Chapter 12


‘Rei don’t jump to conclusions. I mean no one saw us right? So of course it can’t be about Fai. Then what is this guy talking about?’
“I’m talking to you!”
He snapped out of his thoughts and looked toward Kai who was glaring at him.
“What?”
He got up and went toward the small kitchen. He walked over toward the refrigerator he opened it and pulled out a soda. He closed the door and leaned against the counter and opened his drink.
‘Gah! He’s giving me the silent treatment. I bet he is trying to freak me out.’ He continued to stare at the dual hair.
He began to drink and continued to give the raven hair silence.
“Hey say something already! Why did you call me up here?”
The dual hair glared at him sending a cold shiver down Rei’s spine.
“What gives you the right to accuse me?”
“Huh?”
“You decided to make an excuse by blaming your tardiness on me.”
“It’s the truth! You ended up changing my alarm clock and making me wash my hair with honey!” He clutched his fists tight and glared at Kai.
“Why the hell would I do such childish pranks like that?”
“How can you deny it? I mean you’re the only one here and I know you hate me!”
“And like I said before. Why the hell would I do childish pranks?”
“Oh yeah right like I did all those things to myself.”
“Whatever.”
“Is that all you called me for? That’s what you knew I did?”
“What else am I going to tell you? Other than you are an immature child that cannot live up to the dance performance expectations.”
“Will you stop saying that shit!?”
“It’s the truth. So suck it up.” He took another sip from his drink.
“You’re the immature one! Especially since you keep insulting me and doing stupid pranks.”
“Believe what you want. But I swear I didn’t do that. I don’t do childish pranks. I rather beat the crap out of you or tell you right in your face that you are a screw up and will always be one.”
“Enough!”
Kai looked up at Rei who was completely furious.
“Whatever.” The dual hair removed himself from the counter and walked back toward the couch. He sat down and turned the television on once more. “Why don’t you go do something useful? Like practice before you screw this next performance up as well.”
‘I can’t believe this asshole! I would like to give him a bloody lip right now!’ Rei let out a frustrated sigh.
Kai just looked up at the raven hair and smirked. Rei’s eyes widen and narrowed his eyebrows in pure rage.
“What are you smirking about?”
“You’re a real idiot.”
“I said stop insulting me!\"
Kai stood up from the couch and walked over toward the raven hair who began to back away.
“Don’t you dare come near me, I know martial arts!” He continued to back away until his back slammed hard against the wall.
Kai continued to walk toward him until he was pressing against the now shocked raven hair. He placed his hands on each side of Rei’s face and leaned in close. The tips of their noses were touching and their lips were a so close that Rei could feel the hot breath touching his own trembling lips.
“W…what are you doing?” He whispered to the dual hair.
Kai lifted the raven hair’s chin up and looked directly into his yellow eyes. Rei stared deep into those red orbs and was soon lost in them. ‘What is he doing?’ His heart began to beat fast and he felt the heat rush to his face. Kai continued to stare into his eyes and leaned in closer. ‘Why can’t I stop my heart from beating this fast?’ He began to drop his eyes lids and soon had them closed and was leaning up toward Kai. He began to kiss up and then he was on the floor on his face. “OUCH! What the Crap!?” He lifted himself up and began to rub his now sore nose. He looked up and saw Kai looking down at him with amusement showing in his eyes. “What was that for!?”
“You believed I was actually going to kiss you? Listen I’m not a homo like your pal. So I am sorry to disappoint you.”
He made his way toward the bedroom and closed the door.
“BASTARD!” He clenched his teeth and slowly got up. ‘That! That! BIG FAT JERK!’ He quickly made his way toward the bedroom door when suddenly he had it slammed against his face. He was sent falling back landing hard on his butt.
“My nose!” He clenched his nose tightly and soon had his hands dripping with blood. “Crap! I think it’s broken!” Tears began to form in his eyes.
“You idiot! How stupid can you be running into the door like that!” He leaned down and glared at the raven hair.
“Well you should be careful when you open it!”
“Here let me see.”
He tried to remove Rei’s hands away from his nose but the raven hair pulled away.
“No! It’s your fault! I’m suing!”
“Crybaby.” He grabbed Rei and pulled him onto his lap. He began to struggle and tried to remove himself from the dual hair who had a tight grip on him.
“Let go!”
“Stop!” He roughly pinned the raven hair onto the floor and placed all his weight onto the shocked boy. “Remove your damn hands and let me see.” He snarled at him
He did as he was told and slowly removed his bloody hands from his nose. Kai placed his hand on it and began to lightly pinch the bone. After a few minutes of it he removed himself from the raven hair and walked over toward the kitchen sink. He grabbed a paper towel and soaked it. He walked back toward Rei who was still on the floor.
