Delicious. The flavors of the food melted over my tongue, I almost groan at the strong feeling of happiness that washes over me with each taste. That freaky, brain dead fool is looking at me funny and I realize that my friends are too. “What?” I growl at them, realizing suddenly that I was purring rather loudly. I wanted to stop, but it felt so good.

Raditzu shrugged his shoulders and gave me an innocent look, “If you like Kakakrot’s food that much, you should tell him verbally it is only polite.”

I glance to the short haired fool and he was grinning shyly at me. “Good food,” I grunt and go back to eating, purring with each bite.

“Thank you ‘Geta.” Goku said, scratching the back of his head. “I was thinking of making a meal back at my friends house for you today! I can cook better if I have the tools. But…Bulma doesn’t like me cooking in her kitchen after that one time I nearly burnt it down!”

I choke on what I was swallowing, nearly exploding with laughter.

“Oh my…what happened?” Raditzu asked, sounding politely worried.

“Oh, I put it out, but I had singed a lot of Bulma’s favorite wallpaper and her counters…and the paint on the ceiling pealed…” He winced, “She was yelling at me for weeks for it! I just hope she’s forgiven me by now!”

“Well, if you’re friends, I am sure she has.” Raditzu said, his eyes sliding to me as if he wanted me to join the conversation. He had another thing coming if he thought that.

“So…Vegeta…” Goku said, his eyes shifting to me. Oh great, here comes more stupidity. I wanted to stop him before he could open his mouth, but he spoke before I could come up with a coherent battle plan. “There is a fair in town! Maybe we could go check it out. To…to make up for all the bad stuff I’ve done to upset you.”

I wasn’t interested in his offer, not in the least. However, my interest was peaked by the mention of a new word I had never heard before. “What is a Fair?” I almost regretted asking the question when I saw a glint of something appear in his expressive eyes.

“Oh, it’s the greatest thing!” Kakkarot said, and I can already feel a headache starting to throb right below my temples. “It is a place where there is all kinds of sweats sold, and they have rides, and games, and fireworks! Chi won’t ever let me go because its so late when all the fun gets started…but, since I seem to be in her dog house, I think we’ll be able to go!”

My head was reeling with all the new words Kakkarot had rattled off, all of them giving me no idea to what they could possibly mean or even be.

“It sounds nice…we’d love to go.” Napa said, finally joining the conversation. I’ve always liked Napa—at least I did when I wasn’t jealous of the man. He wouldn’t ever speak until he was finished eating, a man after my own heart. Food first, everything else second.

“About this friend of yours.”

The conversation turned towards a woman Kakkarot called Bulma, who, according to what I was hearing. Could give us a full physical, and maybe even find if that lizard freak was tracking us some how. I had always suspected he was.

“This woman, would she keep our secret?” Raditzu asked, and I had no idea what he was talking about.

“Oh, about you living here? Trust me…she will. On Earth, we don’t communicate with other…planets…we can hardly communicate with each other!”

“Great. How soon can we be there?” Napa asked.

“In an hour.” He said and he was looking at me again. My attention shifted to him and his cheeks burned pink, his eyes shifting away from mine. Was he staring at me? “We can leave as soon as you are ready.”

I had already finished my meal…well not all of it. I couldn’t bring myself to eat the second egg and the second slab of fish meat. Something told me that Goku was hungry and so I offered it to him, he gladly took it and devoured my scraps like the mutt he was.

After he had finished cleaning up, he lead the way to the West. He could fly pretty damned fast for a weakling and I found myself following close behind him instead of at his side like my friends who, despite my constant training, could still fly better and faster than me. However, from this point of view, I got a perfect look at his muscular rear end.

I don’t know why I was looking. It was really an unremarkable butt, but I really couldn’t help myself. Grinning I began to purr again, wondering what his furry tail would feel like. Would it be rough, or would the fur be silky soft like mine? Gah, where were these thoughts coming from. Yes, I had to admit that they where better than thinking about Furiza and his minions, but…I was going to make myself gag!

It didn’t take nearly as long as Kakkarot said it would, we were touching down on the outskirts of a overly large factory of some kind before I knew it. He lead the way up the front of a huge house that reminded me somehow of the palace back on Vegeta Sei.

“Well, here we are, lets see if she answers the door.” He pushes a button beside the door’s frame and stood back waiting. I was starting to feel fidgety, I couldn’t pin point why, but maybe it had to do with meeting some of these humans. According to Raditzu’s report, they were annoying, bothersome creatures, just like Kakkarot. Kami, I could not deal with another Kakakrot, even if someone was paying me with Furiza’s life.

