Chapter 18

Rei and Raul walked in silence toward the dance/opera house. The Spanish boy glanced at the raven hair and noticed he was walking a bit weird.
‘I wonder if he hurt his leg?’ “Um Rei?”
“Yeah?” He continued to walk without looking at Raul.
“About last night…what happened to you?”
The raven hair didn’t respond instead he quickens his pace. Raul quickly began to follow.
“Is something wrong? Is it by any chance the performance from last night? I mean you did great, no one really noticed.”
“How come everyone I know always tells me that?!” He stopped surprising the Spanish boy.
“I’m sorry…I didn’t know.”
“Of course you didn’t! You don’t know anything! No one does! So will you stop trying to care for me already! I really like you Raul but there will never be anything between us now!”
With that he left the now stunned boy standing alone. He watched as the raven hair walked anger, soon his vision became blurring and tears began to fall.



The entire dance class was sitting waiting for Brooklyn to walk in and explain the sudden call. Rei walked in and took a seat in the back. He looked down at the rows and saw Kai sitting with Tala who seemed to annoy him with a conversation.
‘…He acts all calm…that fucking pervert.’ He glared at the back of the dual hair. ‘Everyone thinks you’re so perfect when in fact you’re nothing but a rapist…’
Suddenly Kai turned around and stared straight at the raven hair’s eyes. Rei quickly looked away and tried to ignore the eyes that continued to stare at him.
“Hi ho everyone!” Brooklyn walked in with Jin following behind. They all greeted their two teachers and waited patiently for the orange hair to make the announcement.
“Did anyone of you read this morning’s review?”
Everyone began to look at one another.
“Well judging by your faces I take it that you did.”
‘I don’t recall reading any review?’ The raven hair watched as Jin handed Brooklyn a newspaper.
“Well it did have some wonderful reviews. A lot of the reviewers said some real nice comments except for a certain sentence in each of them.” He cleared his throat and began to read out loud. “The fairy Princess was indeed a wonderful and magical performance except for a certain character. It seemed that a certain performer lacked the same potential as everyone else. In fact Kai who is the top performer rescued the error by jumping in and making it seem as part of the act.” He folded the paper up and looked back at the class. “All of the critics said the same thing. I have decided to give that certain person another try. I also wish that none of you torture or insult that person. We will give the same performance for a couple of more weeks. Different hospitals would like to let their children patience enjoy this show. So please everyone continue to practice. The show will continue for another three weeks after that I will tell you about our new project. That is all I wanted to tell you. Please come back here on Monday morning. Have a nice weekend then. Dismissed.”
Everyone slowly began to leave the building. While they passed by Rei they all just looked at him and whispered at each other.
‘I ruined the performance. Everyone knows it.’ He kept his head lowered and waited until everyone left the building.
The sound of the last foot stepping out was heard and that is when he stood up and made his way toward the door. He stepped out and was greeted by a smiling red head.
“Hey Rei.”
“Hi.”
He began to walk ahead.
“Don’t let that little review ruin it for you. It happens. I mean I remember the first time I screwed up big as well and I didn’t have Kai to help me either.”
“Wow I must be special.” He said in a tone of sarcasm.
“Hey how about we go for some coffee? My treat.” He smiled at the raven hair.
“I don’t know…”
“Come on just to talk. I know you’re feeling down after that but I can make you forget all about it.” He winked at Rei making him blush.
“Um okay.”
“Great come on.”
With that they both began to exit the building.



“Brooklyn how about if I help you out with the next production?”
“Garland I don’t want to bother you with that. Besides don’t you have to meet up with that singing group?”
“Yeah but after that I can come and help you out. What do you say?”
He looked over at the orange hair that was handing him a soda.
“You actually want to help out a college dance class? I mean don’t you have a whole mess of artists waiting for you?”
“Yeah but hey it is only once a year or more that I get to see you. I think this would be an awesome way for us to spend some time together. Don’t you think so?”
“That would be lovely. And I bet it would be a great privilege for the students to learn from the best.”
“You’re number one Brook. You just don’t show your true talent to anyone.”
“And I don’t mind. I enjoy it here. I love this job and everyone I work with.”
“I get the feeling you love someone in particular.” He winked at the orange hair.
“You could say that.”
“Well then that person is sure lucky to have you.” He opened his soda ad began to drink it.
“Yeah if only he felt that way…” He whispered so only he could hear.



