Chapter 46



“Rei-rei!?” Lanfei quickly ran inside the examination room. “My kitten! My baby!” Tears formed in her eyes, she ran to her son and wrapped her arms around him. She began to cry on him. “I am sorry! I swear I will kill him! I will make him pay for what he did to you!”
“Ma it’s alright…I’m alright…” He pulled away from her and looked at her with a small smile. “He has been arrested…”
“But still…what he did…my Rei-rei if only there was some way for me to take away your pain…”
“Ma I am not a baby anymore. I won’t let this affect me. I will get over this.”
“Sweetie.” She looked at him with pain in her eyes.
“I want to check on Tala now.”
“Sure…” She placed her hand on his cheek and only gave a weak smile.




Raul was in the waiting room crying on Mihaeru. The light blond was rubbing the Spanish boy’s back trying to calm him down.
“I should have gone with him…this is my fault. I should have gone with Tala. If I would have gone then I would have been able to call the cops earlier and Tala wouldn’t be hurt.”
“Raul don’t put the blame on yourself, you didn’t know this was going to happen.”
“That fucking bastard!” Takao slammed his fist into the wall.
“Ty please…”
“I am sorry babe…it is just damn him! I should march to that police station and kick his sorry ass!”
“Tyson why don’t you go and get Raul some coffee? Please.” Mihaeru looked at his lover.
“Yeah…alright I’ll be back.” He walked out of the room leaving the two boys alone.




The bluenette made his way toward the elevator and pressed the call button and waited for it to arrive. He sighed and began to look around until he noticed Rei and Lanfei making their way toward him. Takao ran toward them and grabbed the raven hair in a tight embrace giving Rei a bit of a shock.
“I am so sorry…Rei I wish I could take away what you have experienced.”
The raven hair patted Takao on the back.
“It’s alright, you guys don’t need to constantly tell me that. I will get over this.”
The bluenette hugged him tighter and held back the tears that were trying to escape.
“You are a tough one buddy, but if you need anything I will always be here for you.”
“Thank you Tyson.”
He pulled away from the hug and gave a small smile.
“How is Raul?” The raven hair asked.
“He is really upset…” Takao lowered his head.
“And it’s my fault…”
“No it isn’t! Rei what happened none of it was your fault! Don’t you dare blame yourself!”
“But look at Tala! Look what happened!? Raul is in pain because of me. Tala is who knows how!”
“Kitten…he is fine. He is a strong young man.”
“Ma…I got dad in the hospital, now Tala is in here too! Who’s next? Who else will end up nearly dying in order to protect the baby? I can’t take this anymore! He ruined my life! He…if he just let me live my own life!”
“Rei-rei?” The women placed her hand on Rei’s shoulder as the boy continued to rant.
“Hey I was going to go and get some coffee for Raul. How about you both come with me and get something?” The bluenette looked at them both with a sincere smile.
“I think Rei-rei should just rest…I mean you know. How about it sweetie you want to go lay down?”
“No…you go with Tyson Ma. I will go to Raul.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah” He pulled away and began to walk off.
Lanfei was about to say something but decided to leave her son alone.
‘My little kitten…how much pain are you going through that you do not wish to tell me?’ She felt a weight enter her heart ad she only watched the back of her son.



