I can’t believe that bastard took off on me like that! And after he had promised to spar me…and then there was the fair that he had said he was going to take me to. Not that I really wanted to go with the big baka…don’t misinterpret my desires. I just hated it when my subjects were dishonest.
Oh, but I was going to make him be honest, even if it killed him. I was going to make him spar me, and then I was going to make him take me to that dumb fair. Stopping in mid air, I looked around. He had disappeared somewhere over these mountains and I could feel his faint ki. I could track him down, but it would take some time.
I narrow my senses and began the search. He wasn’t going to hide from me.

`
I was so surprised with myself, my behavior. Was I about to tell Vegeta that he was…pretty? That he was handsome and so very unique. Yes, I think that was what was about to slip past my lips. I am so glad I had stopped myself, Vegeta would have pummeled me on the spot, despite the kittens and the flowers he might have hurt in his doing so. I almost felt like crying because I knew Vegeta would eventually would find out. I didn’t know anything about my race or my people and even though my brother had already taught me a lot, it wasn’t enough to know how Vegeta would react to my…strange behavior.
I have a strong feeling that Vegeta would leave Earth if he found out that I thought he was a great person. After all, he was trying so hard to be mean, spiteful and down right horrible to me. I could see past it all though, I could see how much he really hurt. I don’t know what made him hurt so much, but…I can almost feel for him. I hurt so much inside too.
Looking out towards the house I was nearing, I grimaced. Surely Chichi was back home by now. She would have had to take Gohan home to bathe him and change his clothing. She would not be in a good mood. Oh no, not at all. Rotten was more of the word I want to use to describe her mood when I arrive home.
I could already feel the bruises she was about to inflict upon my hide for not obeying her orders. Some old and dark anger began to rise in me and a tiny voice told me I should not have to put up with such behavior from my bitch. However, I pushed that voice back down. I hated that voice. That voice told me to do bad things, told me to hurt people. I only listened to it when I was fighting people who threaten my boy and my Earth.
Sighing, I set down outside my front door. Yep, this day had gone from great to bad in about five minutes. Opening the door I walk in, careful to take my shoes off and to close the door. Chichi would really beat me about the ears if I left the door open or if I muddied the floor she worked so hard to scrub every day.
“DADDY!”
A very naked four year old ran up to me, a huge grin on his chibi face. He looked so much like me when I was that age. Scooping him up into my arms, I chuckle. “What are you doing running around naked? Where is your mother?” I ask my hyper and happy child. As soon as I uttered the word ‘mother,’ his eyes grew large and frightful.
“Daddy, she’s really mad.” He said, sounding as if he was trying to warn me. I didn’t need to be warned about Chichi, I knew what I was in for. “I made a huge mess in the bathroom…then…I made a mess in the kitchen when I was trying to cook you lunch…” He looked near tears and I sigh, hugging him tight.
“You tried to make me lunch! How considerate of you! I’ll have to take you fishing for that!” I said, setting Gohan down. Patting him on his head, “Now, go up to your room and get dressed. I will go take care of your mother. Okay?”
“Okay…daddy…I’m sorry I got you in so much trouble.” He said, and I saw tears fall from his expressive eyes. It made that small voice in the back of my head stronger. I wanted to slap Chichi hard for being so mean to our only son. She must not realize what her abuse towards me is doing to Gohan. Watching my little Go chan climb the stairs, I turned and followed my ears towards the sound of muttered cursing.
“Chi?”
A disgruntled woman dressed from head to toe in tattered clothing walked out of the bathroom. She had smudges of dirt on her cheeks and fire in her eyes. “WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU! I thought I told you to come home and do your chores! It does not take an hour to fly home and get to chopping the wood!”
I wince at the tone in her voice, yes, I was in for one hell of an ear full. “I-uh…you see…” I couldn’t even get the right words out of my mouth. I could see Chichi’s anger mounting and I thought of taking cover. I couldn’t, thoughts of an unhappy four year old being locked up in his room with a pile of books came to mind. Oh no, not my son, not tonight. “I was out with Vegeta, I was showing him the garden behind Capsule corps.”
“Oh…I see…” She said and for a moment I thought I had diffused the bomb, until I looked into her eyes and saw the rage. “You blew me off for some stupid flowers! HOW DO YOU THINK GOHAN TAKES THAT! SOME OLD ROTTING FLOWERS ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN HIM AND HIS MOTHER! HOW DO YOU THINK HE TAKES IT!” She raised her hand and slams it across my cheek. It only stings, but I know she’ll find a weapon soon. Maybe it will be that new picture frame that is setting on the hallway’s table. Maybe it will even be the phone that was sitting there on that table.
“Chichi,” I said softly, I would not let her guilt trip me. That is what I always tell myself though, and she always made me feel so bad for…for being myself.
“DON’T CHICHI ME!” I see her going for the phone and before I could even raise my hands against her, she has clobbered me upside the head with the device. It wasn’t enough to knock me out, but it hurt badly, Chichi was almost as strong as Vegeta was…scary. “SEE WHAT YOU MADE ME DO! NOW GO OUTSIDE AND CUT US A CORD OF WOOD FOR WINTER!” She pointed towards the back door that was at the end of the hall and past the kitchen. I lower my head in shame and start walking, not aware of the slow trickle of blood that had started to flow from the wound at my temple.
Looking up, I saw a faint flicker of yellow disappear up the back stairs. Gohan had been watching us again. What I really wondered about…was how Gohan took seeing his mother beat on his father. Sighing, I open the back door and walk out bare foot. I wanted to go get my shoes, but that would mean going back through the house and past Chichi. I didn’t want another confrontation with the beast, besides, I liked the feel of the grass against my bare skin.
Going to the chopping block, I look at the logs that I had pilled their a few days before my brother had arrived on earth. We had had a fight back here on that day, me and Chichi. Obviously, she hadn’t liked my choice in wood. She had wanted more hard wood, that would burn longer and hotter than the pine and oak that I had gotten. What Chichi didn’t understand was that there was no real hard woods left around this mountain. It had all been cut, the only trees surviving were all too young to harvest for fire wood.
Sighing, I picked one of the logs up with ease. Setting it on the copping block, I fell into my fighting stance. I didn’t mind chopping wood, it gave me a chance to practice, something Chichi rarely gave me. Rearing back, I brought my hand down on top of the log, chopping the wood into two halves length wise. Watching them drop, I set the wood back up on the block, smashing it in half through the middle this time.
Setting the four perfectly chopped pieces of lumber aside I reached for another log.
“GOKU!”
