Chapter 50

“Kai! I love you! Please don’t do this to me!” He stared over to the direction where the dual hair walked off too. His vision was blurry from the tears. “Why didn’t you tell me you were coming…?” He lowered his head to the ground and began to cry harder.
Salima watched the broken down raven hair from the entrance of the dorm building.
‘Rei…’ She tightens the robe around her and continued to watch the crying form. ‘So…this is my chance…’ With that she turned and headed back inside the building.



Raul gave a small whimper as his lover continued to kiss and lick his way down his chest. He tossed his head to the side as he felt Tala flick his tongue over his erect nipple; his breathing became harder and harsher as the red head continue kissing his way down. The Spanish boy gasped as he felt his lover’s tongue dive down his navel, he moved his hands in order to grip onto Tala’s hair as he continued to lick and kiss his way down.
“Tala please…” He said in a tone of desperation.
“Don’t worry, I’ll give you what you want.” He smiled up at him as he began to stroke the boy through his boxers making the Spanish boy give out a loud moan. Suddenly the tune of the red head’s cell phone began to interrupt.
“…answer it.” He gasped out as the red head continued stroking him.
“No, ignore it. I waited all day today, so now I want it.” With one quick motion he yanked at the boxers and pulled them off the Spanish boy. Raul gave a whimper as he felt the air hit his now aching erection.
“You are so fucking hot…” He whispered into Raul’s hair as he kissed the back of the boy’s ear. The Spanish boy gave a low whimper as he felt his lover’s fingers teasing his erection.
Once more Tala’s cell phone began to ring, making the red head growl in frustration. He moved away from his lover and walked over to his pants that were thrown on the floor, he dug through the pockets and pulled out his annoying phone.
‘This better be important!’ He snarled to himself as he looked at the ID. ‘Kai?’ He glanced over at his flustered lover. “Hang on babe.” With that he stepped out of the room.
“Shouldn’t you be in bed?” Tala made his way toward the fridge and pulled out a soda.
“Tala I need to talk to you.”
“I’m listening.”
“…”
“Kai…what’ wrong?” He placed the un-open can on the kitchen counter as he noticed something wrong.
“Come down to the Oasis.”
“Huh?”
“Damn it Tala, just come down to the Oasis…please,” His voice sounded weak and it cried out in pain.
“Yeah, I’ll be there.”
“Thanks” They both hung up.
The red head made his way back to the bedroom and began to dress himself.
“Tala?”
“I am sorry Raul but something important came up. I will be back soon.” He quickly kissed the confused boy on the lips and dashed out of the room.
“…Who called?” He said to himself.


“Changmin sweetie how are you doing with the Shrimp Balls?” She walked over to the younger singer of the group and watched him as he made small golf like balls.
“Are these alright Mrs. Lanfei?” He pointed to the few he had made.
“Lovely! You have talent when it comes to making these. My little Rei-rei never got the hang of making Shrimp balls so quickly. He would always cry when they came out wrong.” She smiled as she handed the green onions to him.
“Cry? How old was he?” Changmin asked as he began to chop the green onions.
“He was 2 ½.”
“Wow! He cooked at such a young age?” He looked over at the woman.
“Yes, he loved cooking, Every time I cooked he came running to the kitchen asking me if he can help.” She began to heat up the oil.
“How’s it going Lanfei?” Garland walked in the small kitchen as he watched them cook.
“Good, care to help?” She looked at him with a smile.
“No way, I might burn down Brook’s place if I do.”
“That you will. Is Jin back?” The orange hair kept his back facing the taller man as he began to cut the tofu.
“Not yet.”
“Where did he go?” Lanfei asked as she began to mix the ingredients for the meal.
“Grab some drinks. Brook here only has whine and tea. The boys are still underage so, of course we can’t let them have their meal with that, and well tea sounds nice but this guy has only breakfast tea, which of course cannot do with your delicious Stir-fried Mushrooms and Bamboo Shoots.”
“Ah very true.”
“Well excuse me, I wasn’t expecting company.” He glared over his shoulder toward the taller man.
“You’re excuse. Anyways how are you doing Changmin?”
“Good, this is very entertaining.” He smiled at the older man.
“Great. Okay Jejung, Yunho, come in and help.” He stepped out of the small kitchen and allowed the two to enter.
“Garland! Why are you asking our guests to help out?” Lanfei glared at the man.
“I am not asking them, they actually want to help you, and they would like to learn the delicious ways of eastern China and Shanghai.” He smiled at her.
“Are you two sure? I mean Changmin begged me to let him help me. If he is making you do this then just go back and relax.”
“No Mrs. Lanfei we really are interested in helping you.” Yunho said as he grabbed the last apron hanging in the small storage closet.
“I wouldn’t mind learning how to cook, also from a master chef like yourself.” Jejung smiled at her.
“Thank you both.” She smiled at the two. “Oh here Jejung, you can use my apron. I don’t want you getting your clothes dirty.” She removed her apron and placed it on the boy. She turned him around and began to tie it up.
She did not notice the boy with a now blushing face, or the fact that Garland was winking at him making the situation more embarrassing.
“There you go. Okay Yuhon please be a dear and help out Changmin, and Jejung you can assist Brooklyn and me. Sounds good?”
They all nodded.
“Okay. Garland why don’t you keep Yucheon and Junsun distracted, while we finish dinner.”
“You got it.”
“Thank you.”
With that he walked over to the living room.

Tala walked inside the restaurant and began to scan around. He continued looking around until he found the dual hair seated all the way at the end of the place. He quickly made his way toward his friend.
“Kai?” He stopped a bit and waited for a response.
“Tala…”
The red head nodded and quickly seated in front of the dual hair. His heart felt as it shattered from what he saw. For the first time, Kai was in tears and he looked hurt.
“What happened?” He placed his hands on top of his friend’s and waited for a reply.
“…I am so stupid…”
The red head stared at his friend in question. The dual hair pulled his hands away and ran them down his face, as if he were trying to remove dirt.
“Stupid…” He said once more as he covered his mouth like he wanted to throw up.
“Kai what happened? And why didn’t you tell me you were coming? I could have picked you up and we could have gone out to eat and stuff—“ He stopped, Kai was not his usual self, the way he looked, is as if someone died in his arms, if his very soul was taken away. ‘Kai never acted like this…only that time when Wyatt died…Rei…did something happen to Rei?’ His heart skipped a beat as his thoughts began to bring images of the raven hair dead or severely injured. “What happened? Kai come on let’s get out of here, we can talk at my place.” He stood up and helped the dual hair out of the booth chair and helped him out of the restaurant.
“No…I don’t want to go to that building…” He mumbled out as the red head walked them towards his car.
“Kai what’s wrong? It will be better if we talk at my place.”
“No…no not there…”
“Then where?”
“My hotel room…please…” He kept his head down while walking.
The red head just looked at his friend who was once tough and admired by all, to a sad pathetic soul. Tala walked him over to the passenger side and helped him in. He then went over to the driver’s side and went in. He sat and looked over at the dual hair who held his head down. The red head leaned over and buckled Kai up, he then sat back right on his seat and buckled up, placing the key in the ignition he started the car up and pulled out of the student parking lot making his way out of the college. Tala glanced over to Kai once more; the dual hair had his head rested against the window, his bangs covering his eyes. The dual hair’s body seemed lifeless, it wouldn’t flinch one bit the only thing that was moving were his lips. Tala couldn’t make out what Kai was mumbling but it only made him worry even more.
‘This is not Kai…something serious must happen for him to be this way, no way in hell would he let himself be seen like this.’ The red head thought to himself as he signaled to make a left turn.
“Simpleton…you are nothing but a simpleton…you pathetic child…” Kai whispered.