“You can get up.”
He slowly began to lift himself up and sat up. Kai kneeled down and began to wipe the blood from his nose. He wiped Rei’s face clean and then he began to wipe the blood of his hands. He got up and tossed the bloody paper into the trash and walked over to the freezer and began to pull out the ice tray. The raven hair began to pinch his nose to feel if any bone was sticking out or missed place. The dual hair walked back and handed him the towel with ice cubs inside.
“Place this on the back of your neck and lay down.”
Rei accepted the towel and stared up at Kai in pure shock.
‘Why is he being so nice now? I mean a few minutes ago we were yelling.’
“Well hurry up!”
He snapped out of his thoughts and quickly made his way toward the couch.
“Idiot.”
Kai walked over toward the couch and pushed the raven hair down. Making him yelp in surprise.
“Don’t worry. I don’t plan on raping you. Idiot.”
Rei’s cheeks flushed and he quickly turned away. A knock was heard.
“Hey it’s me Tala!”
Kai walked over toward the door and opened it.
“What?”
“Julia is waiting for you at Oasis. She is growing impatient.”
Kai grunted and walked to the coat hanger and grabbed his jacket. He walked out and closed the door behind.
‘My heart is beating like crazy…my face it hot.” H placed his hand over his cheek. ‘Man I don’t get that guy. First he acts like he wouldn’t care if a wild dog were to eat me alive. But when I do get hurt he actually attends to my injuries. Why?’ He sighed and leaned back. He rested his hand over his eyes and began to doze off.


He began to pant feeling the pair of hot hands roaming and touching every inch of his body. He moved his head to the side and covered his flushed face with his hands. He then felt a wet hot trial running from his chest and down to his navel. He moaned loudly and gripped onto the person’s hair. Those same hands moved to the dust colored nipples and began to twist them sending pure pleasure into the raven hair.
“Oh…Kai!”
He felt his slacks slowly being pulled releasing his swollen member. He moaned when he felt hot breath blowing at the tip.
“Please…Kai…”
Suddenly he felt a cold splash of water hit his face.
He quickly sat up and began to cough.
“What…what the hell!?” He wiped his face and looked behind the couch to see Julia glaring down at him. “J…Julia! What are you doing here!?” He looked over her and noticed she had her hair dripping wet and only a robe on her. “The hell?” he whispered loud enough so only he could hear himself. He heard the door to the bedroom opening and he looked over to see Kai emerging with a towel around his neck and he had on a pair of gray slacks and a black muscle shirt. ‘They showered together!” His eyes widen and Julia smacked him hard on the head.
“Don’t even think anything like that you pervert!” He looked up at her with a confused stare. “It started to rain alright! Kai just asked me to come in to dry off.” She walked around and moved Rei’s feet.
“You’re a noisy sleeper.”
“Sorry.” He felt his cheeks blushing and he lowered his head down.
She turned around and saw Kai walking over to the kitchen.
“Make some coffee.”
He didn’t reply but the sound of the pot moving was heard. Julia smiled and turned back toward Rei.
“He is so good to me.”
Rei felt a bit upset at her but ignored it. The sound of the rain could be heard outside and all three of them were in the room in silence.
“Tell me Rei. How in the world did you get Brooklyn to take you into the class?”
“Um well I don’t know he just told me the news.”
“I see. Well I don’t want to scare you but there has been rumors going around about you now.”
“Rumors?”
“Julia stop.”
“Why? You know he should know it.” She looked back at Rei.
“A lot of the performers are saying that you have been sleeping around with Brooklyn and Jin. They are saying you always have a threesome with them. Not only that but they saying you use to be a slut back in your home town.”
“What!? Why are they saying shit like that?”
“Come on. Don’t act so innocent. In fact I am wondering myself. Brooklyn never took in the other students who didn’t make it. That’s why they are now prop and clean up crew.” She leaned in closer and stared into the raven hair’s eyes. So do you really sleep with him?”
“Enough Julia.” He walked over and handed her a mug of coffee.
“Kai come on. Aren’t you a bit curious?”
“No.”
“Come on. I mean you saw him in practice. He seriously does not belong on stage. And why would Brooklyn let a complete novice performer a huge production that we have been working on for months?”
Kai didn’t answer he just took a sip from his mug and looked over at Rei who looked upset. She just sighed and took a sip from her drink as well.
“Maybe we should all do what he did. I’m sure Brook will go easy on us and maybe recommend us to those top notch companies.”
Rei could feel hot tears forming in his eyes.
‘How can they think that? I worked hard and Brooklyn saw it.’
“Oh well what can you do?”
“Julia I said enough.”
She looked up at him and saw he had anger in his eyes.