The door opened and a blond woman stepped out. “Oh Hi Goku! I’m so surprised to see you after that yelling Bulma gave you! Come in, come in! Oh, who are these handsome friends of yours! Oh, look at that one with the long hair, are you some kind of rock star sweetheart?”

Raditzu’s cheeks went cherry red. “Uh…no…uh, I just don’t like haircuts.” He said, backing away from the woman who seemed to be trying to examine his hair.

“Mother? Who’s at the door?” My eyes snap at once to the blue haired woman who was walking around a corner, a screwdriver in one hand and a coffee cup in the other. “Oh, hey Goku! Come to burn my kitchen down again?”

It was Kakkarot’s turn to flush, “No…no…I just brought some friends over. Can we talk to you in privet?”

“Of course Goku, why don’t you follow me back down to my lab. I am conducting an important experiment I can’t really leave alone for too long.” She said, motioning the men and her friend to follow. I didn’t know why, but I felt instant dislike for the short woman. She was nearly my height, and she was scrawny with just enough fat in all the right areas to be attractive, but I didn’t find her attractive at all. In fact…she almost felt like…competition.

I want to growl, but I held back. After being beaten bloody by Furiza for most of my life, I had learned incredible self control over my instincts. “Oh, by the way, Goku.” The blue haired woman added suddenly, “Chichi’s here…”

“Chichi?” Kakkarot said, and I saw his face visibly pale under his dark bangs.

“GOKU!”

It almost felt as if my head was going to explode from the shear sound of that yell. I turn around and I see a black haired Human woman stalking up, a spatula in one hand and a towel in the other. “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN! WHO ARE ALL THESE NEW PEOPLE! I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TO GET RID OF HIM AS SOON AS HE WAS BETTER!”

“Chichi…” Kakkaort said, holding his hands up before him, as if trying to pacify this beast who was bearing down on him. “Raditzu’s my…”

“I don’t care what these people are! I want you back at home doing your chores and that’s an order mister! You know what a bad influence you are being on your son!”

As if on cue, a small, messy haired boy came running around the corner. He looked a mess, dirt smeared on his chubby cheeks and his cloths torn, and muddy. He couldn’t have been any older than five, and he…he had a tail. My eyes snap up to Kakkarot at once and I felt something like understanding dawning. Even Kakkarot was mated, I really was alone. I suddenly didn’t want to be here, my headache which had only been growing before was here in it’s full strength, throbbing between my eyes and in my temples.

“OH MY GOD! WHAT DID YOU GTE INTO GOHAN!” The woman screamed, chasing after the child. I watched them go, thankful that the banshee was gone because my head surely couldn‘t take another second of that high pitched voice.

“Come on, lets go before she gets back!” Kakkarot said, turning around he put his hands on my shoulders, pushing me towards an open door. His touch was gentle, but firm and I recognize some small bit of panic in his actions. The blue haired winch lead the way down the stairs beyond the door and we followed after.

“Your mate is insane, how do you put up with her?” I asked, folding my arms over my chest.

“Mate?” Both Kakakrot and the woman asked, sounding puzzled. Ah, yes, that was right. Kakkarot still did not know about mating. I growl, grinding my teeth. Glancing to Raditzu, I saw that he was about to start explaining.

“That is when you choose someone to spend the rest of your life with. Napa is my mate. We will grow old together and die together…or we will die as one in battle. Mate’s have a strong bond, they can read each other’s mind, know each other’s desires no matter how far apart they are. However, this strong bond can never be one sided, if one Mate dies, the other dies or goes insane.” Raditzu said, “You aren’t mated to her…are you?” Kakkarot shook his head slowly, frowning.

“Should I?” He asked and I almost wanted to shout at him for being so stupid. Females were only for breading, you didn’t bond them. That wasn’t even it, the bitch was Human and a weakling at that. I glance to the blue haired woman, my eyes taking in her form. When I had been kidnapped, females were on the decline because of recent genetic engineering feats. We had created Saiyan males that could become pregnant. Raditzu was one of them…and my father had aloud them to do the same to me. However, there were no men around here that could give me a child…and no Saiyan females. As far away from the planet as I was, I still had to start to think of producing an heir.

I snorted at the thought, an Heir to what? Furiza’s torture? No, I did not need an heir, there was no need for women period. No need for Kakkarot or this little mud ball of a planet. “Well, I think if I do a scan using something called a MRI, I can find out if you have anything in you or not.” The wench was saying but I ignored her, my eyes shifting to Kakkarot then to Raditzu who looked a bit uneasy. Through our pack bond, I could get some idea of why and knew at once that this was the woman that he had met shortly after landing here.

