Author’s note: And here’s……………*Ominous drum roll*……THE NEXT CHAPTER!!! Yes. I am indeed moving along with the plot and as always I thank reviewers!!! They make my world spin. But not in the dizzy make you sick way, more like in the; I love you and I can’t function without you, way. Of course I’ve never really thought about the Earth spinning like that but…okay, I’m just gonna stop now.
Warnings: Uh…all the usual I suppose. I got a review on a different fic that I am writing and it made me think about some of the words I use…they may not be used appropriately but that’s how I talk about things… (My friends think I’m strange because if I don’t know the meaning of a word, then I concentrate on it and a few hours later I’ll jump up in class and say something like, “I remember what Fascism means!!!) So if any words or sentences are inappropriate then maybe you won’t mind too terribly to point them out in a review or something along those lines. *Cough, cough*
Disclaimer: Uh……something is supposed to go here but it is so agonizingly evident that I don’t see the point in even saying it…*Random citizen number 14.7 chases me with pitchfork* Alright, alright!!! I’ll oblige!!! I do not own Gundam Seed. Nor do I own your little orange dancing pigeon. Satisfied!?

Azure grinned as well. “Then it’s settled. See you both.”

//I’m still handcuffed to this bed.// Nicol though with disdain as his wrists were beginning to feel a touch bit abused. //I wonder how I’m going to get them unlocked...//
Then, as if on cue, Kira pushed the door open and stepped into his boyfriends unusually cluttered room.
Nicol’s head snapped up to meet the gaze of his lover’s.
Kira began to feel a sting of wetness scorch at the rim of his eyes and he willed it to evaporate.
“Nicol!” He ran over to the pale-haired boy’s aid and began working to unlock the cuffs with a little wire he had found upon waking after his encounter with Azure.
“Kira…you know what happened…” Nicol began, unsteadily.
Kira nodded.
“Then,” Nicol started again, “You still…want me right? You still love me even though Blake touched me too?”
Kira responded by pressing his lips to Nicol’s in a gentle yet searing kiss. Nicol had missed the feel of Kira’s lips on his own.
“Nicol, I could never feel ashamed of you, or anything that’s happened to you. I’ll always love you.”
And so it was Nicol’s turn to feel the burn of tears at his eyes. The relief washed throughout his entire body, cleansing him of Blake’s touch.
//I knew he’d still care for me.//

Cerulynn flipped a strand of short blonde hair out of her line of sight and sighed.
//I hope they last longer than we did.//
Azure stepped up to sit beside her lover, on a stone bench amidst the flowers.
“Thinking again?”
“Of course.”
Azure smiled in slight amusement. “You were always out here in life, thinking away your days.”
Cerulynn smiled back. “Seems like I haven’t grown out of that, even in my afterlife.”
“Is this really the afterlife?”
“It is the one we were meant to have.”
The ebony-haired woman nodded. “Yes, it is…but not for eternity. You realize that right?”
Cerulynn raised her face to stare into Azure’s. “Yes, but we will be together, through anything that comes.”
Azure inclined her head, a wilful fire ignited in her eyes.
“Yes, because that was the pact. I hope those two boys find their answers in the clues we have left for them.”
“They will. Undoubtedly.”

