I am soooooo sorry for the late update! A lot has happened! I been down with some illness for a while and I am trying hard to work on a bunch of stupid assignments and also I have other stories to write. T_T I am truly sorry for the lack of update!
Oh wow so many lovely reviews as usual I love you all. Man I can’t believe how many have stuck by me and this story--so happy. Wow I will be so sad when I end this story too heh I don’t want to end it yet! XD But sadly I will have to but hey I am so going to make a sequel to Innocent Dance! Oh yes! The story will not die on me!! Having way too much fun writing this story that I am so going for a sequel? Do you think I should? Anyway enjoy!!

Chapter 48



“Have you ever heard of phone sex?”
“Uh…yeah.” The raven hair’s heart began to beat faster as his face turned redder.
“Just for tonight. Be with me Rei.”
The raven hair sat in silence feeling the heat from his cheeks make his way down to his groin.
“K…Kai don’t you have class in the morning?”
“In the afternoon. Rei please I miss you so much, it hurts knowing I can’t be there with you.”

This made Rei blush different shades of red and his pants a bit tighter.

“Just follow me.”
Silence.
“Okay…I will try my best.”
The dual hair smiled at the response and felt his heart jump a bit.
“What are you wearing?”
“Huh?”
“Tell me what you are wearing right now.”
“A white muscle shirt and a pair of blue jeans.”
“Where are you?”
“In the bedroom on my bed…”
“Lay back.”
The raven sat for a bit then he crawled backwards until he was resting against the headboard of his bed.
“Close your eyes and try to imagine me in the same room with you.”

“Just do as I say.”
Rei sighed and closed his eyes just like the dual hair told him to do. He tried hard to picture the dual hair in the same room but he just couldn’t do it.
“Don’t open them, you hear my voice. Use it to imagine me sitting next to you whispering to you. Imagine my hot breath near you. Can you feel it?”
The raven hair was slowly imaging exactly what Kai was telling him, he was soon able to feel the dual hair’s hot breath next to his ear making him give out a low moan.

With that they hung up.
The raven hair tossed his phone on the bed and slowly made his way to the shower.
He removed his clothes and tossed them onto the ground, he stepped in the shower and turned on the hot water. He rested his head against the cool tile under the showerhead and allowed the hot water hit his back.
“Kai…why can’t I just say the damn thing?” He sighed and soon began to wash himself.




Rei gave out a groan as he fumbled in the dark looking for his cell phone that was ringing loudly. He answered it.
“Hello?” He said in a tired and angered voice.
“Rei-rei! You must come to the hospital now! Hurry!”
“Mom?” He sat up quickly and felt his heart jump. “What happened?!”
“Hurry! Garland should be outside of the college to bring you here. Please hurry!” With that she hung up. The raven hair fell off the bed and quickly scrambled to his feet in order to quickly get ready.
He dashed out of his room and quickly ran down the stairs as fast as he could. He jumped the last four steps and ran out of the building as if a murderer was chasing him.
‘Dad! Please don’t let it be anything serious.’ He began to quicken his pace as he thought more about the situation.
He tripped a bit on his footing but quickly regained balance and ran faster past the fountain in the middle of the college. He soon saw a car waiting in front of the college gates and he knew right away it was Garland. He ran faster and finally reached the car.
“Hurry.” The older man yelled out through the open window.
Without another thought the raven hair jumped in and buckled up as the man sped off toward the hospital.


