Twister

“Damned it! It MUST be around here somewhere, but I’m STILL getting no reading!” He growled , fiddling with the side of the scouter. “Gohan, can you PLEASE stop clinging to my leg! It makes it REALLY hard to walk.”

Gohan groaned in fright, clinging tighter to his Uncle’s leg. The wind had really picked up and even Raditzu’s thick main was flying out behind him like a flag. It was getting increasingly colder out, and it was not just because of the ferocity of the wind.

Shivering Raditzu wrapped his arms around himself sweeping the landscape below from the ridge they had climbed. Nothing as far as the eyes could see. A pod landing sight would not recover easily in a forest such as this. Trees would be snapped, plant life burned and scorched. There would be a impact sight where no trees would grow for years. He could see none of that but it might be because all the trees were leafless and looked dead.

“Uncle Raditzu! We should turn back!” Gohan shouted the fear clear in his voice.

“Hush…” Bending over he pried Gohan off of his leg and cradled him to his chest trying to keep him warm as best as he could. Another blast of thunder and lightening lit up the dark sky and Raditzu plunged on through the forest, tripping over a tree root and nearly falling head first over the edge of a steep cliff they followed. Growling , he righted himself and looked over the edge. If he would have fallen off of that…

“Oh my god.” He cried out in wonderment. Hopping over the edge of the cliff, he floated down into a clearing of sorts. “Why hadn’t I seen this before!?” He set Gohan down as soon as he landed. The wind had stilled and the air seemed a bit warmer down in-between the impressive cliffs of red stone.

“W-what is it?”

Raditzu pointed back up from where they had came to another rock face that formed the other side of the narrow valley. “See that rock wall? Doesn’t it look like something collided with it?”

“I guess…yeah!” Gohan exclaimed his excitement back. “Does that mean Daddy’s space ship is nearby?”

“Yeah!” Raditzu exclaimed, turning to frown at the other rock face. It looked as if…approaching the tumble of rocks that rested behind him he pushed a few aside and smirked. “Come here and help me move these rocks Gohan!” Overhead a flash of thunder flickered across the heavens, lighting the valley for a second, the raw light flashing off of something shiny under the rocks.

Bolders of every size and shape began to fly and in moments Raditzu could see what he had thought he had felt. “Tada!” He exclaimed to the curious cub. “A space pod…we’re going to move the rest of the rocks before we can get to it…at least the work will warm us up, right?”

“What happened that it became buried?” Gohan asked managing to slide a rock that was about as big as he was, out of the way.

“Either someone buried it…or a rock slide covered it…I’m willing to bet a rockslide if this thing slammed into the side of the cliff like this…the rocks here seem sedimentary” Raditzu grunted quickly clearing the rest of the rocks away before he pounded his fist against the side of the pod, the hydraulic door popping open an inch. “Dang, its broken…”

“Maybe we could pry it open…” Gohan suggested wanting to know what the inside of a pod looked like.

“Hn…I know how to fix this…out of the way…” He carefully got in front of the door and grabbed the edge, using all his strength the pry the old thing up and out of the way.

“WHy is everything upside down?” Gohan asked, looking in at the seat and the panels.

“Because it landed like that…how in the world did Kakkarot survive a landing like this?” Raditzu whispered to himself, crawling into the pod. “Its going to take a while to get this thing working properly again. Now I see why we couldn’t find it with a scouter…the power source has been shut down to conserve energy. Everything is in standby mode.”

“What’s that?”

“That’s the communication systems.” Raditzu explained to the cub who had begun to explore all the buttons and the levers and the functioning radar which all rest at perfect eye level to the cub. “I’ve gotta get this thing working….” He mumbled, flipping switches and toggles.

“I-is this one of Furiza’s ships?” Gohan asked shivering as a fat drop of rain smacked his cheek.

