Somewhere to belong

Chapter 5

Duo and Heero were eating there freshly cooked fish breakfast sitting in the center of the floor. Also they were keeping warm by the fire Duo was close to Heero enjoying being close to Heero. The sky decide to open the flood gates. The rain beat down relentlessly on Heero’s hut. There was strong winds that shook the walls it seemed they might be pulled from the ground.

Duo was looking around at the shaking walls, Heero had put the blanket around the both of there shoulders as well so they could snuggle eat and keep warm. “Looks like its going to rain all day” Heero tells Duo breaking the verbal silences as the rain was making enough noise so was the wind blowing outside.

“Yeah” Duo nodded meekly there was just something about storms Duo never liked this seemed to be the worst one to ever come along while he was out in the forest. Duo had cleaned his plate he didn’t know if he’d like being shut up in the hut all day but then again it may not be so bad if Heero was here. “Well I hope it won’t,” Heero wrapped his arm around Duo’s waist he pulled him closer to his side and gave him a kiss on his temple then down his neck he sucked on it.

“I don’t know I kind of like this cozy little love nest for just the two of us,” Heero whispered against Duo’s neck he was trying to comfort his nervous love.

“Yeah I know, that is a very nice thought” Duo agreed he pressed his neck into the kissing his body reacted right away to Heero’s lips stimulation. Heero hooked his finger in the neck of Duo’s priest robe he pulled it down and kissed his smooth white shoulder the sheltered rattled violently the hut was picked up off the ground, by the wind it was swept high into the dark grey sky and gone away forever.

All of Heero’s herbs and things he used for positions in there glass jars and bottles were smashed to the clay floor. Heero swiftly Held the blanket over the both of them he had the state of mind to guide Duo over to the water pump in the corner.

“Hold on to this!” Heero shouted into Duo’s ear Duo did as he was told Heero kept one arm over Duo’s shoulders while Heero Held on with one hand. Duo closed his eyes as the cold rain splashed down on his face and hair it felt like there was buckets and buckets of water being poured on his head but the wind whipped it around his ears it was a warm rain but still annoying.

The wind was very powerful but it appeared Heero was stronger than the wind if he could keep Duo save against the pump. The whole time tell the wind gave up the rain trickled to a mere sprinkle. The hut was gone but Heero and Duo got out with their lives.

Heero pulled Duo’s wet shivering body into his own to try and give him some warmth. “Come on we need to find a cave see if we can’t make a fire going so I can dry you off are you ok?” Heero whispered into Duo’s ear who was clinging firmly to Heero’s body.

“Yes I am fine thanks to you ”Duo confirmed nodding his soaking wet head Heero kissed his cute cheeks and forehead.

“Well of course I’d protect you, anyways sweet heart I am afraid we are going to need to go to a village” Heero sighed and took his hand he led him away from the place where Heero’s home had once been though he didn’t seem to upset that it was gone. To him so long as Duo was alright he didn’t have to much to be upset about.

“Oh,” Duo nodded “Alright but you think it’s a good Idea?” Duo wondered watching where he walked so not to slip on a root or trip.

“Well darling at this point we have no choice I am sorry I don’t want to but I am going to have to get some more supplies like bottles and things if I want to make more herbs.” Heero explains to Duo as he led him through the still thick and muddy forest Lest Heero still had his sword if he needed it which he did grab before leaving he put it over his back as they walked on toward the nearest village. Heero only hoped it too wouldn’t be destroyed.