~FLASHBACK~
“Kai why do you sound so happy!?”
“Uh well I am having a lot of fun here grandfather.” The small Kai said as he held the phone close to his ear.
“You stupid little brat! I did not leave you there so you can have fun! That is not why you are there! Now you better straighten out, you hear me!? I will not have some simpleton in my home! You hear me! You are a simpleton and I will not accept that! You pathetic child!” The old man spitted at the boy through the phone. “Do not call until you fully understand the reason of your discipline!”
“Yes grandfat—“ Before he was able to finish the old man already hung up leaving the small dual hair hearing the disconnected tone. Kai hung the phone up and stepped out of the booth.
“Kai, you ready son?”
He looked over toward the area where the sweets were and saw Ki Shou waving at the small boy. He only nodded and waited for the older man to finish looking around, so they can leave the store.
After about ten minutes Ki Shou walked over to the small boy, placing his hand over the boy’s shoulder he walked them out of the small store located in the town a few miles away from the village.
They both walked along the dirt path road in silence. The dual hair kept his head down during the walk but was soon interrupted by a lollipop placed in front of him. He looked up and saw the older man smiling at him.
“I picked up some candy. Don’t tell Lanfei okay, she will skin me knowing I gave you candy before dinner.”
Kai grabbed the candy.
“Enjoy. It has bubblegum in the center” The man once more smiled and placed a piece of chocolate in his mouth.
“Mr. Ki Shou?”
“Yes?”
“Can I have another one? I mean a smaller piece of candy too?”
“Sure!” He reached into the small plastic bag and handed the small dual hair a round candy. “There you go.”
“Thank you.”
The man smiled once more and ruffled the boy’s hair as they made their way back to the village.
“Everything okay with your grandfather?”
“Yes.”
“You sure? You seem a bit down since the conversation.”
“Yes. Just home sick.”
“Oh. Well don’t worry son, as soon as you get a hang on all of our dances you will soon be on a plane back home.”
“…”

“We’re home!” Ki Shou yelled out loud as he closed the door behind him.
“Welcome back you two.” Lanfei came walking out of the kitchen wiping her hands on her apron. She made her way toward her husband and planted a sweet kiss on his lips. “Kai sweetie did you make the call?”
The boy only nodded.
“Everything alright with your grandfather?”
Once more he gave a nod.
“That is good. Why don’t you go out in the back? Rei is out there playing. Dinner will be done in a bit.”
Without another word the dual hair made his way past the older woman and headed through the backdoor of the kitchen.
“Something happened”
“Yes. He says he is homesick, but after talking to his grandfather he became sadden. He was never like this for already six months.”
“That man…he is harsh on the poor boy. If only Kai would leave him.”
“Lanfei we cannot do a thing, just do not mention anything, and let the boy enjoy himself for awhile, things might change.”
“You may be right.”
Ki Shou wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her cheek.
“It will be fine.”

The young Kai stepped outside and glanced around looking for the small raven hair. He saw Rei all the way in the back, kneeling down. He made his way toward the boy.
“Hi Kai” He kept his back still facing the dual hair.
“How did you know it was me?”
“Saw your shadow.” He stood up and gave him a smile. “Did you like the town?”
“It was very small. And we only went to that store.”
“Yeah, but it is still fun to visit. I especially love the candy store.”
“But the candy store is inside the small mini mart.”
“I know that silly. But I call it a candy store cause it is a small area big enough for a store. You get me?”
“I guess.”
The young Rei only smiled at Kai making the small dual hair slightly blush.
“Here.” He quickly pulled out the round candy from his pocket and handed it to the small raven hair.
Rei opens his hand and saw a small round candy. The raven hair smiled widely, he grabbed the small treat and hugged the dual hair.
“Thank you!”
“Y…you’re welcome.” He shyly said as he pulled away with a slight blush on his face.
The small raven hair only smiled once more and placed the candy in his pocket.
“I will treasure it.”
“Why?”
“Cause it is from you. And anything I get from you I will always treasure.”
“…”
“Come here.” He grabbed Kai by the wrist and kneeled him down to the spot he was at. “I’m making a time capital.”
“Time capital?” The dual hair looked at Rei with a confused look.
“Yeah, my mom told me that everyone places something special in a box, or metal can and then they bury it deep in the ground. Then years later they can dig it up to remember their past.”
“A time capsule.”
“That’s what I said. Anyways I shall place this candy in it. So I can come back and remember when you gave it to me.” He pulled the candy out and dropped it in the box. “I also placed the first picture we took together. And also the rock you gave me that was shaped like a tiger paw.” He pointed at each item as he told the dual hair. Kai only watched Rei; he then pulled out his candy from his pocket and placed it in the box as well. The small raven hair only looked at the dual hair and smiled. He placed the lid on the box and placed it in the small hole.
“We can fill it up, then we will bury it for us to find later on, or maybe our kids.”
“Yeah.” Kai smiled at Rei and began to help him cover the box up.
“Rei! Kai! Come in and wash up! Dinner is ready!” Lanfei called out from the kitchen.
“Coming momma!”
Kai stood up and helped the raven hair up. They began to walk back toward the house holding hands.


~END OF FLASHBACK~


The raven hair groaned from his sleep. He slowly sat up and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He began to scan his surroundings and found out he was back in his room. He was not quite sure how he got there but didn’t really care. He pulled the covers off and made his way toward the bathroom. He walked over to the medicine cabinet mirror and looked himself over. He eyes were surround by black circles and they look droopy and sad, he was crying all night until 5am. His hair was a mess and he just did not feel like himself at all. His lip was swollen and the large cut was visible and his nose was bruised. With that he turned on the hot faucet water and began to wash his face and clean himself up.
He walked his way out of the bedroom and headed toward the kitchen. There he peeked inside the refrigerator and glanced at the food. He sighed and closed the fridge door. He was not feeling hungry at all. He looked over at the stove clock and saw it was 7 in the morning. No class. His class started at 1 in the afternoon. He moved away from the kitchen and walked over to the couch in the living room resting against the wall. He slumped on it and let out a deep breath. He was not feeling so good, not in a physical illness, only his emotions, shattered. He sighed and decided to take a walk, staying inside was depressing him even more.


He stepped out of the room and headed down the stairs. He past by Raul’s place and stopped for a bit. He thought he should visit, but it was a bit to early for that, he continued to walk along. He walked out through the double doors and glanced around the morning scenery. It was lovely, everything seemed alive; he would enjoy it, yet not today, that was not how he was feeling. It made him feel even worse and sick seeing how bright the day seemed; yet he could not enjoy it. He stuck his hands in his pockets and walked away from the building making his way towards the bus stop to go to the hospital.