The older man parked the car and they both stepped out. The raven hair ran off leaving the taller man behind. He entered the hospital and quickly made his way toward the elevator. He entered the elevator and pressed the button floor. He waited nervously as he felt that the machine slowly made its way toward the destination. Rei slammed his fist against the side of the elevator as he continued to look up the number floors, until finally it arrived and it stopped at the 5th floor. The raven hair ran out so fast that he nearly knocked down the people who were waiting for the elevator. He did not look back; he just made his way as fast as he could toward room 312.
“Ma! What happened to dad!?” He yelled as he entered the room.
He stopped mid track as he saw a sight that tore his heart into pieces and quickly brought tears to his eyes. His breath felt as if it were caught in between his chest, and his throat went dry.
“Papa…” He said in a dried tone as he continued to stare at the image through blurry eyes.
“Hey son…”
The raven hair felt as he were in a dream, he ran toward the bed and threw himself on top of his father who was sitting up.
The man smiled as he felt his son cry hard on him clinging tightly around him. Ki Shou felt the tears escape his eyes and he nuzzled his face into the bundle of hair under his chin. Lan Fei walked closer and wrapped her arms around the two and began to cry along with them.
Garland came in and felt the joy rip through his heart as he saw the family together in tears. The man was over joy to see that the older man was sitting up awake and embraced by his family. After what felt an eternity of tears and hugging they finally pulled apart as soon as the doctor entered.
“Mr. Kon. I am Dr. Ichigo.”
“Hello Doctor.” The man greeted him with a smile.
“Well after checking up your progress and examines I have come to tell you your situation.”
“Alright.” The man looked at him as he waited for the results.
“Well you are still in serious condition. Your body will need some time to heal completely, but when it does heal there will be some side effects.”
“Such as?” He said as the doctor walked over with a notepad.
“Due to your injuries, you will be disabled. Your right leg will never be any use to you again.”
Rei felt his heart sank as he heard the doctor tell them the news.
“Due to the spinal injury you will of course need to recover in rehabilitation. We will assist you as much as we can to help you work your lower body. As you may already realized your left arm feels numb correct?”
“Yes.”
“Due to the injury, but it should gain some feeling to it soon. Not sure how long that might take but you will recover MOST of the hand’s function.”
“Dr. Ichigo.” Lanfei called out.
“Yes?”
“So Ki Shou will never be able to dance?”
“I am afraid not. He will have to live his life on a wheelchair, or crutches which ever you prefer. His left leg is functional but I do not believe he will be able to perform due to the lack of his right leg. We can replace his leg with an artificial one if you like. That will require rehab as well.”
“But that will require me to get this leg removed yes?” Ki Shou said as he lowered his head.
“Correct. I do not wish to come and bring you all of this at once. So I will leave you alone for now, you may think that last option over.” With that he excused himself and stepped out of the room.
The room was silent as they all tried to think over what was told.
“This is my fault…I ruined your life.”
They all looked over to see the raven hair sitting on one of the chairs that sat in front of the bed.
“Sweetie.” The mother was going to rest her hand on his back when suddenly he jumped up.
“Father! Hate me! Abandon me now! I will gladly leave you! Please say you will never want to see me again!” Tears streamed down as he looked at his father with great pain.
The man only looked at him with the same pain.
“Why won’t you just say it!? Yell at me! I am the cause of your suffering! Just say it! PLEASE!” He cried harder.
“Rei-rei…” The mother felt helpless as she watched her only child cry his heart and soul out in great pain.
“If it wasn’t for me you would still be able to dance! I caused you both so much suffering! Please…please tell me to leave forever.” He clutched at his chest as he lowered his head in shame.
“Rei Kon.” Ki Shou said in a strict tone. “Look at me.”
The raven hair slowly lifted his head and stared at his father in shame.
“You are my son and will always be my son. No matter what you do, no matter how you act. No matter what life you take…you will always be part of the Kon family. You cannot continue blaming yourself for this. No one should. Rei I did what I did because I love you. You are my child; I live my life everyday to see you grow and become someone that will make me proud. I devoted my life to you and your mother. I would die for you a second chance if the gods would allow me too. I cannot hate you I will never hate you no matter how much you beg. Son I do not blame you one bit for what has occurred to me. Your suffering is my suffering, if you want my forgiveness then please allow me to suffer with you.” Tears streamed down the man’s face as he looked at his son with a smile.
Ki Shou extended his good arm out inviting the boy to come. The raven hair did so and embraced his father and once more he cried.



