Chapter 4
Hello~! Like I promised here is chapter 4! ^^ Hope that you wont find it to long...Oh and before I continue! I had this question, darkstar92 asked me if Ray would get older throuthout the story. Dear, eventually he will! I can't let Ray young, Kai wont go out with a kid, now don't you think? And I kinda want to have some yaoi in here, you know, real actual lemon scenes XD Don't worry, Ray will get older, but not in the near chapters, in a couple of chaps, but he will! ^-^

Chapter 4: Star Festival (part 2)

"Ho ho!! Your clothes are all thorned, come here." Mariah took Ray's hand as she walked him to her room.
"You don't have to worry, I like your name, Ray" Mariah smiled as she took out some tissue to make Ray some new clothes. "My mom once told me the legend of the warrior god Kon Ray, who killed all demons from this world. And with my child heart, I admired him."
"Me, I don't know anything..." Ray looked at Mariah who kneeled down infront of Ray and took his measurments.
"Ray..." Mariah saw how sad Ray looked.
"Even in Kai's village, they told me all the time that I was bad luck, but...I don't understand. They also said that if I staid there, there would be some bad things that would happen..."
"It's not ture."
"But they said that I was worthless."
"To say that in the world there are people who are worthless is not true. There are people who can only do bad things, but you, Ray, you are different." Mariah smiled.
"In what?" Ray askeed as Mariah was finished making his new clothes.
"Well, for one you are able to make me happy." Mariah smiled as she threw away the old clothes. "We just met I know, but I can't stop feeling so happy when I am with you. You see, there is one person here who needs you."
Ray suddenly started shaking his head furiously from left to right.
"That means you don't believe me?" Mariah sweatdropped at Ray antics. "Ray is a nice name but not as much as mine." Mariah started laughing.
"Mariah?" Ray asked, wanting to know more about her name and why it was better.
"Yes! It's the name of a goddess of dance, it's a bit of a show off." She laughed again, "but it's the leader of this troup who have it to me."
"Your father?"
"Well...My father sold me to this troup when I was 15, that's all." She laughed once more. "Here, it's finished. You are way cuter like that, Ray." Mariah said when she was finished putting everything away.

"Why are you taking care of us?" Kai asked as Mariah came out ot join him.
"Do I need a reason?" She smiled cutely but it didn't affect him at all, "Actually, I have a crush on you."
"You do know who I am to say that?" Kai looked at her without caring, he didn't like her and he didn't care if she did.
"You are Hiwatari Kai, sub-lutenant of Boris-ten, general of the north of the troups of the emporror. The warrior god the most powerful of the Tenkai. And also now a being searched by the emperial troups."
Kai was somewhat surprised to see how much Mariah knew about him but he didn't let it show; the woman also continued to speak as well.
"It was 6 years ago at the star festival for lady Kishou-ten, I was there. The best dancer of the year dances the night after the festival, it was my mother. I was also in the troup that time and that was then I saw you. And from then on I couldn't stop thinking about you. And for real, I wasn't thinking seeing you again before the star festival."

Ray smiled as he twerled around, looking at his reflection in the water as he smiled. He was suddenly pulled away from his admeration as the bush behind him rustled and the kid from before was there.
"I...I was wrong...And since I am scared of angring Mariah...We..." He was blushing madly, "We...we should have peace...be friends..."
"Me too! Me too! You know Hiwatari Kai?" An other kid from nowhere suddenly appeared from behind the other one. An other one went and hugged Ray.
"It's wonderful, they say that Hiwatari Kai has the strongest sword of all the Tenkai!"
"And he's the chosen one for Mariah!"
"Chosen one?" Ray popped in the converstaion that the kids had started without him.
"When Mariah was little, she saw Hiwatari Kai at the star festival and she could never forget him. Since then she has been waiting to see him again."
"It would be cool if she could see him again." (N/A: They don't know that Kai is the same Kai who's with Ray, cause they haven't seen him yet.)
"All goes well, this year it's Mariah who's going to dance at the star festival."
Ray sat in the middle, wondering what the hell they were talking about.

"I didn't even know who you were. I asked the person beside me, she told me "it's Hiwatari Kai"...since then I couldn't stop loving you..." Mariah smiled, blushing somewhat.
"I don't know you." Kai answered coldly as he turned around.
"Oh, we don't care about that!" She waved it oof, smiling stupidly. "I dicided that if I fell in love with someone that I wold cherish that man and base my life only on him forever. I don't want to end like my mom who didn't get to marry the man she loved. So she married herself to her second choice and lived a miserable life, a very miserable life."
Kai sat down, closing his eyes. 'God that girl talks a lot.'
"He made her dance until she died from it. And me, like he had money problems he sold me to this troup. Well, it's a stupid sotry really. Because of that I really want to continue to love the first man I fell in love with. And what more, I would not have the will to compair him to an other one, even if he's the most stupid one ever; I wouldn't know that!"
Kai sweat-dropped at what she said. kai stood from where he was seated and walked off; speaking over his shoulder. "If you don't want to die, do not take care of us."
"Oh well, it's okay! To die for someone you love...it's my most cherished dream." Mariah smiled as she watched Kai walk away.