The red head quietly closed the door behind him; he went in to check on Kai and found him still asleep.
‘He needs it…he was up all night.’ Tala made his way toward the small kitchen and made his way to the coffee machine. He began to prepare in order to have some ready for his friend. ‘This is not like Kai at all, why would he break down like this over some idiot?’ He poured water in the coffee pot. ‘That bastard Rei…Kai is seriously hurting because of what that asshole did. Damn it! The only time was when Wyatt died…’ He sighed and closed his eyes.

~FLASHBACK~
“Kai?” The red head knocked the bathroom door. It was over an hour since the dual hair entered to take a shower. They just got back from Wyatt’s funeral and Kai wasn’t taking it to well. All day he seemed zombie like. No tears escaped him, he only stared at the boy’s body with lifeless eyes, and when they were burying him the same look.
When they arrived home the dual hair said he needed a shower and walked in the bathroom. That was an hour ago, it got Tala worried now.
Once more he knocked still no response. He began to pound harder at the door trying to get Kai to say something, yet he was still left with no response.
“Kai open up!! Kai can you hear me open the door!!” He yelled and pounded trying to make the dual hair unlock the bathroom door. Tala pressed his ear against the door hoping to hear something else besides the water that continued to fall. He couldn’t take it anymore, he began to shoulder ram the door hoping to break it down. He rammed into it so many times his shoulder was becoming sore and his entire arm was beginning to feel numb. With one more desperate hard ram he was able to break the small bathroom door of its hinges. He ran in and saw the dual hair in the shower, but he was in his outfit from the funeral and was seated under the water that was now hitting cold.
“Kai…” He ran to the shower/bathtub. He shut off the water and his attention went back to his friend. “Shit…Kai…” He sunk to his knees and grabbed his friend’s arm pulling it away. The arm he grabbed had its sleeved rolled up and was bleeding, he gasped as he saw all the cuts, the one that killed him was the huge cut near his wrist; it was close to the vein. The arm was bloody and not to mention his friend was now shivering. He helped him out of the tub and walked him over to sit on the toilet. He placed the toilet seats down and set the dual hair on top. He began to help him out of his wet clothes, peeling it off his body. He began to towel dry the upper part of Kai’s body, he wrapped the towel over his shoulders and made his way toward the medicine cabinet, opening it he pulled out peroxide and other special aid items, bandages, gauze and cotton. He walked back over to his friend and kneeled down, placing the items onto the bathroom floor. The red head opened the peroxide and poured it onto some cotton. He gently grabbed the cut arm and began to clean each wound, removing the blood that was slowly seeping through the cuts.
“This might hurt.”
After that he grabbed the disinfecting spray and sprayed it all over the wounds. He looked up to see Kai in a bit of pain, but he did not flinch at all. He grabbed the gauze and began to place pieces over each wound, he grabbed the bandage and began to wrap up the arm. He placed the silver clips to hold the bandage in place; he then began to work on the bigger wound. It was real deep and it seemed that it required stitches.
“Kai I better take you to the hospital to get this wound checked out, wrapping it might not do any good.”
“….no….no Wyatt…”
Tala felt worried, he had no idea what to do. If he took in the dual hair, Kai might have some sort of reaction, after all Wyatt died in the hospital. But if he didn’t take his friend to the hospital the wound might become serious, what should he do?
The red head sighed and prayed as he began to clean the wound and place the spray and special gel to keep it from bleeding and so it wouldn’t get infected. He placed the gauze over the wound and then began to wrap it tightly, not to tight but a decent tightness to keep it on hold and clean. He stepped out of the bathroom quickly to grab a pair of fresh new clothes, a few seconds later he came in with some dry clothes in his arms. He placed the t-shirt over his friend’s head and helped him into it, and then he helped him out of his pants and boxers placing a new pair on.
Helping Kai on his feet he guided him out of the bathroom and into his bed. He moved the covers and laid him down, pulling the covers over him. Tala moved away the damp bangs away from Kai’s face and stared at the face of his friend.
“Rest up, and don’t do anything else like this please.” He grabbed Kai’s hand and gave it a squeeze. “I know you blame yourself for everything and there is no way I can comfort you or realize what you are going through, but Kai this is not like you. You are stronger than this and that is the reason why Wyatt loved you, for your strength. He would be hurt to see you the way you are now, so please if not for me do it for him. Be strong; try to understand that you are not to blame and that Wyatt is now in a better place. Be strong for him and for yourself. Kai everything will be alright, trust me.” He leaned down and kissed him on the forehead, he slowly pulled away and saw the tears streaming down the side of the dual hair’s face. Tala lay down and hugged him while Kai cried in silence.
“I will always be with you, you can always trust me.”


~END OF FLASHBACK~



“Hey Rei. Come on in son.” Ki Shou waved for the raven hair to step inside the room.
He did so; he sat across from his father who was seated in bed.
“You are here early. No class?”
“Not until the afternoon.”
“How about dance practice?”
“…At 9.”
“Oh you have an hour then.”
“Yeah.”
“Want some?” The man pointed at the tray of breakfast on his lap.
“No its okay, not hungry.”
“Okay. Can you just help me move this aside then?”
“Sure.” He stood from his seat and walked over to his father’s bed, moving the tray aside.
Suddenly he was pulled into Ki Shou’s arms, startling the raven hair.
“Dad?”
“Stop this please Rei. Stop lying to me, to your mother. Why can’t you just come and tell me? If you need to cry then please cry on me.”
“…Why are you saying all of this dad?”
“I can see it, something happened and yet you do not share it. I was young too Rei, I was in love and confused. I know what it is like.” He hugged his boy tighter. “Please, where has my little boy gone, where has my son with joy and fire in his eyes gone too?”
Rei was able to hear and feel the trembling in his father’s voice. The man wanted to cry; yet he held it in.
“You have no idea how its like dad…you can’t begin to imagine what I am going through right now.” Rei pulled away from the embrace and looked at his father with eyes that held no emotion.
“Rei…?”
“Dad, that pain that I felt when I wanted to kill myself…its back but ten fold. Your old son…he died a long time ago and no matter how hard I try to bring him back, he just won’t stay, he does not want to live this life. He is happier where he is now, in an isolated world of darkness, sleeping. He doesn’t need to suffer like the Rei you see now. This Rei is alone, he cannot change his life now, all he wants to do is end it but no matter what…he cannot…cause he loves you and mother…and he loves his friends and Salima…but especially, he deeply loves and longs for Kai…yet—“ Before he was able to finish there was a knock at the door and a nurse stepped in.
“Mr. Ki Shou it is time for your rehabilitation work.”
“Uh may I have 30 minutes please…I need to talk to my son.”
“Well I am not sure.”
“Please this is important.”
The nurse bit her lower lip and began to think it over, she looked at Rei and noticed that the boy was having some problems, she then looked over at the older man and noticed the plead in his eyes.
“Just buzz when you are ready, take your time.”
“Thank you.”
She smiled and closed the door giving them privacy.
Ki Shou turned his attention back to his son, he grabbed his wrist and pulled him in for another hug, he began to stroke the boy’s hair.
“What has happened? Please tell me. Don’t hide it, it is only tearing you inside more and more.”
“Dad…I screwed up again…I lost him this time and it hurts me so much, I feel like I lost a piece of myself…he doesn’t want me anymore…”
“Kai told you this? Why? What did you talk about that made him upset?”
“He was here all this time, he saw me…he saw me kissing Salima. He thought we were being intimate since she was naked, but it was not like that, I was giving her a kiss but for a goodbye kiss. He walked in on that and ran out. He thinks I am with her and told me that he is done with me and was only using me…I tried to stop him but…”
“That’s why your face is injured…”
The boy nodded.
“I knew it…I knew something happened. He hit you…”
“He socked me twice…and walked off.”
“Why?”
“I told you…”
“Why are you two playing games with each other?”
Rei looked up at his father and saw anger in his face but was crying.
“Games…you two are playing games with each other…”
“Dad?”
“This is not how it is? Why does everyone do things like this to each other? You are only playing games and both are losing…by hurting each other.”