The raven hair was walking past many of the rooms when he was suddenly stopped when he saw a little girl running out of one of the room. A nurse came out calling for the girl to stop.
“Oh dear…” The nurse said to herself as she went chasing after the girl.
Rei just looked at her and then began to walk off.
The raven hair silently made his way to where Raul and Mihaeru were suppose to be, he felt weak and bitter. He just sighed and ran his hand through his hair.
‘I can’t see Raul…I bet he is furious with me.’ He bit his lower lip as he stopped in his tracks. He leaned against the wall standing next to a roll away bed that was left in the hallway. He rested his head back and closed his eyes as he tried to think for a bit. A few nurses passed by him talking about a missing girl.
‘Huh I guess that little girl is still hiding somewhere.’ He sat down on the floor and just closed his eyes for a bit. He suddenly heard a bit of rustling that made him glance to the bed next to him.
Poking from under the cover was a little girl with a pink beanie on her head. She peeked and gasped as soon as she saw Rei and stuck back inside.
The raven hair only smiled, he lifted the blanket up and peeked inside.
“Hey don’t be afraid. I’m a patient just like you.” He gave her a small smile.
“You are…?”
He nodded.
“Well I am hiding right now, I am playing hide and seek with the nurse lady.”
“Oh I see. Are you sure you are playing or are you scared of what they are going to give you?”
“Both…” She pouted her lip.
“Why?”
“Cause today I need to go in treatment…and that hurts a lot. I don’t want to but my mommy tells me to in order for me to get better.”
‘Treatment? Poor kid…she has leukemia.’ “I’m Rei.” He smiled at her.
“Millie! Do you have any pets?”
“No I don’t but I have a friend who does.”
“ Oh, well I have a doggie. Next week is his birthday.”
“Oh?”
“Yes! His name is Wishbone.”
“Wishbone hey that is cute.”
“ Named after my big sister’s favorite television show.”
“Oh well that is nice.”
“Yeah.”
“So how old is he going to be?”
“He is turning seven!”
“Wow so old.”
“Yeah. He used to belong to my older sister. But she died awhile ago…she killed herself.”
Rei looked at the girl in shock.
“I am sorry…”
“It’s okay. I don’t understand why and I wish I knew but my mommy and daddy never told me. I still don’t know why people want to die…I’m afraid of dying.”
“I don’t know either Millie…just sometimes people end up experiencing way to much in their life that they cannot handle. They think their only way out is by ending their life.”
“But why? Did she not love me, Mommy or Daddy? What about Wishbone did she not love him?”
“I am sorry little one but I cannot answer those. I truly don’t know your sister and her reason, but just you know that she loved you all.”
“If she loved us then why did she ended up hurting us…” The little girl bit her lower lip. “Rei do you have a family?”
“Yes I do. I have a mother and father and they both are loving people.”
“Would you ever hurt them?” She looked at him.
The raven hair was caught off guard and quickly felt the pain strike his heart at the question.
‘Oh Millie you are so young yet you want to know all of these horrible things. I did hurt my parents, I hurt my mother and I nearly killed my father. Now I hurt a friend…how many more will get hurt?’
The little girl got out of her hiding place and sat next to the raven hair. She looked up at him as she watched his sadden feature.
“I’m 7. I am going to turn 8 in two more months.” She said to him.
He looked back at her and noticed her smiling.
“Oh you are such a big girl. I bet you will grow up to be a lovely young lady.”
“I hope so! I want to grow up to be as beautiful as my sister!”
“You will, and you will make her proud.”
“Yeah!” Her smile grew wider making the raven hair give a small one in return.
“Millie there you are!” A voice was heard
They both looked up and saw a young nurse with mid long brown hair looking down at them with a look of relief.
“Millie your parents are worried. Please come back with me.”
“No I don’t want to go! I don’t want the treatment! It will hurt! It always hurts! I want to stay with my new friend!” She began to struggle as the nurse grabbed her by the wrist. Tears began to fall down the child’s face as she continued to struggle.
“Please Millie don’t do this. You are hurting yourself more.” The nurse tried hard to calm the girl down. “Sweetie don’t struggle you are to fragile for this.”
“Let go! I don’t want to go!” She began to yell louder.
Suddenly Rei removed the nurse’s grip and pulled the small child into his arms. The girl clung to him as she began to cry. The nurse only watched as the two embraced.
“Rei don’t let them take me! I want to talk to you more! I want to play with you!”
“Millie you need to go. Your parents are worried.”
“But they are going to force that horrible treatment on me. I don’t want it! It hurts!”
“Little one I cannot say I know how you feel but I can understand that what you go through is no easy task.” He began to rub her small back as she clung tighter to him as she continued to cry. “But you don’t want to hurt your parents do you?”
She pulled away and looked at him with teary eyes, she saw the sincere look in his eyes as he gave her another small smile.
“No I don’t…” She whispered.
“Then you must be strong and you must try your best to get better. If treatment is the only way they believe you can get better then you must do it for them. Do it for Wishbone…do it for your older sister. Millie be stronger then your sister. Show your sister that you will be strong for both her and yourself. She wasn’t strong enough and that is why she took her own life. But Millie you are still here for a reason. You must now be stronger then your sister. You said you don’t want to die right?”
The girl only nodded.
“Then be strong and fight this. Fight your fear of treatment and fight your fear of death. Take the strength your sister has left you and double it inside you.” He placed his hand over her heart and smiled. “Grow up to be that lovely young lady I would love to meet, grow up to see Wishbone grow older, grow up and become the best daughter you can be. Grow up to be that special person you always wanted to be. Grow up to be the person your sister will never get to see. Grow up to be what your sister was never able to be. Grow up to become a strong individual with dreams and hopes.” He smiled at her as he wiped away the tears from her eyes.
“Rei...will you go out on a date with me when I grow up into a young lady?”
The raven hair’s smile grew wider and tears were forming in his eyes.
“Millie it will be an honor to take you out.”
“Thank you!” She smiled and hugged Rei tightly and lightly laughed on him. “Thank you. My sister would have fallen for you. You are the type of guy she always talked about.” She pulled away from the hug and looked up. “You hear that big sister! I got a date! I will do my best to make our mommy and daddy happy!” She looked back at the raven hair. “Bye Rei. Please visit me.”
“You bet I will.” He placed his hand on her head and lightly rubbed it.
She blushed and just smiled once more. She looked up at the nurse and extended her hand.
“Okay…I’m ready.”
The nurse took her hand and they began to walk off. Millie turned around and looked back at Rei who in return gave her a thumb’s up. She smiled and off they went.
The raven hair watched as they disappeared down a hall.
‘You can do it Millie. You are a strong girl. You have it in you.’ He smiled to himself and he slowly stood up. He patted his pants and then he walked away.