“Yes and no,” Raditzu sighed removing a panel to look into the wiring. “Its Truffle technology…we as Saiyans adopted it after the war even though we never really went off world. A space ship was a handy thing to have in the science community. After Furiza kidnapped us and forced us to live upon his ship. He stole our technology and began using it as his own. This is easier than I thought it would be…the power switches have all been thrown…hn. If I flip this one…and this one…the computers should turn off and restart out of standby.”

Suddenly lights flickered on in the small pod. “Energy restored” He said with a smile, “Hey Gohan, if you’ll move out of the way, I think I can get this thing out of the rock face…” Carefully Raditzu maneuvered himself with the use of Ki, into the pilots seat. Reaching up he pulled the door shut and engaged the manual controls.

Gohan scurried out of the way, looking up to the brewing clouds. Several more fat drops pattered Gohan’s nose and cheeks. “Thrusters forward, power at max…” Gohan heard his Uncle’s growls. The ship began to rattle and rocks cascaded over the front of the ship. “Come on…” Like a champagne cork, the pod burst forth from the rocks only to skid across the ground and through a few trees.

The ship halted and Raditzu used the hover controls to shift the direction the door was facing so he could get out without having to pus hover a few young saplings. Setting the pod down, he powered down the thrusters and opened the door again to be greeted by Gohan.

“THAT WAS AMAZING!” He declared jumping up and down, his tail wagging back and forth behind him in an excited ark. “Can you do that again!?” He ignored the cold drizzle that had begun to fall.

“Yeah, but we have a mission, don’t we?” Raditzu said, helping the cub climb into his lap before he pressed the auto close button for the doors. “Come here, before you catch a cold. Hmmm…I guess it was just because the power was turned off before…stupid hydraulics ” He said watching the door slide effortlessly shut.

“Okay, what are we looking for? A big green button? A switch, what?” Gohan asked, already playing with buttons that he shouldn’t be touching.

“Hands off cub…we’re going to fiddle with the main computer. See where this ship came from first…then you can play with the control panel. I’ll teach you all about flying this bird.”

“Really? You’d do that!?”

Raditzu chuckled and wrapped an arm around Gohan to keep him still as he began to do a functions check of the main computer system.

“Its going to get really bad up north near your house. Its going to be even worse in the mountains. Perhaps you should go home or call Raditzu.” Bulma said almost absentmindedly as she left her destroyed lab to walk back down the hall.

“We’ve gotta find Raditzu and warn him about the storm!” Napa growled, “Get off my lap you lazy slug.”

“Hn.” Vegeta snorted, standing somewhat shakily from his safety net. “Why don’t you just tell him through your mental bond?”

Napa sighed, “Cause we had a fight and he’s blocked me off, and because he’s found the pod and he is working on getting the thing up and running again…and when he’s fixing something his mind tends to get…blurry to me.”

“Maybe that’s because you’re so technologically dumb?” Vegeta asked his voice icy. “You can do what ever the hell you want…I’m going home to ride this storm out…but in the morning I’ll be leaving…hopefully you’ll be dead before the sun rises.”

“YOU…” Napa snarled, snatching the prince up by the front of his shirt. “Do you know what you’re acting like?”

Vegeta spluttered, his tail coming unwound from his waist to sag behind him in fright.

“You’re acting JUST like FURIZA…the only difference is, you don’t hit anyone!” Napa growled.

Angry brown eyes locked on Napa’s, “I have no love for traitors.”

“YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW IF KAKKAROT WORKS FOR FURIZA! YOU’VE NO PROOF WHAT - SO - EVER!”

“I have my dream, that is enough!” Vegeta hissed.

Muttering under his breath, he tossed Vegeta to the ground. “You’re going to come with me…Raditzu has found Kakkarot’s space pod…he is going to figure out where Kakkarot came from. You’ll see…Kakkarot is nothing more dangerous than a handsome man in heat.”

Vegeta fell silent, seeming to consider what Napa was saying. “I will come…” He stood from the littered floor and made for the door. “Prove me wrong.”

