A month after Trunks returned, Gohan had gotten over his depression and along with the other Z fighters have entered an inter-galactic tournament. The tournament was a disaster. A monster named Bojack and his followers interrupted the tournament and tried to kill the Z fighters. Just like with Cell, Gohan had to fight and when all hope seemed lost, Gohan tapped into his hidden powers and transformed into Super Saiyan 2 once again. Gohan destroyed Bojack’s servants and punched a hole in Bojack’s stomach.
Bojack flies into the air and charges up an energy blast. “Got any last words, kid?”
Gohan looks up at Bojack in anger. “Yea. One.” Gohan positions his hands for a Kamehameha. “Ka-Me-Ha-Me” Gohan fires the blast at Bojack. “Ha!”
Bojack fires his energy blast and the two energy blasts clash. Gohan’s Kamehameha quickly overcomes Bojack’s blast. “No!” The Kamehameha destroys Bojack.
Gohan falls down and reverts back to normal. ‘I did it! Thanks to you father,’ Gohan falls asleep.
Trunks flies down to where Gohan is resting. “You did it Gohan! You killed that monster!” He picks Gohan up and holds him. “Gohan, wake up!”
Gohan doesn’t wake up. “Gohan.”
Vegeta walks to them and throws him a bag. “Here son.”
Trunks catches the bag and opens it. “Sensu Beans! Thanks Father.”
Vegeta turns his back to Trunks. “Whatever.”

They all heard Goku’s voice calling out to them. “That’s right son.” Goku tells his son. “I haven’t abandoned you or anyone. I will always be watching from Otherworld. I will be watching you, your mother, and the baby when it’s born.”
Gohan look up with tears in his eyes. “Daddy, I’m sorry I doubted you. I just…”
Goku interrupted him. “Hey it’s ok son. You had every right to be mad at me. Don’t apologize for anything.”
“Thank you Dad.”
Vegeta spoke up. “Kakorot!”
“Hu? What is it Vegeta?” Goku asked.
“Listen very carefully! One day we will fight again and when that day comes, I WILL defeat you!”
Goku chuckles a little. “I look forward to it Vegeta.”
“Good.” And with that Vegeta flies away.
Trunks notices that Gohan is crying softly. Trunks pulls Gohan closer to him. “Hey what’s wrong?”
“Well it’s just I haven’t been myself sense I beat Cell. All this time I thought I was mad at Daddy for leaving but think all this time, I’ve really been mad at myself for letting him die! I can’t forgive myself for that!”
Trunks hugs Gohan tighter. “Oh Gohan. Don’t be mad at yourself. Your dad isn’t mad at you.”
“Exactly son. I know you didn’t mean to let Cell kill me. I’m not mad. I love you Son. Until next time.” And with that the telepathic link is cut.

Trunks let Gohan go. “Are you alright now Gohan?”
“Yes.”
They both stand up but Gohan sits back down. “Uh…Trunks. I can’t stand up right now.”