“Are you feeling any better now?” Mihaeru asked Raul as the boy hiccupped.
“A little…” He hiccupped once more.
“That’s good. Do you want me to get you some water for those hiccups?” The light blond looked at the Spanish boy who in response nodded. “Alright I will be right back. You just wait here.” He stood from his chair and stepped out of the small waiting room. He began to walk away when he noticed Rei walking toward his direction. Mihaeru ran to the raven hair and gave him a big hug.
“Rei…I am glad you are alright.” The light blonde hugged him tighter.
“Hey Mihaeru…sorry for freaking you guys out again. I guess I am only bad luck to you all huh?”
“Don’t be stupid. I am so relieved you are safe now.” He pulled away from the hug and smiled at Rei.
‘Thanks. Is Raul in there?”
“Yes. I was about to get him some water. You can go and see him, he really can use the company right now.”
“Yeah.” He moved away and headed straight for the room.
Rei stopped at the door entrance and looked inside to see the Spanish boy crying by himself. The raven hair couldn’t help but feel the pain entering his heart once more.
He entered the room and stopped in front of Raul.
“Hey Raul…” He said softly.
The Spanish boy lifted his head and saw the raven hair standing in front of him. More tears poured out and he threw himself into Rei’s arms.
“You are okay! I am so glad!”
Rei pulled him tighter into the hug and rested his head on top f the Spanish boy’s.
“Forgive me Raul. This is because of me.”
“No don’t say that…it isn’t your fault. I told him to go. I made him go by himself, if only I went along…I am a terrible lover to him.”
“Hey don’t say that. If you were a terrible lover he would have dumped you by now.” He lightly chuckled.
“I’m afraid Rei. Afraid that he might not make it.”
“Hey now don’t say that. Tala is a strong guy! You need to have more faith in him. I believe he will pull through.” He pulled away from the hug and looked at Raul with a smile. “He’ll pull through.”
“Rei…” The Spanish boy looked at the raven hair with surprise but then he gave a small smile. “Thank you…”





Two hours passed by and everyone was seated inside the waiting room. Rei sat away from the group as he waited for the doctor to walk in and tell them the news on Tala.
Suddenly the doctor came in. He stood at the entrance and cleared his throat in order to get attention toward him. They all saw him and quickly stood up.
‘Doctor how is he?” Raul quickly ran up to him.
“He is doing well. He only got a few injuries and cuts but nothing critical. He is a strong lad.” The doctor gave them a smile. “You can go see him.”
The Spanish boy quickly ran out of the room followed by everyone else except for Lanfei who stayed to thank the doctor.


