And as Rei’s voice started to slowly fade away, in the sound waves tender but mysterious, the last vibrations of the guitar strings melded away. Leaving their chills in the large performance hall, ears not long left at rest as a fallowing blow of human excitement matched up the former level of sound. Flawless. The first performance was flawless. As to the band’s own satisfaction, they modestly took the partly rewarding pleasurable cheers and yells from their public. Of course, they were all looking calm and cool on appearance alone, but all had to concentrate well to master a good shield for a huge grin to hide. Of course they were proud of themselves. Who wouldn’t be, after working so hard as they have for months. But feeling good about the performance themselves, wasn’t going to bring them to the top. The talent scouts did. And it was just to be an unknown time of waiting, until they would know if they fell into the liking of a company that would surely sponsor them. But for now, their job was done and they all took a final bow towards the still aggravating audience. Once they ought to have gained enough prizing, they put down their instruments and calmly, left stage. Rei found it hard to, he could’ve just stand there and sang fifty more songs and still not be tired of that adrenalin rushing through his veins each time the crowd would cheer them on. It was addictive, like a drug would keep you coming back for more.
“Good job! I am very proud of you all. You did even better than during rehearsal. Also you Rei, this was a very good starting off, I hope to see your future performances just like it.” Ronin said, patting Rei’s shoulder with only his words, just to keep it a little formal. The raven haired teen didn’t mind, he was very satisfied with how everything went according to how he took it all and just nodded in agreement.
“Now, its best if you all get changed and head back to your dorms to get some rest.” He said sternly, obviously he was expecting some counter talk. Indeed.
“What?! We can’t stay? Why not?!” Gerland said slightly mad, Brooklyn calming him down by putting a hand on his shoulder.
“Yeah, how come the sudden change of plans?” Tala questioned suspiciously. Kai narrowed his eyes in thought, he had an idea how come. But being him, he wasn’t sharing his thoughts. His eyes met the ones of his teacher, and then he knew he was right. It had to do something with Balkov.
“Just do as I say. I will tell you everything tomorrow. Now go before I change my mind and stay silent about it for the rest of the month.” The band softly grunted but agreed mockingly. They went for the changing rooms but Rei waited for a moment.
“What wrong Ronin?” He question softly. His teacher smiled at him with a innocent look, something was behind it though.
“Nothing to worry about little kitten, now go quickly and sleep in tomorrow.” Rei nodded with a slight smile and headed for the changing rooms too. The brunette watched him leave with a smile as he didn’t look away.
“Make sure he gets to his dorm room, unharmed. There will be alterations first thing tomorrow, you’ll hear from me.” The teacher spoke, in a sudden colder and cooler voice than he normally did. Weird, when he spoke in such a friendly tone to Rei just now. The male behind him nodded, and headed for the changing room…
Rei chose he wanted to re-dress by himself this time. Being almost sure he would not last a second experience with the dual hair like that, not to mention the looks he would receive if he was to change in the same room as him. One time a day was enough for the young neko-jin.
He was slightly struggling with the pants again, but seeing as he learned how to handle them better now, it was less hard. Bit by bit the pants lowered down his knees, until he kicked them off next to the belts he had already disposed. He was forced to wear tight briefs because of it, and he wasn’t used to that. But he wasn’t used to anything that was considered ‘normal’ around here at all. So that was just part of the learning process. He grabbed his own black cargo pants from the chair he had hung his clothes over, and put it back around his legs. Lifting up his thin see-through fishnet shirt, he dropped it onto the floor on the leather pants. Also he slide his fingerless cloves off of his hands and moved his fingers slightly in freedom. He put on his own white shirt and black jacket, as he tapped on his low black shoes. Now he walked over to the pile of clothes and picked them off the floor, folding them a bit before putting them back on the table were he found them in the first place. Some one would pick them up later and give it a firm wash up. He walked over to the sink and made the water running, he held his hands under it and splashed some fresh cold water in his face. Softly starting to wash off some of the make-up he had on and letting his skin breath again.
“I seriously hate that foundation..” He muttered slightly as he finally got all of it off. After he dried his face with a white towel he put it next to his clothes. He still had his hair in that messy braid, but he kind of liked it, so he would get it out in his dorm after a nice shower. Rei blinked slightly as he gazed inside the mirror in frond of him, then his lifted an arm and smelled slightly. He pulled a face as he looked away.
