Disclaimer:
I do not own the Gundam series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Resolutely Adjoined
Author’s note: By now you must have caught on to the fact that I am slow at updating…if you are a new reader…you have been forewarned as to further chapters…
Warnings: Perhaps if my creativity were to stretch a little further I would find some more warnings to issue…nope. I used up all my strength in the Author’s note.
Disclaimer: Alllwaaaayyyaayyyssss Disclaiming. I do not own Gundam Seed. I gave up on it, actually. All that I created in relation to Gundam Seed was this fan fiction.

“But don’t tell anyone I said that to you.” He added with a wink.
Yep, Nicol definitely liked the nurse

“You walk slow.”
“No I don’t…you walk slow!!!”
Dearka quirked an eyebrow up. “But you’re walking slower than me.”
“Bully.” Cian grumbled.
Dearka’s already growing smile widened. “So, are you going to walk faster so we can get to the sick ward before the day is over?”
Cian blushed. //I’m not walking that slow…//
Dearka turned to face Cian and stopped quickly so that Cian bumped full into Dearka’s chest. The tanned boy looked down at Cian in mock expectance.
“Well?” He pressed. //I shouldn’t be picking on him so much…but it’s addictive.//
Cian, in the meantime, was struggling to oppress his ever cursed blush. “Well…we should keep walking if we expect to get there, right?”
He stated, culturing his voice to make the sentence sound as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, though sighing with regret at the loss of Dearka’s touch once the other boy obliged.
Dearka chuckled, a low sound that was rich and only fuelled the inferno raging across Cian’s cheeks.
“Just around this corner…” Dearka turned sharply. Too sharply. Cian barely had time to register what the other boy had said.
“Wha?” Cian spun around, his eyes meeting silence and what seemed like yards of empty hallway. //Where’d he go?// Cian wondered, puzzled thoroughly.
Dearka just smiled. There was a secret loft around the corner that you could hop up onto from the pile of abandoned desks. It was high up and Dearka knew that Cian would not think to look up for him.
“What are you doing up there?” Cian’s voice came, still containing traces of puzzlement.
//Oh, I was wrong then.//
Dearka grinned down at Cian. “Come up here!”
“Huh?”
“Come on, get your butt up here!”
“How?”
Dearka smirked, eyes diluted with mock impatience.
“The desks…”
“Oh…right….why?”
“You ask too many questions!!!”
“I’ll be right up.” Cian placed a reluctant hand upon the bottom desk, discovered that they were all piled in a satisfactorily stable manner, and clambered the rest of the way up.
“Not the most graceful of creatures are you?” Dearka laughed as he pushed Cian down onto the age worn couch (Which was the only furniture the loft had to offer).
Cian felt his abdomen begin to relax, and he was surprised to feel a certain heat surge to his groin. The boy just sat until realizing with disgust what his body had just begun to signal.
//How can I be thinking that? Just because he pushed me onto the couch? He was just playing around!!!//
The betrayal must have shown on Cian’s face because Dearka sat down beside the boy and looked into his eyes with suspicion. “Hey, you look like your waging some sort of inner issues…are you alright? You feel sick or something?”
“Uh? Oh…no, it’s nothing like that. I’m fine, thanks…”
“Yeah? Because your face is all flushed and stuff…”
“N-no! I’m fine! Positive!”
Dearka raised an eyebrow before shrugging and laying back into the soft old couch.
“If you’re sure, man.”
Cian nodded, relief washing across him. “I’m sure.”
In a flash, Dearka had his face practically flush with Cian’s. Only inches away. Cian found himself wanting to close the distance…only to chastise himself inside…but he still couldn’t move away.
“So what do you think about this place?” Dearka asked, his soft warm breath gracing Cian’s face.
“It’s odd that they hid it…well, I’m assuming that they hid it…that’s an awkward ladder system.”
Dearka smiled secretively and sat back down to his original position…making Cian wish once again that the other boy hadn’t broken the contact.
“Yeah…not a lot of students know about it actually. This isn’t a common route to take the infirmary and this loft is well hidden.”
//I wonder how long he’s known about it.// Cian decided to voice his question. “How long have you been coming up here?”
“Since my first year to this place.”
Cian nodded and smiled, leaving room for Dearka to speak more…which he didn’t.
It was silent until Dearka finally did speak. “We should be getting down to the ward then…”
“Dearka?”
“Yes?”
“Thank-you for taking me here.”
Dearka smiled. “No problem.”

Nicol went straight down to the sick ward. He had to go see Kira and make sure that the boy’s fever was under control.
He sighed, thinking about what the nurse had said. He had been so forward with Nicol, asking the boy about his current state of mind. Nicol didn’t wish to admit it to himself but he realized that some insecurity had been brought to surface by the nurse.
Nicol had thought he had his emotions about this year tied down well. The truth was though, the talent show was coming up and other stresses were bringing themselves into motion. He needed to succeed with the song he had recently decided to play on the piano. It was imperative. If he could impress the attending judges, he would have a chance at performing professionally and he would already have a good shot at his career, despite what his father wanted. Nicol was feeling the pressure.
Kira had decided to work with Athrun and Yzak to write up a script based on three different people who each got their own period of single monologue.
Most of the students were going to play instruments though, so Kira had less competition than Nicol.
He yawned before opening the door of the sick ward. //How can I still be so tired though? After all the sleep I had today…?//
Nicol was greeted by a series of surprised and happy greetings, coupled with questions about the details of what had happened.
Nicol smiled and didn’t reply until the questions died down. He looked at Kira. The brunette spoke, “Are you alright, Nicol?”
Nicol nodded. “Are you?”
Kira flashed Nicol the thumbs up sign.
Yzak grinned. “Together at last!”
Kira threw a pillow at him.
