Hilde woke to the bell ringing in the ship yard. A new ship was entering the harbor. She felt strong arms clasp around her as she moved and a soft voice whispered in her ear.
"Where do you think you might be going?"
"A new ship is coming into the harbor." she said to him.
He kissed her neck pulled her close to him. "I thought maybe we'd make love again."
"Hmm." She leaned up and kissed him as his hands slid down her body, touching every sensitive part she had. She moaned as he continued. He leaned down under the blankets to her breasts and took one into his mouth, teasing the nipple. She arched her back, allowing him to take more. His fingers slid down farther touching her center just as voices came into the house.
Hilde sat up, causing Duo to pull way and fall on the floor.
"What the hell?!" he exclaimed.
"Captain Maxwell!" came the shout from downstairs.
Duo frowned at Hilde and stood. "How the hell did they get in?" He muttered. He pulled his clothes on and went down stairs.
Hilde sighed and dressed, following him down.
She came into a room with several of Duo's men, milling around. Several stopped and tipped their hats to her. She was considered Duo's woman/ wife. They gave her respect just like they would him.
Trowa nodded at her and turned to Duo.
"They say the pirate is in the area. He's looking for you. What should we do?"
"Has he come here?"
"We are unsure. We don't know who his spys are."
Duo nodded. "Keep me informed." He turned to Hilde as the men left the h. "H. "Hilde, this could be trouble for the town. Can you keep your eyes open at the Rusty Nail, tonight?"
"Aren't you coming?"
"No, " he said as he looked around the room. "I’m going to see if I can find Heero and ....."
He paused , then turned back to her. "Hilde."
She looked up at him. "Becareful, Duo." She whispered
He frowned as he stepped across the room. "Do you think I would do something foolish to end all this?"
She shook her head as he wrapped his arms around her crushing her to his chest. "I'm not that foolish. We just need to be rid of Zechs so we can live in peace."
She nodded as she leaned into his chest.
He ruffled her hair and said, softly, "I love you, Hilde."
"I love you, too, Duo."

Zechs Marquise held the glass to his eye, scanning the small town in front of him. He scratched his chest. "You will pay, Maxwell." He mumbled to himself.
"Captain how do you know he is here. How do you even know if he's still living."
Oh, he's alive and he is here. He has a woman here. We find her we find him. "
The first mate nodded then turned back to his captain. "What do you want us to do, Captain?"
"Send a few men out and sneak about . Find Maxwell.."
Zechs looked over the town again. then stepped back. They would pay for harboring Maxwell and any of his friends. He waved to his men to ready the cannons.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hilde stood in her kitchen and watched Duo walk from the house. She had a bad feeling about all of this. She shivered. She Gathered her shawl and wrapped it around her shoulders. It was getting time for her to go to work. As she stepped from the house, several men approached her.
"Mizz Hilde." One slurred at her.
She stepped back to her house, a bit afraid of these sailors.
"I....."
"Captain Duo sent us to get you. He needs you to come to his ship."
Hilde stepped back further into the house. Warning bells rang in her head. "I'm sorry, I can't come."
She slammed the door and leaned against it. She then ran to the open windows and started to pull the shutters closed. The men were milling around the house, pounding on the closed windows and the doors.
"You must come. Captain Zechs wants to meet the woman that will ...."
"GO AWAY!" She screamed. The pirate was here. She stood in the center of her living room and listened. Suddenly there was a loud booming noise and Hilde gasped. The cannons! He was using the cannons! The floor shook as She ran toward the door. She had to find Duo! The pirate was laying siege to her home!
When she flung open the door, the yard was empty. She looked out and ran down the street.