Lanfei paced the dance room nervously; Rei did not show up for class and was not answering his cell phone or room phone. She called Takao and asked him if he has seen her kitten, but had no luck. The class was practicing but she told Brooklyn she needed to take a break do to her worrying. Jin was sent out to look for the boy about an hour ago. She jumped as soon as she felt a hand rest on her shoulder. She turned around and was greeted by Garland.
“Lanfei please try to calm down.”
“I can’t. My Rei-rei is an hour late…almost two.”
“I am sure he is fine.”
“Garland what if that bastard Boris got his hands on my kitten!? If something happened to my Rei-rei…Garland I will die if I lose my baby…” Tears tried to escape but the woman held them back.
The taller man pulled her into a hug, she cling on his tightly as he comforted her.
“Nothing happened, don’t think like that. Boris wouldn’t be stupid enough to show his face around here. Maybe he slept in or is stuck at the hospital. Why not call Ki Shou?”
“Ah yes! I’ll call Ki Shou!”
“Better yet what if I call Hitoshi and ask him to swing by the hospital and see for himself.”
“Would you?”
“Of course. Now please relax and don’t worry. Try to practice the dances, the kids might want to know what is going on and a commotion might happen.”
“You are right.”
“I’ll call right now.”
“Thank you.” She kissed him on the cheek and calmed herself down, making her way toward the students to assist.
He pulled out his cell phone and made his way toward a more secluded area. He began to dial up Jin’s number he got from Brooklyn not to long ago. It rang for about three times and finally Hitoshi picked up.
“Hello?”
“Jin its Garland.”
“Rei arrived?”
“No, but Lanfei is seriously worrying over here. I told her that you could go see Ki Shou and ask him if he has heard from Rei or maybe he is there.”
“Yeah, right away.”
“Thanks.”
“Yeah.”
With that they hung up.
“Garland?”
The taller man jumped a bit in surprise, turning around he was face to face with Jejung.
“Ah hey what’s up?”
“Did something happen to Rei?”
“What makes you say that?”
“Mrs. Lanfei seems worried, she cannot concentrate and also I need to go over some moves with him but he still isn’t here.”
“Yeah well he is still with his father at the hospital, he must have lost track of time. So don’t worry.”
“Alright.”
“Listen Jejung why not you and the others perform something for everyone hm? Give Lanfei a show so she can try to relax. What do you say?”
“We can do that.”
“Do ‘Hug’, that song is a real nice one.”
“Okay, I’ll go tell the others.”
“Great thanks.”
The boy smiled and made his way to his friends.


“Julia may I ask you something?” Jejung made his way to the Spanish girl who was seating on the stage with her friends.
“Ah of course!” She quickly jumped up and made her way toward him. “You can ask me anything!” She gave him a sweet smile.
“Thank you.” He smiled back. “I was wondering if you can get everyone off the stage and sit them over at the seats.”
“Oh how come?”
“Dong Bong Shin Ki would like to perform for everyone.”
“Ah really!?”
“Yes, so please while I talk with my group can you do that for me?”
“Yes right away!”
“Thanks.” He hugged her making her blush and giggle. With that he went over and began to call over his friends. They all walked over to him and Jejung began to talk to them while Julia began telling everyone to get off with the help of Ming-Ming.
“What’s up Jejung?” Junsun asked his friend.
“Well you do know that Rei is not here.”
“You mean that guy you work with?” Yucheon leaned against the table that held the water and other refreshments for the dance class.
“Yeah, he is Mrs. Lanfei’s son.”
“Ah yes she told me that he loves cooking.” Changmin said with a smile. “What’s wrong? Why isn’t he here?”
“Well Garland told me he might be at the hospital with his father but Mrs. Lanfei is really worried and—“
“You want to cheer her up right?” Yunho gave his friend a cheeky smile.
“Tch. Why are you smiling at me like that?” Jejung asked him with a bit of annoyance in his voice.
“Oh I get it. Is our Jejung growing up already?” The oldest of the group went over to his friend who was now blushing and began to ruffle his hair.
“Stop it! I’m almost 19! You guys are all the same age too you know!”
“Yeah true, except for Changmin. He’s still a baby.” Junsun looked over at the youngest who just gave a pout.
“Okay so what do you want to do lover boy?”
“Stop it Yucheon.” He pushed his friend’s hand away from his head. “Garland asked me if we could perform for everyone? You know give them a break and also to help Mrs. Lanfei to calm down, also if we perform we might give time for Rei to show up.”
“Oh that’s great! I like that. So what song shall we perform?” Changmin smiled widely at the thought.
“How about ‘Whatever They Say’?” Yunho suggested.
“I say ‘The Way You Are’ that is upbeat and it is a fun song.” Junsun looked over at his friends for approval.
“I want to perform ‘Hug’ after all who doesn’t need a hug when you are down right?” Jejung looked at them all with a smile.
“Sure. It is for your crush after all.” Yucheon smiled at his blushing friend.
“Jerk. Anyways come on let’s go. I asked Julia to clear the stage and it looks like she accomplished it.”
“Jejung you think we can do it without music?” Changmin asked with a bit of worry in his voice.
“You know we can! Just imagine the music. Don’t worry we will do fine.” He placed a hand on his younger friend’s shoulder and gave it a quick squeeze.
“Okay.”
“Let’s go then.” Junsun said as he made his way to the center of the stage followed by the rest.


