Boundaries pt. 7

Silence had long since filled Goten’s surroundings yet still he got up carefully. He didn’t want to cause any more trouble for anyone. Something he was almost sure he’d do had he stayed with Nassu and Daikon. He was still going to try and find a way out of here. He learned his lesson about suicide. But he’d do it alone were he couldn’t hurt any more people.

He started walking through he didn’t know to were. He prayed he was going in a straight line, but with the pain distracting him he couldn’t be sure. For all he knew he could be walking around in circles. None the less he kept walking and though the time did change the landscape did not. Or if it did he didn’t see it in the complete darkness. The ground under him remained smooth and even and the air stayed still.

He was just about to give his aching body a rest when he saw it up ahead. It was like looking at the sun though a think canopy of trees. A patched out scattered light. It did shine but did nothing to light up the landscape. It was as if it was trapped within itself. Unable to shine out and flood the area around it. Yet the light was somehow familiar, though he couldn’t quite put his finger on why.

Then another light appeared before him. But this one came from within him. He looked down at himself to see a bright burning light from about were his heart was. Despite the bright light he still couldn’t see his body beneath him. It seemed this light too was self-contained. Then a tiny stream of the light shot away towards the other in a flawless narrow line. Goten gasped in a mixture of horror and excitement when the two lights met and he knew exactly who it was.

The Vapory creature held it’s newest toy tight allowing the half Saiyan to become lost in his own hallucinations. He was unworried, no one had ever escaped him before and that went for this young boy too. He’d dealt with this boy before. Five years ago he’d snagged a boy in the process of committing suicide. They were easiest to get then. Thier defense was the lowest and he could usually snag them without them even realizing just what had happened, until he wanted them to that was. With this particular case though he’d found a new game to play. The boy had been in love with another and so after taking five short years to torment the boy with loneliness he had brought the boy’s love to his place to make him chose between the boy and another.

He chose a person to call the boy’s balance though really the only thing that they had in common was one had been born at the same time the other had died. He chose this other boy only because he was young and the young didn’t wear down as quickly from pain. Also the first boy’s love knew the other boy so that would make his game all the more interesting.

He smiled at the thought of the torment he’d seen on the face of the half-Saiyan that he now held. Of course the boy had chosen his love and left the younger one to his fate. Being in a good mode at the time he’d let the first boy go and how had he repaid him? By coming back into his place with three other metalers!

He had to shut the gates between their world and his place. Now he’d have to wait for another year to get back in to deal with them otherwise they would be able to escape and he couldn’t have that. No one came to his place uninvited and got away with it. True a year was hardly anything to one who would never die, but he hadn’t even had time to play with the new boy yet.

Oh well he’d still be there and he had this little half-breed to keep him amused. He closed in on the boy, the mist that made up his figure growing more and more dense until he formed himself into a human from. With a quick though he decided to take on the form of the boy that this one loved. It would be much more interesting that way.

The boy lay on the ground before him shivering. Still hopelessly lost in his own hallucination, as he would remain for the rest of his pitiful excuses for a life. He only brought them out of hallucinations when he wanted to play with them. He allowed the boy a few more moments in his dream state before bring him out to serve his purpose.

The moment he did so however a huge light shout out of the boy. It flew over and was joined by another. “Impossible!” he screamed in disbelief. The other light came from his place. But no one could break though it unless he wanted them too. “No this can’t be, I won’t let them do this!” He swirled up in a cloud of anger. Snatching up his new prize he went to his place. The three metalers may escape but not these two loves. They dared to challenge him?! They would pay.

The light was shut out. Mist surrounded him, a mist Goten knew well. He tried to run but found the mist to be unbelievably solid. It was as hard as rock, harder still because Goten could break through rock. He had no such luck with this however. The mist caved in on him like desert sand submerging him alive and cutting off his air supply. The sandy textured vapor seeped into his mouth and nostrils and then his lungs when he tried to breath. He tried to cough the stuff up but found that impossible without air. So he collapsed right there gasping for the breath that it seemed would never come. The sandy mist swirled around him, blinding him.

Then out of no where a pair of sturdy hands wrapped around him. He looked up only to be confronted by darkness. But he knew the feel of those strong hands. The hands that had picked him up from so many tragic battles. No, he didn’t need to see Trunks’ beautiful form to know who held him. He forced his arms up and around Trunks and put as much of his weight on his feet as he could handle. The two walked on through the sandy mist supporting each other’s weight but their captor held them tight.

Trunks realized he couldn’t use a ki blast on it. Why he couldn’t use one at all. He still didn’t know how he’d found Goten. He hadn’t been able to see him but that didn’t matter. Trunks had known exactly where Goten had been, somehow.

The ice crept up on Trunks, threatening to swallow them both whole. That wasn’t happening, if Trunks couldn’t destroy the dam thing with ki, he’d just have to settle for old faction kicks and punches. He lashed out at the icy pillars with one hand while still holding Goten in the other. Each time his fist or foot hit a target an icy current ran though his body. It seemed with every one he knocked down, two more had come in its place. His hands were soon blooded and pain filled his every joint but still he persisted. He wasn’t going to let Goten down, again. It seemed somehow the thing was getting smaller and when Trunks glanced over he noticed Goten too had taken on the fight. The two stood hands intertwined bodies pressed against one another for support their minds and souls linked together in one single purposes, to destroy the one that dared to keep them apart.

“Nassu how are we going to find anyone if you keep leading us in circles like this?” Daikon calmly demanded, “I should lead so we can keep moving in a strait line.”

Nassu didn’t seem to agree with his simple logic. “I have been going in a strait line! It’s you that keep throwing me off.” Daikon growled back at him, “how are we ever going to achieve anything if you don’t get your act together?”

“The same goes for you!” Nassu shout back. Ichigo watched the stubborn Saiyans’ argument. This was likely to go on for awhile. She was glade though, they’d been walking for a really long time and she could use the break. She was about to sit down when she noticed a far off light. She looked up at her daddies confused. They had to have seen it too right? She didn’t like all this dark, light would be nice. She let go of Nassu’s paint leg and headed off towards the light. It took about five seconds for Nassu and Daikon to realize she was gone. In is darkness she could still be standing with them and they wouldn’t see her. Yet when they felt around she was no where to be found. “Ichigo!” Daikon cried out beside Nassu but there was no answer. It seemed that the two had now lost both their children with no way to find ether.