I jump, dropping the log on my foot, yelping I dance away from the chopping block, holding my foot which really didn’t hurt that bad but didn’t feel peachy either.
“Stop that!” She said coldly. I turned and faced her, putting my weight back down on my throbbing foot. She held her favorite Goku bashing device in her hand. Her black Frying pan. Wincing, I took a step back. “What have I told you about using an ax to do that work!”
Uh-oh, I couldn’t remember. A lot of the time, I try not to listen to my wife’s screeching voice. I t always gave me a headache. “I-I, uh…don’t remember?” I said trying to sound innocent, but it was still the wrong answer.
“Goku…I swear.” She said, shaking her head sadly. She came walking up to me and I felt a chilling fear creep up my spine. She seemed calm, too calm…something was wrong. Suddenly her hand was around my tail and I yelp in pain. “Come with me, you’re going to get your ax and do this job right!”
Sobbing in pain, I tried to walk behind her, but I fell to my knees. Another big mistake. Her frying pan made contact with the back of my head. “GET UP!” She hollered and I scrambled to my feet. Thankfully she let go of my tail and I Stumbled into the house. In the utility shed behind the pantry was where the ax was stored and I scrambled for the door just to the left of the fridge.
Chichi seemed satisfied and left me to do my task. I found myself leaning against the pantry’s door frame, frustrated tears streaming down from the corners of my eyes. No one ever saw this side of me and I was glad they didn’t I’d be so ashamed If Yamcha or Kuririn or even…Picolo saw me like this.
“Daddy?”
I quickly dry my eyes, lest Gohan sees his father crying. Putting on a cheery grin, I watch my timid son sneak down the back stairs. “Are you okay? I heard you scream…” He said, hiding behind the stair railing. I sigh softly, hoping he didn’t hear that.
“Yeah, I’m fine. Hey…Gohan, did you hear about the fair that is in town this week?” I ask him and at once I see his cautious brown eyes light up.
“Yeah!” He said with a child like smile that I am sure I often gave my friends.
“Would you like to go?” I asked him and he nodded. “Then we’ll go.” I motion him to come to me and he scampered across the kitchen to stand before me.
“Daddy…mommy won’t like that.” He said, still looking hopeful. He knew that I didn’t care what Chichi said and maybe that was why she hurt me every time I was home. “She wants me to study my kanji.”
“Of course she does, but do you want to study your Kanji?” I ask him and he shook his head, I knew he didn’t want to. I never wanted to when I was his age and Grandpa had decided it was time to start expanding my horizons. “Then we will go…those silly books will be there in the morning, right?”
“Yeah.”
I smile, picking him up. Going back into the utility room, I grab the ax and start heading towards the back door. I was almost expecting Chichi to stop me, to yell at me for being irresponsible, for keeping Gohan away from his studies. However, she didn’t show her ugly face and I was grateful.
“Kakkarot.”
I froze, my eyes growing wide, there across my back lawn stood Vegeta. He had his arms crossed and he looked slightly annoyed but not very. “Is that your brat?”
I nod and I could feel Gohan burry his face in my chest. Gohan rarely liked strangers and he didn’t like people who sounded mean, no matter how well I knew them. Dropping my ax, I hold Gohan tightly to my chest, watching the moody man walk up to me.
“Why do you let her treat you like that in front of your cub?” He asked me and I don’t know what he is thinking. I didn’t know how to answer…he acted so much like Chichi sometimes that it was frightening. His eyes wonder from my face to the house that stood like a looming shadow of doom behind me. “Come with me. We aren’t staying here.”
“Daddy?” Gohan whispered, and I looked down at him, he looked worried.
“Don’t worry, he is one of my friends.” I told my little chibi and I felt him relax into my arms. Looking up, I watched Vegeta shoot up into the sky a good hundred yards above my head. Taking off, I listen to Gohan squeal in delight. He sure did love to fly, I ought to teach him how to do it soon.
As I reached Vegeta, he took off again and I raced to keep up. What ever Vegeta was thinking, what ever he was feeling, he sure seemed to be in a hurry. We passed over the mountains that my wife had grown up in. Over the fields I often practiced in, over my father-in-law’s castle and over another set of mountains. We were a hundred miles west of my house and a few miles outside of East City when Vegeta landed.
Touching down, I looked around the wooded area. I had never been here before, even though I had often seen this small park on my way to Bulma’s house. Setting Gohan down, I put my hand on his head to keep him put, I didn’t want him running off quiet yet.
“He looks a lot like you.” Vegeta said suddenly, his eyes going from Gohan’s to mine. “May I hold him?”
I look down at my son who had turned to wrap his chubby arms around my leg, “I don’t know…I don’t think he trusts you.” I didn’t dare to say anything else, I knew if I did, my own distrust would show through. Vegeta had shown to be nothing but violent and even though I knew that that wasn’t the real him, I didn’t want to trust Vegeta with my son.
Vegeta gave a cold smile, “I wouldn’t trust me either,” He said kneeling down to be on level with Gohan. “What’s your name cub?” He asked softly, sounding kinder than I’ve ever heard him speak before.
“Uh…Gohan.” He said shyly and I felt him cling to my leg harder than ever before.
“How old are you?”
“Four,” He replied, I could hear the small tremor in his voice and wondered if he was going to start to cry. Gohan had always been a very sensitive child.
“Four! Really? That’s a great age! Has your dad started to teach you how to spar?” Vegeta asked and I was taken aback by the bright, cheeriness that was in his voice. This could not be the same man that had belted me repeatedly for trying to help him.
“N-no…”
“Well, we’re going to spar, maybe you’ll learn something by watching.” Vegeta said, standing he came closer. I could feel Gohan loosen his grip around me and then move away from my leg all together. Vegeta picked my chibi up. “However…you’ve got to be careful. You could get hurt if you get to close. Okay? So I want you to go play, there is a stream nearby here. I bet there are some fish in there…have you ever fished before?”
Gohan nodded and I couldn’t help but smile. Gohan actually seemed to be warming up to Vegeta. “Yeah, its lots of fun, but mom doesn’t like it when I go with Daddy, I always get muddy and wet.” He said, his small tail wagging behind him with an enthusiasm that I’ve rarely seen in my mostly reserved boy.
“Well you can go fishing, maybe even catch us our dinner, and you can watch me and your dad spar. How does that sound?” Vegeta said, grazing a hand through Gohan’s wild locks before setting him down. “Now diss-ass-appear.”
