Disclaimer:
I do not own the Gundam series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Indomitable elucidation

Author’s note: YAY!!! Your reviews gave me great joy…that they did. The reviews never fail!!!
Warnings: Nothing at all!!! Well, other than the usual of course…
Disclaimer: Tis a far far better thing, that I do not own Gundam Seed. For If I did…homophobes would weep…and then I’d laugh at them. And then other people would laugh at them too just for the sake of it. And then a bunch of dudes would be laughing at the homophobes who would then never be homophobic again…then the whole world would be happy and GAY!!!

//Maybe if I had not already been Kira’s that would have broken me…but not while I have you, my Kira.//
And with that lasting thought, Nicol fell into a well deserved rest.
***
Kira simply glared at the passing blonde boy. //That disgusting jerk. I can’t believe those things he’s done to Nicol. Everything. The pictures, the harassment, and all the damn humiliation he’s put Nicol through since the beginning of this year. I can’t even stand him.//
Kira frowned deeply at himself. //I shouldn’t bear so much hate; even for someone like him…after all, hate just brings about more hate…doesn’t it? But it’s still hard…after what he’s done to all my friends.//
The brunette sighed and closed his indigo eyes, wishing he could shut them to everything that was bad in the world.
//But it’s not too much after all. Nicol’s gone off to his room and Blake’s just gone off to…whatever class the creep goes to. I should go and check on Nicol though.//
And so the boy staggered tiredly off to the double doors that would lead him into the school, intent upon talking to Nicol and at least making the latter feel somewhat less distressed.
Kira grimaced as he once again caught a glimpse of the justly detested blonde boy. Blake just glanced nonchalantly at him, attempting to ignore Kira’s presence and continuing his stroll up the grand staircase.
Kira frowned, his brow furrowing. //Why is he headed up there? Most of the classrooms are on this main level, only dorm rooms are upstairs…//
The thought clicked as soon as it was formed.
//No.//
Kira wasted no time in rushing up the stairs to pursue Blake. He darted up each step until he came upon the landing, pausing for a moment to recall where Nicol’s dorm was and then speeding off in that direction. Kira had almost made it too, when the rest of Blake’s gang swerved out from behind the corner.
An unusually tall one with uneven black cuts of hair stepped up to Kira. “Going somewhere?”
“Yes, actually.” Kira attempted to shift around the boy but he seemed to be able to obstruct any movement the brunette tried.
The rest of the group just stood behind this one boy, sniggering to themselves and leering at Kira.
The black-haired boy spoke again. “Nah, my friends and I were just thinking about what that could mean and we decided it’d be better of you just stayed with us.”
Kira focused all the fiery wrath of a thousand broiling suns into the glare that he aimed at whoever this boy was.
The latter cringed. “So, not very happy with that idea huh? Well, onto plan B then.”
Kira barely had time to react as he felt a fist fix solidly with his jaw. Once his eyes had cleared from the stars, Kira touched where he had been hit. The area was still pulsing with the heated sting.
Around him, the other boy’s were jeering.
//Why can’t these people just leave Nicol and I alone? What have we done?//
Kira was yanked out of his thoughts by another strike, this one slamming directly into the back of his head. Kira collapsed to the floor in a tangled heap of limbs, his world dissolving into an unyielding darkness.
***
Kira groaned as he struggled to sit up. His mind felt foggy before he managed to remember what had happened. //Oh, yeah…one of those accomplices of Blake’s hit me…so where am I now?//
The boy looked around, attempting to sharpen his gaze, and failing instantly. Wherever he was, wasn’t part of the school.
Taking in his surroundings, Kira found that he was in a small clearing; much like the one’s found throughout Azure’s garden.
//Is that where I am?// Kira wondered. //But how’d I get here? I don’t remember coming here…and why would Blake’s thugs drag me out to the garden?//
“Don’t be startled.” A clear voice, one that came from a woman, pierced through the silence.
Kira’s confusion gave way to astonishment as he saw before him, a completely clear image of long deceased Azure, long black hair flowing behind her just like it did in all the old photographs depicted throughout school history books.
“Are you…A-Azure!?” Kira asked, his voice tinged with incredulity.
The woman nodded and smiles softly. “Yes, that is my name, the one I went by while I worked here, and the one I continue to go by to this day. Any other questions before I get started?//
Kira nodded numbly. “Why am I here right now? I don’t recall coming here.”
“You aren’t technically in this garden, actually. Your mind is in a state of unconsciousness at the moment. I don’t doubt that you remember why.”
Kira’s eyes darkened. “I do remember, and I should get back to…consciousness if I’m going to help Nicol.”
Azure spoke again. “Try not to worry. You are so caring, and rightly so but Nicol is strong. Stronger than some may give him credit for. He will be alright. He’s already survived the worst of it.”
Azure snapped her elegant fingers and Kira registered that he was looking at a scene through a veil the woman had somehow conjured up.
He didn’t like what he saw. Nicol was handcuffed to his own bed, naked. Kira blanched.
“I have to get back so I can help him!” Kira’s face twisted to a frantic expression.
Azure sighed. “Calm yourself and look harder. Does Nicol look broken? Behold his face and pay attention to what he’s doing.”
Kira was beginning to become frustrated with Azure. She was asking him to calm himself when Nicol was in trouble. Or was he? Upon closer inspection, Kira could see that Nicol was very relaxed. As if nothing had happened. Or at least nothing that he would even dignify with a reaction. Kira managed to smile as he gazed at his peacefully resting lover.
“See?” Azure began. “He isn’t damaged. He’s not broken. If anything he’s more determined than before, to stay strong. And you know? You’re his inspiration. So don’t worry, I have more to speak of with you.”
Kira slowed his breathing and spun back to face her. “Alright. Why am I here? What did you want to talk to me about?”
“I wanted to tell you about the key. Nicol had it in a dream and he may not realize that it is still in my garden, waiting for him. I want you both to find that key. It may lead you to some answers.”
“So, you want us to find some key in your garden?”
Azure nodded. “Then you’ll be able to unlock what must be unlocked.”
Kira stared into her eyes, hoping that they would reveal something more to him. They didn’t.
“Promise me?” Kira began.
“Yes?”
“That you’d help us…if we were in danger of being split up…Nicol and I. Because I love him, and I don’t want to lose him.”
Azure nodded. “I understand. Now, find that key!”
Kira grinned and bowed his head in assent.
Azure grinned as well. “Then it’s settled. See you both.”
