What if Son Goku left with Raditz

Thanks Animeslave. this story is not over. I completed it. There are 14 chapters altogether. Yes, I want more reviews! This is the first long story I have ever done. Probably the only one for a long period of time. That is why I did not post them all. I intend to post one chapter a day. Yes Bibi ruined moment. But there will be more chanced in future. I would not like Vegeta to have Goku when he had no feeling just lust. you are right, they are getting together in the right moment. You review is much appreciated.





Chapter 5 The purge.



Son Goku had taken part in several purges. He felt lucky that none of these purges had involved killing innocent people. So far they had only destroyed rebels or ruling dictators and then handed the planet together with its residents over to Frieza. His power level increased every time. As he was able to read ki, he knew he was already stronger than his brother, who still thought of him as his ‘baby’ brother who needed protection. He could hide his ki as well, not using it excessively until necessary. Sagi’s teaching had been a great help and he had improved significantly.



Today’s mission was a bit tricky, though. Frieza had ordered total destruction of the populace. Son Goku was a bit wary. He didn’t know what he would do when he got there. I’ll just have to play it by ear. He sighed.



Vegeta watched Kakarotto from a distance. He had not taken advantage of Kakarotto yet, and hadn’t had a chance to since the night at the pub. It was not that his lust had disappeared. As a matter of fact, his lust increased every day, with each moment he saw him. He was just – confused. He did not know when it had happened, but his lust for the younger Saiyan had changed—not only did he want to have fun with Kakarotto’s body, but he had also developed affections for the younger man.

Kakarotto could be so funny and interesting at times. He remembered the day when Kakarotto came back from Sagi’s place, laughing loudly and shouting, “I have my tail back!” Before he fell face first on the doorstep of their common area. Before could gasp about the potential pain he might have inflicted on his nose, Kakarotto had jumped to his feet, swirling his tail. Then started to chase it like an enthusiastic puppy. All the other Saiyans had burst into howls of laughter. Vegeta laughed so hard he had tears in his eyes. After he finally calmed down, he realized he had not had a proper laugh since he was – 5 or 6 years old.



A strange feeling coursed through him and he looked at the young Saiyan in a new light. He does make me happy. He thought. But happiness is a luxury in this place, I don’t know whether I can afford it. Vegeta started to worry he had involved too much feeling with the young Saiyan, which would be a weakness. I cannot afford to have a lover so weak, not mention mate. He would be killed in no time and left me heart-broken.

That was why Vegeta currently kept his distance. He did not want to advance until he was sure. That was also the reason he allowed Kakarotto to go to Sagi’s chamber every day. He knew Sagi was training Kakarotto. Maybe one day he could be strong enough to be my mate. Hm, I don’t know where the last thought came from. I will not have mate. I have the responsibilities to my race. Nothing, nobody can stand in the way of my plan. Vegeta put on his last glove and shouted, “Time to go! Move your lazy asses, Saiyans.”

The Saiyans’ spaceship arrived at a seemingly peaceful planet. Blue meadows covered most parts of the planet. The trees were pink. Several lakes were shining like yellow lights. It is just like Earth except the colors are all messed up. Goku thought immediately taking a liking to this particular place on the planet. They could not see any enemies. There were only cow-like creatures scattered around the meadow. Their energy reading was quite low. Being his usual friendly self, Goku landed and pat one cow on the head. “Hi, how are you? We are here to look for a creature called Mancau*. Have you seen them?” The cow creature shook his head and mooed. Goku continued, “You see, apparently they have been rebels to Frieza hence we are here to destroy them. However, I wonder if there is any other way.” The cow creature’s eye suddenly widened then narrowed. Vegeta sensed something wrong and shouted, “Kakarotto, watch out!”



It was too late. The cow creature suddenly transformed. He still kept his cow head but grew a lot larger, standing on his back feet, towering over Kakarotto. Kakarotto was caught by surprise and was kicked in the ribs and tossed far away. Before Kakarotto could form any defense the cow creature caught up to him and rammed into Kakarotto with his horn, penetrating Kakarotto’s chest.