My eyes narrow at the woman, I really was beginning to despise her with everything in me. “How about you go first?” The woman was saying, walking towards a machine that looked like a long tube of some kind. She began to press buttons and a long board came out of the tube. “If you will lay down on this…”

I growl at the woman, but Raditzu gave me a look that asked me to do it, so I go to the machine and lay down on the board. I don’t know what is going on, I hadn’t been following their conversation at all. “Hey, ‘Geta…” Kakkarot said, and I found that annoying bastard standing over me, a doppy grin on his face. “You remember how you said you wanted to spar me! Well after this, I can show you something really neat and we can spar. You wanna?”

I fight against the growing anger in me, “Sure, what ever,” I said keeping my emotions from my voice expertly.

“Now…lay perfectly still or else this won’t work.” The woman was saying and I sigh in exasperation. There was a whirring sound and the device I was laying on began to slid back into the tube. I felt funny and I was tempted to climb out but I decided to cooperate with what ever the woman was doing. After all, she treated Kakkarot’s wounds and he was okay…if a bit stupid. I was starting to suspect that that was because of a head injury.

Before I knew it, the board I was laying on was sliding back out and Raditzu was helping me to my feet.

“Well, here are the results…he has, what looks to be, some sort of metallic implant at the base of his tail…it won’t be hard at all to remove. In fact, I can do it right now if you wish.” She was saying, coming over from the control panel. She looked at me, her cheeks coloring. “Do you want me to remove the implants now?”

Raditzu glanced to Napa and I knew they were having a silent conversation over their bond. “Yes, right now.” Napa said and he looked at me. I knew exactly where this was going.

“Well then, if you will come with me…” Bulma said, leading the way into another room, this one was built out of cold steal and smelled of sterility. I was instantly reminded of the medical wing on the ship, shivering, I felt dizzy. I was almost afraid to look back, unless Furiza was standing there, watching me. “Lay down on the table.”

I saw the small, cold table she was talking about and I climbed onto it. Glancing to Kakkarot I felt a blush rising on my cheeks. The woman was asking me to lower my trousers. I had been expecting something like this but…I hadn’t expected to see the faint blush on Kakkarot’s cheeks. I hadn’t been expecting Kakkarot to be so…respectful. He had turned around to face the wall so he couldn’t see when I pulled my pants down below my firm buttocks.

The woman put something cold against my lower back just above my tail and I gasped, pain explode up my back. I wanted to run, I couldn’t see what she was doing back there for all I know, all this could have been a dream and those cold hands that where pinching my skin could be Furiza’s. “I just gave you a local to numb the area.” The woman’s smooth voice was saying. I must have whimpered, because Raditzu was now at my side, holding my hand.

“There we are,” She muttered to herself and I heard a metallic clink from the right. There was the sound of paper crinkling and then tearing and I felt something being pressed against my back. “I’m not going to give you stitches since the incision is so small and…if you are like Goku, you’ll heal fast. I’m only putting butterfly tape on.”

I look over my shoulder as best as I could and saw the clear bandage over what looked like a bloody cut almost the length of my fingernail. Raditzu pulled my pants up and I sat up, testing out my back. I felt no different. In fact, there was no pain at all.

“Vegeta, we’re going to have ours removed as well…then we are going to put them in the pods and have the pods take off…” Raditzu said, sounding as if he was asking my approval.

I didn’t answer, I hopped off the table, I had a sparing match with an idiot who was about to be pounded into the ground.

“Well, we’ll take that as a yes.” Napa said, calling after me.

I leave the lab, finding that I had no idea where the idiot had gone to, he had disappeared while I was having the hunk of…of my past removed from my back. Looking around, I spotted the blond air head and went to her. “Where is Kakkarot?” I asked gruffly, expecting an answer, she looked up at me with surprise.

“Who’s Kakkarot dear?” She said and I found myself wanting to strangle the life out of her useless body. Suppressing the urge, I left towards the door we had first come in through.

“There you are.” The idiot says, as I walk out into the bright sunshine. He is grinning in that, dumb, clown like way that seems to get my blood boiling. It sure was madening to think that he had just left me, and now he was grinning at me like some fool, but I ignored the urge to hurt him. He would pay for his crimes latter, after all, I was planning on beating him into the earth‘s crust.

“Did you get lost?” He asked, those bright expressive eyes closing for a moment, while that bright smile grew wider. I could see his sharp, white teeth and I shivered. Everything about him was very Saiyan indeed, except…his dumb behavior. Too bad he was a complete nimrod, he could have made a great mate.