"Kai..."
Kai looked up from where he was seated leaning on a tree as Ray made his way closer to him. It was night by now and both had gone away further for the night.
"We are leaving tomorrow morning." Kai said as he pulled Ray on his lap.
"No way!" Ray protested, "this troup is -" Ray was cut off by Kai who cuddled him closer to his chest.
"This troup has been sent by Lord Voltaire to Kishou-ten. You don;t care if this girl is killed?" Kai asked, talking about Mariah which Ray had come to have a liking to.
"One more day...Just one more..." Ray pleaded softly as he rested on Kai, about to fall asleep.
-----------(the next day)----------------
"We need way more Ray." Mariah smiled as Ray ran off once more to get more flowers.
They were getting the stuff they needed for the star festival, Ray and Mariah picking flowers in the most wonderful flower feild Ray had ever seen.
"They will be for the star festival tomorrow."
"Erm..." Ray stopped and looked up at Mariah.
"What's wrong?" She smiled won at him.
"Mariah, you like Kai?"
"Yes, even though he will probably never love me, I will love him for us both." She smiled. "You too Ray, I like you. You're like a baby racoon." She started to laugh.
"I am not a racoon!! I am not a racoon, I am not a racoon!!" Ray started to hit her but not hard.
"And the more you get angry the more you look like a racoon." she laughed some more as Ray continued to hit her.
"To get me excused, I would like to give you this." She took out the golden pin from her hair with a rupee in the middle and placed it at Ray's pony-tail-base. "Sorry. And it's as well for you not to forget me if we are seperated." She smiled and hugged Ray who smled and hugged back.
Their moment was suddenly crashed when a spear apeared right beside, almost hitting them. Emperial guards apreaded from the forest that was bording the flower feild.
"What do you want!?" Mariah screamed at them, getting Ray behind her.
"Give us that child." The guard ordered.
"No way!"
"This child is the last one to live from that bad luck blood line. Order from the emporror, give that child to us!"
"NO!"
Not leaving any more options fro the guards, they decided to take Ray by force; attacking them both.
"Mariah!" Ray screamed as the girl was wrapped with some binds, unabling her to move.
"Don't stay there! Idiot! Wake-up Ray! Run! Run away!" She screamed at Ray who was not moving from where hw was.
The guard, wanting Mariah to shut up, brought her up against him and pressed his blade against her neck.
That action angered Ray and just like the last time, his eyes became vivid of emotions and fire circled his body. With a wild scream Ray shot fire at the guards who fell down, burnt to death.
"Ray!" Mariah was shocked, the caring Ray she knew was now killing guards by burning them and actually enjoyed it.
Ray burnt the bind that was holding Mariah and she fell to the ground as the guard pulled away from the intence heat.
"Ray!"
It wasn't long though before the guard was infront of the defenceless Ray and striking at him with his blade.
The blade stopped right vefore reaching Ray's forhead as the guard was suddenly cut in half; Kai appearing behind the remains of the bloody bodies.
"Ray." He said softly.
Ray's eyes slowly closed as he tumbled over in Kai's arms, the said on catching him; Ray had lost conchious. With Ray secured in his arms bradel style, Kai started to walk away, leaving Mariah alone.
"Hey! Wait! Where do you think your going!? I am coming too!!" Mariah screamed at Kai.
Kai turned around and glared at her. "You haven't given up yet?"
"Of corse! Since I found my chosen one! And as well, I was really good friends with Ray!"
Kai shrugged and continued to walk away, ignoring the anoying pink head.
"I will follow you no matter what!! When the star festival will be over I will follow you side by side! Do not underestimate women's will power!!" She screamed at them but Kai was to busy ignoring her to listen.

Here is chapter 4 all completed! I don't know if you have noticed but, I put in the title of this chapter part 2, that means that this and the first part aka, chapter 3, was suppose to be chapter 3 all together...Like I got carried away with school and you people who review wanted more, I was nice enought to make more than one chap in one chap...It kinda doesn't make any sence but to me it does! xD Lol. thanks again for all the ones that are revewing on my story! I really apreciate it and it really motivates me to write some more faster! ;) If you know any friends who might be interested in this story please tell them about them, I would like more people to review that would be cool!
