Dragon Bait Chapter 5


By the time Duo woke up, it was starting to brighten outside. There was still, or again, a fire in the hearth. The dragon- Heero- was awake and in human form and crouched beside him, close enough to touch. Duo smiled, thinking he\'d been about to shake him awake and if he didn=t alert fast enough he might yet But then Duo realized he was too still; he hadn\'t caught Heero between motions after all. Heero was simply there watching him, with that appraising expression. Duo wasn\'t really upset that Heero was watching over him it made him feel more at peace knowing he had the strong being protecting him.

Duo smiled up at Heero, \"Morning.\" Heero stayed where he was even after he knew that Duo was awake, \"Morning. Did you sleep ok? You cried out a lot.\" Duo sat up a little with a small frown \"I keep remember seeing my father when he died.\" Duo stood up and walked over to the fire when he saw the pot hanging over it was filled again with a delicious smelling like food, \"What is this Heero?\" \"Beef strips, and vegetables. I wasn\'t sure how much food you humans eat so I brought you more in case you were hungry again when you awoke.\" The long haired beauty sighed in joy \"You seem to know when I am hungry quite well.\" Pulling out one of the strips of beef Duo blew on it before greedily swallowing it down, \"Mmm its really good.\"


As much as Duo liked Heero and felt safe with him he wasn=t sure if he could trust him.. *He=s probably not going to let me live,* a small part of him warned. *He=ll help me get revenge on Inquisitor Dorothy and Trieze just for the pure spiteful fun of it. And then he=ll take my virginity before ripping my throat out, and enjoy it twice as much for having first tricked me into trusting him* Duo swallowed another piece of beef, *No,* Duo thought to himself, *I=ll take his help, but if it comes to that, I=ll kill him before he kills me. He=s just a...ITs just a...dragon.* Even though Heero was a dragon he had treated him more kindly then any human. He wanted to trust Heero! \"Have you considered what we talked about yesterday?\" Heero pulled Duo closer to him but said nothing. That was exactly what the accuse d wizard had expected.
Duo sighed, \"Do you have any suggestions\"
Duo thought he caught a flicker of what may have been disappointed on Heero=s face. \"You want to do Trieze last,\" he reminded the long haired beauty.
\"Yes\"
\"Then it would seem to make sense to do his family directly before him.\"
\"So Dorothy first, since she=s in Griswold?\"
The dragon-youth inclined his head
\"What exactly are we going to do to him?\"
Heero only continued to watch him with a grin.
Duo shook his head. It was one thing to know he wanted Dorothy to pay for what she=d done to him and his father, it was quite another to come up with a plan. \"Maybe I shouldn=t rush into this. We can go to Griswold, see what the town is like, decide on what to do there.\" Heero asked,\" Where do humans live when they\'re in a town they don\'t know, while they\'re trying to decide what to do?\"
\"An inn, I guess,\" Duo said. \"If they have gold or silver to pay.\"

Heero smiled, faint and chilly, and Duo shivered. Heero\'s amusement shifted to something darker, a mood for which he had no name, \"I think,\" the dragon told him, \"you\'ll have to go as my wife.\"
\"What?\"the violet-blue eyed boy squeaked. \"I\'d never pa...\" \"For your own protection,\" he interrupted. \"The other choice is to chop all your lovely hair off and go as my brother, though that has the disadvantage of Dorothy recognizing you as soon as he sees you. Your beauty does stand even more when you are dressed as a male.\" Duo found it hard to catch a breath despite the knowledge that Heero was watching him and was aware of his every movement.
A married couple?
Heero took Duos silence as agreement. \"We\'ll go as husband and wife. Pick a name.\"

Duo clenched his teeth, knowing that the dragon was right, that if he was disguised as a women he couldnt take a room by himself at a respectable inn, that Heero didn\'t need to bring him all the way to Griswold if he intended him harm. \"Nuriko. I would like to be called Nuriko.\" he said, picking the name of one his old friends who use to cross-dress. (Nuriko from Fushugi Yugi!) Heero stood and turned his back on him to head to the farmhouse entrance , \"Where are you going Heero?\" Looking over his shoulder Heero grinned, \"I am going to need to get us some supplies. Are you going to be all right on your own?\" \"Yes. I will simply finish my food while waiting for you.\"

As said Duo finished off the food while he waited for the cobalt eyed beings return. Heero entered carrying a large sac of his shoulder, \"I have gotten everything we need.\" Reching into the bag the brown haired dragon-youth pulled out a very elegant lavender gown, \"Oh..Heero I can\'t wear that.\" Blinking Heero looked at it \"Why is that? I made sure not to get something to..\" Heeros eyes ran over Duo\'s body and he smirked \"revealing.\" Walking over Duo ran his hand over the silk gown\"It looks like something a princess would wear.\" Heero\'s smile was dark and Duo got the suspicion that it might have just been a princesses gown. The dragon-youth also pulled out a large amount of silver jewelry and lavender flats, \"I also made sure not to get you heels.\" \"Thank god for that.\"

While changing Duo felt Heero=s eyes on him, \"Heero you\'re being a pervert again.\" Heero licked his lips while throwing on a white long sleeve shirt \"I find it hard to keep my eyes off of you.\" Sighing the long haired tried to reach the zipper in the back of the short sleeved gown \"I find that hard to believe.\" Duo smiled when the brown haired being did the zipper for him \"I am going to have to fix your hair up as well.\" A light gasp escaped Duo\'s lips as Heero started trailing kisses over his neck\"You look very beautiful Duo.\" Duo blushed \"I would like it better if I wasn\'t dressed as a damn female all the time.\"
\"Its very arousing.\"
The chestnut haired boy laughed softly, \"Your always aroused Heero.\" Clawed hands settled on slim hips as Heero kissed his cheek and the corner of his lips \"Only when your around.\" When turning around he gasped as he saw what Heero was dressed in. He looked...he looked like prince charming in the white shirt, tight black jeans and loose black ankle boots strapped with gold. It was all a very good disguise for a dragon. \"Don\'t forget Duo, there can\'t be any question in anybody=s mind that you are a girl. You don\'t want Dorothy to recognize you right away. You want her to feel there=s something familiar about you so that she thinks about you after you\'re gone, after you\'ve destroyed her. You want her to realize who you are only when you=re not there anymore.\"

Duo pondered this as Heero fixed his hair up. The top half in two small buns as the rest hung freely \"That\'s what I want, is it?\" he asked, unable to look at Heero. Finishing Duo\'s hair Heero turned him around to kiss him, surprising Duo. He really hadn\'t expected to kiss the dragon-youth again so soon. Of course just yesterday he was thinking of letting Heero take him. Duo decided now that he would go with the flow and it would be worth it. Getting revenge on Dorothy. And then Une and Relena, Trieze\'s family. And then Trieze himself.
Anything would be worth that.