“A shower indeed!” It wasn’t often that he found himself smelling of sweat, it must have been the over amount of stress he got. Stress, yeah. He grabbed his converse bag and pulled out a bottle of mineral water. He slide it over one shoulder and made his way for the door. Opening it and taking a drink from his water at the same time, he found that the entire band was already standing there in the backstage hallway. He was kind of stunned, they were all, well three of four, talking to one another. Were they waiting for him? No, it couldn’t be. He walked on a bit, was that a glance he got from some of them? And as he came close to the group, and wanted to pass them, they suddenly started to walk along with him. They didn’t talk to him, they were still continuing their conversation. But Rei didn’t really feel threatened either. They just, walked with him. Rei was kind of confused. No, not kind of. He was, really confused. As they reached the door, Tala opened it and let everyone exit through the emergency exit. That way, they could get out of the building unnoticed. It was dark outside, midnight. The stars shining in a yet black curtain like shimmering foundations. A moon standing at its peek just above the trees, a three quarter and it was so big. It was beautiful. A soft wind caressed Rei’s cheek, it was slightly cold. Letting a few strands of raven black hair trail in his face, he placed them elegantly back behind his ear. The group walked around him, like a circle, like a shield. In some way, he felt protected.
He looked to slightly frond, Tala. He had proved to have accepted him, yet sometimes doubtful. If you kept normal towards him, he would be the same thing towards you. Making him loyal in his eyes. Maybe one day, he would be able to call him a true friend.
To his right and more behind him, walked Gerland and Brooklyn. They had proved to be more his enemies than foes. They almost tried to kill him more than once, just because of their of arrogance. Yet, there they were. Part of the shield. They had been less violent around him lately and left him alone. They didn’t like him, but Rei came to the conclusion they ought to leave him just be, as long as he didn’t make any stupid mistakes. Their behavior was better towards him than the first day he met them, maybe one day, they could be friendly towards one another. And free from grudges held against each other.
And last but not least on his left, was the ice king Kai. He walked silently with a bigger gap between the other band members than anyone other. Showing he was more distend, the silent type, and the loner. He was not social at all, but was more of a type to do things through deeds than words. Like the way Rei got to know him. Rei didn’t know what he had to do with this guy. First he felt such hatred for him, he could’ve sworn he would not even care if wild dogs were to eat him alive. Unlike him at all. But now, he felt so confused. He always thought he was only out to destroy every bit of sanity he had, to make his time here hell. And to do everything in his power to destroy his dream to little bits and pieces. But after this night… So many things happened. So many things felt like they had changed. Maybe, for the best. This hatred he felt, this burning pain set in revenge in the form of a wild beast roaring inside his heart, was somehow, soothed. Maybe he was held for the blind, maybe he was just refusing or to ignorant to see what the dual hair really wanted him to know. How hard reality, actually was. The neko knew, that somewhere deep within, he was thankful. Now that he knew the pressure he would probably get, blackmailing, threats, and fights you could not run away from but had to face head on. And sometimes not having the luck that someone you hope, can save you. He would be stronger, and better to face them. Even if he had to, alone.
His gaze was slightly pointed to an opening through the circle, he could see Kai from the corners of his eyes. The look the dual hair had, was something similar to awareness. Was he expecting something to happen? Kai was wearing his usual long black French coat, with his hands deep within his pockets.
After feeling this alert moment, Rei could not help but feel watched. He knew for sure, that someone was fallowing them. Rei turned his head to look back over the path they had already passed, enough trees on bots sides the shield behind. Dark enough for people to hide in, close enough to jump them if needed. Rei looked from one side to another, darkness mixed with suspicion, made your imagination play tricks with your mind. The raven haired teen could swear he could see things moving, but found out it was just the wind. Rei got a chilly thrill throughout his spine. He felt uneasy and wanted to get to his room fast, even if his was in company of four other stronger males. Also a thing, that unconsciously worried him.
“Don’t worry Rei, you’ll be fine. Just keep walking.” Tala said not even needing to look at him once. Rei turned his head back to stare at the redhead’s back in surprise. How could he know that he felt, scared? Rei noticed that Tala said it softer than needed to, and Gerland and Brooklyn were just talking on like they didn’t even hear it. But Rei knew, they did. Then the redhead joined back in on the conversation, and Rei figured, it went about absolutely nothing. The topic was, clothing designers. And Rei knew that these males only talked when needed, and never about something random like that.