Napa hesitated for a moment before following his prince. “That was far too easy,” He muttered to himself, watching the prince’s silken tail curl back around a narrow waist. Stepping out into the humid afternoon, they took to the sky streaking a fast track north towards old Grandpa Gohan’s house.

`
`
`
“Its really coming down out there! OH! LOOK! It’s HAILING!” Gohan exclaimed leaning over a panel of instruments to look out the pod’s small portal which had begun to fog up.

Raditzu looked up from what he was doing, his nose scrunching up. “Hail? You mean that isn’t more snow?”

“Snow?” Gohan looked back at his uncle, confused for a second. “Not all frozen water is snow!”

“Hn…” Raditzu grunted, switching off a few more buttons and turning on a few more. “What ever it is, it’s cold as hell out there the external thermometer is pegged at 40 degrees.”

“Ohhh! Maybe it’ll snow!”

“If it starts to snow, we’ll fly back towards our house, we can’t stay out in conditions that cold when the ship isn’t fully operational. The hall would freeze.” Raditzu told the cub, trying to pull the cub away from the window to sit back in his lap. “Don’t stand like that please, it makes it hard for me to work.”

“But Uncle Raditzu!”

“Shhh…my systems checks are almost done….”

CRACK!

Raditzu nearly banged his head against the over head lighting. “What the hell was that?” He grumbled, running another operations check.”

“It’s the hail! Raditzu! You’ve gotta see how big its getting! OHHHHH It’s raining harder!” He cried climbing to his feet once more in Raditzu‘s lap.

A steady clanging started up as chunks of ice the size of baseballs began to pound the ground relentlessly. “Fuck!” Raditzu cursed, raising the shields even though they were not at full operational strength. “That ought a hold them off for a bit…”

“A TREE JUST FELL OVER!”

“Gohan!” Raditzu growled, forcing Gohan to sit in his lap once more, “Aren’t little kids supposed to be afraid of storms? I was afraid of ‘em at your age!”

“Why would I be afraid! This is SOOOO COOOLLLL!!!!”

“Flight systems are nominal…” Raditzu muttered to himself, “Maybe we should fly back home now? Hn….what’s this?”

CLLLLLLLLLANNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG!

Gohan gave a frightened cry, leaping back from the window to cling to Raditzu.

“Oh SHIT!” Warning sirens were buzzing, a red light flashing. “Our shield failed…fuck!” Looking out the window, he saw the reason for the earsplitting noise and for their shield’s failure. “A tree…” He growled almost as if he were trying to curse the tree for it’s existence upon this planet.

`
`
`

“This is insane! We ought to turn back!” Vegeta cried over the growl of thunder and the hiss of rain. They had flown strait into a squall, “We can’t see anything!”

“I don’t care!” Napa shouted back, locking a massive hand over the prince’s wrist dragging him towards the miserable looking shack that was Goku’s secret living quarters. Landing before the dwelling, Napa glanced inside hoping to find Goku hunkered down, hiding his ki. There was no one inside and the larger man Growled in frustration. “He must’ve gone back to his harpy of a ningen wife…”

“Kakkarot…” Vegeta growled, “That IDIOT! When I find him, I’m going to tie his tail into knots!”

“We aren’t looking for Kakkarot! Come on! Raditzu’s ki isn’t far from here!” Thunder light the rain drenched field revealing melting hail and a flood of water flowing done hill across the front lawn. Napa flared his ki, hoping to be able to see further than fifty feet in any direction. “I think he is over that ridge.” ~Fuck Raditzu! Why the hell have you closed your mind off to me?~

~HELP~

Napa’s eyes widen, ~Raditzu?~ Taking to the air he felt fear hammer his heart. The wind was growing worse, was this the tornado that blue haired witch spoke of? Pushing his way forward against a wind that was blowing the rain almost sideways into his face, Napa searched franticly for a more precise location. Raditzu’s ki felt faint and frightened.