“Julia, dear why are we all seating? We should be practicing?”
“I know Mrs. Kon, but Garland wants us to take a breather.”
“Brooklyn you don’t mind?” The older woman looked over at the orange hair who was seated next to her.
“Well Garland is in control for this production so I don’t really have much to say. Besides we are all doing a fantastic job so no worries if we do relax for a while” He gave her a smile.
“If you say so.” She sighed and leaned back a little. “Oh why are the boys standing there?” She pointed toward the stage where the boys were all standing there.
Garland came along with four black cordless microphones and handed them each one.
“What’s going on?” Lanei looked at Brooklyn once more who only had a smile on his face. “Brookyln wh—“
Suddenly she stopped when she heard a voice come out from the speakers located around the room. Her attention went back to the four boys and there she saw them moving and Jejung was singing a mellow melody that sounded sweet. His voice was sweet which made the song even sweeter. In about 23 seconds he was done with his course and Yucheon jumped in to sing his course.
“They are…are they performing for us?” Lanfei looked quickly at Brooklyn who nodded in response, but kept his eyes glued to the performance.
She looked back at the group that was now singing together the beautiful melody, even without the background music the song sounded lovely. She stared at them all and noticed them all smiling, mostly directing it toward her. She smiled back at them as they continue their performance; every girl in the class began to scream as the boys continue their song and dance.

Rei grabbed the can from the machine and opened it; he took a sip from the cold drink and made his way back toward the room, slowly.
“Excuse me! Young man?”
He stopped and turned around to see a nurse making her way toward him.
“Yes?”
“Have you seen a girl about 7 wearing a pink beanie on her head and a mask?”
‘Is she talking about Millie?’ “No I’m sorry. Is it serious?”
“No. Thank you.” With that she went away looking for the girl.
“Millie…I haven’t visited her…I should, I feel terrible for not seeing her.”
The raven hair began to look around the hospital checking under anything where the girl might be. He was wondering around for 30 minutes, he sighed and rested against a wall near a cart holding dish trays. He did not bother checking it since there was nowhere to hide for the girl.
‘I am such an idiot, I promised I would visit her…but two months past and I never dropped by to say hi. She must be sad.’ He closed his eyes as he felt guilt enter him.
“Millie, come back! Please don’t run not with your condition!”
Rei heard a woman’s voice call out. He stood up and made his way around the corner to suddenly have the little girl smack herself hard against him.
She gasped and looked up to be greeted by golden yellow eyes looking down on her.
“Rei?”
“Hey Millie.”
“Ah Rei!!!” She hugged him tightly as he petted her head.
“Millie!” The nurse came and was about to grab the girl but she quickly moved behind Rei and was avoiding the hand reaching for her.
“No!”
“You must go back to your room.”
“I’m bored in there! I want to play with Rei!”
“Millie, please don’t argue with me.”
“Miss, is it alright if she stays with me for a bit? I promise to bring her back to her room.”
“I am not sure if that is acceptable. Are you family?”
“No.”
“Than I cannot allow that, I am sorry. Now come along young lady.”
“No! No! No!”
The nurse began to chase her around Rei, they were running around him like he was a poll.
“Stop. Millie, please!” The nurse pleaded as they continue the silly looking chase.
Finally Rei had enough he swooped the little girl in his arms.
“Is it alright then if I take her to her room? You may of course come along. I can keep her company so she won’t run out again.”
“Sir I don’t think that is such a good—“
“Please let him stay with me! Rei is my friend!! I really want him to play with me.” She wrapped her arms around his neck.
“…Alright, let us go then. But Millie you better promise me to stay in the room and if anything is to happen call me or anyone else.”
“Yes!” She smiled and nuzzled her head under the raven hair’s neck making him laugh. They all began to make their way toward her room.
They took the elevator to the third floor where the children were located and made their way toward her area, which was in room 308. They went inside and Rei placed the young girl on her bed. He patted her head and he walked over to take a seat on one of the visitor chairs that was located in front of her bed. The nurse made sure the girl was comfortable and walked out glancing back at the raven hair.
“She will be fine.” He gave her a reassuring smile and she only nodded stepping out.
As soon as the nurse stepped out, Millie jumped out of her bed and sat on top smiling at Rei.
“I missed you Rei. I thought you were never going to show up. I was beginning to think that you might have forgotten about me.”
“Sorry about that, I know I promised to visit but a lot has been going on, I have been real busy with a dance production at college.”
“Oh you dance?” Her eyes widen in pure excitement.
“Yeah, I am a born dancer.” He smiled at her.
“Oh oh can you dance for me? Please? I would like that very much!”
“I don’t know if that is allowed here. I might get us in trouble”
“They won’t say anything, it’s my room. I want to see you dance.”
The raven hair looked at her and noticed her eyes with pure joy; he began to think about it.
“Do you have a radio?”
“Yes! Mama brought me a radio to keep me company!” She jumped off her bed and pulled out a small red radio from under the bed. She pulled the red radio out with a smile and placed it near the nightstand. She plugged it in and began to scan around radio stations. She stopped at one with an upbeat. She turned her attention back to the raven hair who now had a brow lifted up as he heard the intro of the song.
“You serious? I mean I hear a lot of people don’t like that song.”
“I like it! Dance now!”
Rei sighed and continue to listen to the song in order to get the feel of it. The song that the little girl wanted him to dance to was the song ‘Dragostea din tei (English)’ sung by O Zone and Lucas. (A/N: I like the song so you better all keep your comments to yourself about it okay? Good ^^)
Finally the raven hair had the beat, he moved the chairs away giving him enough room to dance. He went back into position and started to move with the beat (A/N:DDR character style XD) Suddenly he began to move more and started doing a dance of party and martial arts. The girl started clapping as she watched the raven hair and his amazing moves. Break dancing, fancy footwork, and even a handstand, that had the girl cheering louder.
Rei smiled back at the girl and grabbed her by the hand dragging her off the bed; he then started to lead her in a dance. She shyly followed his steps and soon they were both dancing with the song. Millie started laughing and jumping around holding tightly on his hands. The raven hair’s smile grew as he watched the joyful laugh and look on the little girl. It made him feel happy and made him forget about what has been going on.
“What’s going on here!?” A loud voice called out.
They both stopped and looked over to the door and saw an older nurse standing there, angry. The music was loud that they were unable to hear the door opening.
The two stopped their dancing and stared at the nurse who made her way toward the radio and quickly shut it off. She looked at Millie then her eyes went toward Rei.
“And who are you?”
“I am”
“He’s Rei and he is my friend”
“Leave now young man! You are not allowed here unless her parents are here!”
“I am sorry. I was just keeping her company.”
“That is why we are here. She is not allowed to do any activity that will excite her! You should know that, her condition could worsen due to something like this.” She stared at the raven hair with an angry look.
Rei simply bowed.
“I’m sorry, I really am. I didn’t think about the consequences. I’ll leave now.”
“No Rei!” Millie extended her hand toward him and grabbed him by the wrist trying to stop him.
“Don’t worry, I’ll visit when you are all better.” He turned around and smiled at the small girl who had on a look of disappointment. He patted her head and gently released her grip.
“I’ll ask my momma and daddy! So come back soon please!”
“You bet.”
She hugged him around the waist making him feel a bit surprised but he shuddered the feeling and hugged her back.
“Be good Millie. And don’t run from them anymore okay? Get healthy so we can play real soon.”
“Yeah!” She pulled away and smiled at him. He smiled back and made his way out of the girl’s hospital room.
The door was rudely shut behind him, he just sighed and made his way back toward his father’s room. He made his way toward the elevators; he waited for the elevator to make its way up on to the third floor.
It finally arrived and the double doors opened. He was about to step in when he was face to face with Jin.
“Rei!”
“What are you doing here?” He stayed out of the elevator.
“Your mother is worried about you. She has been—“ The doors started to close, the older man quickly pushed the doors apart and pressed the door open button to keep them open. “Your mother was calling you all morning long, she is worried. Well she was worried that something…Rei your face…” He began to scan the boy’s injured face.
The raven hair quickly turned his head in order to prevent Jin from seeing his injured face.
“Come on get in. I’ll take you back to college.” Grabbing Rei’s wrist he pulled him inside the elevator and allowed the doors to close. It began to ascend to the 5th floor. The raven hair kept his head down as he felt the older man’s eyes staring at his face.
“What happened? Did Boris get to you again?” His voice was filled with concern and fright.
Rei kept his head down.
“I just fell and I smacked myself against the door real hard.”
Jin just stared at the boy, he knew he was lying he was about to asks once more, when suddenly the elevator stopped and the raven hair quickly stepped out. The older man quickly followed.
They both stepped inside Ki Shou’s room.
“Jin?” The older man lifted a brow up as he saw Hitoshi standing behind the raven hair. “What are you doing here?”
“Lanfei was worried about Rei that she asked if I could come over and see if he was here. And of course he is.”
“Oh right. Rei you have practice.”
“I don’t feel like go—“
“You are going, got it! Stop acting like a baby!”
The two both stared at the man in shock.
“I did not raise a baby. Now you straighten yourself up and go to class. Act as if nothing happened and make this production work. You only have a week! You promised Garland you wouldn’t let him down. But you are by skipping class in order to feel sorry for yourself. Now go over there practice and tell your mother not to worry. You hear me!?” He stared at his son with harden eyes.
“Yes sir.” The raven hair bowed and headed out of the room.
“Don’t you think that was a bit harsh?”
“He is my son, I must talk to him and treat him the way I think is best. He at the moment needs to be told. I give up on trying to feel his pain. With his attitude he is slowly drawing more people to fall down with him. I cannot allow that. Now please take him and tell Lanfei to visit after practice please.”
“Yes.” Jin bowed and followed Rei.
Ki Shou rested back and sighed.
“Kids…they will never learn anything…”