Then it shot him, someone was indeed fallowing them. And they knew it. Acting like they didn’t know would be part of a plan to keep the one who was chasing them, at bay. Then, questions entered his mind, like a bomb, all at once. Why was someone fallowing them? Why them? And for what reason? Did someone had it planned? How did all the others know except him? And why now? Did this person do it before? Were there more than one?
Rei began to feel a little frantic but just on that moment he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked to his right to see it was Brooklyn, in his own surprise. The raven haired boy blinked and looked up, he stood before his own building. He must have been in real deep thought to not have noticed it at all. Rei was once again, confused. Why did they walk with his all the way to his building? They had already passed their own ‘cause his was the furthest.
“Why-“ Rei began, but was cut off when Brooklyn put a finger on his lips. He made a soft ‘sht’ sound and pulled the hand away.
“See you tomorrow, Rei.” Tala said. Smiling a bit as he, the silver haired and orange haired male walked away to their own dorms. Except for Kai, who stood a few passes away from the neko-jin. Rei only noticed him when he turned around. He stared at the firm build male and then looked away slightly. The dual noticed. Rei slightly bit his bottom lip, why was it so hard to talk? A normal thing, a normal question, except being a big loudmouth for once. His heartbeat got slightly faster, how could it be that... As the young adult he was, that he could feel so, fragile, all of the sudden? Rei could feel his hands clench into fists, and slightly began to tremble. Why did everything he did, have to be so hard? Rei looked back up as he noticed a form standing in frond of him. It was Kai staring at him with a penetrating gaze.
“I am told to make sure you get to your dorm room unharmed, and I intend to complete that request to the end. So get moving.” Rei gave him a look, mixed with both worry, fear and suspicion.
“Why? It’s not like some one will jump out from behind a tree and shoot me.” Rei remarked but when he saw Kai’s stern look, he wasn’t so sure anymore. He just gave a little nod and walked towards the door, the dual hair was only inches behind him. The doors shoved open and let them enter, Rei looked up at the right corner of the room and saw the small little light of the red security camera.
‘At least there is something around here worthy of calling, safe.’ Rei thought as the neko walked on through the longer hall, on towards the elevator. Kai fallowed him all the way without a word. He pushed the button of the elevator, Kai watched his every move and noticed his hands were still trembling. He took it that the little kitten was either still scared, or really nervous. Probably a mix of both. The ‘ping’ sound went and the doors slowly opened. Both the males stepped inside, waiting silently for the doors to slowly slide shut. Rei slightly swallowed as he eyed the doors which seemed to close slower than they normally did. His palms were breaking a sweat as he felt his legs become heavy ‘till the weight of lead. His eyes staring intensely at the doors, almost begging them inside his mind to open again.
‘Pleas pleas pleas… Open! Oh for the love of god! Pleas open!’ He thought. His eyes slightly moved to his right to look what Kai was doing. To his surprise he saw that he was just standing there very coolly, with his hands in his pockets and slightly leaning against the wall in a casual way. Actually looking slightly bored as he was looking at the slow passing numbers of each floor they passed. Rei blinked thoughtfully because of it.
‘Why am I so worried? He’s just.. standing there.’ He had to admit, he thought the dual hair would molest him with every chance he would get. And this would be the perfect opportunity if he could say so himself. Alone just the two of them, inside a small elevator with the emergency stop button within reach and in the middle of the night while everyone was sound asleep. The there was that ‘ping’ again. It kind of chook the raven haired teen awake again as he quickly moved inside the long hall, where he could at least run if the dual hair decided to still jump him after all. They walked on in deep silence, passing several white doors until they reached one door with a golden 512 on it. Rei took his bag from his shoulder and zipped open the center, digging in his arm and searching around for a moment before taking out a key. He slide it into the lock and opened his door, he turned around when he stood in the door opening and slowly moved his eyes up with hesitantly golden orbs he gazed straight into crimson red depths. Rei’s lips slightly parted, trying to speak. But he found his throat dry.
‘C’mon Kon! Its just Hiwatari. Calm down, chill.. Okay, clear your mind. Breath, and swallow.’ He thought as he did those things unnoticeable and cracked a small smile on his inexperienced tender lips.