Gohan scampered off, disappearing over a hill and towards the stream I knew was there. “Now as for you, baka yaro.” He said, his frown back and worse than ever before. He sure did look mad. I took a step back but he catches my wrist, dragging me with him over to the tree line. I don’t know what he was up to but I don’t think I was going to like this one bit. “How dare you let that weak little thing hurt you. She is not nearly as strong as I am, and she sure as hell can’t be stronger than you are.”
I gulp, expecting him to hit me at any moment, but all I feel is his gloved hand on the side of my head. The place where Chichi had hit me with that stupid telephone. “You’re bleeding,” He said softly, and I feel something warm and wet touch my temple. I realize that it is a spit dampened cloth and relax slowly. I don’t know why he was being so nice all of the sudden but I liked it.
“Lean down here, you’re a tall mother fucker.” Vegeta grumbled, forcing me to bend over. He was being surprising gentle and I found myself…purring. “Well…it doesn’t look that bad. Just a superficial cut. Hell, I’ve given you worse.”
Vegeta did something I never expected him to do, he brushed his silken lips against my bruised flesh soothing away the sting of his cloth. I feel heat rising in my cheeks and I straiten, gazing down at my friend with wide eyes. “What?” He growls and I can see the color rising in his own fine features. “I…I’ve just been in your position before…I don’t like to see people abused is all.”
“Vegeta…” I said, and it all suddenly made sense to me. Why he was so mean to me, why he had been crying earlier today, why he didn’t seem to trust any one, not even his friends. He’d been abused, he’d been beaten and yelled at and belittled.
“Look, you wanted to know why I was crying earlier, right? It is because…the man I work for, he hurts me…a lot. I have flash backs of all the things he has done to me.” Vegeta said, crossing his arms, an angry glower on his face as if he was daring me to feel sorry for him. I had to admit that I did feel sorry for him, but I knew that there was nothing I could do, besides. Who ever this man was, Vegeta was away from him now, he couldn’t be hurt any more. Not like me. I felt tears sting my eyes and I look away, ashamed of the weakness I was showing. “So…baka, you’re not going back to that house. This isn’t like the ship I come from, you can escape that bitch, and that is exactly what you’re going to do.”
I can only nod dumbly at my friend, the thought of leaving Chichi had never come to me before and the more I thought about it, the more it seemed that it was the right thing to do. Of course, it wasn’t good for Gohan to grow up without a mother, but it was worse for him to grow up under the care of a crazy woman, witnessing the abuse of his father over and over again. “Okay…I will leave her, but you must understand…I still love her…very much. She had my child…”
“Does she know about that little shack you live in out in the woods?” Vegeta interrupted me and I felt a pang of embarrassment, he thought of my childhood home as a shack?
“N-no…she’s never been there before.” I told Vegeta and he nods, reaching out he ever so gently touches my cheek, forcing me to look down at him, forcing me to meet his eyes.
“You’re going to promise me that you won’t ever go back to her…that you’re going to stay with me in that house.” Vegeta said and I couldn’t help myself.
Grabbing Vegeta, I pull him to me in a bone crushing hug, “Yes…of course…I promise.” I say softly, burrying my face in his hair, inhaling his wonderful scent. I couldn’t believe I was doing this, I hardly knew Vegeta but…it felt as if I’ve been missing something my whole life. That something was this man, his friendship, his care…his strength.
“GAH! GET OFF OF ME!” He exploded, shoving me away. I felt a great pain in my heart and I thought that I would surly be crying, until he threw a punch at me. I easily dodge it, I guess I saw it coming. That one punch was followed by a series of well devised attacks. He was one hell of a good fighter and I had difficulty deflecting them all. Over half of his attempts landed solid blows to my stomach, chest or head.
“You want to spar me Kakkarot? You can’t even defend against me!” He chuckled darkly and our spar began anew.

“That’s it, lets go home.” Napa said, it was just starting to get dark and the two mates had just finished their tasks for the day. Napa looked down at his new outfit and smiled. “I can’t believe you talked me into wearing these stupid Ningen clothes.”
“Hush you, I saw the city and couldn‘t resist…you know how much I like shopping for you.” Raditzu said, stuffing a rice cake into his mate’s mouth. Snickering he put an arm around Napa’s waist. “You’d have had to get new cloths eventually, I mean…you can’t wear that old sweaty training suit the rest of your life.”
“Sure I could’ve.” He said after devouring the sweet treat, he sounding outraged, but Raditzu knew better. “What is wrong with spandex, it’s really revealing. I miss seeing you in yours. Every muscle defined…”
“You hentai.” Raditzu accused. They had reached a dark ally way and they slipped off into it. Raditzu set their bags down and shoved his mate against a wall. “How dare you make such a comment about me! I am going to make you pay, you pervert!”
Napa laughed, hugging his mate to his broad chest. “Save the pay back for latter. Lets get home and cook the boys something to eat. Okay?”
“What about our plain?”
“Oh…about the bed? Yeah, sure, we’ve got to hurry to get home though. I don’t think Kakkarot will put up with Vegeta’s beatings much longer.” Napa said, reaching for the plastic bags that carried about a hundred dollars worth of food and supplies.
It had been easy to make the money. After all, they were experts at panhandling. Raditzu had simply set up a sparing challenge outside of a dojo where it appeared the teacher was a pompoms blowhard. The money had rolled in. “Yeah…but I think Kakkarot’s power levels are pushing slightly higher than before. They are having one hell of a spar, that’s for sure.”
“Hmmm.” Napa said, leading the way into the cool night air. They took off towards the east, over flying the fields where Kakkarot and Vegeta were sparing. ~You remember the plain right?~
~Yeah you numb nut.~ Raditzu said with some bit of annoyance. What did Napa think he was? ~I’ll tell Kakkarot that I’ve cooked them dinner over our growing bond…they’ll come home.~
~And that is when I come in, huh Raditzu.~ There was a good deal of amusement between them and they started to laugh. ~You sure do like to plot, I’d better watch my back or one of these days you’ll do something this devious to me.~
~And how do you think I’ll be able to do that? You know everything I think about.~ Raditzu reminded his mate.
~That is true,~ Napa though, ~but you’ll find away, you always find a way, that is one of the reason I love you.~ They were landing in the dark dooryard of the Earth Raised Saiyan\'s house. Napa looked around, just to be sure their senses hadn’t been lying to them. Nope, no one home. Turning to his mate, he watched Raditzu build the fire.