“Take it from the top!” Garland called out to the group. Everyone sighed and began to shuffle back into their places.
“Yo Rei!” Jejung waked over to the raven hair who was at the refreshment table getting a bottle of water.
“Hey.”
“Glad you came after all.”
“I have no choice. I asked for it.” He chuckled.
“Um…do you mind if I ask you something? Of course you don’t need to answer if you don’t want to.”
“Go ahead.”
“Did you get in a fight? I mean your face looks pretty bad.”
“…” The raven hair turned around and placed the bottle down. “I better get in place or they’ll have my head.”
With that he moved away from the table and the other boy making his way toward the center of the stage to get in place with the rest of the dancers.
Jejung just watched him. ‘I wonder what happened? I guess it is none of my business anyways.” With that he made his way as well toward the center.
“Okay my demons, and I do not mean that literally.” The taller man laughed at his own joke. “Let me feel it. Give me that you are talking about the outside world and that makes no sense.” He chuckled. “You read your parts you read the scripts so you all know what I am talking about. Jin play the music! Get ready everyone!”
The music began to play and everyone just stood in certain areas around the stage like statues and waited for their cue. The song was at first soft and you hear violins and a voice talking everyone moved away from their places slowly making their way around the front of the stage they all stood in place and waited till the voice was done. The violin and soft part of the song was done and was soon replaced by a electric guitar and the group all lower themselves as if they were stretching and then they quickly like a jolt of electricity struck them, they threw their arms to the side and straighten out. Throwing their chests out. Each did a small turn in their spots and stopped to throw their arms up on the air (A/N: Like raising the roof XD) After that they all began to do some other moves (A/N: That I am not able to describe so sorry about that, use your imaginations =P) After their movements they all stood in place keeping their face turned away from where the audience is, and then Yucheon, the oldest of the group began to sing, they all began take heavy steps forward and then they all made a small little shoulder movement as he continued to sing.
Jejung jumped to the front and they all lifted one arm up in the air pointed up to the skies as he began to sing, different movement from Yucheon’s start and they continued soon Yunhon moved toward Jejung’s spot and began to sing, his dance moments were different from his friends, it was more like hand movement with martial arts. He moved away with everyone to move to the back to allow Changmin to take over and do his part, but the younger singer failed his step and came in to late.
“Stop!”
The music was abruptly stopped making everyone stop in the same matter.
“Changmin that was your part” Garland looked over at the younger one.
“I know…I’m sorry Garland, I was in the back.”
“Why are you in the back? In the beginning you four need to be in the front in order to do the switches. Junsun comes after you, but he was in your place. Now will you four get it together? For those who need to be in the back make sure you are in the back. This is only the intro and Dong Bong Shin Ki need to be seen in the beginning. Do you al know what a prologue is?” He looked at every student who was on stage or somewhere else waiting for his or her part. They all nodded. “This is a prologue understand. So don’t star making any moves in order for you all to be seen or show off your moves, allow them to be seen first and you all just follow as we been practicing for two months now!”
“Garland let’s take a break.” Brooklyn walked up next to him seeing the tense in his friend.
“Brook we need to get this perfect! Two months and yet we are all screwing it up.”
The orange hair placed his hand on the taller man’s shoulder and began to squeeze it in order to calm him down.
“Just give them 20 minutes.”
“…” His shoulders began to loosen up as he felt the handgrip on it. “Okay 20 minutes.”
“Thanks. Meet you in the office for some coffee okay?”
“Yeah sure.”
Brooklyn released the grip and made his way toward the left exit, which actually led to the small practice dance room and his office.
“Okay, take a 20 minute break! So go get yourself a snack or just stretch out your muscles, but be back here at 1:20 and no later then that! Do I make myself clear?”
The entire class responded with a yes.
He made his way toward where Brooklyn went leaving the class to go about their business.
“Rei-rei?”
The raven hair turned to see his mother signaling for him to go over to her. At first he hesitated, but seeing his mother’s look made him go over to her.
As soon as he was near her he was pulled into a tight embrace. She began to stroke his hair even though it was sweaty.
“My kitten I was so worried. What happened sweetie? Your face your lovely face is injured.” She pulled away and began to slowly run her fingers along his face gently touching at the bruised nose and cut lip. “Did he—“
“If you are talking about Boris, the answer is no he did not do this to me.”
“Then who did? Kitten, was it a bully?”
“Ma let’s not talk about it here.”
“But Rei-rei…” She ran her hand down his face and rested it on his right side, as he gently pressed closer to her touch.
“Mama…please…” He grabbed her hand and pressed closer as he felt her warm hand against his skin.
“Kitten tell me. Tell Mama.” She ran her other hand down his hair as she felt tears against her palm. “You can tell mama anything…”