“Do you want to come in for a drink or something?” Rei questioned trying not to get a sound of his previous fright get in the way of his normal phrasing. Kai stared at him with a cool look, only now Rei could see the elegant and strong curves of his face. Rei had to admit, he really was handsome. Strong cheekbones which made it look strong, yet elegant pale soft skin giving him a playful touch and eyes which could only make you wonder. His silky two toned hair, some bangs and strands fell into his face giving him a carefree expression. It was also noticeable that the dual hair was slightly tired, also he had a hard day behind of him. But that only enhanced his carefree moment, a moment Hiwatari didn’t have often, and not at all when Rei was around. The dual hair closed his fiery orbs and what seemed for Rei to be thinking was for him an inner sense of amusement. Yet, his face remained expressionless.
“No. Thanks for the offer anyway, but I need to get back. Goodnight.” Kai said simply, with a little pinch of coldness as he turned and started to walk away. Rei sighed slightly as he murmured a small.
“Ohh, okay. Night..” And went inside of his room, closing the door behind himself. Was he just, rejected?.. Nehh. Rei leaned against the inside of his door, leaving the lights shut off. His head slightly tilted up as his mind wondered off, hoping to find a place were there were no questions for him to ask. So many things happened today, so many feelings he had felt and so different all from one another. The performance went great, he couldn’t have wished for anything more. But he really hoped he would be happier now. Yet, he was too troubled. When he went to see his friends.. They must have left before he did after the show. He bumped up against this, man. An image of an tall violet haired male in a long army green French coat was imprinted in his mind, not to forget his scary predatory eyes. The thing that lingered with him the most. The man wouldn’t let go of him, he was lucky that Kai came and.. saved him. Rei sighed again, lifting up his arm and feeling it. He could feel it was slightly bruised from the tight grip it had received. He had saved him once again, if Rei would to pay him for every time he did so.. Kai would be a rich man. Kai.. The scene in the changing room seriously was something to ponder about. He knew that a few weeks ago, he would have really been furious about it and who know what would have happened. But duo all the experience that was thrown his way, he knew how to handle things more calmly and without a hot head. Something he was thankful for, but then again.. He was kissed by a man, and a man who he did not understand and only seemed to take joy out of Rei’s misery. But what really bothered Rei was.. He kissed back last time, and enjoyed it too.
The raven haired boy brought his hand up to his lips and slightly stroke it with this thump. He kissed him with such, passion. It almost felt, lovingly.. Rei quickly chook his head and shrugged the thought off his mind.
‘No! I’m not thinking that way. He only did it to..’ There, his mind stopped. Why did he do it? Did he do it just because of his own pleasure? That must be it.. Rei sighed slow, yet deeply. He didn’t bother to turn on the lights as he walked on through his dark small living room and on to open his bedroom door. He found it just like he left it. A mess. What ever happened to this tidy neat Rei? Since he came here to college, his room was always a mess. But really, he couldn’t be bothered now. He walked to his small closet, and grabbed a fresh clean towel together with a pair of clean black silk pajama’s. He had to wash the day off of him, maybe he could clear his mind a bit so that he could sleep. Maybe. As he walked towards the bathroom door, he stopped briefly to look at his window. His eyes scanning over the glass between a small gap of the curtains. He could swear he saw… Doesn’t matter. He went inside the bathroom and made the water running. Quickly he stripped down and but his dirty clothes with the rest, were he would wash them later. He stepped under the hot water that massaged his muscles lightly. With each caress of the water hitting his skin, he let out a small breath of relaxation. His body felt a little sore and tense, and a shower always helped him to relax. As he took out the small strong from the tip of his braid, he unbraided his hair and let the water sink in. He let his fingers trail through his silky black locks and let it become nice and moist. He reached out for the shampoo and did a good amount on his hand, brushing it into his hair until it became nice and foamy.
(A/N; This piece of history was already told in an earlier chapter. I don’t know which one, but you have to look for yourself, its just to recall the memory.)
As he did so, he began to hum some tunes. Tunes he heard in his early past, and more important that was his inspiration to even start singing. That beautiful voice he heard when he was just a little boy. The voice he thought to be of an angel. It was so long ago, he couldn’t remember what she said anymore. But he could remember the tune very well. Also, that he went to look for the source of the sound, but never found it. It was like, when he was close to finding it, it simply disappeared. It kept his thoughts busy for hours if was needed. Why couldn’t this person be found? And the better question was, how come the person always started to sing when he needed something to sooth him? Always, if it was after his father would beat him, or when people in his village thought poorly of his intentions. When he felt bad, and he thought no one cared for him, loved him.. That voice would start and play with his heart, like a warm blanket wrapping around him. In time, finding the person was not the thing he needed to do anymore. It was just hearing that voice it self, and he would feel calmer. Though, that time was long behind him. During time, that voice came less and less. Until Rei never heard it again.. Yet, the song would always remain with him to linger in his mind. It would stay with him and be an inspiration for him whenever he would need it.