“Lanfei how are you feeling?” The taller man asked as he handed her a cup of coffee.
“As if the weight of the world has finally been lifted from my shoulders.” She smiled as she accepted the cup. “How about you Garland?”
“Relieved. I feel just like you too.”
“I am glad. I am sorry you had to go through this trial as well.” She ripped open a sugar packet and poured it in her cup.
“Don’t be. Ki Shou is like a father to me. You both are like my parents. I want to suffer along you both and Rei as well.”
“You are very sweet.”
“Thanks.” He took a drink from his hot coffee as he enjoyed the feel of the hot liquid soothing his throat. He looked over at the woman who was slowly stirring at her drink.
“Rei…he seems to always change his mood. First you don’t see the pain then you see him cry out so much that it makes you ache seeing him like that.”
“Yes. My kitten has so much pain in him; sometimes it makes me wonder what can I do? I feel helpless when he acts like that. I do not know his pain that I do not know how to help him.”
“I am sorry Lanfei.”
She sipped her drink and placed it back down while she shook her head.
“I just seem to fail as a mother. Maybe I wasn’t good enough.”
“Don’t say that, you are a wonderful mother. There are just things that happen that no one can help. Rei seems he can get over this, I mean you two raised him well. But guessing since he mostly grew up alone and not really out in the world he just did not know how to handle the situations that occurred to him.”
“You may be right. I just wish there was some way to go back in time and prevent any of this from happening.” She ran her index finger over the rim of her cup.
“What is life without any challenges? Rei has gone through a lot but without those experiences he will never grow up to be a strong person. I know that it is a hard moment in his life, that all that has occurred injured him at some extend that we cannot explain. But…he will over come it. He must, he will, I know he will. We all have our moments. I know….”
“…I am sorry to make you remember them.”
“It’s fine. Thinking about the past only makes me want to make the future better.”
“Your brother would have been proud to see you today.”
“I bet he would have too.” He smiled at the woman who in return gave him one back.



Ki Shou continued to stroke the boy’s hair as he felt the calm breathing of his son.
“So what has happened while I was out?”
“Nothing…”
“Oh? Then why are there some slight bruises around your face?”
Rei buried his face deeper into his father’s chest.
“Rei?” The man’s voice was filled with concern.
“Boris was close in raping me…”
The room was silent.
“Bastard…fucking bastard…” Ki Shou felt so much rage. “Rei…what happened?”
“Tala came in time, he was only able to molest me…nothing more.”
“Son…if only…shit…”
“Don’t worry dad, he is behind bars and well…I can get over what happened. So please don’t freak out. I don’t want to go over it again okay?”
“Sure whatever you want Rei.”
“Thanks.”
Once more silence surrounded them.
“Kai…how is he?”
“Good.”
“He already left correct?”
“Yes he is in Italy.”
“Oh that is very cool. How is he doing over there?”
“Still adjusting I guess.”
“You guess? Don’t you talk to him?”
“I only talked to him twice I think.”
“How come. I thought you two were lovers, for sure I thought you would be calling 24/7 to just say how much you miss and love each other.” He smiled.
“…Just issues I guess. First time was due to what happened, second time was…” He blushed hard and did not dare to look up.
Ki Shou lifted the boy’s head up and saw the blush and smile.
“What is going on Rei?”
“I uh…nothing.” He pulled away and sat up straight.
“Aw come on! I bet you told your mother! Why won’t you tell me!? I had a lover too you know. Please please!”
“Dad stop that you sound like a kid…it’s embarrassing.”
“I just want to know. Please! Come on Rei!”
“Fine! First promise me you won’t tell mom.” He looked at his dad with a serious look.
“Why? I always tell your mother everything.”

“I won’t mention it to her. Promise.”
“After I spoke to mom about some issues, I decided to call Kai. He asked me if I knew about phone sex.”

“So what time is it over there now?”

“A bit sore here and there but I am good. Due to my injuries I can’t do anything in dance class, but like that matters.”

“Brooklyn has been missing, so we haven’t been having any classes lately.”

“Yeah. I asked Raul and Julia to ask around but no one knows what happened to him.”
“And nothing?”
“ Yeah. He went missing after what happened to Rei’s old man.”
“….”
“I guess he is freaking about Garland. He went missing too. The production is dead at the moment so we have no clue what is going to happen.”
“I see.”
They sat in silence.
“Tala.”
“Yeah?”
“Don’t tell anyone this not even your lover got it?”
“Yeah sure. What do you want?”
“I know it is still awhile but, in about two months I will be back there.”
“What?”
“I am planning on visiting, just for a couple of days, I have business to attend there but I will just take one day to visit the university again.”
“You really do love that idiot.”
“Yes. Don’t tell anyone remember that.”
“Yes. Well I can’t wait to see you too. Everyone will be excited.”
“Whatever. Take care of yourself Tala.”
“Thanks, you too Kai.”
With that they hung up.
The dual hair looked up at the sky.




