cannot be touched by any form of sorcery or otherwise."

"Why didn't I know?"

"You do; deep within your soul you know. So do I; it
is my soul that is talking to you now. It's just that we've never bothered to
look deep enough."

"Then..."

"There is no time for questions, Kai. I'm using this
bond to lend you my strength. Use it to vanquish evil, use it to defeat Volten."

"But your operation..."

"I'll survive. It's you who needs the strength!"

"Rei..."

"Hurry, Kai! Use Driger!"

Suddenly, the image of Rei disappeared into the beyblade,
and time began to flow again. The scene of Dranzer getting thrashed by Volten filled
my eyes again.

Use Driger.

I held up Driger. There was no mistaking its energy
flowing into me now. I held it out, pointing it at zer.zer. A green beam shot
out of the bit chip hitting the phoenix. Driger, in its animal form again, came
out via the beam. It walked towards Dranzer, and the two collided in a burst of
light and energy.

The two bit beasts turned into shapeless forms of pure
energy. They mixed and merged into a single urge, and regained a new, humanoid
body. As the light faded, I could see the new creature clearly. It wore a red
helmet which entirely covered its face. Dranzer's eyes were marked of the
front, while the back of helmet stretched all the way down to the creature's
back, where it spread out into a pair of red phoenix wings. The creature wore a
white robe, reaching to its feet. In place of its arms, it had a pair of furry
tiger paws, complete with black stripes and dangerous claws, like Driger's. The
robe covered its feet, but I could guess they were paws as well.

"L... Light Dranzer... my familiar..." Dreamer
said in a weak whisper. Even Volten looked awed.

"You know her?"

"I know the face behind that helmet. I can sense it.
It is the face of my friend, the one... I told out about. But Light Dranzer is
something else. She is the goddess of the sun and moon, guardian of beasts. She
is revered by angels and even thvilsvils."

"But wha you your friend and the goddess doing
together in one body?"

"The Light Dranzer is not one person, it is a title
given to the person holding the post, as with all other gods. I guess my friend
ascended to take the position."

"Gods and goddesses of angels and devils? I guess
there's always something new to learn."

"The goddess has lent you her strength, Kai. Use it
well."

That was true. I could feel even greater might flowing
within me. The combined strength of three bit beasts - Dreamer, Dranzer and
Driger - had to be enough for me to win this battle.

"Hiwatari Kai, I hear your prayers."

"Light Dranzer?"

"I give you my might, my strength. Use it to vanquish
the darkness! Use it to erase the evil!"

"I... I will."

"I serve you."

"I.. yes."

"Now fight!"

"Ok! Perish, Volten! Light Dranzer, GO!"

Light Dranzer flew at the edge of the dish and shattered
it effortlessly.

"Wha-?" Volten exclaimed, shocked.

"Light Dranzer, g... what attacks do you have?"

"I don't know, you are my master!"

"I... yes! Light Dranzer, Sun Storm attack!"

Light Dranzer held out a furred paw, and a staff with a
sun at one end appeared in it. She struck the ground with the staff, and a
ripple of energy spread out throughout the chamber, slamming Volten against a
pillar.

"Infernal Blaze!"

Volten breathed a stream of fire at Light Dranzer.

"Er... Moon Mirror!"

The sun staff disappeared, and Light Dranzer held out her
hand again. This time, a round moon-shaped shield appeared. The shield had a
mirrored suface. Light Dranzer used the shield to block the attack. The fire
was sucked into the shield, and for a moment I wondered where it had gone, when
it reappeared behind Volten and scorched it.

"Twin Claws!"

Volten charged at Light Dranzer, clawtstrtstretched.

"Beast Tamer!"

Light Dranzer held out her hand again, and a whip took the
place of the shield. She lashed the whip at Volten, and tendrils of energy held
it down. Volten broke free of the binds, but its attack had been stopped.

"You force me, Kai! Void of Darkness!"

I watched as Volten shrunk and shrunk, until it's entire
mass was concentrated into a small area. Suddenly, I realised was Volten was
doing. It was trying to create a black hole.

"Do not be restricted by my abilities, Kai! You are
your limit!"

"Ok, Light Dranzer! Flame of Passion!"

I felt my love for Rei swelling up deep within my heart.
Every time we had spent together... Every moment we had shared...

=Flashback=

Kai looked at Rei, standing on the balcony. He watched the
wind catch Rei's hair and lift it gently. He heard Rei breathing calmly,
enjoying the beautiful sceneHe hHe heard Rei sigh, and in that sigh he felt Rei
release whatever he was worrying about. Kai felt relaxed looking at Rei's
beauty. When it came to Rei, every barrier, every wall he had built to guard
himself crumbled into dust. With Rei, there were no secrets, only passion. With
Rei, Kai was free. Kai watched as Rei winced from pain. The injury was yet to
be fully healed. Kai decided to walk up.