“Tala!” Raul ran into the room and he threw himself on top of the red head who was seated in bed.
“Whoa!” The crying boy who was now clingy on him startled the red head. “Hey baby not so rough, I am in pain at the moment.”
“I’m sorry.” He pulled away and lightly blushed. “I’m just so relieved.”
The red head only smiled. He looked up and saw the other three standing looking at him with relief in their eyes.
Tala had bandages wrapped around his head and a few bandages covering his cuts on his face.
“Hey idiot, you aren’t feeling horny anymore?” He smiled at the raven hair. Rei just smiled back and walked up to wrap his arms lightly over the red head.
“Thank you. I don’t know how much I can thank you. Tala I am so grateful but at the same time sorry.”
“Hey don’t be. This isn’t your fault okay so don’t go do anything stupid or else all of my injuries were a waste.” He patted Rei on the back and pulled back. “Now you all better not start crying, I mean come on do you think I am that weak that a few beatings would kill me? Raul I am hurt. Baby I am stronger then you think. Hell those punches and stuff from that asshole are nothing compared to how Kai punches. Now that guy can kill you.” He smiled and pulled the Spanish boy into a kiss. Raul shyly kissed the red head’s swollen lips and rested his head against his chest.
“Come on let’s let him rest.” Takao suggested to the two and they both agreed.
“I’ll be out in a bit.” Raul said to them.
“Just take your time.” Mihaeru smiled at him and they walked out of the room closing the door behind.




“Rei how are you feeling bud?” The bluenette looked over at the raven hair who was only looking up at the sky.
“I am fine. It just feels like a bad nightmare.” He continued to watch the night stars.
“Rei I know you don’t want to even think about what happened but did he?” The light blonde looked at him with a bit of worry.
“No he didn’t. He only touched me but he didn’t get it in me. I still feel dirty but I will get over it. I must. I won’t let something like that ruin me. I am tired of everything now.”
“Rei?” Takao looked at him with confusion.
“Tyson I use to be tough and well I didn’t let anything get to me, but ever since I came to this college and met up with Kai I started to become a fragile child. And that is sickening. I am tired of crying and acting like a baby. I am tired of getting upset for every little thing. From now on I will work hard and succeed in my goal. I won’t let anyone get in my way and I will not be put down any longer. I want to be stronger then before and in order for me to do that I must not rely on anyone but myself. I must grow stronger in order for me to prove to everyone I am not a baby and I can succeed in life.” He looked over at his friends and smiled. “I had enough with my childish acts. From now on you will see a new Rei and this one will not be a push over.”
The two only looked at him in shock but soon they both smiled.
“Alright! That is what I like to here! And buddy we will be behind you all the way!” The bluenette grabbed him in a headlock and began to ruffle his hair.
“Ouch hey Tyson stop that!”
“Hey I thought you said you weren’t going to cry anymore?” He started to laugh as he continued to wrestle the raven hair on the ground.
“You are such a prick!” Rei started laughing and began to fight back.
The light blond just laughed and watched as the two wrestled.
‘That’s my Rei-rei.’ Lanfei was standing behind a tree and smiled as she watched her son goof around with his friends.