It was around 8 pm when there was knocking in front of the orange hair’s door.
He walked over slowly toward the door and unlocked it only to be greeted by a grinning Garland.
“Hey Brooklyn. How are you?” The taller man said as he looked down at the shocked Brooklyn.
“Garland?” His voice had a tone of uncertainty.
“Yeah. Listen I am sorry about me going missing…I feel terrible about it.” Suddenly without notice the orange hair threw himself unto the taller man and embraced him tightly around the waist as he buried his face against the man’s chest.
“Whoa…Brook?” He looked down at the man and noticed he was crying. “I am sorry, I forgot how emotional you are. I didn’t mean to make you worry.” He began to rub the back of the orange hair.
“Why didn’t you call? I thought you were dead or hurt somewhere. You had me worried sick.” He muttered as he kept his face buried into the man’s chest.
“Dead? Why would you think that?” He pulled the orange hair away and looked at him in curiosity.
“Well…what happened to Ki Shou must have been real painful and well…”
“Brook I am hurt. Why would you think of me like that? I would never do anything stupid, I learned the hard way due to that.”
“I know…I am sorry.”
“It’s alright. So are you going to let me in or do you want to continue this hug fest out here still?” He smiled as he quickly squeezed the orange hair’s butt making Brooklyn jump in surprise and move away.
“You pervert.”
“Takes one to know one.”
“Wow how original of you.”
“You know it. I am always original.” He leaned down and pulled the orange hair in for a tender kiss. After a few seconds he pulled away and looked at a blushing Brooklyn who at the same time had on a look of annoyance.
“You jerk.”
The taller man just stuck out his tongue and poked the orange hair on the tip of his nose.
“Come on in.” Brooklyn walked in and was followed by Garland who wrapped his arms around the man’s waist and nuzzled his head on top of the orange hair.
“I’m glad you are okay.” Brooklyn whispered.
“How about I take you and Jin out for dinner tonight?”
“That would be nice.” He smiled.
“Good, so how about a ride?” He winked at Brooklyn who elbowed him in the ribs.




~The next day~
Takao took a bite from his hamburger.
“We are so relieved Rei.” Mihaeru said as he looked over at the raven hair who was drinking.
“Thanks. It feels unreal.”
“So when will be able to see your dad?” The bluenette asked.
“Anytime oh well before 5 pm due to the fact visiting hours are over by then.”
“Will he mind?” The light blond asked as he handed his lover a napkin.
“He asked about you two. He really wants to see how you been doing as well, and to thank you for giving us support.”
“Hey anytime buddy. Well how about babe do we visit today?”
“I see why not. Rei may we?”
“Yeah sure. Go around 3.”
“Okay.” Mihaeru smiled at him.
“So Rei what is going on lately?” Takao asked as he grabbed the corn bread off of the raven hair’s tray.
“Oh yeah I forgot to mention this, but I am back in the production.”
“Really?” The light blond looked at him.
“Yeah. I spoke to Garland and asked him to reconsider me in the show and to continue work on it. I want to do this for my parents. Make them proud for once.”
“Don’t say that pal. Your parents are both seriously proud of you if they weren’t then hell they wouldn’t give a rat’s ass about you or this production.”
“You think?”
“Come on Rei! Why can’t you accept the facts now and days? Sheesh you are becoming more and more pig headed just like uh…”
“You Tyson”
“Yeah just like me…Hey! Mihaeru how can you say that about me?”
“Cause I am only saying the facts. And you are pig headed. Plus a slob, a horn dog, hyper, loud.”
“Are we talking about me or Rei here?” He looked at his lover with a glare.
“Rei of course.” He smiled at the bluenette.
“Bastard…” He growled under his breath.
“Okay you two I don’t want to see the love birds quarrel.” The raven hair chuckled at the two.
“Speaking of love birds, how about you and you know that guy.” The bluenette looked over at the raven hair who soon lost his smile.
“Oh uh…fine I guess.”
“Yeah?”
“Uh huh.” He responded as he grabbed his apple and took a bite from it.
“What about your ex-fiancé Rei?” The light blond glanced over at Rei.
“Uh Salima…?”
“Yeah your bitchy ex. What happened to her?” Tyson looked over at him with curiosity.
“Not sure…last time we talked was after what happened and there we got in an argument and she yelled I hate you and stormed out of my place.”
“Did she return back home?” The light blond took a bite from his salad.
“Not sure. I mean not even my mom knows where she is. I think she is with her grandmother but I feel terrible for her.”
“Why? She is a total bitch. Let her find her own man now.”
“Tyson, she is like my sister. I can’t just forget her and leave her all hurt. I need to make her understand.”
“Good luck. To me a witch is always a bitch.”
“Don’t you mean a bitch is always a bitch Ty?”
“No babe she is a witch and bitch.”
“I see.”
No matter how bitchy she is I still can’t let her go on like this. Well I got to go guys. Have class in a bit.”
“Okay. Later buddy.”
“Bye Rei.”
“Bye you two.”
With that he picked up his tray and walked away from the bench leaving the two.
“So what do you think babe?”
“About Salima?”
“Yeah”
“I hope Rei can make her understand, cause an angry woman can be trouble.”
“I know, that is the reason why I prefer men. They wouldn’t mind a threesome.”