Rei turned off the water after he was done washing himself. But he didn’t move as he stood there underneath the silent showerhead with his of head faced down. His hair dripping on the floor, the little drops drifting away inside the drain. He didn’t have that many memories that were worth remembering. And that was something, he regretted the most. Rei was feeling.. Empty. He felt lifeless, he felt so much pain, deep within his heart. Just like the song, it reminded him of himself. It was so wonderful, beautiful. If you didn’t know any better, you would say it was carefree and telling so many wonderful things. But if you really listened with feeling, with feeling.. You could hear the pain the woman was in. Her heart was already torn in so many pieces, probably many times over. She wanted to tell her story, but when she wanted to.. Only stories to mask her own pain, came out.
Rei always wanted to ask the woman, why she was hurting so much? Why she never did something to stop it.. Why she remained so fragile, but still so beautiful to the world. Rei moved his arm up, and grabbed the towel. He slowly began to dry himself while he tried to memorize the words of the song. He couldn’t.. He couldn’t. He was still half wet, but already put on his nightwear. He suddenly felt so tired, yet so saddened. He ruffled his hair with the towel, many strands of hair wildly covered his face. But he didn’t care. The towel fell half on the ground, as it was still clutched in his hand by the tip. He walked out of the room, like his legs went on its own. The towel slowly got dragged after him, until he let go of it and left it behind on the floor. He walked on towards his bed, but again stopped briefly in the middle. His head slightly tilted to the side to look at the window. Just like last time, he could swear there was someone out there. It made him feel frightened. He didn’t want to be alone anymore..
He quickly stepped inside his bed and hide under the covers just like a child would do if it got scared. He knew he had to go to sleep. If he would let his emotions take the best of him, he would have an emotional breakdown. It was just the pressure of the day he thoughts. But he felt really in need of someone, that would just.. be there for him. His hand grabbed the sheets, and he pulled them back from his head. He lied down on his pillow, letting his raven locks fall over the soft fabric like a sheet of night. Sleep was the best thing against pain. If you slept, you couldn’t feel it. So he slowly closed his eyelids over his cat golden orbs, and tried to leave this world.
“Lilium..” Was the last word he mumbled before he let the black take him over. The only word he could memorize, the only word that fitted the song the woman sang for him in every time of need. Lilium. Wind blew through the small gap of his window, making the curtains move on the wind’s order. The form that sat in frond of his mirror, who know how he did it on five story’s high, had seen and heard enough. And left decided to leave.
The person had a metal cable around his belt, connected with the top of the building. He clicked something lose at the waist and started to descend down the cable until he or she hit the ground. Giving a firm pull to the back something clicked on the roof, the person pushed a button and the lock that held the cable in place let go and started to roll back inside a container. When it was all the way in again, the person looked around for a second time if he saw anyone and made a run for it when it was clear. The person ran through the night, and didn’t seem to get tired at all. When the form was at a good distance from the building, an hand dug inside jean pockets and pulled out a small mobile phone. Pushing up the top, a number was dialed and the dialing tone went three times before some one picked up, and spoke.
”How did it go?” came a sinister voice from the other end of the line. The person put a finger to his mouth, and pushed the shirt that masked half of his face down, so that he could talk back.
”According to plan.” Said another male voice back.
”It seemed that they knew I was there, they’re smart. But you were right, sir, the boy doesn’t have a clue in what kind of game he started to participate in.” He heard the other man snicker at his side of the line.
"Good good.. As long as he doesn’t know, we can form the kitten to our own hand. I never knew that it could work out this, fine… Remain unseen, and get back to headquarters. Seeing as plans go so smooth, I think you will be making your second move in this game, very soon.” The sinister main said obviously amused. The other man standing in the park smirked slightly. He was a spy, an actor, and one of the best pawns his boss had.
“I will looking forward to it. I’m heading back to base, I will wait for further orders, mister Balkov.”