~FLASHBACK~
“Well good morning my little sleepy heads.” Lanfei smiled as the two children stumbled inside the kitchen. “ Glad you decided to finally wake up.” She watched them as they both sat at the table. “I hope you both are hungry, I made you a hearty breakfast.”
“Where’s Papa?” The raven hair began to look around the small kitchen looking for his father as if he were hiding.
“He is at the moment in town on a phone call. He will be back soon.” She walked over with some plates placing them in front of the two children. She walked back to the stove and grabbed the small pot that carried the rice.
“Mama?”
“Yes kitten?” She poured some rice on his plate, and then she made her way toward the small dual hair’s plate.
“How do you make a baby?”
Lanfei dropped the pot and stared at her son with a surprised and flustered face. She looked down at the spilled rice and kneeled down to quickly clean it up.
“Wait until your father comes, then we can discuss it together.”
“Okay.”
With that said she continued cleaning up the mess. After a few she once more began to serve the children breakfast.
“Now eat it all up, especially you Kai. You’ll need your strength for today’s practice.”
“Yes Mrs. Lanfei.”
She smiled at him. She walked over to the counter and began to clean up as the children began to enjoy the delicious breakfast.

The boys finished their breakfast and made their way toward the living room to play while Lanfei cleaned up.
“I’m home!”
“Papa!”
Rei ran toward his father as he stepped inside the small house. The raven hair threw himself against his father and hugged him tightly around the waist.
“Whoa. Hey there tiger.” He ruffled his son’s hair.
“Did you get me anything?”
“Why would I get you anything? It isn’t your birthday.”
The young Rei gave a small pout as his father chuckled pulling away from his son’s hug.
“But I do recall someone’s birthday coming up in two days.” He looked over at small dual hair and gave a smile.
“Are we going to have a party for Kai, papa?”
“A party huh? Kai would you like that?”
“…I guess so.”
“Yay!” The raven hair jumped up in the air.
“Great. Back home how did you celebrate your birthday?” He walked over to the dual hair and placed his hand on the boy’s head.
“Usually it was just I and the servants.”
“No friends? What about your grandfather wasn’t he there to celebrate at least?”
Kai shook his head ‘no’ making the older man look confused.
“Grandfather always says that celebrating a meaningless day is just a way to show you are a pathetic person. He said that having a party to celebrate your years of wasted life is only a waste. Receiving gifts is like receiving sympathy, and he does not want me to have any of that. So when ever my birthday came along he would leave town and the servants would just lay me out a small cake and say ‘Happy Birthday’ nothing else.”
Kai began to rub his upper arm feeling a bit nervous after telling Ki Shou his little story of his birthday experiences.
‘How can that man say such bull to a child? Bastard…’Ki Shou pulled his hand away from the boy’s head and just smiled at him. “Well Kai your grandfather is not here, which means we can throw you a big party. We will have the greatest party ever! There will be dancing, singing, music, delicious foods, games, and a whole lot of other things. See we have a tradition to always throw a happy and excellent birthday. So my son in two days you will be experiencing that moment.”
“…Really?” The little dual hair looked at them man with anticipation.
“You bet! Rei’s husband deserves the best!” He grinned wider at the boy.
“Ki Shou!” Lanfei yelled out from the kitchen.
The man chuckled. “I am only teasing honey!” He called out to her knowing she was already steaming mad. “You two just go on and play. Kai we will begin practice after I have my breakfast.”
“Okay Mr. Ki Shou.” He smiled at the man, making the older man ruffle the boy’s hair and smile back at him. He walked away from the children and made his way toward the kitchen.
He peeked his head inside the kitchen to see if his wife was waiting for him with a knife or something murderous, but instead saw her with her back facing him. He smiled and made his way toward the women. He was about to wrap his arms around her waist when suddenly he got a hard smack over his head.
“Ouch!” He winced in pain and backed away to look at his angry glaring wife. “What was that for? I said I was just teasing.”
“I asked you a while ago to stop saying such things in front of the children, it will make them question.”
“Come on Lanfei they know I am only kidding.”
“They are children! They believe everything you say!”
“So? What’s the big deal?”
“The big deal dear! Is they will start asking questions and not to mention that they might you know…”
“Lanfei are you serious? You are worried they will turn out gay?”
“Of course not! I am just worried about them doing it! They are way to young to do such things! I will not have my little Rei-rei lose his virginity until he is 30 or until he is married.”
“Come on Lanfei. They are barely children. You act like they are already trying to make love to each other.”
“Ki Shou your son asked me how you make a baby?”
“Tch. You are seriously over reacting. All children go through that stage where they ask where babies come from.”
“What if he wants to know how so he and Kai can make one!? I am to young to be a grandmother!!”
The man just stared at his wife who continued to babble on. Soon the man started to laugh hysterically, making his wife look at him with a death glare.
“What is so funny?”
“The way you are acting. Now just calm down okay, we will explain to the boys that the only way to have a baby to between a man and a women.”
“But they will ask why?”
“Simple cause women have hips.”
“But they will ask how does that make a difference?”
“Cause they have support to carry the little bundle and it is easier for them to give birth.”
“They will ask where does the baby come from!”
“We will just say the v—“
“NO!!!! My baby is to young to hear such words. Just lie and say they need to wait until they are 18 and the stork will come along and deliver their baby.”
The man smirked; he pulled his wife in for a hug and kissed her on the forehead.
“You are one silly woman. No wonder I fell in love with you.” He leaned down and kissed her romantically on the lips.
“Are you making a baby?”
They both pulled away and looked toward the entrance to see Rei and Kai standing there, watching them.
The women pulled away and began to grab her husband’s meals while the man only laughed. Making the to boys stare at them in confusion.