The teacher clapped her hands and called out to the class to take a break. She walked away as her class began to walk about and get their towels or drinks.
The dual hair walked over to his bag and pulled out a towel. He wiped away the sweat that was forming on his face. He kneeled down and grabbed his water bottle he took a long drink from it. He placed the bottle down and pulled out his cell phone from his bag. He checked to see if he missed any calls but it was clear. He stood up and walked out with his phone.
‘That guy better not be busy fucking.’ He walked out of the room and looked around the hallway. He walked away from the people who were talking there.
He leaned against a wall and dialed Tala’s number. He waited for an answer.
After a few more rings there was finally an answer but it was not Tala instead it was Raul.
“Um…hi Kai.” He said in a timid voice.
“Where is Tala? Pass me to him now.”
“Uh well Kai he can’t talk now.”
“What the hell are you two doing? Tell him to stop fucking around and pass him to me now.” He said in an irritated voice.
“Kai Tala is right now getting checked up by the doctor at the moment.”
“…What happened?”
“Well…uh when you called uh…Rei he…”
“What happened to Rei!?”
“Uh uh…well Rei he. Tala saved Rei from Boris.”
“What the hell happen?! Just tell me now damn it!!” Everyone in the hall was startled and looked over to where the dual hair was talking.
“Rei he was…Boris broke into his room and he molested him. Tala walked in on them and well he got in a fight with Boris. They fought and Tala was beaten up pretty badly but he is all right now and Rei is doing fine too.”
There was a pause of silence for a bit.
“What happened to that bastard…?” He asked in a deadly whisper.
“He was arrested. I don’t know since that is all I heard.”
“Raul tell Tala I will call in a bit.”
“Okay.”
As soon as they hung up the dual hair slumped against the wall and slid down until he was seated on the floor. He covered his eyes with his hand as he felt tears trying to escape.
‘Damn it! Tala damn it, it is my fault. Rei shit…no this isn’t happening.’






Rei was seated on his couch next to Salima who had her head rested on his shoulder.
It was already the next day around 9 am. The red hair girl arrived at his doorstep at 7 and stayed there until now.
“Rei I am sorry what happened to you.” She whispered as she snuggled closer to him.
“I’m alright Salima.” He tried to pull away but the girl scooted closer.
“No you are not. What that disgusting faggot did to you. He does not deserve to live. I hope they kill him or rape him in jail. He deserves it for what he did to you.”
“I said I am alright okay. So stop bringing it up.” He sighed as the girl snuggled more into him.
“Rei let’s get married now.”
“What?”
“Not now now, but soon. I mean I don’t want you to go through this anymore. And if everyone sees you married a girl then no one will think you are a homo.”
“Salima what the hell is your problem!? My father is still in the hospital. I was nearly raped! My good friend almost got himself killed! And all you think is about that damn wedding!?” He pulled away from her and looked at her in anger.
“I am only trying to protect you! I love you Rei!”
“Shut up! I don’t need your fucking protection! I can take care of myself!”
“Oh yeah it really shows! You can really take care of yourself Rei-rei! See what a great job you have been doing? You lost your virginity to a faggot and you were almost rapped! You say you can protect yourself! Well then why didn’t you try to fight that damn bastard Kai! He is the cause of all of this! He screwed your life, no our life! HE screwed it all up for us! Now look what is happening!” Suddenly she was slapped hard.
The girl sat there in pure shock, she then glanced up to the raven hair and saw him holding his hand and shaking with rage.
“Stop it…just stop it! Salima I don’t want to marry you! You are nothing more then a bitch! I hate you and I hate your fucking family and your attitude! If you truly loved me then you wouldn’t be saying shit like that! I went through a lot! And I did not plan any of those things! You think I am happy for what has happened!?” He looked at her and she saw the anger and pain in his eyes.
“Rei-rei…”
“Don’t call me that! Only my mother has the right to call me that! It makes me sick hearing you say it!”
The girl looked away and soon started sobbing.
“I didn’t mean any of that…I just love you so much…it hurts me seeing you suffer like this.” She said as she continued to cry.
The raven hair only watched her as she continued to cry, then his rage began to fade as he saw how fragile the girl looked.
“Salima…” He reached over to her but his hand was roughly smacked away.
“No don’t! I don’t need your sympathy.” She lifted her head up and looked at his eyes. “I love you.”
“Salima how can you love someone who you never met?”
“We met. We grew up together! You knew this was going to happen! You even promised me on the day when you were granted the scholarship to enter this college. You said to me that you were going to make it big and then you would come back for me and that we would be together forever.” Tears began to stream down.
“I didn’t mean it as marriage. Salima I love you too but as a sister. Nothing more. I said that cause I didn’t want to leave you alone. I grew up loving you but as my own sister. I wanted you to come down here in order to succeed as well, to find a husband who would love you for who you are and not because it was arranged. I am sorry.”
“Rei…”
“Salima please. Don’t make this harder for us.” He was about to pull her in for a hug when she suddenly stood up and looked at him with anger and pain in her eyes.
“I hate you! I hate you for being a faggot! I hate that Kai! He did this to you! I hate him and I wish he were the one in jail! I wish he died right now!!!!” With that she quickly ran out of the room leaving the raven hair alone in his dorm. Rei just sighed and closed his eyes.
‘Why did my life decided to be this complicated. Kai…I need you…’ He leaned back on his chair and ran his hand through his hair. ‘I bet he already got himself a new lover…I bet he has forgotten about me now too…’ he sighed once more tried to prevent the tears from coming.





