Title: A Day Out

Hours passed after Shinn and Lunamaria had sex in the room. Shinn woke up first, and saw that Lunamaria was still asleep. He then went into the bathroom to take a bath and brush his teeth. Minutes later, Lunamaria woke up to the sound of the ringing of Shinn’s personal cellphone.

‘Shinn, you have a call,’ Lunamaria called out to Shinn.

‘Help me to answer it,’ Shinn replied. Minutes passed and Lunamaria called out to Shinn.

‘Athrun wants to meet you, at the Orb Parliament House. Kira and he have something to discuss with you,’ Lunamaria called out. At that moment, Shinn stepped out of the toilet.

‘Got it. We’ll go over to meet them after you are ready,’ Shinn told Lunamaria.

About half an hour later, both Shinn and Lunamaria were out of the hotel and they took a cab to the Parliament House.



1 hour later

Shinn and Lunamaria reached the Parliament House and told the security that Athrun wants to speak to him. The guard went in and after some time, he came out and led Shinn and Lunamaria in. They were both led to the Waiting Room.

The guard told them to wait for Kira, Lacus, Athrun and Cagalli. 10 minutes passed, and all four, no, five (including Meyrin) people appeared.

Cagalli walked up to both Shinn and Lunamaria and extended her hand.

‘I’m Cagalli, representative of Orb. Nice to meet you,’ Cagalli told Shinn and Lunamaria.

Shinn and Lunamaria both shook her hand and sat down.

‘I’ve heard a lot about you from Athrun, Shinn. He said that you was a very good pilot, one of the top. He had even recommended you to join the military of Orb, without having to go through the Academy,’ Cagalli told Shinn.

‘So, that’s what Athrun said. So you called me to meet you here to get me to join your military? I’m not sure about it,’ Shinn replied.

‘Shinn, it will be great. You promised Kira that you would fight for the freedom of mankind, this would give you the opportunity to do so,’ Lunamaria tried convincing Shinn.

‘Shinn, it’s alright if you do not want to take it up. Lunamaria, I also could use your help in the military. I’m thinking of having Shinn as one of the trainers and leaders for one of the squadron, while you, Lunamaria, will be his assitant,’ Cagalli told Lunamaria.

‘I’m not sure about it, if Shinn goes, I’ll go,’ Lunamaria replied.

‘I guess I’ll have to accept this offer. To protect the freedom of everyone. Maybe this is the only option for me,’ Shinn replied.

‘So, Shinn, since you’ve said that, I believe that both Athrun and Kira will be glad. And Lunamaria, you will be in too, I guess,’ Cagalli told Lunamaria.

‘Yah, I guess so,’ Lunamaria replied.

After a few more minutes of talking, everyone stood up and left the room. Both Shinn and Lunamaria left the Parliament House, while Kira, and the rest went in different direction in the Parliament House.



Following Athrun, Cagalli and Meyrin

‘So Meyrin, your sister will be in the military too, so what’s your decision?’ Athrun asked.

‘I think I’ll remain on the Eternal being a CIC officer,’ Meyrin replied.

‘How about you being our technology head officer?’ Cagalli asked.

‘I’m not really sure. I’m not even confident of taking up this post,’ Meyrin told Cagalli.

‘I’ll give you a few days to decide, inform Athrun and me after you decided,’ Cagalli told Meyrin.

After that, they went off in different direction, with Athrun and Cagalli heading back in the cabins direction.

‘Cagalli, do you have anything on today?’ Athrun asked.

‘I don’t think so, why?’ Cagalli replied.

‘It’s been such a long time since we have time for each other. I was thinking whether we could go out today,’ Athrun said.

‘Yeah, it has been a long time. Guess I’ll be stuck with you for the rest of they day, then,’ Cagalli said with a slight blush.

‘So I’ll meet you at your cabin in half an hour time? We got to bath and change out of our military uniform,’ Athrun said, with a slight blush too.

‘Alright, see you later then,’ Cagalli said and head towards her cabin.

Athrun then went into his cabin and started changing. He then thought about what they could do for the rest of the day.

‘Hmmm, we could go for lunch since it’s going to be noon soon. Then, we could catch a movie. Then we could go to where she wants, before heading for dinner and then come back. Her birthday is also around the corner, so I could get her a present while keeping it as a surprise from her,’ Athrun thought.



30 minutes passed

Athrun was ready and outside Cagalli’s cabin waiting for her. He knocked on the door and waited for about 3 minutes before the door opened.

‘So are you ready?’ Athrun asked Cagalli.

‘Give me a minute,’ Cagalli replied and went back in to do some things before coming back out. ‘Now, I’m ready. So where are we going first?’ Cagalli asked.

‘Since it’s already noon, and I guess we both haven’t had our lunch, we could go downtown for it?’ Athrun replied.

‘Good idea, let’s go.’ Cagalli said.

Athrun and Cagalli started walking to the entrance of the Parliament House. ‘So what will we be eating?’ Cagalli asked.

‘I heard there’s a new restaurant in downtown. It had just opened a few days ago, so I was thinking of going there, unless you have any suggestions?’ Athrun said.

‘Nope, I don’t have. I’ll just go with you then,’ Cagalli replied.



At the new restaurant

Parking his car at the carpark, both Athrun and Cagalli got out of the car and entered the restaurant to find a place to sit.

Cagalli picked up the menu and read it. Athrun then picked up the menu too and read it.

‘So, what do you plan on eating?’ Athrun asked.