“Noooooo!” Vegeta’s eyes turned red, he dashed to the cow creature and kicked it flying. He gained altitude and then drop down like a stone right into the cow’s body. He could not explain his sudden outrage. All he could feel was the fury that blinded his eyes and he wanted to tear the creature that had harmed Kakarotto into pieces. Among the fury his heart skipped a beat, and he felt sudden panic that he might have lost Kakarotto right there and then. With his whole body shaking from the strong emotions, he jumped up to check Kakarotto’s injury. He found his way was blocked by another two cow creatures—now he knew they were the Mancau they were looking for. The situation in the meadow had turned around completely. All of the Mancaus transformed. His scouter blipped dangerous. Their power levels were very high. Vegeta knew he got the first one by luck, and only with the aid of his blind fury. It would be difficult to deal with two at the same time. But nobody can stop me checking on Kakarotto. He jumped into fight fiercely.



Out of the corner of his eye he saw Kakarotto was still moving, coughing out blood from his lungs. Thank god! This distraction earned him a smack right on the face. Vegeta tumbled back and rushed forward again trying to get through the barrier. He saw another two Mancaus approaching Kakarotto out of his peripheral vision. He panicked. “Raditz! Go to your brother! He needs help!” Vegeta shouted while fighting, earning several blows to his body because of his distraction. Due to his worry his defenses were sadly lacking, but he could not care less. “NOW!!”



“I can’t!” Raditz shouted back while fighting another two cow creatures, “They are everywhere!”



Cursing inwardly Vegeta realized he was the only person that had a real chance to help. He took a deep breath he positioned his hands. “Final, flash—“



His strong attack blew the two Mancaus into ashes. However before Vegeta began running again another five encircled him. He looked in Kakarotto’s direction and saw another three Mancaus joining the previous two and approaching him.



Vegeta felt desperation. There was no way he could save Kakarotto in this situation. The feeling was so dooming that he did not even feel the strike to his body, which sent him crashing into a cliff. It was like a blind man who had been shown a couple of days of light and sight and then became blind again. His life had been full of darkness, violence and conspiracy before Kakarotto had shown up. The young Saiyan brought harmless fun into his life, which made him smile and relax. Before he enjoyed it, he was thrown back into darkness. “No……” Vegeta wanted to cry. He felt like he had been dropped in to the middle of ice cave; chilled to the bone.



The five Mancaus laughed manically, thinking they had finally overcome their enemy. Vegeta was in such a turmoil he couldn’t think clearly enough to defend himself well.



Suddenly a bright flash of light shined from Kakarotto’s direction. All heads turned to check what was happening. They saw five Mancaus flying out in a half circle. In the middle stood Kakarotto, his ki swirling around his body like hurricane, his hair standing up, his expressions one of determination combined with fury. Vegeta had never seen Kakarotto like this before and it stopped his breath. Wow he is gorgeous. More Mancaus approached Kakarotto and more were beaten away. Seeing Kakarotto had the situation under control, Vegeta’s confidence was revitalized. He smirked deviously, “It is party time.”

Hours later, all the Mancaus were destroyed. Vegeta checked the injuries of his warriors. Raditz and Nappa suffered minor injuries while Kakarotto was – intact! Vegeta could not help being furious. All this time I spent worrying about him. “Tell me how it is that you are not injured! I saw them gore you with my own eyes! The truth, NOW!”



“Uh,” Kakarotto scratched his head and took out a small bag. “I have some Sensu beans from Earth. I always take some of them with me anywhere I go. They can heal battle injuries instantly.”



“What!” Vegeta was really mad. Not only had he worried for nothing, but also this idiot had the cheek to hide something from him. “Confiscated!” He snatched the bag and put it in his own pocket. “There will be no similar stunts in future.”



Kakarotto thought about telling Vegeta he had another bean in his boot but decided keep his mouth shut. Sometimes it was better to keep a secret.



Raditz could not believe his eyes. “Kakarotto, you are stronger than me now. How did this happen?”



Kakarotto smiled sheepishly. “Sagi trained me. Plus he told me that when Saiyans suffer a near death situation, our power increases multifold.”



“Wow. Can he train me as well?”



“Yes, why not? You can ask him yourself.”



“Nah. I will pass. I don’t understand how you can tolerate him. I am glad you are stronger and I don’t need to worry about you as much.”



Kakarotto felt warm feelings towards his brother and dragged him into a hug. “That’s right. We will watch out for each other. That’s what brothers should do.”



Note: Mancau is the name of one of Chinese city. It was my attempt to be a joke.