The next day Rei was fully dressed and walking around in his kitchen, he didn’t have much eatable things around.. He was looking in the cupboards but found most of them to be empty. He sighed and scratched his head. He wore some blue baggy pants with a slightly tight black T-shirt today, with fingerless cloves and a lose matching vest over it. His hair held back in a traditional band and the normal red bandana on his forehead.
“C’mon! There must be something I can eat!” Rei muttered under his breath as he opened his fridge and poured himself a glass of milk, which he drank with ease. After he downed it, he put his glass in the sink and the bottle of milk back in the fridge. Then he just grabbed a nice red juicy apple from the fruit basket and walked into his living room. Only ten seconds later after he fell down in his couch the mobile phone started to vibrate and light up on the lower table in frond of him. Rei blinked as he wanted to take a another bite of his apple, but waited as he took the phone from the table that was begging for attention. He flipped up the frond and looked at the screen. It was Ronin. He saved his teacher’s number after he called him last time. Rei sighed before he took the call.
”Ohayo Ronin.” Rei said greeting the caller, for it was half past eleven and therefore still morning.
”Ohayo to you too. Say Rei, would you be so kind to drop by at the theater house today? No lesson, just a few things that need to be discussed within the group.” His teacher said requesting him friendly. And who was Rei to say no to such an kindly asked request.
”Of course, when do I have to be there?” The raven haired neko questioned picking at his apple slightly.
”What about 12 o’clock?”
”Sure, I’ll be there.”
”See you then, dja. The teacher hang up as Rei did the same. He took another bite of the apple but then blinked, since when did his teacher speak Japanese?
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Rei walked over the path between the many trees towards the theater house, it was almost 12 o’clock and the sun was getting close to its peek. He was almost there until he heard someone behind him. Rei turned around and saw a certain redhead coming his way.
“Hey Tala!” Rei greeted the redhead in a friendly way. As the male came near, Rei noticed that Tala wasn’t looking so good. He had bags underneath his eyes, and his skin was paler than usual. His eyes were slightly red and swollen, and his hair was slack. Also, he was dressed for much colder weather. Was he sick?
“Hey.” He said softly with a bit of a weak voice. They walked on towards the door while Rei had a moment to observe his fellow colleague. Rei held the door but before opening it he turned to the other male.
“Are you feeling okay? You look a little sick..” Rei said, kind of worried. Tala looked at him with narrowed eyes. Not that he was mad, but the light seemed to hurt his eyes. Then he pushed Rei’s hand away from the doorknob and opened it himself.
“Flue.” He said simply as he walked inside. Rei blinked and just accepted it, he wasn’t in the position to argue and defiantly not the Ivanof. But he did know he was not speaking the truth. Rei just fallowed the redhead inside and the door fell shut behind him. When he looked down the path he saw that the rest was already there. Ronin sat on the edge of the wooden stage and the rest sat in separate theater chairs in comfort waiting for the remaining members to join them. Of course, everyone sat separated. As they reached the row of chairs they both took some separated chairs. Tala somewhere two rows on a back seat. Rei took the second row of the frond. When they all sat, Ronin cleared his throat and smiled at his students.
“Glad that you could all make it. I suppose you have many questions.. But just let me cut it to the chase. There were five scouts in the room, and we accepted only the two highest bidders, just to play it smart.” Some band members got smirks spread over their faces and Rei smiled and felt glee.
“One wants us to do the opening performance of a huge music festival, that’s in the end of October. And seeing as we are in the final days of August I better start making a production fast.”
“End of October? That will only give us a small ten weeks.” Gerland interrupted.
“Yes, it doesn’t matter however you’ll call it. Seventy days, ten weeks, or two months and two weeks. All the same. Fact is, time is running out, so I have to find a good song and fitting production fast.” Ronin said giving Gerland a stern look. The silver haired male simply nodded in understanding.
“Before we started this, I already told you all that stress would be put on you. And now its time to put your endurance on the test in a serious production, for real. I have faith in you all, and I know that you can do it.” Ronin spoke, letting his eyes rest on every pair he could find in the room. Rei felt his anticipation grow, he wanted to do this! He had to urge to work harder than ever. He wanted to get on that stage and show what he was capable of.
“We will have to put a new song together. I want you all to write your own song, instruments used, base instrument, who sings what and what. I will take them all in consideration and pick out the best, and next to that I will come up with some performance that we can do using the material that is offered us on stage.” Rei felt confusion itch his nose, and so he raised his hand to ask.
“Yes?”