“YOU IDIOT!” Vegeta cried after Napa trying to keep up with the balding warrior as he shot through the dark afternoon. “YOU’RE GOING TO GET YOURSLF KILLED! GET YOUR TAIL BACK HERE! THAT FLEE BAG IS NOT WORTH DYING FOR!”

Growling Napa ignored his prince, eyes busy scanning the forest below. His unborn child was in danger, his MATE was in danger. Kakkarot’s cub was in danger, where the hell were they? Stopping, he winced as something hard and cold slammed into his shoulder. Looking up at the angry sky, he realized that rocks of ice had begun to fall from the clouds.

~Here! Down here in the valley!~

Raditzu’s voice was frantic and Napa’s eyes snapped to the valley he could see a hundred yards to his right when yet another bolt of light flickered across the sky. Ignoring the pain of being battered by the speeding chunks of ice, he darted through the skies. Noting almost instinctively that the wind had died down, he dropped into the valley.

“NAPA!” Vegeta brought an arm up to shield his eyes from the rain, a scowl on his face. “You jack ass! You…”

Napa tuned the prince out, his eyes snapping up to the northern end of the valley where his mate‘s ki was resting. Trees were being uprooted and tossed aside as if by an invisible giant on the ester side of the small ravine. Dirt and rain and leaves began to whirl upwards and Napa’s eyes went wide. He remembered quite clearly seeing something like this before back on the home world.

“A cyclone…”

He felt in his heart that his mate had seen it too for Raditzu’s fear had intensified to a sharp edge, cutting through Napa like a razor blade. Feeling Vegeta’s hands upon him, trying to hold him back, he forgot about all his duties to the royal house, about his oath to protect the prince from everything to include himself…his mate was the only thing that he could see. His mate sitting in a small pod, Gohan in his lap, stuck under a tree and in the path of a moving monster.

“RAIDUTZU! NO! GOD! YOU SON OF A BITCH! YOU LEAVE MY MATE ALONE OR SO HELP ME GOD! I’LL COME UP THERE MYSELF AND GUT YOU, YOU HEAR ME GOD!?” He roared, flinging himself towards the unprotected vessel he flared his ki higher than he had ever raised it before, feeling his mate’s energy combine with his and make him stronger. Landing upon the pod’s top, he kicked the tree away, eyes locking on the approaching whirlwind. He could already feel the winds tearing at him, wanting to blow him over like it was doing to the trees.

Leaping off of the pod, he crouched to wrap his arms around the middle, trying with all his might to lift it from off of the ground. Muscles began to pop and creak but he ignored the pain trying harder to lift the dead weight of the space ship.

~You idiot! Let go! LET GO! I can open the door and get out!~

“FINAL FLASH!” The valley filled with light once more but not from the lightening that had begun to intensify over head. The blast of blue ki streaked by Napa and he snarled like a mindless animal, his muscles at their limit.

Drawing upon more of his energy, Napa gave a pained bellow and hoisted the ship off of the ground and onto his shoulders as Atlas proudly did as the Greek tighten of the earth. Blasting off, Napa somehow made it into the skies and out of the valley.

Turning, Napa was both stunned and a little disturbed to see that there was no more cyclone plowing its way through the forest. Looking above, he gapped at a blue patch of sky that shown through a hole in the clouds. The rain had even stopped falling, as if the prince’s ki had frightened the clouds into cooperating with their needs.

“Damned…energy blast…took almost all my energy to…burn those clouds off…” Vegeta gasped, flying over the edge of the cliff to land below Napa’s feet. “Hey you idiot…you can put that down now.”

Napa suddenly felt his energy sap from him and he found himself crashing towards earth, the pod now pressing against his back, speeding his decent towards the ground. Closing his eyes tightly, he gave up one final prayer. “Oh god, please forgive me, what I said earlier…I was under a great deal of stress.”

“Gotcha!”

The large Saiyan grunted as he impacted the soft muddy ground.

“That was a close one!”

Napa slowly sat up, realizing that he hadn’t been crushed by a big honking space pod. “What the…?” He let his eyes travel up to where the pod seemed to hover.

