Goku was just as surprised as Mirai was when they looked at each other, but as Kid Buu appeared on the planet; their attention was pulled away from the other. “Man! There’s no way to beat this guy!”
Dende spoke up, after forcing Mirai to lie back down so he could finish healing him. “Why not use the spirit bomb?”
Goku shook his head, powering up along with Vegeta. “We don’t have enough time! Besides we’d never get enough power! If everyone was here…maybe-”
Goku’s thoughts were drowned out by King Kai’s voice. “Goku! Try it; it’s all you have left!”
“AHA! King Kai! We need your help!”
Vegeta frowned as Kid Buu stepped closer and closer towards him, powering as high as he could. “Hurry Kakorot! I’ll stall!” Mirai went to stand, but was pushed back down by his father. “You’re no good out there boy! Stay here!”
Mirai watched his father rush to fight Kid Buu, and he closed his eyes, unable to watch his father. It was a massacre, Buu, the original one, somehow managed to make it to the planet with them, how Mirai didn’t know but feeling his power level he sat up, only to be pushed down again. Time meant nothing to him, words were said, and arguments shouted, Buu beaten up, somehow in the mix, his mind closed off to keep himself from helping; Hercule had managed to become a hero. Guess he was good for something after all. But hearing his father cry out, feeling that power level drop to almost nothing, Mirai could hold back no longer. Powering to Super Saiyan as he stood, throwing most of his power to almost double the side of the spirit bomb Goku was controlling, before he screamed in rage, tackling Kid Buu to his side, throwing punches and kicks, taking him by surprise. Buu was weak, but he managed to join Mirai in the fight, distracting Kid Buu and Hercule rescued Vegeta from the path of the upcoming destruction.
Buu was the first to fall in the battle, leaving a still wounded Mirai to fight alone, distracting Kid Buu long enough for Goku to throw his attack, the giant ball heading towards them. Mirai smirked up at the spirit bomb, but he didn’t smirk long, Kid Buu attacking him and tossing him to the side, like a rag doll, before he unleashed his attack against the upcoming doom. Mirai groaned, pulling himself out of the way of imminent danger as the spirit bomb fell down, and was stopped, caught a second before impact. Mirai could only lie there, propped up on his elbows, lying on his back, as he watched the bomb slowly moving backwards. How could this be? Kid Buu was cheating death, and Goku was at his strength’s limit. Standing, Mirai ignored screams for him to move, ignored his father’s voice, and screamed his own battle call, screaming Gohan’s name as he sped at Buu, and punched him, distracting him before he kicked him in the back, only smirking as the distraction was enough to pull his defenses from the spirit bomb long enough for Goku to throw his restored energy into it, sending it to shatter, destroying kid Buu for good.
