Chapter 6

Rim: Well, another chapter is here. Before I begin it, I just want to apologize if anyone thought the chapter was incomplete. My friend scolded me harshly when she read the last chapter…so I added this beginning part to even things out. And another apology for the long wait, I try so hard to make time for this and DYTME, honestly I do.

Trailing off from his sentence, Tala turned his eyes from Kai who seemed to be all but seething in where he stood to Tyson with a short grin curving up the corners of Tala’s mouth. “I came to see if Tyson wouldn’t mind sharing a dance with me.”

Tyson lifted wide blue eyes up to Tala, controlling his hands from shaking and spilling the drink in his hands. He couldn’t show Tala just how afraid he was, but what he didn’t know was that Tala could see his eyes, eyes that pained the red head to see because of the fear them. Something serious was not right between them. Kai wouldn’t be so jealous to do something to Tyson…would he?

“I-I-I have two left feet,” Tyson stammered. If he accepted Tala’s offer, Kai may hurt him worst later that night. Tyson under normal circumstances would not have minded, at a small time before hooking up with Kai, Tyson did have a thing for the red haired Russian captain of the Demolition Boys.

There were more than one or two times he thought about Tala on that sort of level which led to him touching himself in bed late at nights when no one was around. He remembered moaning Tala’s name into his pillow, imaging the other over him, taking him to a plain of pleasure far above heaven each time. But now…now those were the sort of thoughts which endangered his life. If Kai were ever to find out something like that, regardless of those feelings dying, he would kill Tyson for them.

Tala stared at Tyson sympathetically, what could be done to cheer up that blue angel. There may not be anything that he could do, but maybe he could at least see a long forgotten smile from his old crush. \"I\'m sure you\'re being modest, I bet you dance like an angel on a cloud, right Kai?\" Tala found Kai\'s eyes burning him to a near cinder, if that was at all possible. Bad comment, he told himself and making an agreement with his brain never to let those types of things pass his lips ever again.

\"May I have a word with you, Ivanov,\" Kai said, walking pass Tala towards the door.

\"Sure, what is it you have to say?\" Tala questioned.

\"Outside,\" Kai declared in a low even tone.

\"Um...okay, no problem.\" Tala followed Kai not just outside the hall where the celebration was taking place, but completely outside the building. The atmosphere, though quiet, felt heavy settling between the two that stood feet apart from each other. Tala knowing better than to invade Kai\'s personal space kept his distance from the other wearily, even more so now that the other looked pissed off. The last thing that Tala expected when Kai walked up to him was the fist in his jaw, throwing him back to the ground.

With bewildered azure eyes, Tala looked up at Kai in shock. Kai stared or rather glared down at his former friend on the ground, unfazed he just punched the hell out of the other for no entire reason. Or at least no reason that Tala could fathom in his mind. Raising a hand to his jaw, he began rubbing the aching area.

\"What the hell was that for?\" Tala shouted.

Kai continued to glare, his entire form tense with anger which seemed to seethe out of every pore. \"Stay the fuck away from Tyson, or I swear I\'ll slit your throat, Tala.\"

\"It\'s not against the law to be near him or even speak with him. Are you trying to control his life? That\'s it, isn\'t it? Why he\'s so afraid to smile,\" Tala retorted, not fearing that Kai may just snap and try to beat the hell out of him. He should have see it, Kai\'s attitude, Tyson\'s fear, all of it led to one thing that Tala was praying could not be the case.

\"It\'s none of your damn business, he\'s mine,\" Kai sneered. \"He doesn\'t want someone like you. I\'m warning you Ivanov, you better stay away from him so I don\'t have to kill your ass,\" Kai threatened darkly before walking away to leave Tala to pick himself up off the ground.

\"Shit...way to go Tala...\" the red head mutter to himself, continuing to rub his cheek in hopes of soothing it.

But his mind really was else where. If Kai did that to him without a problem, he could imagine the treatment Tyson received away from the eyes of others. And that put him on edge entirely. What exactly was he going to do? He couldn\'t just barge into Tyson\'s life and try to save him. That would only make things worse, seeing as how things were now, Tyson didn\'t need that. So...what was he going to do which wouldn\'t lead to Tyson being hospitalized or worse? With a sigh, the red head lifted his eyes to the sky, running a hand through his hair, a frown furling between his brows. It seemed that life just couldn\'t leave him the hell alone, no matter how much he wanted everything to finally be right.

-------oooo--------

Kai walked back into the hall, the activity in the room continuing without taking notice of the recent change of moods surrounding three individuals. Kai briskly heading back over to Tyson who was still shaking, thinking about all the things that were going to happen to him that night. Tyson was unaware of Kai’s return as he raised his cup to his lips, tasting the scotch as it rolled across his tongue, before he swallowed the fiery substance where it would warm the chill on his bones.

“Tyson,” Kai said in a low even voice.