~Really? I thought you loved me for my ass and tail.~ Raditzu thought sarcastically. Blasting the wood into a blaze, he turned towards Napa. ~You want to help me with the water?~
~Sure~ He walked towards Raditzu, taking the large pot from his mate. They had bought a lot of cook wear, something for their house when they built it. Taking off, he headed for the lake that was nearby. It took no time at all to fill the pot and return to his lover. Before he knew it, he was setting the full pot in the center of the fire. ~So what is for dinner?~
~A Saiyan dish…since we want Kakkarot to start acting like a Saiyan, I thought it would be a good idea to start treating him like one. ~ Raditzu thought, already laying out the items needed on the grass before him.
~Well, when you need me, I’ll be laying down inside. You walked my feet off today.~ Napa thought, leaning over he stole a kiss from his lover before disappearing into the hut.
Raditzu shook his head, ~Napa, you’re going to have to get up soon. I doubt you’d like me to take advantage of you in your sleep.~
~Oh, you’re naughty.~

“I’m exhausted,” I exclaim, collapsing to the now battle torn earth. Vegeta stood, panting and wavering a few feet away from me. He looked tired himself. “I quit.”
“Agreed.” Vegeta said, plopping down to the ground. “Where is that brat of yours?” Vegeta said, and I stretch my senses out towards the stream. Gohan was still there and I wonder what he could be doing.
“Still by the river.” I say, looking off in that direction. I suddenly felt very thirsty, very sticky and very dirty. Getting to my feet again I start to peal my cloths off. I was going to go for a dip.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!” Vegeta exclaimed, sounding a little frightened. Pausing, I look at my friend and new sparing buddy.
“I’m going to take a bath. I stink.” I said and I could see Vegeta visibly relax. Heading for the stream. I drop my shirt on the rocks at the bank. Taking my pants off, I charge the river. I can feel Vegeta’s eyes on me and I wonder why he was watching me. Plunging into the cold water, I disappear below the surface. If there were any fish around, I had just scared them all off. Oops, resurfacing, I look towards the bank where my little guy was sitting. He had to be one of the most patient boy’s I’ve ever seen. He sat there, perfectly still, hand made fishing pole in hand. It may have been a crude pole but it was still well built for being made by a four year old. Swimming towards him, I cry out to him, and wave. He doesn’t seem to notice so I swim towards the bank.
“Huh…he’s fast asleep.” I said in surprise. Vegeta snorts. He has joined me in the river, his bare shoulders the only thing visible in the sickly rays of the waning moon.
“He’s probably tired himself out.” Vegeta said, coming to stand beside me, he looked at Gohan and began to laugh softly. “He is cute…in a dumb, Kakkarot sort of way.”
I glower to him and realize he was now laughing at me. Pushing him I watch that smirk fade from his face. Good. We were about to get into one hell of a fight when Gohan’s soft voice interrupted us. “Daddy?”
I look to him and he is blinking sleepily. I can see his cheeks flushing, he must not have realized he had fallen asleep. “Hey little guy, get a good nap in? “ I ask him, wading to the shore.
“I didn’t catch anything.” He sounded disappointed. “I’m sorry.”
“That’s okay. You want to swim with us?” Vegeta asked, and I found my self surprised again. Vegeta could have made a great father.
“N-no…that’s okay. Daddy, can we go home? I’m tired.” He said, rubbing one sleepy eye. I had to smile, he was so cute.
“Sure, but let us finish our bath first. We just got done with our spar.” He nodded and I turned towards Vegeta with a devilish smirk. Now where were we? Ah yes, I was just about to make him pay for that little remark. Vegeta seemed to have preoccupied himself with washing off the dirt and sweat from his face, neck and shoulders. He never saw me sneaking up behind him.
Putting a hand on his head, I pushed him underwater. He went so easily and I fled for my life, laughing like a maniac. I knew Gohan was watching us from the bank, I had a bond with him and knew he couldn’t believe his eyes.
Vegeta came back up, spluttering and looking prissier than I’ve ever seen him. He dove for me and I disappeared under the water with him. He was strong, and he easily held me under the water. I struggled, and fought but to no avail, he was winning. I’d have to give up if I wanted to breath, but I wasn’t about to give up so soon! No sir!
Reaching I managed to grab his tail. Running a thumb over it’s wet surface in warning, I felt his grip loosening as a shiver ran through him. I managed to shove him away and I swam for the surface. Laughing, I gulped in the fresh air my burning lungs had been craving.
Vegeta popped up right in front of me, some strange look on his face. “You…” He started, but I felt something weird enter my mind and knew at once it was one of my brother’s thoughts. Turning it over in my mind I realized what it was. He was telling me that he was making dinner and that it was nearly done. Vegeta seemed to have gotten the message too because he had turned to face the direction of my old house.
“Hey! Come on Gohan, we’re going to Grandpa’s house!” I swim back towards the banks I had jumped in from. Scrambling out onto the rocs, I flare my ki, drying myself instantly. Grabbing my clothing I looked at it with a grimace. They were dirty, torn and just plain…disgusting. However, they were the only clothing I had and I had to wear something when I landed at my house. Raditzu and Napa didn’t need to see me completely naked.
Pulling on my clothing, I turn to watch Vegeta come out of the stream He was dripping wet, his hair falling flat against his back. I froze. There was something about his slight, muscular build and the way the moonlight highlighted his sharp features. I found myself gazing at him, unable to turn my eyes away. What was this new sensation I was feeling? I tried to puzzle it out but…
“KAKKROT!”
My thoughts were interrupted by Vegeta’s outburst. “What the hell are you looking at!” I blush and turn my eyes away. Focusing my attention on my son, I saw that he had pulled in his line, and had set the pole on the bank. Going to him, I picked him up, he had already started to fall back asleep. “Hey there little guy?” His eyes blinked open and I smile down at him. “You think you can stay awake long enough to get back home? We’re about to have dinner, then we’ll go to the fair.
He nodded sleepily and I ruffled his hair. I knew that that was a lie, but…he was just so damned cute.
“Well…are you coming?” Vegeta growled behind me. I turn and regarded him, a smile coming over my face. “Yeah, sure lets go.”
“Here, let me carry him.” Vegeta said, holding out his arms. I look at him, he keeps surprising me, I don’t know why. I should know that all his roughness was just a front, he probably was one of the sweetest men in the universe. Letting Vegeta take my son into his arms, I watched the prince slowly shift the four year old’s weight until Gohan was comfortably laying against his chest. “You’re too tired to carry the cub. You fly on ahead of us. I’ll try to keep up.”
I couldn’t help but grin, they looked so cute together. Taking off, I slowed my normal speed down so that Vegeta could keep up. Together we headed towards the rising moon. He flew on my left and I kept my eye on him. A hundred miles really was not far at all when you flew, but Vegeta looked so tired from our spar, and while I was just as tired, if not more so. I was worried about him and Gohan’s safety…if Vegeta was to faint from the energy it took to fly…
Ten minutes latter we were landing before a blazing campfire.