“Nifty gadget, huh?” Napa’s eyes traveled to another floating object, this one appeared to be some sort of vehicle. “I can make anything at all float with this! Just aim, shoot and pow…you’ve got yourself a floating object!” Sitting inside of the car was a blue haired woman, a huge smile upon her lips. “I thought you would go out looking for your mate…and I thought that you’d get yourself into trouble so I followed you…I didn’t want my research projects to get killed.”

“Tch…” Vegeta grunted the skies opening up once more, rain pouring over them like a great waterfall. “I HATE RAIN! Why the hell am I out here again?”

“Come on! The meslocyclone rate is still high! That tornado won’t stay gone for long! We’ve gotta get out of here!” Bulma shouted down at the prince and his bodyguard.

Vegeta took to the air, glowering down at Napa, “This is one order you’d better follow you retard…lets go…lets get the FUCK out of here before someone gets killed.”

Napa nodded and jumped into the air after his prince, following the hover crr up and away from the forest and back towards the south east.

`
`
`

“You are the three LUCKIEST people I’ve ever known.” Bulma said upon exiting her vehicle. “What the hell were you doing out there?”

Napa looked to the pod which sat not far away, the door slowly opening to reveal his long haired lover and the cub he was holding. He wasn’t sure if he wanted to talk of this, especially in front of the prince.

“You big…stupid…” Raditzu growled, setting Gohan down near Bulma. Stalking up to his mate, he punched the bald warrior hard across the jaw, catching him off guard. Grabbing him by the front of his drenched shirt, he yanked him back up to press him against the side of the hover car. “If you EVER do something that dumb again…” He burst into tears, wrapping his arms around Napa’s shoulder. Leaning into the other, he kissed his mate passionately.

~Kami Raditzu, not in front of the cub and that woman…you’re going to start something we can’t finish here.~ Napa sent to his mate even as he groaned and wrapped his arms around Raditzu as if to keep him pressed against his body.

Raditzu pulled away and growled, putting a hand to the vivid bruise upon his cheek. “You think I’m going to forgive you for what you did to me earlier? This doesn’t make up for it…so don’t even think about it!” Raditzu turned from his mate to regard a rather fascinated looking Bulma. “What was I doing out there? I was looking for Kakkarot’s ship…now I’ve got it…so thanks for you intervention. You may very well have saved our lives. Thanks.”

“Not a problem…I guess…” Bulma said, looking at the three drenched Saiyans who were staring at her as if she were intruding. “But If I were you I would head further south…that storm is moving this way…I’m going towards Chichi’s house to warn her…I think Goku may be there too…she called me earlier and said that she wanted me to get Gohan back from you to bring home since her family was whole again.”

“That idiot…” Vegeta grumbled. “Raditzu, get your ass back in that pod and fly it over to that bitch’s house. We’ll fly behind you…Napa! Get the cub, he looks frightened…and you.” He pointed at Bulma, glowering. “You’re coming with us to look after the brat while we take care of business.”

“HEY!” She cried, putting her hands upon her hips. “You can’t just tell people what to do! Stop acting as if you’re a king or something.”

Vegeta chuckled, a frown still on his face. “I AM a king…do as I say or I will kill you.”

Bulma blanched and put her hands up before her. “Hey, what ever you wish, it’s my command your highness.” She quickly hopped back into her hover car and put it into drive.

Vegeta glowered at Raditzu who gave him a questioning glance. “Do as I say, Raditzu…”

Not a word was spoken on the flight towards the ‘harpy’s house,’ but Raditzu could tell just by the frown on his Prince’s face that Vegeta had become pensive and slightly angry. Watching the control panels, careful to monitor all the systems that could fail after years of inactivity, he maneuvered the pod’s course to one that took him above his mate and his friends. What ever was going to happen between Goku and Vegeta, Raditzu knew it was going to happen here. Putting the plain onto autopilot, he began to examine the memory file he had ran across. It was curious. The program was a recording of some sort but it wasn’t part of the main ship’s programming.