Tyson raised his eyes to the older man, meeting the stare of liquid fire. Another chill settled on Tyson’s bones, not seeing Tala accompanying Kai. More than likely it was a strong possibility Kai had beat the hell out of Tala before telling the other not to ever come near Tyson again. Would Tala stay away now? Would he know what living for Tyson was like and…no…Tyson didn’t want to think about it. If Tala had an idea what was going on…at least Tyson had one person who might try to break these chains around his ankles.

“Kai…” Tyson start but the glint of fury in Kai’s eyes shut him up immediately.

“We’re leaving now.” It wasn’t a statement, oh no. It was a command which he had to follow through without questions. A sole nod replaced words as Tyson sat his cup of scotch down on the table he had been standing by and followed Kai. With a lone longing glance back towards the others who remained unaware, Tyson left, still sober by the fear which clung to his clammy skin. Silence spanned the space between the walk outside to the dark, barely lit parking lot where the dark blue Ferrari was parked.

Tyson reached for the door handle to the door, but found himself shoved against the hood of the car. Quickly spinning around, he was met with Kai’s fist in his jaw, tossing him fully on the hood, his head hitting the cold metal as he waited for the white dots to clear from his vision, only to discover hellish crimson eyes glowering down at him. Kai said nothing as he reached down, yanking Tyson up by his hair, a short yelp escaping his lips.

“K-Kai…” Tyson managed to say just as another fist struck him square in the face. Subsequently, Kai hurled Tyson to the ground, the blue haired young man falling directly face first into the asphalt, unable to catch himself. The pain splintered from his forehead down into the lower back of his neck, into his back as a heavy boot smashed into the central part of his spine. A high pitched scream erupted from Tyson’s now bloody lips.

“You little fucker, you thought I wouldn’t notice,” Kai sneered hatefully.

“What…what are you talking about?” Tyson choked out before the foot struck him in the ribs this time. Whimpering in pain, Tyson tried to crawl away, curling into a shuddering ball.

“Get up!” Kai shouted.

“Please…” Tyson begged.

“I said fucking get up, I’m not going to tell you again,” Kai warned.

“Kai…please,” Tyson sobbed.

“Fine, you little shit. You want it the hard way, I will fucking give it to you the hard way,” Kai growled, hauling Tyson up roughly by his ponytail.

Tyson stumbled and staggered, trying to get a hold of his bearings as Kai shook him. Of course, another fist to the face nearly dropped him to his knees if Kai still wasn’t holding him by his hair. Yanked up again, the next blow slammed into his temple, drawing blow which ran into his already swelling black eye. Kai opened the car door, shoving Tyson into the seat and slamming the door shut before going over to the other side and getting in.

“Why?” Tyson choked, curling himself into a protective ball in the seat. Kai put the key into the ignition starting the engine in silent fury. “Why…”

“How dare you ask me that imbecilic question,\" Kai spat, taking the car out of park and screeching out of the parking lot. The car sped down the empty streets, imitating its owner\'s own speeding anger.

“Is it about this morning?” Tyson whimpered.

“Don’t make me take my hands off this wheel and shut you up, Tyson,” Kai said darkly, turning a corner sharply. “Stop playing stupid you little bitch, you know exactly why I’m pissed. When we get back to the mansion…”

Tyson almost wished they didn’t get back, that Kai’s reckless abandonment of the speed limit would collide them with a car that had the right of way. Neither had their seat belts on, Kai clearly had to be going more than seventy-five miles per hour. The impact was enough to toss them both through the windshield, if Tyson was lucky, he would instantly die after his body hit a telephone pole or something and tried to wrap around it.

Or maybe he would live and Kai…no…not matter what he didn’t want Kai to die some horrible death. It wasn’t like him to wish for something so macabre, even if Kai did deserve…no…he could think like that, not ever. His heart may be scarred, but Kai hadn’t blackened it to the point Tyson would ever wish death on someone he once loved with his whole heart.

Tyson was suddenly jolted out of his thoughts when the car jerked to a stop, raising his head he found the mansion looming over him forebodingly. The car had stopped right outside the gates to the Hiwatari estate as Kai put the car in park, shutting off the engine. “Get out the car now.”

Cautious not to invoke Kai’s wrath anymore so than it is was riled, Tyson fumbled for the door handle with shaking fingers. Kai was already out the car when Tyson finally managed to push the door open and stumble out. By then, a fist was already in motion to impact with Tyson’s skull, forcing him once more that night to go face first into asphalt. The kick to the side turned him over, looking up at the archangel of fury Kai had become.

“You thought you were cute trying to flirt with that bastard did you? You thought I wouldn’t notice. Think I’m that stupid Tyson? Do you?” Kai sneered.

“I didn’t, I wasn’t trying—” Tyson stammered before a swift kick caught Tyson square in the face, releasing a half choked scream from the bluenette.

“Don’t you trying to fucking lie to me Tyson,” Kai roared, dropping down on top of Tyson, who wanted to get away but couldn’t. Paralysis took hold of him, terror that Kai might rape him right there without care of who might come along and find them. Kai leaned down, touching the tip of his nose to Tyson’s as ragged sobs exited the bloody lips. “You’re nothing but a worthless whore who would give it up to anyone who smiles your way. I’m going to have to teach you again you’re mine and no one else’s.”