“Kai relax. I’m fine.”
“Tala this is my fault.”
“Hey now don’t you start blaming yourself too. Anyways you are more like a hero. If it wasn’t for your gut instinct then well Rei would have been rapped so hard.”
“Tala you’re the hero, all I did was forced you to check on him.”
“Hey to me you are a hero. So you cold-hearted bastard don’t feel bad. I am alive only with a few injuries.”
“….”
“Don’t you start crying now. That would seriously freak me out.” He lightly chuckled.
“Asshole.”
“Heh I never knew you cared for me that much. Hell if only you would have confessed your love for me sooner then I could have fucked you good.”
“….”
“Only kidding. Do you want to know how he is doing?”
“Yeah…”
“He is doing fine Kai. He was only felt by that sick prick but he didn’t get a chance to do anything else to him.”
“Thank you.”
“Whatever. You just owe me for making me miss my sex.” He laughed once more making the dual hair smirk.
They were silent for a bit.
“Why don’t you give him a call? If you really are worried Kai give him a call just to see how he is doing.”
“I doubt he wants to even talk to me.”
“Trust me he will be happy once he knows who is calling.”
“….”
“Forget your pride and give him a call. I’ll talk to you later okay.”
“Yeah.”
“Trust me. Before I rescued him I heard him yell stop but also he ended up crying for you Kai. So give him a call, I think it is best if you two talked now. Well then later”
“Yeah sure.”
They hung up.
The dual hair looked at his cell phone, he opened his menu of contacts and began to scroll down until he stopped at the name. He smiled as he soon began to remember how he got the raven hair’s number.


~FLASHBACK~
“I don’t want to give you my number! What do I look like your girlfriend? Hell we aren’t even friends!” Rei growled as the dual hair pulled the struggling raven hair closer to his body. “And will you let me go you damn horn dog!”
“If you give me your number I can always call you to know where you are and if you are planning on being late.”
“Fuck you. I am not your wife or whatever so I don’t want you to have my number. Now let go. Sheesh can’t you go one day without sex?”
Kai looked down at the raven hair with one brow cocked up.
“You were the one who came on to me remember. I wasn’t the one who asked you to ride me today. So you can only blame yourself.” He began to nibble on Rei’s ear making the raven hair give out a low whimper.
“Bastard. Fine I’ll give you my number.”
The dual hair only smirked.
“But don’t you dare end up sending me any porn or dirty texts! I swear I’ll beat your sorry ass. And don’t call me so you can just annoy the hell out of me okay. Just call me if it is important.”
“Idiot. You act like I am some pervert.” He pulled the raven hair into a kiss.

The raven hair looked over at his nightstand and noticed his phone rumbling and glowing.
‘Huh? I wonder who is calling me?’ He picked his phone up and looked at the ID.It read unknown.
“Hello?” He sat up and waited for a reply.
“Rei”
“Kai?” The raven hair felt his heart stop as he heard the dual hair’s voice.
“How are you feeling?”
Rei felt the tears soon forming in his eyes and his hear felt like it was about to burst.
“Kai…”