He could have been a great mate and the fact that he wasn’t, the fact that I couldn’t stand him made me growl in anger “Yes, no thanks to you, bakayaro!” I answer in my native tongue when it became apparent that he was waiting for an answer.

He looked puzzled and shrugged his shoulders proving my suspicions, he didn‘t know Saiyango. Grinning, he motions me to follow him. He seemed impatient, as if he couldn’t wait to show me what ever he had mentioned earlier.

“I was thinking about how you were crying earlier, this might cheer you up!” He skips off around the house, forcing me to follow him. What ever he was insisting on showing had better be good, I was getting impatient to pound his face into a new shape. I was scowling, my arms crossed over my chest, I know I was intimidating Kakkarot, he kept looking back at me, giving me funny looks. I couldn’t help it. I was feeling angry, restless, and…just plain agitated.

He leads me to a gate in a brick wall and he pauses. “’Geta…you’ve got to promise me that you won’t…be…harsh. There are fragile beings in here that I don’t want to see get hurt.” He said, peaking my interest and I nod my head in agreement. If it were other beings that he wanted to show me, I would happily view them any day of the week. I loved to meet other creatures, especially if they were weaker than I, it gave me the chance to show of my superiority. Maybe that is what Kakkarot was doing, finding spectators to watch our battle. He was sorely mistaken if he thought he was going to pound on me in front of his friends to make himself look good.

He opened the gate, pushing it slowly inwards. He glanced back at me, smiling and holding out his hand to me. I look at it then at him. I was not about to take his hand. However, he didn’t budge and I wanted to see what was behind the damned wall. Taking his hand I let him lead me into the enclosure.

I was shocked, I nearly stumbled over my own feet. Looking around with wide eyes, I took it all in. I was surrounded I had never seen so many in my whole entire life. It was…beautiful.

“You like it?” He asked me, breaking through my haze of awe. “I love these flower beds too…they are so…pretty.”

He was still holding my hand in his, standing by my side, his body so close to mine almost like how Raditzu and Napa stand together. I feel my cheeks heat up, but I had promised not to be harsh, not to be mean or violent…and I could see why. I didn’t want to harm this…this masterpiece of earth. “Who grew all these?” I asked, looking up at him. I loved flowers with a passion, but I got so very few glimpses of them after I left the home world.

“Bulma’s mother, she has a real green thumb, doesn’t she? I come here when I’m feeling down and it always cheers me up!” He lets go of my hand, wondering up the trail that ran along the wall to our left. I watch him go, my mind buzzing over the puzzle that was him, that was Kakkarot. The man was obviously not right in the head, he was so…stupid…sometimes, but he seemed to be so aware some times, so knowing, that it was almost scary.

“What is a green thumb?” I asked him, following the trail behind him.

“Oh, it just means that you are good with plants.” He said, his arms folding behind his head. He had stopped, his tail coming unwound from around his waist. He was looking at the sky and I follow his gaze. “Raditzu and Napa have left.” He tells me and I can feel their Ki’s fading too.

“Then you can sense other’s kis.” I asked and he turns to look at me, that dumb look back on his face. He nods and takes off running down a path I hadn’t even seen before because it was so neatly hidden behind a flourishing rose bush. I race after him and I suddenly realize that there were small life forms running and jumping and bouncing around the flowers.

Kakkarot has stopped once more and I find myself in the middle of the large boxed in garden. Here at the center, there was a clearing, shaded by trees. What ever those small creatures were, there were a handful sitting, and laying around this clearing making odd noises. “I love kittens too…there’s about twenty of them in here! Bulma feeds them all.” He said, picking one of the furry creatures up. The creature began to purr and I feel my jaw begin to drop. I hadn’t ever heard another creature make that noise before. I had thought Saiyans were the only ones who could. “Here, you want to hold her. She is one of the nicest cats I’ve ever met.”

He holds the fur ball out to me and I take it from the baka. I had always been fond of animals, in fact, I think I remember begging my dad and mom for one when I was a little younger than six. The creature I held began to purr louder and I slowly stroked it’s fur behind it’s ear. The creature leaned into my touch, and I had to smile. Okay, so I had a soft spot for flowers and small furry pets…

A large hand brushed through my hair and my head snapped up at once, my eyes locking on Kakkarot’s surprised chocolate brown ones. “I-I’m sorry…” He mumbled, looking away, his cheeks coloring. “I…I…you just looked so…” He said something else but it was mumbled and I didn’t understand him. I was about to get mad at him again when he took off into the air.