“Fine.” She finished her coffee and stood up. “ I got to go. I’ll pick up my clothes in the morning.” He walked over to Kai and kissed him on the cheek. “Night and thanks for dinner.” She waved at Rei and walked out of their room.
Rei continued to stare at the door until he felt a pair of eyes looking at him. He looked up and saw that Kai was staring at him. He blushed and got up.
“I guess I better get to bed too.” He made his way toward the bedroom and jumped into his bed hiding under the covers. He then let the tears he was holding back slowly fall down. ‘Why? All I wanted was to join. I didn’t do anything wrong…’ He sniffled continued to sob softly. He then heard footsteps quietly making their way toward the bedroom. He held his breath and waited to here Kai make his way toward the restroom. Instead he felt a weight setting itself onto the edge of his bed. He removed the covers to see and saw Kai looking at him.
“Julia doesn’t know when to shut her mouth. Listen. I really don’t like you. But I can’t do anything about it. Brooklyn made this decision and I don’t know why. But I will only say this to you once. If you have a dream to become someone big, then don’t let anyone or any rumors get in your way. You have what it takes you just need to get it done right.” He placed his hand on the side of Rei’s cheek and with his thumb he wiped away the tears falling down. “Crying won’t help. If you want to show them and if you wish to show me as well then work hard at it. This isn’t easy and for a fact I am not going to make your life her easy here either.” He leaned in and lightly kissed him on the lips. He pulled away and made his way toward the restroom. He raven hair just watched him in shock and placed his shaky hand over his lips. ‘What is up with that guy?’





“Ow! Hey watch it!”
“Then will you stop squirming Rei?” A frustrated Mariah looked up at Rei who had a frown on his face.
“Sorry. I just hate this. I mean do I really need to be the dummy for the costume?”
“Everyone does it Rei. Look Kai is getting his fitted and you don’t see him nagging.”
Rer looked over to his right and saw Kai with out a shirt getting his pants fitted and altered. The dual hair turned and saw him looking at him making Rei quickly turn away blushing.
“Hi ho everyone!” Brooklyn came in with a smile on his face as usual. He walked over toward Rei and began to look over the outfit. “Hmmm. Mariah make the hem of the shirt fluffy like the bottom of a dress. Oh and a big double bow. Oh make it look like a sailor type of outfit. And his boots should reach all the way up here.” He walked over and measured the length of Rei’s boots from bottom to the top of his thigh. “Oh and that means you will wear some spandex shorts that will be a bit short but will look nice.” He then placed his hands together. “How about if I make a sketch!?” He walked over to the table near Mariah and pulled out his pen and began to doodle on the paper lying there.
“Brooklyn I understand what you mean. There is no need for that.”
“No I insist.” He continued and soon everyone in the class began to whisper to each other. They were looking up at Rei and then their glances went back down toward the orange hair. He sighed and lowered his head.
‘Don’t let it get to you Rei. They are just being the way people tend to be.’
“Oh and I can design Tala’s wolf outfit too!”
“Here he goes again.”
Rei looked down and saw the red head he met earlier in the dorms.
“What do you mean?”
“Each time he wishes to do a quick sketch on how the outfits tend to be. He begins to spend all day doodling away. Before you know it we are all going to be wearing some ridiculous outfits just wait a see.”
“Oh”
“I’m Tala.”
“Rei.”
“Yeah the loud mouth idiot. I remember. So how are you holding up with Kai?”
“Um alright. I mean it is barely the second day after all.”
“Yeah. But even a day with Kai can make you insane right away.” He chuckled and Rei simple grinned.
“Well I can handle anything.”
“Good to hear. So that means you won’t mind hearing all those rumors right?”
“Right. Let them talk all they want. It’s not going to stand in my way!”
“You got spunk. I like that.”
The raven hair smiled and the red head just shook his head.
“Anyways everyone always talks here. If they continue let me know. I’ll teach them a thing or two.” He winked up at Rei making him blush.
“Uh no it’s alright. I rather do that myself.”
“If you insist.”

After a few hours of sketching the outfits and the crew making them. Rei was standing in front of a smiling Maraih.
“You look so cute! I love this out fit!”
Rei had on a pair of long black cat ears that stood high and he had on a black choker and a huge gold bell. On the back he had a huge black bow, his shirt was a black tight no sleeve shirt with a dress like hem on the bottom of it. He had on long tight black gloves that reached in the middle of his arms. He was wearing mini black tight spandex shorts and high black stockings that were cut on the top but then connected on the back. He was wearing some low black boots. He looked furious while Mariah continued to tease him.
“I look like a stripper or a playboy magazine person.”
“Aw. How can you say that? I worked real hard on your outfit. And Brooklyn is happy how it came out.”
“I feel ridiculous.”
“You look great! Raul come here!”