“Well, who’s the chibi?” Raditzu asked, standing up to great his brother and prince.
“His name is Gohan. The rascal you saw earlier. You remember, the muddy one being chased by my wife.” I said, putting my hand on Vegeta’s shoulder.
“GAHHHHHH!!!!!!!”
There was a great crashing sound from inside my old house and I nearly jump out of my skin. “What was that? I exclaim. What ever it was, it was loud enough to wake my boy, he had begun to cry. Taking Gohan from Vegta, I rush into the house with Raditzu right behind me.
“This stupid bed!” Napa was saying, sitting up from the crushed cot. It obviously had given away under his immense bulk. “I was trying to sleep and the damned thing just…collapsed!” Napa got to his feet, kicking the remnants of the poor old wooden frame cot.
“This isn’t good…” I said, rocking Gohan. His cries were starting to die down, which was good, but now we only had two beds. That was bad. Glancing to Vegeta, I saw it in his face that he was just coming up with the same conclusion that I was.
Raditzu sighed, shaking his shaggy head, “It’s okay Kakkarot, Napa and I could sleep on the floor. We needed more room any ways.”
“But you can’t just sleep on the floor,” I said, stroking Gohan’s hair softly, trying to sooth him back to sleep. “It gets really cold up in the mountains. Believe me…I’ve tried it before. Man…I knew we should have gone shopping today. We needed more beds.”
“There is only one solution to this problem.” Vegeta said, eyes narrowing at Napa. “You and Raditzu can have my bed…I’ll sleep with…Kakkarot.” He almost spat the words but I heard no hatred behind them. I felt my cheeks heat up.
“What about Gohan.” I ask, surely there was no room even in my big bed for the little guy. Especially with the way I toss and turn.
“Well…I can take care of him. Vegeta used to sleep in our bed when he had nightmares.” Raditzu said coming to put an arm around my broad shoulders. Looking down at his nephew, he smiled softly. “He looks a lot like you.”
I feel relaxed and I began to purr. I sure do love Raditzu, even his mate, and hell. I was starting to really love Vegeta. If I had to leave Chichi for ever, there was no one better to spend the rest of my life with. Maybe tomorrow we could all have one big sparing match. Maybe Raditzu could even help me start to train Gohan.
“Here, let me put him to bed. You help clean this up, Napa.” Raditzu said and I let him. Gee, it seemed like everyone wanted to hold my boy, was he that cute. Okay, maybe he was. Ruffling Gohan’s hair, I go to help Napa start to clean up the mess that used to be the cot while Raditzu and Vegeta left the small house.

`
I glance over my shoulder to Kakkarot one last time before I leave the warmth of the house. Of course, the baka was right. It was cold. Really cold, shivering I found myself regretting the fact that I didn’t have more clothes, these were soaked with sweat. Sitting before the fire, I find myself watching Raditzu walk out of the hut and start to make the final preparations to what ever he was cooking in the large pot over the fire.
Its stupid, I know, but I had this suspicion that Raditzu had planed this all, the food, the bed collapsing almost a minute after we had arrived. Yeah, stupid, huh? Growling under my breath, I let my mind wonder back to Kakkarot. We had spared all day and despite the fact that he was weaker than I am, he sure was a challenge. Where he had a lower power level, he had more skill than I, which made us about even. It had felt great sparing against a man who could almost best me. It had been so long since I had a sparing partner that could keep up with me in everything, including endurance.
“Hey, space case. What’cha thinking about?” Raditzu asked me in Saiyango. I had to smirk, I hadn’t heard this dialect from him in a while. It was the tongue of the lower classes, mostly the third class soldiers.
“None of your business…but if you must know. I am thinking about this stupid fair thing. Kakkarot says he wants to go to after dinner has been consumed.” I reply, getting a funny look from my old care taker and friend.
“Sound serious.” He said with a slight hint of humor in his voice. Now I knew that he had planed this whole thing.
“Hn…” I snort, what ever he was up to, it wasn’t going to work. I wasn’t that stupid, and he should have realized that from the start.
“Do you like him?”
The question took me by surprise. “Hell no!” I exclaim in common and I realized that Kakkarot had joined us only too late.
“What? What did I miss,” He asked, looking from Raditzu to me. His bright eyes were troubled and I sigh, knowing that Raditzu might spill everything we were talking about. Of course, I hadn’t meant what I said earlier. I do like Kakkarot, he was a great sparing partner and even more, he has been abused. No where near as badly as I had been but still…he could understand me.
“Oh, I was just asking if Vegeta would prefer if Napa slept with him instead of him sleeping with you.” He said and I felt my cheeks redden, I knew he was watching me from the corner of his eye. I could feel his attention on me.
“That big ape would crush me,” I lied, going along with Raditzu’s story. Kakkarot began to laugh and I felt a small weight left from off of my shoulders. The baka bought the story.
“What big ape?” Napa’s growl nearly made me jump off the log I was sitting on. Turning upon my seat, I see the large bald ape himself.
“No one Napa,” I felt sheepish, but I rained in that emotion. There was no way I was going to show weakness towards one of my oldest sparing partners.
“Sit down, dinner is about to be done.” Raditzu was saying, drawing bowls out of a bag that was sitting by the fire. I watched the long haired man pull the lid off the pot and my nose picked up on the scent, recognizing it at once.
“Compre’sagat” I say, my stomach rumbling already. I hadn’t really been hungry before but I was positively ravished now.
“What is…Come pee Sag ate?” Kakkarot asked and I felt that old sensation of annoyance rising up in me. He had been doing good all after noon too, he hadn’t really irritated me at all.
“That is Com pree Sag at, there you-who.” Napa said, happily taking his bowl. “It is a Saiyan dish that is traditionally served before the Mating Festival of Yawa’os, held every spring and fall.”
“Mating Festival.” Kakkarot said, sounding slightly uneasy. Excepting a bowl of my own, I glance to Kakkarot who was sniffing the thick brown stew.
“Yeah,” Raditzu chimed in. “Ever spring and fall, Saiyans of mating age are encouraged to go to the festival. Only unbounded Saiyans are aloud to go…the idea is that if you put a bunch of single Saiyans together and feed them good food and good drink that they will find the one that is suited to them the best. Compre’sagat, a traditional food during this festival, is said to make you stronger, more fertile and more importantly, more desirable to your potential mate. Over the ages, the Festival has evolved into something of an orgy slash cooking competition. In the early morning contestants begin to prepare the Compre’sagat for that night. The judges choose the winners and then the top ten finalists and the grand prize winner serve their soups to the party goers. When dinner is over, the traditional festival budoukai begins. During this budoukai the youngsters are encouraged to flirt and couple, and show off their battle skills. Of course, the fights aren’t serious. Most rounds involve a whole lot of…wrestling.”
