Chapter 12 Guru’s advice



Guru watched the two Saiyans standing before him while Nail explained what was going on. He nodded in appreciation in the direction of Goku then spoke. “Thank you young Saiyan. It is rare to see people like you. Your heart is as pure as gold. We all owe you a big thank you.”



Goku smiled in return. “Thank you Guru. It is nice to meet you. I would be grateful if you could return our troops so that they can come home.”

“No problem. We owe you this.” With that he closed his eyes and waved his hand. When he opened his eyes again he said, “Your troops are among the main troops of yours now.”



Goku’s scouter started to beep. He pressed the button.” Yes Jeice, what is going on?”



“General Kakarotto, the missing troops have mysteriously shown up. What is going on? Shall we attack? I repeat, shall we attack?” Jeice reported.

“No!” Kakarotto answered firmly. “I have asked them back. Tell them to stay put until further instruction. Control them – do not allow them kill any of the residents.”



“Yes Sir!” Jeice shut his link to the device.



“Thank you very much, Guru. I promise. We will never come to harass you again.” Vegeta snorted at Kakarotto’s words. As if Kakarotto could shut out Frieza. I wonder where his new found confidence comes from. “For now, farewell. It was great to meet you. And you, Nail.”



Guru smiled. “You are the nicest creature I have ever seen. Wait a second. I have a gift for you.” He beckoned his hand. “Come around!” Goku stepped forward. Guru put his hand over his head. “You will need this to confront your ultimate enemy. I cannot help you more than that. The rest will be up to you.” With that Guru started to exert his magic.



Moments later, Goku found his power increasing multifold. He could feel the energy surging around his body and knew he had received a rare gift from the magician. “Thank you Guru.”



“And you.” Guru turned around to look at Vegeta. “You are not as pure hearted in many aspects. However with regard to the emotional connection, you are as pure hearted as your mate. For that, I want you to receive this gift from me too. Your mate will need your help.”



“Phs. I don’t need some lousy magic to enhance my power. My power is already strong on its own.” Even so, Vegeta still moved forward. He heard the last sentence. Kakarotto would need his help when they went back to face Frieza. Although he appeared confident, his heart already churned with worry. Frieza was by far the strongest of all. That was why the entire universe’s bandits, criminals and fighters all bowed to his iron grip. Nobody had seen his true power level yet; nobody had reached that far without being killed. He really needed all the power he could get hold of. “Work it.”



Guru ignored Vegeta’s rude attitude and shook his head with a smile, completely aware what was going on in Vegeta’s brain, he exerted the same magic on him.



When Guru finished his work, Goku bowed to him. “Thank you so much. We should be leaving now. There are plenty of things that need to be done.”

They turned around and walked to the door. Suddenly Goku’s scouter beeped again. This time it was Sagi. “Goku, did you say that Earth has dragon balls?”



“Yes. What’s wrong?”



“You know I said Frieza kept me busy on his project while you left? He asked me to produce a super fast space ship. Later he also asked a lot about Earth’s conditions, residents, power levels, etc. Now I checked his destination and found he actually went to Earth! When you mentioned dragon balls it rung a bell! He must have heard of Earth’s dragon balls somewhere. Now he went to hunt them to get eternal life or eternal power so that nobody can ever surpass him!”



Goku gasped, “Kami, he will harm the inhabitants there!”



“Most definitely. He normally purges the planet once he gets what he wanted.”



Goku remembered the four star ball with Gohan. “God! I need to go to Earth! Now!!”



Nail stepped forward. “We can help you. We can send you to Earth by dragon balls.”



“Thank you very much. Nail. Can you send me to my troops first as I have something to tell them before I go.”



Nail said. “No problem. Just hold onto me.” Then all of them disappeared.

They all reappeared before Kakarotto’s troops. Vegeta shouted first, “What was that?”



“It was a magic Guru taught me. I can move to anywhere inside my planet.” Nail explained.



Goku ignored the conversation and talked to Jeice. “How is everything?”

“Everything is good, Sir. Nobody broke ranks or started looting or killing yet.” Jeice answered politely. Before the battle with Kakarotto, he had already earned a reputation of being cruel and evil among the warriors. Once he ordered something, nobody broke the rules.



“Good. Thanks, Jeice.” Kakarotto jumped into the air so that everybody could see him. “Everybody, listen! We are not purging this planet! As a matter of fact, we are not purging any planet at all from now on. “ Goku paused a moment, waiting for the information to register. Murmuring noise spread through the sky as the soldiers were talking about what was going on.



“It is not right to kill! Imagine your hometown had been purged and all your beloved ones dead. Wouldn’t that be a very painful experience? Why would we want to do that to other people? Killing can only bring about hatred, which incurs more killing. This creates a vicious circle.”

Many warriors actually had their hometowns destroyed and lost everything hence becoming Frieza’s slave killers. They thought of the painful memories and started to cry.



“From now on. No more killing. You are all dismissed. Go home, to your families. I will answer Frieza’s crimes alone.”



Both Vegeta and Jeice were stunned. Vegeta’s eyes turned thoughtful. Wow, he is so powerful, so male, so strong and tough at the same time. He is gorgeous! I knew he liked to attract trouble. If that is my fate to take trouble with him, so be it.



Jeice did not expect this outcome. As Frieza’s second General he should object Kakarotto right now. But he could not bring himself to do it. Not only because the Saiyan was stronger than him, but also because the Saiyan had opened a completely new door in front of him—to be free.



He jumped into the sky and shouted to the boiling crowd. “You heard what the General said? It is an order. If you don’t follow, you have to answer me.”



The crowd was stunned. They did not expect both commanders to insist on dismissing them. Finally the homesickness got the better of them and somebody started to take a ship and leave. More to followed. Those still wandering around were those who had lost their homes and had nowhere to go.



Kakarotto shouted again. “Those who have nowhere to go, you can stay here until I have my business with Frieza sorted. I will try to find you a new homes.”



Vegeta cursed inwardly. Fighting along side Kakarotto was no problem. But why was this idiot insisting to look after these tramps? He did not want to be a male nanny.



But there was no time to think. Kakarotto grabbed him and rushed to Jeice first, “Could you look after those remaining troops for me? I have to go now.”



“Sure, General. I am always at your service.” Jeice bowed his head, eyes full of admiration. Vegeta made a mental note. Need to be aware of Jeice in future.



Kakarotto turned to Nail. “Can you take us back to Guru please?”



Nail nodded.