The Spanish boy moved away from the mirror and walked over toward where the pink hair was.
“Yes Mariah?”
“Tell Rei he looks like a real cute cat.”
Raul looked over to the raven hair and soon his whole face became flushed.
“Well?” She looked at him with a frown.
“Um well…” He looked down and began to twiddle his fingers.
“Come on does he look good or not?”
“Mariah it’s alright. I feel silly as it is. Don’t make it harder on me.”
She pouted and then looked away from them.
“Fine. Be that way. You are so mean. I worked hard making your costume and this is the thanks I get.”
“I love it really.”
“You’re lying.”
“I’m not I swear.”
She turned back at him and smiled.
“So you will go and show Kai then?”
“What?”
“Show it to Kai. Let him tell you his opinion. After all I am going to make his and if he doesn’t like yours than I know I can’t make his.”
“But…he will insult me.”
“You said you loved it. What does it matter if he does make fun of you?” She looked up at him with sad eyes and a pout lip.
He sighed and jumped from the stool.
“Fine you win. I’ll go show him.”
“Yay! Thank you!” She hugged him and he slowly made his way toward Kai who was busy reading over his part.
His heart began to beat faster every step of the way. He stopped in front of the dual hair and cleared his throat. Kai looked up from his script and soon his eyes turned wide. Rei was standing in front of him with his head down with red colored cheeks and he was shyly pulling on the front of the hem trying to cover his front.
“Um…Mariah wanted me o show you my outfit and ask you what yu think.” He looked up at him shyly and waited for a reply.
Kai quickly snapped out of it and looked at Rei.
“Whatever. It’s fine.” He quickly moved away and began to exit the backstage.
“Really?” He called after him but didn’t get a reply. ‘Huh I wonder what’s the rush?’



“Good job everyone. Today we did good progress. Tomorrow we shall continue alright?” Be here after your classes. We will practice then. Bye bye!” He smiled at them all and waved to them.
They all began to leave the stage leaving Brooklyn and Jin alone soon
“I’m beat.” The orange hair sat on one of the chairs and sighed.
“How can you be? Today we mostly worked on finding the perfect outfits.”
“Yes but we got them done. Some of course. But soon we will have them all done in no time.” He smiled up at Jin who just shook his head.
“You really are a strange one Brook.” He walked over and sat next to his friend. “Doesn’t it bother you with the students talking crap like that?”
“Not really. Why should it bother me when it isn’t true. If the only way for them to prove themselves is by saying such shit then they are not real performers.” He leaned and rested his head on Jin’s shoulder.
“ Guess your right.”
“You know I’m right.” He rested his hand on the other man’s chest and sighed. “I wish Garland was here. He would be able to handle this better”
“Garland?”
“My best friend. He always was able to handle situations like this. I miss him.” He closed his eyes and slowly began to drift to sleep.
‘That could be his lover…maybe he is just teasing with me cause he misses that guy…’ He looked down at the orange hair and soon he felt a heavy ache enter his heart.



“Hey Fai.” Raul kneeled down and picked up the little animal as soon as he and Rei entered. “Look who’s here?” He stood up and looked at the raven hair who began to pet the small animal on the head.
“Hey little guy. How’s it hanging?”
the little animal nudged his head against Rei’s hand and gave a little cry.
“Heh cute.”
“Yeah. So um you want something to drink?”
“Sure.”
Raul put Fai down and walked over toward his small refrigerator. He grabbed two sodas and handed it to Rei who was standing behind him. They began to drink in silence.
Raul put his drink on the counter and began to run his index finger on the rim of the can.
‘Why am I so nervous.’ He Spanish boy looked up at Rei and then quickly looked away. ‘I wonder what he is thinking.’
“Raul?”
“Uh yes?”
“Remember last night…the whole kiss?”
“Yes?” ‘I bet he’s angry…’
“Well…damn I really don’t know what I’m going to say…”
He looked away and placed his hand behind his neck and began to rub it.
Raul bit his lower lip and suddenly he threw himself on the raven hair. Rei’s eyes widen and soon he had a pair of hot lips crushing onto his. He soon closed his eyes and wrapped his hands around the Spanish boy’s waist bringing him closer. Raul soon began to rub his hips against Rei making the raven hair jump.
“Sorry.” Raul whispered in between the kiss.
“No…its great…’ They continued their sloppy kiss and soon began to run hard against each. ‘…This feels incredible…’
Suddenly they are interrupted by a scream that quickly made them pull apart. They looked toward the door and noticed it was open.
“Oh no Fai!” Raul quickly ran out followed by the raven hair. They stopped halfway down the hallway and saw Julia hiding behind an angry looking Kai.
‘Oh hell no!’ Rei’s eyes widen in pure horror as he stared into those red angry looking eyes.