Napa chuckled, “My Raditzu here was the grand prize winner one year…that was the day we became bond mates. After all, how can I turn down a hot ticket like this guy. Especially if he can cook.” He said, putting his arm around his blushing mate.
“But…anyways, the Matting festival is coming…I just felt…reminiscent.” Raditzu said, his eyes darting to me and Bakarot. “Aren‘t you going to try it?”
I glance to Kakakrot, watching him with a slight smile on my face. I could tell that he had his doubts about his brother’s cooking and this stew of his. However, he brought the bowl to his lips and took a sip. Doing the same, I sigh. I had never had Compre’sagat before but Raditzu had always told me that he was going to make it for me when we got back to the home world. Close enough.
The stew itself was a spicy sort of curry, consisting of chicken and choice vegetables. As I drank the wonderfully spiced soup, I had to purr. It was so easy to close my eyes and just pretend that I was home. I could hear someone else purring and I look over to Kakkarot who was chugging his bowl.
“I’ll take that as a compliment.” Raditzu said with a chuckle, sipping from his own bowl.
Kakkarot was already asking for a second helping and I almost wanted to slap him silly. That baka was not going to eat all this stew by himself. Quickly, I finish my own bowl, helping myself to seconds.
We ate in silence for the most part, I could tell that Napa and Raditzu were having a privet conversation so I kept my self occupied by watching Kakkarot. I found myself wondering what that idiot could be thinking. He kept looking over at me, well what ever it was, it was probably something stupid. Gulping down my third bowl of stew, I actually snarl at the idiot who was ladling out a fourth helping. The pig! When he got up, I followed him.
This had to be the last straw, not only was he trying to hog all the stew, but now he didn’t want to eat with us, as if he were too good to be around us. Kakkarot had disappeared into the hut and I followed on his heals. Standing in the door way, I realized how stupid I was being. Of course, Kakkarot was only being a good father. He sat on the cot that had once been mine. He gently awoke his son, “Hey, you’ve got to eat Dinner before you can go to sleep little guy.” He said, handing his son the bowl. The sleepy boy looked at it then up at his father.
“Thanks,” He said with a yawn. He began to slurp at the food and I found Kakkarot looking at me again.
“Vegeta…” He said softly, was that caring I heard in his voice? “You still want to go to the fair?”
I nod and he smiles. “Hey, Gohan, if you want more, uncle Raditzu would be all to happy to get you more. He’s just outside by the fire.” Kakkarot said, standing.
The small boy smiled and looked up at his father with bright eyes. “Uncle? I have an uncle?” He asked.
“Of course you do, he’s the guy with long hair. You should go out and thank him for the food, he is the one who made it.” Goku said and Gohan was at once setting his bowl down to scramble off the edge of the cot. He grabbed his bowl again once he had reached the floor and disappeared out of the door.
“If we are going to go, we ought to get going now. No time like the present.” He walked up to me and he stood there, looking down at me, his chocolate eyes examining my face.
“What? What are you looking at?” I growl at him and he shook his head and smiled. Heading out the door, he went to his brother. I couldn’t hear what he was saying but he took the sky shortly after, leaving me to follow him.
Launching myself into the air, I sped to reach his side. He had one of the dopiest grins I had ever seen plastered all over his face. He looked over at me and I felt my heart skip a beat, he was positively beaming. It couldn’t be because I have decided to come with him, could it?
The way we were flying, we were heading for that blue haired woman’s town. I was hoping that were ever this fair was, that it wasn’t too near her house. As grateful as I am to her for taking that thing out of me, I’d rather not see her again any time soon.
“THERE!” He exclaimed, grabbing my shoulder and pointing towards the bright lights on the horizon. If it were possible, he speed up, forcing me exert even more energy. I was growing tired by the time he slowed up and started towards the earth once more. “I can’t believe I get to go! I’ve not been to a fair in…in…well its been a while! He exclaimed, grabbing my hand he dragged me from the back of the tent we had landed behind.
At once the scent of animals, people, and food hit me like a tidal wave. Shaking him loose, I glower at him, “Didn’t I tell you once before not to touch me, Bakarot!” He didn’t seem to be paying me any mind at all, he had gone strait to a small cart that was striped bright red and white. He was talking to the person who stood inside. Standing behind him, I cross my arms over my chest. That idiot!
When he had turned back around he was holding a stick with something fluffy on the end. He practically skipped back to me, “I bet you’ve never had cotton candy before!” He exclaimed, tearing a chunk of the fluffy stuff off of the stick. He held it to my lips and I glower at him. He was trying to feed me! What did he think I was!
“Come on Vegeta, it is really tasty.” He declares and I reluctantly take the fluffy stuff from him, popping it into my mouth. It instantly melted and turned to a sugary fluid that I wouldn’t soon forget. It was wonderful.
He was licking his fingers and I stole another wonderful mouthful. He smirked knowingly at me and I glower back. “Have you ever been on a carnival ride?” He asked me and I shook my head, what the hell was a carnival. He only snickered and put his arm around my shoulders, leading me towards what looked to be a line of some sort.
Shrugging my shoulders, I growl, “Why the hell do you keep touching me! I told you to stop it!” I nearly yell gathering many stares from the people in front of us.
“Come on ‘Geta…” He whined and I felt my anger melting away for what ever reason. Sighing, I put a hand to the side of my face. Why did I agree to come again? “Why are you so…grouch? You seemed happy when we were sparing…and when we bathed afterwards.”
“That was because I was pummeling you into the ground!” I snarl even though it wasn’t true.
“Hush,” Kakkarot said simply, pressing another hunk of the fluffy candy to my lips. Feeling my cheeks heat up I let him feed me the stuff. Maybe I would get the chance to bite his damned finger off. “Come on!” And suddenly he was dragging me off again. Obviously it was because the line was moving, to where, I didn’t know but it was moving fast and Kakkarot seemed excited.
Before I knew it, I was being dragged onto a large platform. “You’re going to love this!” He said and I highly doubted his words, I rarely loved anything. He was pushing me into a cart of some kind and he climbed in after me.
“What manner of…of…contraption is this!” I demanded of him as a Ningen pushed a large padded device over my shoulders.
“You’ll see!” He said, grabbing my hand, “Now hold on tight!”