Rei felt a warm presence beside him. Kai. Instantly, Rei
lost all his worries, and his injury felt much better as well. Cold as he
appeared, Kai hid infinite passion and emotion, which strained to be released.
Rei was just happy he could free Kai from his prison. Rei looked into Kai's
crimson, passionate eyes, as Kai looked into his cat-like amber ones. They
spoke no words, yet both knew exactly what the other was thinking. Kai reached
out and gently caressed Rei's raven hair. In Kai's hands, Rei's hair felt so
soft, so silky. Rei closed his eyes and leaned in for a kiss. Their lips
brushed against each other, softly at first. Rei then looked into Kai's eyes,
silently asking for permission. Isponsponse, Kai leaned in for a more
passionate kiss. Their tongues explored each other's mouths, and their saliva
mixed into one. Kai flicked his tongue over Rei's luscious lips, and Rei did
the same thing in return. In the cover of the night, their souls melted into
one.

Reluctantly, Rei broke the kiss. But that moment of
passion was enough for now. They held each other in their arms, savouring the
intimacy. A leaf fell from a tree and got caught in Kai's hair, but Kai didn't
seem to notice. Rei removed the leaf and threw it aside. He then gently
caressed Kai's beautiful face, looking at those large, beautiful eyes, the
chiselled nose, the warm lips, and the trademark blue fins...

"Hey sleeping beauty. Guess you didn't need that kiss
to wake you up."

Kai didn't say anything as he walked up to Rei. Still
silent, Kai started rubbing Rei's crotch. Rei moaned in pleasure, but he
stopped Kai.

"Kai, not now. I need to get ready for breakfast.
Later."

"Fine," Kai pouted. "Reject me and forget
about it. Break my fragile, tender heart."

Rei laughed. "Ok, I'll share the bathroom with you.
How's that for an apology?"

"I was looking for a kiss, but I guess this will do..."

Rei smiled and gave Kai a chaste kiss on the lips.
"Come on Mr. Sensitive, we're gonna be late for breakfast."

He leant closer and closer to Rei, and Rei's heart beat
faster and faster. Thoughts raced in his head, chased each other, guilt, passion,
lust, emotion all intertwined...

Their lips connected, and for that instant, Rei felt above
anything else. Nothing else mattered anymore, as all the thoughts in his mind
to make way for only one person: Kai. It mattered not if Kai would hate him and
kill him tomorrow. It mattered not if the guilt of having slept with Xan was
going to haunt him forever. It mattered not if Kai would suddenly regret
forgiving him. All that mattered what that he loved Kai, and Kai loved him now.
Past and future made way for the present. Mariah and Xan made way for Kai. All
of space and time condensed into that magical moment, that single urge of
passion and limitless love.

Reluctantly, they ended the kiss.

"Rest well. I love you, Kai."

"I love you, Rei."

=End Flashback=

=End Kai POV=

"I love you, REI!!!"

Kai's body burst into flames, but strangely, he didn't
feel the heat. Instead, he felt happier than he ever had before. He had turned
into living fire. Light Dranzer had turned into fire as well, and they merged
to fight alongside each other. The fire wrapped around Volten, surrounding it.
It burned inwards, trapping Volten in its grasp, smothering it...

Volten's beyblade burst into flames as its master started
burning to death. Kai broke away from the fire, and his body rematerialised
beside Volten's charred remains.

"You are a good fighter, Kai," Light Dranzer
said. "I look forward to the next time we meet again."

At that, Kai felt Light Dranzer's energy leave his body and
leave the chamber. Driger's energy was being channeled back to Rei. Kai
channeled most of Dranzer's energy over as well, keeping a bare minimum for
himself.

"Kai?" Dreamer called.

"What is it?"

"Since Xan has died, I cannot remain on this realm
much longer. I need to leave."

"It's ok."

"I have an important job for you. You need to find
Crystallis. Volten has not totally left this realm yet, and he will return to
find Crystallis. You need to protect it."

"Where is it?"

But all Kai felt was a wake of emptiness as he found
himself in that dark dungeon again, back in his normal body. Volten's charred
remains had been left in the Golden Stage. Picking up Xan's body, Kai walked
out.

Trueangel: Done!

Xan: Yay!

Trueangel: Tell me if you want a sequel!

Xan: Please say yes, then I can extend my contract as
Disclaimer guy.

Trueangel: The epilogue will be out in exa a w a week,
when I announce my future plans for this story. There is one very obvious point
to build the sequel on, that is Crystallis.

Xan: Until then, R&R!!!

ending, I've scrapped it decidecided to leave Rei alive.)