Nicol opened his eyes to see moonlight illuminated his bedroom. He looked to his left where a seemingly asleep Kira, rested.
Nicol smiled as he gazed upon the contours of Kira’s face. He had all the time he wanted to memorize that beautiful face. And those eyes, which were currently open and staring at him with gentle amusement.
“Couldn’t sleep?”
Nicol blushed and smiled softly. “No, I just wanted to see you beside me.”
Kira sat up and stretched. “It’s still night.”
“Yeah.”
Then it hit Kira, he remembered what Azure had said, about the key being in the garden. The dark-haired boy practically leapt out of bed, a concerned Nicol climbing out after him.
“What is it?” Nicol asked, curiosity lacing his voice.
Kira spun around to face the other boy. “It’s Azure. One of Blake’s followers hit me and I saw Azure in her garden and she told me to go back there with you and find the key!”
Nicol just stood and gazed back with disbelief. Kira gave him a moment for it to sink in.
It didn’t take long for Nicol to recall his strange dream.
//The key.//
“Well, why are we still here? We should go to Azure’s garden and pick up the key she left for us!”
The brunette smiled as he opened the door and slipped out into the night, along with Nicol.
***
The two boys strode throughout the darkness, paying no heed to the slight chill of the night air. Night air was always rumoured to be unsettling on certain people but for the couple that braved it’s resolute wave, the only thing night air did was seep through their hair and play with the folds of the their clothing fabric.
“Kira? Do you believe we’ll really find a key in that garden?” Nicol asked.
“Yes, with all my being. When I talked to Azure…it seemed so real. The garden we were in, her appearance, everything. It just seems so inconceivable that we wouldn’t find anything in there. How about you? What do you think? What was your dream like?”
“I believe we’ll definitely find the key in there. My dream was so real. I could swear it was her voice that spoke to me…and I felt the key in my pocket before I woke up. Besides, there has to be something. I mean, it would be a stranger thing to have both had the same sort of visions, about Azure and the key. I don’t think it was coincidence. I believe we were meant to do this, to find this key.”
Kira nodded sharply. “Exactly.”
“We’re here.”
Both boys slipped down into the grove of Azure’s garden, pausing to pay proper respect for the sheer beauty and symbolism.
Nicol made his way over to the dais mural. He stood upon it but saw nothing.
Kira stepped up beside him.
“Where did you see the key in your dream?”
“Well, I found it on the ground…next to a green feather. Then I picked it up and slipped it into my pocket. But, this is the ground where it was…I don’t see anything here.”
No sooner had the words been uttered, when a stunningly ethereal woman appeared. Like mist she clouded into the air until her image was completely clear and stood before them like a sculpture. A very alive sculpture. The woman spoke.
“Oh, hello there, I was expecting you, but I wish I had just said something less cliché than that…my name is Cerulynn. I am the woman that was forever bound to Azure in our love for each other.”
Kira and Nicol both stared for a moment before their senses returned like the torrential splash of a wave.
“Azure told us to come here and look for a key…do you know where we can find it?” Kira inquired.
Cerulynn smiled and produced a small key, green feather attached and all. She tossed it to Nicol.
“Here, you both must unlock the door. Nicol, examine your key more closely.”
The amber-eyed boy obliged. He observed the jagged edges and the shape of the key before concluding what he had previously wondered. “It’s my dorm room key!”
Cerulynn nodded, her eyes twinkling with uncontained mischief.
Nicol spoke again with confusion. “I thought Blake had it!”
Cerulynn grinned. “Oh, he did…not for too long though. I made sure it wasn’t in his possession when we needed you to have it. He should be wondering where it is soon enough but he won’t have it again I trust…”
“No, he won’t get it again.”
“Good. Now, you’d both better get back to your dorms before dawn arrives. I expect you’ll find our clues. Nicol, that key isn’t merely a dorm room key. Your dorm room is the oldest in the school, I myself stayed in it when I was a student. That key is a skeleton key. It’ll open any room in the school.”
Kira stepped forward. “How will we know which door to open?”
“You’ll know. Kira, you’ve been in the room where the clues are before.”
“I don’t remember anything like that…”
“Think Kira. It was only last year. I believe you were with a boy when you went…a boy who is no longer attending this school.”
Something snapped in Kira’s mind at these words. He stared directly into Cerulynn’s eyes, which reflected slight melancholy. The dark-haired boy nodded grimly.
“I remember now, how could I forget that after all.”
Nicol turned to gaze softly at his partner. Whatever it was that was reflecting sorrowful emotions in Kira’s eyes was up to Kira to reveal to him.
//I respect that he may need some time before he tells me all that went on last year. I wonder what this place has been like in these previous years…from what I’ve gathered, it’s changed a lot this year.//
Kira swivelled his head to the side and smiled at Nicol. “I promise you’ll know. I’ll tell you soon.”
“Don’t rush. What needs to be said to me will be said when the time is right.”
Kira felt a mist of warmth surround his heart. //We are so magickal. I’m glad I’ve found him, the other half of me. Just like Azure and Cerulynn.//
Cerulynn was calmly assessing what had been said by Nicol. //He’s really is just like me…as Kira resembles my Azure.//
“Well, you two. I promise we will be seeing more of each other.”
The woman disappeared without a trace except for the fragmented scent of the ocean.
Nicol gently grasped Kira’s hand and caressed it lovingly. “Let’s go.”
Kira turned and walked out of the garden with Nicol, hand clutching the latter’s almost desperately.