“Here you two are two cups of hazel nut coffee one with sugar no milk and the other with milk and sugar.” The blond set the two drinks down. “Would you care for anything else?”
“Yeah bring me a blueberry muffin.”
“Sure. How about you Rei?”
“No this is fine.”
“I’ll be back with your muffin Tala.”
“Thanks Max.”
The blond walked away leaving the two alone. Rei placed his hands on the side of the mug and stared at the hot liquid.
“Hey tell me something.”
The raven hair looked up at the read head that took a quick sip from his mug.
“Yeah?”
“Is it hard to comb all that long hair? I mean damn look at the length of that. Why so long?”
“I don’t know. I guess I like it like this.”
“Well it’s cool. You looked real hot when it was all loose that one performance.” He winked at the raven hair who was now completely red in the face.
“Thanks I guess.”
Max came back and placed the muffin down on a small plate.
“Here you go.”
“Thanks.”
The blond smiled and walked away.
“So how is living with Kai been so far?”
“Um…hell”
“Should have guessed. I mean that guy is a real ass especially when he goes and gives you that certain death glare. He never changed.”
“You sound like you know him real well.”
“Yeah I do. We grew up together so I know the history of that cold hearted bastard.” He took a bite from his muffin.
“I see.” Rei ran his index finger over the rim of the mug.
“Let’s forget about that guy okay.”
“Fine.” He sighed and looked out the window. ‘Even though I constantly think about his lips and how they tasted…’
Tala smirked as he drank his coffee.
‘I think this guy has a thing for Kai too. Man this is going to be fun.’



Julia was lying on the floor on her belly with her feet up.
“Okay here is another question. If the honey from a bee’s hive is warm and sticky then why in a jar it is thick and biter?” She looked up at Kai with a confused look. “What kind of questions are these? Man for a magazine for romance guidance it really sucks.”
“I don’t know why you eve read that dribble.”
“It’s interesting. I mean you get some real good hair tips and also news on your favorite stars. Like did you know that Garland signed a contract to with Boa in order to make some videos with her.”
“Whatever.”
“Kai you just don’t know when to be excited do you?” She turned the page to her magazine and began to read it.
“I just don’t see what the point is to worship people like that.”
“Oh come on! You have so many people right here in Silver River who practically worship you!”
“Which makes them idiots.”
“No wonder why you don’t have a girlfriend.” She rolled over to her back and lifted the magazine.
“Julia you just don’t understand.”
“Sure I do. Your gay and you haven’t found that special someone.”
Kai didn’t responded. Then there was a knock on the door.
“I wonder who that could be. Oh it could be Ming Ming. We are going to go shopping today.”
She stood up and walked over to the door. She opened it and standing there was Raul who was crying.
“Raul! What’s wrong?”
He threw himself into her arms and began to bawl loudly.
“Hey what happened little brother? Did Jerry and his jerky friends beat you up again?” She began to run her hand through his hair. “I am going to kill that bastard!”
“No…it wasn’t him…”
“Come on in.” She pulled him inside and closed the door. “Come on sit down.” She walked him over to the couch and sat down with her younger brother. “Kai can you please get me some water and a box of tissues.”
The dual hair simply stood up and moved away toward the kitchen. She continued to comfort her brother until Kai walked back in with the water and a box of tissues.
“Thanks.”
She handed her little brother the water.
“Drink up slowly.”
He slowly began to drink down all the water and soon it was all gone. He sniffled and she handed his a tissue.
“Now tell me what happened.”
He took in a deep breath and looked down at the crumbled tissue.
“Julia I really like him…but today he…he yelled at me and told me that there will never be anything between us…”
“Who did?”
“Rei…”
“You mean that clumsy idiot?”
He nodded and soon tears began to form once more. Kai just listen through the kitchen entrance.
‘So it seems that the idiot rejected the wimp. What a shame.’ He smirked and continued to listen.
“Raul maybe he just isn’t into guys…”
“No he likes me he told me…but…” He looked up at his sister with tears running down the side of his cheeks. “Why Julia!? Why is he rejecting me!?”
He once again threw himself into her arms and she simply sighed and hugged him tighter.
“Raul…you just have to learn to accept things like that. ‘That clumsy idiot! How dare he yell at my brother. I am going to kick his ass so badly now!’
Kai looked at them and then he began to walk out.
“I’ll just leave you two alone.”
“Okay. Later Kai.”
“Whatever.”
He stepped out of the room and closed the door.
‘I’ll just go meet up with Tala at Spica’s like we planned.’
He began to descend the stairs and made his way out of the large building. He began to walk out and headed toward the direction where all the restaurants were located.
“Hey you fucking rapist!”
The dual hair stopped and looked behind him to see a bluenette running right at him.
He turned around and crossed his arms over his chest. Takao stopped in front of him and had his fist clenched up.
“What do you want faggot?”
“Don’t you give me that shit! I’m here to beat the crap out of your smart ass!”
“Oh really?”
“Yeah! How dare you go and rape my friend like that. You call me a faggot but in fact you’re the fag! You go and make him lose his virginity to your fucking shit like that.” He hissed and glared at the dual hair.
“It’s none of your damn business what I do with him. So go fuck your lover.”
“Shut up! I should take your ass down right now and toss you to the police.”
“Go ahead. No one is stopping you.” He smirked at the bluenette making him even angrier.
“You are so dead.” He whispered in a harsh tone and he charged at the dual hair.
Mihaeru came running and saw his boyfriend heading straight toward Kai.
“TAKAO!”