Setting the kitten down I glower up at the speck that was him. “HEY YOU BASTARD! YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO SPAR WITH ME!” I take off after him.

“Did you see Vegeta and Kakkarot in that garden?” Raditzu shouted to his mate, giving Napa a huge grin.

“Yeah…but…” He said, speeding up to catch his mate who seemed to be flying as fast as he could. “Vegeta is always angry at Kakkarot. What makes you even think that they like each other?”

“Well, first off…I am starting to form a brotherly bond with Kakakrot…and I can tell that he likes Vegeta.” Raditzu said, his eyes scanning the land below them. He had a faint idea where his pod was and where Napa’s and Vegeta’s where, but he wasn’t quite sure and he didn’t want to miss them.

“That simpleton! Hah, don’t make me laugh Raditzu, he probably has no idea what being a real Saiyan is all about. He surely knows nothing about mating, or bonding. What makes you think that he is even a suitable match to Vegeta?”

“Trust me, I just know Napa. Those two are going to end up together. You may not notice it, Napa, but my brother is a sweetheart who knows just what to say and do to pacify anyone. Well…maybe not his wife, but then again…” Raditzu looked slightly troubled.

“What is it?” Napa asked.

“It just, when Kakkarot looked at his…at his wife, Chichi, I felt great fear welling up in him. My link with him isn’t so sophisticated yet, it has a long way to go to being fully formed, but…I could feel it so strong. He was really just terrified of this woman.”

“Terrified of a human woman?” Napa asked, sounding surprised and slightly sickened by the possibility that one of their own race could be afraid of something so weak and pathetic as a human woman.

“Yeah, I know it sounds stupid, but…it’s true.” Raditzu said, his brow furrowing further, “I am starting to think that there is something going on with Kakkarot and his wife, something that he doesn’t like one bit.

Napa suddenly stopped and Raditzu had to pull up short and fly back to his mate. “It’s down there.” He said, motioning to the crater in the ground. They slowly descend to the earth, their eyes sweeping the area for the guards that had been there to great Raditzu upon his arrival. They were no where to be seen and they landed on the edge of the crater.

There had been a fence erected around the sight, and the mates could only guess as to it’s use. Raditzu led the way down the edge of the steep embankment and towards his battered ship.

“I hope you’re wrong Raditzu…I don’t think I could stand to have a bond brother that is intimidated by a stupid woman, human or otherwise.” Napa was saying.

Raditzu hopped down the last few feet to the side of his craft. Slamming his fist against the open button, he watched the door slowly open. “Lets just hope this piece of junk can still fly.” He said, crawling into the confines within. Booting the system back up, he winced at the multiple lights that had begun to flash all at once. Looking around at the panels that surrounded him, he began to make the proper repairs. “Its badly damaged from my free fall to Earth…but, I think I can fix it.”

“ETA?” Napa asked, sitting on the ground before the pod’s door.

“Ten minutes tops to get it back into working condition….then I think I can set the computer systems to make the rest of the necessary repairs as it travels. The autopilot isn’t damaged at all…I’ll set it right now.” He ran his hand over the control panel that was just above the door’s opening. “I’ll set it to follow the path we were supposed to take. I’ll have it land on a few planets we had found that were inhabited and then…I’ll rig it to explode in the atmosphere of that one planet we found that was hostile to Furiza. The bastard will think that we died out there. He won’t come looking for us then.”

“Great thinking, but you might want to hurry. Those dumb humans with the guns are here again.”

Raditzu grunted, looking out of the pod and up the steep embankment. Sure enough there were hundreds of soldiers with those wicked looking black guns. He could hear them talking and he shrugged his shoulders. They were no threat to him. He was almost finished. Making the last repair, he wedged the tracking chip—painfully removed from his lower back—into the pod’s cushioned chair and climbed out, closing the door behind him.

“Ready?” Napa asked, standing up.

“Yeah, lets go take care of the other two.” He said, taking his mate’s hand. “Then we can go back to Kakkarot’s shack and…” He leaned up and kissed his mate softly, his mind telling Napa exactly what he wanted to do when they got back.

“Yeah…lets hurry.” He said, taking off.

Raditzu grinned down at the soldiers who were standing around like a bunch of dumb ducks. “Good bye.” He said, waiving to the men. Taking off after his mate, he looked over his shoulder just as the pod was blasting off.

There was general mayhem down below and Napa had started to laugh. “Well, there goes their research project, huh Raditzu?”

“Serves ‘em right for shooting at me when I first got here.” He reached out along their bond, sharing his mate’s amusement.