Two days passed and the entire village was gathering for the birthday party Ki Shou promised the small dual hair. Their family, relatives, and friends all came along, mostly everyone in the entire small village was there for the party. Lanfei was greeting everyone thanking them for the gifts and meals they were brining.
Ki Shou was inside trying to convince the now shy Kai to step outside and greet the entire village. Rei was with his father trying hard to get his best friend to step out of the bedroom and go outside to have fun.
“Come on son. Can’t you hear them? They are all very excited to be here.”
“Mr. Ki Shou why did you invite the entire village…no one even knows me here.”
“Hey when we throw parties everyone gathers around no matter for who it is. We are all like family here. Now come on I want them all to meet the birthday boy.”
“…”
“Please Kai! It will be a lot of fun. You can meet my friends and make new ones with me. We can dance together too. Please I want to dance with you.” The small raven hair gave a small puppy dog look at Kai.
The small dual hair blushed and tried to look away, but his glance continued to make its way toward Rei.
“…Okay…” He whispered.
“Yay!” The small raven hair cried out loud and grabbed him by the hand quickly dragging him out toward the party that was being held in the large backyard.
“Mama we’re here!” The small raven hair cried out happily as they stepped outside where everyone stopped talking to look over at them.
“Ah! Everyone the birthday boy has finally arrived!” Lanfei said out loud and began to clap with everyone soon following.
Kai blushed a dark shade of red as everyone cheered and clapped.
“Everyone lets give Kai here a damn good party!” Ki Shou called out as he placed his hand over the small shoulder giving it a squeeze.
More clapping and yelling was heard.
“Brother Lau! Brother Naguri! Play that music!” Ki Shou called out toward the people holding the instruments.
“Ki Shou get over here and dance then!” The man named Lau called out and smiled at the man.
“Tch! Fine if it will get you playing.” He looked around for a bit and then smiled once more. “Sister Yohfa, care to dance with me?” The man made his way toward an elegant looking young lady.
“If Sister Lanfei doesn’t mind.” She said in a sweet voice.
“Of course not. Go ahead.” The older women smiled at them.
Ki Shou extended his hand toward the girl and took her toward where the musicians were playing and they both began to dance in the center of a crowd who began clapping.
“Oh Kai let’s dance!” Little Rei said as he tugged on the dual hairs hand.
“But.”
“Rei-rei the children want to play with you both!” Lanfei called out toward the two boys who still stayed at the door entrance.
He looked over at his mother and saw all of these boys and girls gathered around her waving at them.
“I want to dance first!” With that he quickly dragged the dual hair toward where his father was dancing.
They made their way through the crowd and stopped to watch Ki Shou and Yohfa dance together. They were laughing, Ki Shou moved her while he moved, teaching her the moves.
“Our turn!” Rei pushed through and dragged the embarrassed Kai with him. They began to slow dance (Awww XD) Women began to sing along with the music while they watched the two boys dance together, Kai stumbled a lot during the dance but soon got the hang of it.
He stared at the smiling raven hair who leaned in and kissed him on the cheek, everyone yelled out in joy and the music began to go up beat once more and everyone danced along, Kai just blushed as they all held hands and danced in a circle type dance.
“How about we all eat!?” Lanfei called out toward the crowd.
“Yes!” They all called back toward her.
“Then all the strong men please help set out the tables, they are all leaning against the wall.” She pointed toward the pile of tables. All the men walked toward them and began to set them all up while the women began to assist Lanfei bring out the food and dinner utensils.
Kai and Rei just talked and played with the rest of the village kids while everything was being set up.
After 30 minutes of getting everything all organized Rei’s mother called out toward the children to come and eat.
The children quickly ran toward the small table set up for them and took their seats in order to be served.
There was laughing, eating, and a lot of enjoyment going on. The music continued, everyone danced, cheered, and watched as the small dual hair opened up his gifts and tasted the sweets some gave to him.
Lanfei came out of the house with three other women assisting her in carrying a large cake. Everyone ‘awed’ as they saw the large cake with red frosting, gold trimming on the edges and a large wooden phoenix set on the top of the cake. They placed it down in front of the dual hair that stared at the cake in amazement. There were eight candles lit and everyone gathered around him singing happy birthday.
“Make a wish Kai!” Rei and the other children cried out.
The small dual hair looked around and saw all of the smiling faces, young, old, adults, they were all smiling at him waiting for the boy to blow out the candles. He took in a deep breath and with all of his might blew out the candles in one good blow.
They all clapped and cheered.
Lanfei began to cut away at the large cake and with the help of others began to serve around the delicious cake.
“Brother Reiya why don’t you perform something special for our dear Kai?” Lanfei asked as she passed more cake around.
The man she talked too was a handsome young man who only bowed his head. He moved away from the group and with a few others grabbed some instruments.
There was one on and acoustic guitar, an accordion, and the drums that were set earlier. A violin, and the instrument Reiya had was a flute.
“Now Kai this is a special song Brother Reiya and his group wrote for you.” Ki Shou looked at the small boy and smiled.
The dual hair looked over at the group and soon a soft melody began to play. The guitar first began with a few strung notes, soon the beautiful flute began to play a solo, and it was gorgeous. The music floated in the air, the man playing it was simply gorgeous. He kept his eyes closed while he played the soft melody. Then the music became more up beat. The man opened his eyes and they smiled toward Kai as he continued playing. The rest of the instruments joined in.
Everyone ate and talked while the music continued playing. The small dual hair kept his eyes set on the players.
Suddenly they all stopped their playing, making everyone look around in question.
“Mr…Hiwatari?” Ki Shou looked over at the gate on the right side. He made his way toward the angry looking man. “Sir what are you doing here?”
The old man stared at him with anger.
“I have the rights to come here. My grandson is here and I can visit if I wish to!” He roughly pushed Ki Shou away and made his way toward the small dual hair that lowered his head. “What is the meaning of this!?” He barked at the boy.
“Mr. Hiwatari today is your grandson’s birthday.” Lanfei said to him.
“I know that! But this! All of this!? I left Kai here so he wouldn’t be exposed to such trivial exploits. But I was proved wrong. You have a lot of nerve throwing MY grandson a birthday party, especially without my consent.”
“We just thought that the boy needed a break from all the training and give him some fun.”
“Kai is not here for fun! I did not leave him here so he can have a vacation! He is here for discipline! I will not have a pathetic child grow up to take over the family heir!”
“He is only a child sir. Why treat him with such manner? He needs to grow up as a child not as an adult!!!” Ki Shou yelled out loud and gave a cold stare at the old man.
“He is my child! I raise him how I want! And I will not have you beasts show him such foul ways of living!”
“Beasts!?” The entire crowd yelled out in horror.
“Hey old man, you are ruining Kai’s party.” Rei walked over at the man and glared up at him.
“Move child.” He roughly shoved the small raven hair away and grabbed Kai by the arm yanking him off the chair and dragging him away while everyone yelled at the old man.
“Come back with my Kai! You can’t just take him away!” The small raven hair chased after the old man and the small dual hair.
“Rei come back!” Lanfei called out as her son ran after the two.
“Pathetic child. I left you here to learn and that did not include fun!” He dug his fingers deeply into the small boy’s arm making the child wince.
“Kai! Kai come back!”
The old man threw the dual hair inside the black car and stepped inside. The driver started the engine and was about to drive off when suddenly Rei was pounding at the door and yelling to let Kai go.
“Drive Gustav.”
The man nodded and stepped on the pedal making Rei lose balance and fall roughly on his face.
The boy lifted his face from the dirt floor and watched the car speeding off, tears formed in his eyes and soon he started crying.
“Kai don’t leave me!” He started crying harder, letting the tears run down his dirty face.
“Kitten…” Lanfei kneeled down and picked up her son and hugged him. He buried his face in her bosom and cried harder.
“Mama! I want Kai back!” He cried out against her chest as she stroked his hair.
“I am sorry Rei-rei…I am so sorry….”
The small raven hair continued to cry hard against his mother.

GAH! Okay I know I said that I was going to end it with chapter 50 but hell this is so freaking long! I am not even half way done!!! DAMN IT ALL!!!!!!!! I was expecting to end it but so many thoughts came in mind and damn I can’t seem to finish it all in one chapter. 26 pages for this one! O_O Damn! Anyways I am sorry for the long update I lost my Internet unexpectedly and was not able to sneak into the college cause I got caught XD Long story for that. Also I was trying to complete the story but man I feel like it will take me longer like this. So here is my longest chapter, I hope you like it I kind of feel it sucking now.