Opening the file, he was surprised to see the face of his birth father appear on the screen. “Daddy?” He whispered, tears coming to his eyes.

“Hello! I’m not sure of what to say to you, I hope whomever is watching this is my cub Kakkarot. For this was meant for you. You’re probably wondering who I am…I am Toma Son of Daikon, father of Kakkarot and Raditzu, Mate of Bardoc son of Oni‘. I am your father Kakkarot.” Raditzu watched the program in awe, seeing the tears in his mother’s eyes and the sad smile. He never remembered his mother looking so sad, his mother had always been a very cheerful person, what could have happened to make him so upset? “I am sorry if I cry, I am just thinking about you my cub, of how you must look as you watch this. I hope you’re all grown up and with cubs of your own. I am hoping that you’re still alive and safe from Furiza. More than anything else, I hope my genetic engineering has worked and you now hold all the memories of our planet.”

Raditzu watched as his mother began to openly weep, something that the brilliant scientist rarely did. “Because you’re our last hope. If you remember everything, if my calculations are correct…then you must know that there is an evil creature out there by the name of Furiza, and that he has taken control of our whole race. We are nothing more than slaves now. Kakkarot, you must save your people and become their king.”

Bardoc stepped within view of the camera as he wrapped his arms around his mate, trying to comfort. After a few seconds Toma continued, “A little over a year ago, our King, King Vegeta, committed suicide after the slaughter of his queen, Ichigo. The prince was kidnapped along with your older brother, Raditzu and his mate Napa. We are expecting the worst, that they are all dead and there is no longer an heir to the thrown. As it were, it doesn’t matter, Furiza has placed one of his minions amongst our people to act as our new king. Martial law is in affect and we live in fear that one day the false king will order our family’s execution because of our roll in the resistance. Many in our faction have tried, but all have failed, to overthrow the evil creature. I am afraid we are near the end of days. That brings me to the reason of this recording.”

Silence fell again as Toma quietly sobbed, his face turned away from the camera. Bardoc continued, his voice soft and shaky with emotions he would never let himself express, “ Your mother and I think that it would be best to send you off world where you will be safe from Furiza’s corruption until you grow up. If we are to be executed for our loyalty to the house of Vegeta, at least you shall live on to avenge our deaths.”

Toma scrubbed at his eyes before he summoned the strength to speak once more. “The genetic sequence that I created for you has not only endowed you with the knowledge of your past, but that of your future as well. Come puberty, you will know you’re destination and you will leave the planet you have grown up on to find Furiza. You will kill him and return home to us. At that time you will become our king. Do not worry my cub, you are strong enough to defeat him. I have imbued you with the strength, speed and courage you will need. Train hard, you will be the one to reach the legendary. I could not program the memories of my love into the sequence…I have failed you in that area. So I must tell you here…how much we…” The image began to break up and there were sounds of shouts in the background. “They’ve found us! It can’t be Bardoc! I was careful! Put him in the pod and send him off! OH Kakkarot! My cub…We love you so much….make us proud.“ Suddenly the interference cleared and before the camera’s lens, the view began to move and the image of his parents began to shrink and grow distance as if the camera was flying away from them.

Before the image broke up completely, Raditzu recognized the town square that lay just outside of his parent’s tumble down house—the camera must have been affixed to the pod. From the southern end of the grassy square, a large white ki blast shot with deadly accuracy, blowing through the fleeing mates and their house.

“NO!” Raditzu exclaimed, the recording ending. “No…no…” He felt the tears fall down his cheeks but could do nothing to help it. Crumpling in upon himself, he put his hands to his stomach. He had always dreamt of returning home to find his parents still living in the same old house…of returning home and showing his mother and father their newly born grandson…or maybe if he were blessed, he would have a daughter… “No…” He hardly noticed that the landing light had turned on as the autopilot prepared to set the pod down.

