Unexpected Love

Goku caught the girl in his arms just in time to prevent her from hitting the floor. He was worried now. What happened to her? Why did she faint? He noticed that not only is she pale, but she also grew thinner than before. 

"What happened to her Goku?" Bulma asked with concern. She was also worried about the girl.

"I don't know... Maybe she got too tired.." Goku answered unsurely as he carried the unconscious girl in his arms. He walked towards the couch and he laid her down gently, then he sat beside her and he let her head rest on his legs. 

"Wait, I'll go get a senzu bean.." Trunks volunteered. Bulma just nodded at her son. 

Meanwhile, Vegeta did not speak and just approached the sleeping girl. He looked at her intently and concentrated on feeling her energy signal. Then he gasped. 

"It's just as I thought.." He said. Goku and Bulma looked at him in astonishment.

"What? Is she sick or something?" Goku asked worriedly.

Vegeta looked at him. "No. Concentrate and try to feel her energy signal. You will know what I mean Kakarot." He answered.

Goku did as he was told. He became quiet for a while as he tried to feel her energy signal. It was faint, but he could feel something else. It's as if something is growing inside of her. His eyes widened when he realized something. Could it be that she was...

"Goku what is it? What's wrong with Rikku?" Bulma asked. 

"Nothing is wrong with the girl, woman.." Vegeta answered.

"Oh, then why did she faint?" Bulma asked again.

"The girl is having Kakarot's child." Vegeta said, just in time for Trunks to hear it since he has already returned with a senzu bean in his hand.

Bulma was shocked. "What? Are you sure?" She asked Vegeta.

Vegeta grunted. "I knew it woman. I felt it through her energy signal. And I know that Kakarot also felt the same." He said, eyeing Goku who was still looking at the girl.

"Goku? Is she really.." Bulma started to ask.

Goku nodded. Everything finally sank into him. The girl is indeed having his child. He felt it. Felt the energy signal of his soon to be baby. His baby. He smiled at the thought. 

"Oh my god!!!! Congratulations Goku!!!!!!" Bulma yelled as she suddenly threw her arms around Goku's neck. 

"Woman, why do you need to be so loud?!!" Vegeta scolded. 

"Yeah mom.. You might wake her up.." Trunks said, pertaining to Rikku.

"Wel, I'm just happy for Goku. He's going to be a daddy again. After what happened to him, he deserves to be happy again." Bulma said.

"Thanks Bulma." Goku said with a smile.

She untangled her arms around his neck. "This certainly calls for a celebration." Bulma said with a strange smile.

"Oh no. Spare me the parties woman. I won't allow my training to be interrupted by those silly parties of yours." Vegeta protested.

"Well, Prince, we are indeed having a party tomorrow and I'm inviting everyone! So no trainings tomorrow, because we should all be there. If you don't show up then I'm not gonna fix the Gravity Room the next time you destroy it." Bulma threatened.

Vegeta groaned. "Why do I have to be a part of it? It's for Kakarot anyway!" He asked angrily. 

"Oh come on, Vegeta. Can't you skip one day of your training? Besides, what's wrong with having a party?" Bulma continued to tease him while Goku and Trunks looked as if they were about to burst into laughter. 

"Tch! All right! But don't expect me to be mingling around with your earthling friends!" Vegeta said angrily as he stormed out of the living room. 

"Well, that's Vegeta for you." Bulma said as she laughed. Goku and Trunks soon joined her.

"By the way, Bulma. I'm taking Rikku home now so she could rest.." Goku said as he stood up from the couch and carried the still unconscious girl in his arms.

"Wait, let her eat a senzu when she wakes up. She might need this.." Trunks said as he handed the bean to Goku.

Goku smiled. "Thanks Trunks.. Though I think she won't need this, but thank you anyway." He said. 

"So, we'll see you both tomorrow morning Goku. I'll call everyone else and tell them about the party." Bulma said.

"Yeah.. Thanks again Bulma." Goku said as he teleported back to his house with Rikku in his arms. 

They appeared in the middle of the room where they slept. Goku laid down the girl on the bed and laid down beside her. He wrapped his arms around her and watched her sleep peacefully. She is having his child. His heart skipped at the thought. He placed one hand on her still flat stomach and seemingly, he felt some slight movement inside. He felt as if someone had touched his heart. Right there and then he promised to himself that he would never let any harm come to them. He would never let anyone touch them or hurt them, and he would kill anyone who dared to do so.

He felt the girl stir up from her sleep. Soon, she woke up and was fully surprised to find herself alone with him in his room. Rikku wondered how she got there when she could clearly remember that she was at Capsule Corp a while ago.

"I brought you home. You both need to rest." Goku said to her, as if he read her mind. She looked at him incredulously. Both? She is only one person. Who was he referring to when he said both?

"Goku.. What do you mean by both?" She asked, confused.

He smiled and tightened his hug on her. "You and the baby. You both need to rest." He answered.

"Baby?" She asked again. Then everything dawned on her. The morning sickness, the change in appetite, why she fainted awhile ago. She is having a child. Her heart fluttered at the thought of having a baby, which is definitely his.

She looked at him with a smile on her face. "Am I really having a baby?" She asked him.

"Yes. Vegeta was the one to discover it first. I was so worried when you fainted earlier that's why I failed to focus on your energy signal. But Vegeta told me to do so, and that's when I knew it. You are indeed having our baby." He answered, his hand on her stomach.

Instinctively, she placed her hand on top of his, interlacing her fingers with his. "I'm having a baby.. I can't believe it. We're going to have a baby.." She said.

"Yes we are. And by the way, Bulma's having a party tomorrow and she's inviting everyone. She couldn't wait to tell all of our friends that I'm going to be a daddy again." He told her.

She leaned against him. "Sure, but I hope I won't feel sick.. So I could enjoy too. Saiyan babies are surely difficult to handle." She said to him. 

He just smiled and kissed her on her forehead. "Don't worry. You'll get used to it." He assured.