“WILL YOU…..!” My words were cut off when the seat we were occupying took off faster than even Kakkarot could fly. I was pressed back into the cart’s uncomfortable seat and I found myself trying to cling to Kakkarot for dear life.
Was that bastard laughing? I could swear I heard someone laughing. I felt a scream welling up in my chest and I fought it back bitterly, I would not look like a coward! Suddenly my whole world flipped upside down and I couldn’t help myself, I screamed like a little bitch. Oh, Kakkarot was going to pay! As everything righted again, I dared to look up from the safety of Kakkarot’s shoulder, only to find the world whipping past me in a blur. We went around a sharp corner and around another loop, this one more like a corkscrew. I was beginning to get dizzy.
As suddenly as it had started, it was all over and we were sitting right back where we had started.
He was laughing! The same human that had strapped me into this god forsaken device lifted the harness that held me in and I was free to move. Shoving Kakkarot roughly, I scurry out of the seat, rushing down the stairs that appeared to be an exit.
He came rushing after me, and as I reached the bottom of the stairs I could see the worry in his eyes. Too late for that, Baka yaro! That little horror ride had made me sick to my stomach and dizzy. Leaning over a barrel that was labeled ‘trash‘, I vomited noisily.
“Gah…” He said, taking a step back before rushing to my side. His hand was on my back and it almost made me feel better, almost. “Are you okay Vegeta? I’m sorry…I didn’t know you got motion sick.”
I growl, spitting out the last bit of my dinner. I felt shaky now and I let Kakarot lead me to a bench. “Are you going to be okay now?” He asked me, that worry and concern heavy in his eyes. I wanted to belt him one. “Here, hold this, I’ll go buy you a drink.” He said to me and he was running off again. I look a the candy he had handed me and thought of throwing it into the mud just to spite him. However, he was already coming back with two drinks in his hands. How he moved so fast was beyond me, but he was already pressing the cold cup into my hand.
Looking down at the tube that stuck out of it’s top, I glanced to Kakkarot who seemed to be sucking on his. I followed suit and found a bitter sweet tasting fluid filling my mouth. Swallowing, I started to feel better, at least the taste of stomach acid was starting to fade from my mouth. “You’re going to pay for this in the morning, Kakkarot.” I told him petulantly, scrubbing my lips with the back of my hand.
“I deserve to have the shit beat out of me…I’m so sorry…I just thought you’d like it…I love those sorts of rides.” He said, sounding sad and upset with himself. Glancing to him, I almost shout at him, he was crying. “I guess…Chichi’s right, I am a screw up…I can’t ever do anything right.”
Oh that bitch. She had said that, huh? “No…no you’re not. You can spar damned amazing, Kakkarot.” I tell him and he is looking at me, tears still trickling down his handsome face. “I don’t care what any one says, you may be an idiot, but you’re kind hearted and…well…” I didn’t know what to say, he was staring at me, almost as if he was expecting something more. Damned, I was never good in situations like this!
“Maybe…I could show you another ride…something you’d like better than that roller coaster.” He said, and I sighed.
“Sure…” I let him pull me to my feet, and I found myself holding his warm hand. Looking up into his eyes, I am glad to see that the child like glee was back. I didn’t like to see him cry.
“I know just the thing! Gohan likes to go on it all the time!” He says. I am expecting him to take off, dragging me along behind him but he doesn’t. He starts to walk through the crowd, holding my hand even though it was sort of awkward what with my drink and the candy held in one hand. He stops and pops the lid off of his cup. He quickly chugs what ever is inside and throws the cup away. “Here, let me hold that for you.”
I look at the candy then get a wide grin on my face, “So that you can eat it all, nuh uh Bakarot!” I take one hell of a large bite out of it and he grins, an evil grin I’ve never seen on his face before.
“Veeeeegetahhhhh,” He breaths my name, and I feel a thrill run up my spine. It wasn’t because I was afraid, the way he had said my name was…it was…
I must have been too deep in my own thoughts because he had captured me without even a decent struggle on my part. One hand was on the back of my head, and his arm was around me, his other hand resting on my hip. I realize the position I was in and I found myself blushing. This felt…good. Almost right some how. Looking up, my eyes grow wide, what was this baka thinking of doing! Before I could lift a hand to hit the overgrown ass, his sharp teeth were grazing over my nose. GAH!
“You had…candy on the end of your…nose.” He said, almost as if he realized what he had just done. He let go of me and I saw his cheeks had gone deep crimson. Looking down at the candy I still held in my hand I thrust it at him, if he was going to lick me, nip me and possibly kiss me for this sweet stuff…then I didn’t want anything to do with it. The overgrown baka took it, “Uh…thank you ‘Geta.” Drawing the tube that stuck out of my drink between my teeth, I finished it off.
“Here, let me throw that away for you.” He took the empty cup from me and tossed it into a nearby can.
I grunt, turning to face away from him when it appeared he was about to say something else to try and redeem himself. I had thought he was going to kiss me…and some part of me had leapt at the possibility. I had actually wanted that idiot to…to.
“Come on,” He said and I felt his hand grasping mine yet again. “The line’s moving.” I let Kakkarot hold my hand, there was no point in creating a seen just because the baka insisted on holding my hand like I was his little brat.
Ahead of us was a brightly lit gizmo. I could see from here that there were animals upon some sort of platform and that Ningen kids were climbing upon. I look up at Kakkarot who was grinning wider than ever before. “What sort of…ride is this.” I ask him, almost expecting that we had to fight those animals, or that those animals would take off faster than the speed of light like that damned cart had.
“Watch, you’ll see.” He said, squeezing my hand. I look down at our clasped hands and sigh softly.
“What ever, Bakarot.” I mutter, and my eyes were back on the ride that had started to move. It didn’t go anywhere near as fast as the last ride we had gone on. This thing seemed to be meant for little kids because the animals were slowly moving up and down, no, not at all like the last ride. “That looks lame.”
Kakkarot chuckles, “You’ll see…its really…well, nice. I like going on this one too.” The baka said. The ride had started to slow, and then it stopped and the noisy, giggling kids began to pile off. The gates before us were thrown open and the line began to move again. Kakkarot escorted me up to the ride then forced me to sit upon a metallic beast. It looked like a stallion of some kind, but it had stripes and wild looking eyes. He took the beast next to me, a large gray creature with a long spout of some kind coming out of it’s face.
There was a pole rising out of the creature’s shoulders and I grabbed it, almost expecting this thing to take off like the last one, despite the fact that I had seen it going slow only moments before. The beast below me gave a jerk and started to rise, then it began to fall and I looked around franticly, almost expecting something…something bad to happen. However, the beast just kept going up and down, up and down, it was almost soothing.