“They gave their lives…” He whispered tearfully, “So Kakkarot could be free? So he could kill that beast?” He felt so hurt and lost. He wanted to hate Kakkarot, if that brat had never been born…maybe his parents would still be alive…but…

The pod door opened and he looked up at his mate and began to cry harder. Why was life so god damned unfair? Everything he loved, everything had been taken away from him! His life on his home world, his first child, his prince’s innocents, now his parents. Why was he even still alive? There was nothing left to return home to, what was the point to life now? Before he had had some glimmer of hope for the future. “Napa…” He sobbed, feeling his mate’s arms wrap around him and pull him from the pod.

“Shhh, it’s okay.” Napa whispered, holding Raditzu close and stroking his hair. “Lets go inside now…”

“No no…” Raditzu whispered shaking his head. “I don’t want to look at Kakkarot now…”

Vegeta growled from where he stood, Bulma at his side. “It’s dangerous out here, Raditzu. I order you to go inside you idiot…before you get yourself killed.” Bulma moved to knock at the door, while Vegeta came to stand by his friends and adopted parents. “Come on Raditzu…” He put a gentle hand on Raditzu’s arm, tugging him towards the house.

“But the pod…” Raditzu exclaimed trying to break free from his mate and his prince to return to the pod. He wanted to see the video again, to see his mother’s tearful face at the very least. Maybe what he had seen had been a trick of the eye? Maybe they had escaped? They could still be alive! His bond with his parents had weakened so much over the years and had been almost completely gone by the time had bonded with Napa. It was possible that they were alive! He would never know because he could not feel his parent’s minds in his as he had when he was young.

“The pod will still be there when the storm is over…” Napa reassured his mate.

Bulma turned to the others. “She’s not answering the door…maybe we should but the door in?” She suggested unsure of what to say or do. She knew nothing of what was going on between the three Saiyans but she knew it was making her feel extremely uncomfortable.

“Vegeta…my prince, you at least must see the video…it clears your mate…he didn’t come from Furiza’s ship! There is no way!” Raditzu exclaimed, managing to break free of Napa’s hold long enough to twist out of Vegeta’s grasp. Charging towards the capsule, he ducked in once more and turned the recording back on, modifying the file to play as a three dimensional hologram.

“Hello! I’m not sure of what to say to you,” The recording started and Vegeta’s eyes at once snapped to the image of Toma standing almost as real as life upon the rain moistened grass. “I hope whomever is watching this is my cub Kakkarot. For this was meant for you. You’re probably wondering who I am…I am Toma Son of Daikon, father of Kakkarot and Raditzu, Mate of Bardoc son of Oni‘. I am your father Kakkarot…

Napa glanced to his mate as Toma finished his speech and Bardoc was rendered into a three dimensional shape to wrap his arms around Raditzu‘s mother., “A little over a year ago, our King, King Vegeta, committed suicide after the slaughter of his queen, Ichigo….

“This isn’t made up…” Vegeta whispered stepping closer to the holograms, “I remember once…your mother and father visiting the castle…they looked just like these two. Also…only a handful of men knew of my mother‘s birth name, and even fewer were aloud to utter it.”

Bardoc continued, “Your mother and I think that it would be best to send you off world where you will be safe from Furiza’s corruption until you grow up. If we are to be executed for our loyalty to the house of Vegeta, at least you shall live on to avenge our deaths.”

So I must tell you here…how much we…” The hologram flickered and disappeared

“Oh shit…” Raditzu rushed to turn the program off know that trying to render more than one or two people in three dimension would crash the computer.

“T-That was my mom and dad?”

All eyes snapped towards the house, and Vegeta began to growl. Goku was standing in the house, partially hidden behind the door frame and the door itself. The only thing that was visible was his battered face. He wore more bruises than Raditzu did, his left eye swollen shut and colored black, his lip busted and still slightly bleeding.

Bulma gasped, “W-what happened to you?” She whispered in horror, her hand covering her mouth.