Duo Hurried to the flop house he knew Heero would be at. He grinned Heero had hooked up with a woman of irriputiable reputation. He ran up the steps to his room two at a time. He rapped softly. A woman called for him to come in. He pushed open the door and stepped in. Heero was sitting at a small table eating something. Duo was unsure what it was. He nodded at the woman who smiled at him.
"Good morning ,Relena. Heero."
"Maxwell."
"We have a problem. The pirate is here."
"Hm. That is a problem. Shall I gather some men?"
Duo nodded. "I'm going to my ship and get all those I can spare."
Heero nodded as Duo turned to leave. "What of Hilde?"
Duo frowned. He looked at Heero and opened his mouth to make a comment, but Heero interrupted.
"Do you think Zechs will leave her be? He will send someone to find her."
Duo bolted out the door and was gone.
Relena looked at Heero.
"Heero?"
"Do not leave this apartment, Relena. No matter what happens. Lock this door behind me and open it for no one but me." He grasped her shoulders and said. "No one but me. No matter what they say to you."
She nodded and gulped. He Pulled her into his arms and kissed her swiftly. Then he was gone.
She locked the door behind him, then closed the shutters to the windows.

Duo was out in the street when the building a few houses to his right exploded in a shattered mess of stone and wood.
"The bastard!" Duo grumbled under his breath. He hurried down the street toward Hilde's little house. He saw her running toward him and he quickly caught up with her.
He pulled her to him, kissed her, and asked, "Are you all right?"
" Yes. The pirate's men were at the house. "She said breathlessly after he released her from the heartwarming kiss he had given her.
He pulled her back and asked, "How did you escape?"
She grinned, "The pirate himself. The cannons made them run off." She looked up at him. " I left the house to find you."
"Hm. Come on ! Let's get to the Rusty Nail! Heero should be there. I have to go to the ship and Find Trowa."
She nodded as he pulled her along. "Duo! Let me fight with you! Please!"
He turned and looked at her. "No, Hilde. I don't think that would be a good Idea."
"Duo! Please!" She pleaded. "I can you know!"
"I...NO! You can't! I won't let you!"
"Duo!"
"No, Hilde. I don't want you endangering yourself. It's not necessary. There will be plenty of men."
Hilde looked at the ground as he continued to pull her along. She grinned slightly, knowing what she would do.

Zechs grinned as he watched his men load up another round in the cannons. They had barraging the town
for several hours. Several buildings were in shambles. The mayor had come once to office him all the money in the town's coffers. Zechs laughed and told him, he would come and get the money anyway. It would not deter him from getting Maxwell, even if it ment the end of this retched little hole.
The mayor slunk back to his home and started to pack his belongings. There was no way he had the authority to make Maxwell give himself to the Pirate. Only the constable could do that and he was no where to be found. He only hoped that Maxwell and the other sailors had a plan, or they were doomed.

Hilde watched from the back room, as the men sat and made plans to attack the ship.
She looked at the old steamer trunk in the corner. She went over and unlatched it and opened it lowly. She knew what was in it. Mac( the bartender) had put it in here years ago, saying 'you never know when an extra change of clothes would come in handy'.
She looked through the men's clothes in the trunk and smiled. She would help Duo even if he didn't want her help. she had the clothes, now she needed a weapon.
Hilde placed the clothes on the small cot and stood. She would change after they all left. She headed ard ard the curtain and pushed it open. She quickly went to the bar and stood. Duo stood and shook hands with several of the men. Some stood and left. He shook hands with Heero as he got up and left, with his group of men.
Duo looked around the bar until he saw Hilde. He pushed his way through the crowd and stood beside her.
"Hilde." Duo said as he grasped her hand.
She looked up at him ,but said nothing.
"Hilde." He said, with more urgency.
She smiled at him and said "Good Luck. I love you."
He looked at her and blinked. "No arguments, no kicking and screaming? Are you really my Hilde?"
She smiled and said, " Of course, Duo. I'll help behind the scenes."
One of the waitresses snickered.
Hilde glared at her.
smi smiled and leaned down and kissed her. "Love you, babe. I'll be back soon."
She watched him leave , then turned to change her clothes.