“See, I knew you’d like it.” I hear Kakkarot shout over the weird, tinkling music that was coming from stereos at the center of the turning platform. I glance at him, and he had his hand thrown out, his other hand holding the pole. “RIDE ‘EM COWBOY!”
The idiot! The ride began to slow and then it stopped, and I hopped off of the metallic animal intent on getting Kakkarot someplace quiet and secluded so I could beat the living day lights out of him for being so stupid. “That was fun wasn’t it! Are you feeling better now? ‘Cause there is so many things I still want to show you!”
He had my hand in his again and we were walking through the exit on the other side. “Oh, oh, Vegeta, are you hungry?!” He nearly squealed. He was pointing at another red and white stripped box that had a sign hanging on it’s side.
I tried to read the sign but it made no sense what so ever. “What the hell is ‘Kettle corn?’” I asked him but he was already pulling me towards the small booth.
“I’ll have one large bag.” He said and the woman who had been standing behind the counter, turned, dumping something into a large bowl that was sitting over a fire. She tossed a cup full of seeds into the bowl as well and my ears were assaulted by the sounds of small explosions and popping grease. “’Geta, you’ll just love this! Its better than cotton candy!” He said and I watch him finish off the fluff on the stick, much to my irritation. I had wanted more of that.
The woman was stirring the pot with a large wooden spoon and I watched her tip the large pot over, scraping large white stones into a bin. She took the bin towards the front of the booth and picked up a mettle scooper with which she started to fill a bag with. Kakkarot lay down a green piece of paper and took the bag from the lady.
These primitive people still used money, it appeared. He turned towards me and held the bag of food out to me. I looked at it then at him. “Go on, its really good!” He said and I obliged him by grabbing a handful of the hot white rocks. Popping a few into my mouth, I was at once shocked and amazed at the salty sweetness. The favorers were in such perfect balance with each other that it was almost a delicacy. Quickly finishing off the handful, I grabbed more.
“Raditzu needs to learn how to make this.” I said, licking my salty sweet fingers after devouring my second handful. The baka had thrown away the stick that had belonged to the fluffy candy and had started to devour a handful of the ‘popcorn’ himself.
“Come on Vegeta, I know something you’ll like even better than the Merry-go-round,” He said, shoveling more of the popcorn into his mouth. I guess that ride we had just gotten off of was what he was referring to and I groan. I didn’t like these rides he kept insisting were so much fun. “It’s right up there on the hill.” He said pointing and I find my eyes glued to the structure we were heading for. It was a large wheel of some kind.
I could see from here that there were people sitting in small cars all along the outer edge of the wheel. They were moving up and up only to come back down on the other side. It looked slow enough. “From up there, you can see the whole park!” He was telling me and I grabbed more of the popcorn from the bag. It was almost gone, I was sad to see, I’d insist on the baka buying more after he took me on this stupid ride.
There was no line, like there was before on the other rides, and as soon as the large wheel had finished dropping its passengers back onto the solid earth, I was forced to take a seat in a booth beside the grinning fool.
“’Geta, have you ever had ice cream. He asked me and I shook my head.
“What the hell is ice cream,” I ask him, hating the fact that there was so much I didn’t know about this backwater planet. The cart we were sitting in began to rise, only to stop after a few feet. I looked over the edge and had to smile, at least with this we were not strapped in. If this went faster than I liked, I would simply leave the cart and the baka.
“You’ll see, I’ll buy you a cone once we get off. I think you’ll like it.” He said shifting in the seat next to me. He sighed and looked silently into the night sky above us. Glancing to him, I took in his handsome profile in the light of the moon. He was stunningly beautiful when he wasn’t being a complete retard.
“HEY! Look at that!” He exclaimed, pointing to the heavens. Turning my face to the night sky, I see a bright explosion of color up there.
“What the…” I said, watching another burst of bright red light explode into existence.
“Fireworks,” He said with a laugh, “I’m so glad we didn’t miss them! They have a display every night! You’ve got to watch it, it is so…amazing!” He said and I had to agree with him. I had never seen something so…fascinating in my life. How those sparks of different colors appeared in the air up there was a mystery to me, but I felt a small bit of sadness when they faded to nothing in the dark sky.
“They are almost as beautiful…as you.” He said and I level a surprised glare at him. We had reached the top of the wheel, but the view was going unnoticed by me.
“What?” I asked, knowing I sounded angry.
“I-I’m sorry Vegeta…I didn’t mean to…”
“DIDN’T MEAN TO!” I growl, grabbing him by the front of his stupid orange get up. I was taken aback when I felt his soft lips against mine. Out of all the events that have occurred since I landed on this dumb little planet, this had to be one of the…
He pulled away from me, eyes wide, fright written over his face stronger than I’ve ever seen any of his other emotions. “I…I’m sorry, I didn’t know what’s come over me. I think…I think I’m feeling sick. We should go home.” He declared, he was about the leap from the cart, but I grabbed him up again, forcing him to sit next to me.
Gazing into his startled brown eyes, I could see that he was expecting me to hit him again. I must have surprised him because he gasped when I pressed my lips back to his. Taking advantage of his shock, I slipped my tongue past his soft lips. He kissed me back.
As we broke away, I saw his cheeks flush. “Uh…its getting really late, lets go back, hm? Maybe we can As we broke away, I saw his cheeks flush. “Uh…its getting really late, lets go back, hm? Maybe we can come back tomorrow!” He exclaimed nervously, rubbing the back of his head. He hadn’t liked it. I couldn’t see any sign of my suspicions in his eyes or in his face, but I knew that that was why he was suddenly so eager to go home. HIS kiss was different from MY kiss, he was just being friendly, trying to appease his angry prince and now...he was probably trying to ditch me, he was going to leave me with Napa and Raditzu and disappear back to that bitch‘s house to get yelled at again.
I felt so…sad.
“Sure, why not. I’m getting tired of seeing your ugly face any ways.” I said, trying to force anger into my voice but I couldn’t, I couldn’t make myself lie. I had liked that kiss. “Maybe tomorrow we can bring Gohan.” I turn my attention out onto the bright flowers that were blooming in the night sky.
He had taken my hand in his again and I felt him pulling me to follow him. He lifted off into the sky and I couldn\'t stay put any longer. I could hear the startled screams of those on the ground but I ignored them. The only thing I could think of doing at that moment in time was forgetting, forgetting that he had ever even called me beautiful. It would make the pain go away, and there was so much pain in my heart.
`
`

`
`