Rei watched as his English professor continued to give more examples on how to write a narrative essay.
“I want you all to write a story, but about a moment in life that made a great impact in you. That changed you today. As I told you my story that is how I want the essay to be written, that was the example of a style I would like to read. But you may write your way of style. So tonight do your free write and on Wednesday we will go over it. Later everyone.” The older man waved at his class and everyone began to pack up and leave.
The raven hair stayed behind and waited until he had a chance to speak to his professor.
“Yes Rei.” The man said with a smile.
“Mr. Gonzales about the moment?”
“Yes.”
“I am not sure.”
“What do you mean? It can be about your childhood, a date, or first girlfriend, something that made you who you are now. My experience changed my perspective of woman so now I am not the same as I was back down.”
“So…how about a moment like what happened recently?”
“Are you talking about your father’s incident?” The man crossed his leg and looked at the boy with question.
“Yes.”
“Well you know it does not need to be a sad moment Rei. But if that is what you want. I don’t recommend it but I really don’t care if you want to write about it.”
“Thank you sir.”
“Sure. But remember you can always change your mind for the rewrite okay.”
“Okay. Thanks Mr. Gonzales.”
“Have a good day.”
The raven hair began to walk away from the classroom.
‘Should I write about that?’ He ran his hand through his hair as he continued to think. ‘I could write about Kai…but I don’t want the professor to know that I’m….’ He sighed. ‘I am afraid…but I wonder if Kai would be open about our relationship? Would he dare let everyone who adore and admire him to know that he is in a relationship with another guy?’ Suddenly he slammed hard against someone.
“OUCH! Bastard why don’t watch where you’re going!?” The voice of a girl was heard.
The raven hair shook his head shaking off the daze and looked down to see a girl picking up her books.
“Julia?”
She looked up with anger but then her expression softens.
“Oh hey Rei. My gosh!” She grabbed her books and stood up and began to un-dust her skirt. “Hey how have you been?”
“Good. Sorry about that.”
“No it’s alright. Um how is your dad?”
“He finally regained conscious.”
“Oh my gosh! That is great!” She gave the raven hair a hug. “I am so glad. Good to hear.”
“Yeah.” He gave a small smile. “So you were going to class?”
“I was just going to go and see if Brooklyn was in his office today. Class has been canceled for a while now and well a lot of the students are concerned. So I decided to go see what is up.”
“Oh. Well Garland said he was going to go talk to him. I am not sure when he was but it was going to be soon.”
“Oh you met up with Garland?”
“Yeah. The production is still going to go on.”
“What? But what about the lead dancer?”
“I am going to take the part once more.”
The Spanish girl looked at him like he was some kind of weirdo.
“You serious?”
“Yes.”
“Great! I am glad. I can’t wait to tell Kai!”
“Uh Kai?”
“I call him every night. I like to keep in touch with him. I am so lonely without him being around me now and days.”
Rei felt jealousy as he continued to hear the Spanish girl brag about how much she and the dual hair use to spend time together so much.
“Well I better get going. Kai sends his love to you and he says he can’t wait for another round.” She winked at him.
“Huh?”
“Bye bye!” She waved at the confused Rei and began to walk off.
“What the hell?” He cocked a brow up as he watched the girl slowly disappear from his sight.

Okay I know this chapter sucked but man oh man I am lacking sleep due to the fact I need to work for who knows how long on my essay, and now I have another one. Gah he is a tough teacher. Heh I used him in my story. XD Mr. Gonzales is actually my English Professor and the assignment he gave Rei is the one I just finished. =P Well anyways!