“Do you mean we have to do things other than play instruments or sing?” He questioned dumb struck. All of the men chuckled at his ignorance. The raven haired boy got a twitch, finding out that he was the only one with that question.
“Yes, Rei, you have to do other things than sing. Its some sort of a.. Musical. If you like to call it that. Its much harder, and of a professional level. But I have no doubt in your skills. Its like singing, plus a dance performance in one.” Ronin insured the boy, who nodded in return and sat back down in his seat calmly. Ronin continued.
“Then you all, or some, have to learn a dance perfectly on music timing. We have to make a new song, learn the lines ‘till we can sing them in our sleep, and get the right sound of the instruments with it that will amaze even god himself. We need to get a new wardrobe and ignore up coming media, at, all, times. And we have to do this within the next ten weeks.” It was silent for a while. Everyone was moving the wheals inside their brains. Ten weeks, was all of that really possible in ten weeks? Rei could no longer take it.. he had to say something! And so he jumped up from his chair with a fist raised up in the air.
“Yosh! Then what are we waiting for!?” He said energetic and smirked wickedly. Everyone stared at him with a blank look. This was unexpected. The youngest member of the band had most confidence of all, most interesting indeed. Ronin smiled because of it, and gave a positive nod.
‘I expected nothing less.’ He thought approving. Gerland and Brooklyn who sat close together got smirks on their faces and gazed at him.
“Don’t get all jumpy kid, ten weeks is a very short time to make such a big production.” Gerland said kind of arrogant.
“Yeah. What makes you have so much faith anyway?” Brooklyn added. Rei smirked at them And then looked at his teacher.
“Because I made a promise.” He said, as loyal as he would always remain to his own words. He promised he would not let Ronin down, and he promised he would do his very best in everything he did. He didn’t care that they only had ten weeks. Ten were enough. The males looked at him, and Rei’s confidence made them feel… stronger. Like it was even possible to pull of such a thing.
“And besides! If I can do a performance almost flawless, than this isn’t such a big deal! We can do this!” Said the neko-jin.
“Almost.” Gerland added mockingly.
“Urusai!” Rei cursed at him in Japanese for spoiling his moment of light. Ronin shook his head in a nodding no and sighed.
“Children calm down.. There is another matter I wished to discus.” Rei humpfed and sat back down in his seat. All the eyes were directed back at the teacher who grabbed a clipboard that waited next to him on stage. He flipped a piece of paper over the top to give a look at the next one.
“A whole different matter, rooming.” He said serious as he looked up from the board and stared at the faces of his students. It was like everyone had seen that one coming, except for Rei of course.
“Duo to the situation of short of rooms, and that you have to be together more as a band and get to know each other better, I am forced to pair some of you up and share a room. I know that you teenagers slash young adults, do not like to share your own little piece of private sanctuary,” He moved his fingers up and down when he said ‘slash’ like in a sarcastic matter.
“But it’ll be for the best. Even of you do not agree with me, get used to it, its happening anyway.” Rei felt a lump in his throat and all of his positive excitement suddenly flushed down the drain. Share a room with one of these four? No-way!
“How much I protest to room these two, I don’t see with who other they can be paired up with without causing too much trouble. So, Gerland and Brooklyn, room up.” There were two loud ‘yes’ hear and Brooklyn was suddenly seated on Gerland’s lap. The teacher blinked in amazement when he saw the scene. The silver hair’s arms were wrapped around his lover who seemed to be enjoying the attention like a lovesick puppy.
“Riiight. Next up,” He moved a page further. And Rei felt as nervous as ever. He was bound to be roomed up, but with who?!
‘Pleas let it be Tala Pleas let it be Tala Pleas let it be Tala!’ He thought wishing in his mind knowing he wouldn’t be able to sleep one single night in a room alone with Kai. His own eyes burning inside the dual hair’s back who sat one row lower a few chairs to the left.
“Rei, I am rooming you up too. Seeing as you can use a good practice partner since you’re the one with least experience or lessons in the past. I want you all to move to your new room in which one is closest to the theater house. And move in by tomorrow night. Tala there is a free room for you inside that building too, so you’ll also have to move, you’ll have one for yourself. Rei, you’re rooming with Kai.”
TBC…
“Andddd Cut!” Was it any good? Can I get spelled the word Rooooomiiing! *0* Sorry, just couldn’t resist the possibility. I have SUCH a great Idea for the next performance they have to do, It’ll be like GOOD! *plots* Some translations!

TBC…