“Don’t…don’t...please God don’t…” Tyson stuttered.

“God doesn’t save wretched whores like you Tyson,” Kai scoffed. “God doesn’t exist for you, not now, not ever.” Moving his face from Tyson’s, the first fist struck Tyson in the jaw, following with the left hands impact with the bridge of Tyson’s nose. The flurry of fists rained down on Tyson for quite some time, the occasion raised arms to shield the battered face earning the bluenette a blow the chest or stomach before the blows returned to the bloody face until the body could take it no more and went limp.

When Tyson came around, he was aware of someone lifting him into a gentle embrace, straining to force his eyes open, he could only catch a blurred face framed with dark colored hair. “Sa…ru…to…bi,” Tyson retched out painfully.

“Don’t speak, Master Tyson, go back to sleep,” the young butler said softly as he carried Tyson towards the house. “Don’t worry, Master Kai has finally settled down and told me to bring you inside the house. You’ll be under my care tonight until a doctor can get here in the morning.” This young man had begun working for Kai no more than two years ago, and was one of the only people Tyson could count on at the mansion to care for him during Kai’s rampant episodes. The young man had often talked to Tyson about getting him help.

But the last thing Tyson wanted was for the butler to be out of a job, or worst, get himself killed doing the noble thing of getting Tyson out of his abusive relationship. After his grandfather’s death, Kai seemed to have inherited the man’s ruthlessness to a tee. Tyson once witnesses the near death of a maid for flirting with Tyson during breakfast. The bluenette had no doubt worst would ensue if the butler got involved in the matter.

Saying nothing, Tyson listened to his wheezing, rattled breathing, coughing when a sharp pain stabbed his side. Ceasing an attempt to open his eyes, Tyson relaxed in the butler’s embrace, slipping again into the calming darkness of unconsciousness. There he dreamed of another time, of another Kai, and another life not filled with the misery of reality.

In the dreams, Kai smiled, he always loved Tyson and laughed like he use to. They went out in public, no fear of jealous rage spurring the dual haired man when someone spoke to Tyson and he spoke back. Everything was perfect and Tyson had nothing to worry about.

“Young man…can you hear me?” A female voice broke into Tyson’s perfect world. “Young man, can you hear me, I’m Doctor Minima?”

‘No…please just don’t. I don’t want to wake up. I want to remain here.’ First Tyson grew aware of the dull ache in his ribs, followed by the rising pain from his thighs, back, splintering into his arms; heading up to the tip of his temple. He was well aware that he couldn’t see. Forcing his eyes to open was a task in itself.

“Stop straining, both your eyes are swollen shut,” the woman’s voice said. “It will be quite some time before you’ll be able to open your eyes all the way. How do you feel, can you remember what happened?”

“Kai,” Tyson managed to croak out.

“I’m right here.” A cold hand lightly squeezed his, stroking the bruised hand. In Tyson’s temporary sightless world, the warm voice belonged to the dream Kai. Of course, Tyson knew the truth this farce didn’t change what happened, or who he was. It was all an act until they were alone. “You gave me quite a scare when I found you lying outside the gates…”

Tyson heard Kai’s voice hitch, trailing off then the sound of crying above him as the hand holding his tightened. Damn…he was a good actor, Tyson would almost believe him if he didn’t know the truth. If he didn’t know Kai was capable of fooling even God with this act. Tyson better think quickly, the doctor would question if he remembered what happened, how he was beaten to such a point. Hesitation might point fingers to Kai, hesitation always caused problems. Problems, he didn’t need anymore of.

“What…what happened to those…men…” Tyson wheezed out each breath, the irritating rattling causing him to wince no matter what. No more than a loose rib probably, Kai had after all kicked him hard enough to shatter it. That was probably a possibility too.

“You shouldn’t talk,” Kai sniffed. “The doctor said two of your ribs are fractured and you’re lucky they didn’t puncture your lungs. Just nod or shake your head to the questions okay?” Like Tyson thought, there was reason behind his difficulty forming words other than the now recognizable throbbing pain in his entire face. “Tyson, did you hear what I said?” Like a good little marionette, he nodded his head slowly, feeling the dominating smirk playing in the corners of Kai’s mouth.

“Did you go out last night?” the doctor questioned, Tyson nodding his throbbing head slowly. “Alone?” Again Tyson nodded, fearing she already knew what was going on. That she might say something and then Kai would do something to her.

“Tyson, calm down love, you’re shaking,” Kai said, false worry lining his voice. “Don’t worry, Ty-koi, no one can hurt you anymore. I’m right here with you, you don’t have to be afraid.”

‘Yes, you are here with me, but I do have something to fear. Someone can hurt me, and that someone is you, Kai.’ He wanted so bad to open his mouth and say something, but he wouldn’t survive another attack, even if the doctor tried to help him. It could all be covered up so easily, Kai would say he woke up, found a note from him saying he was going to the store, hours go by without word and Kai would get worried, calling Max, Rei, and Kenny.

They would all worry together, someone would call the police, Kai would tell his story again. There would be no holes in it, months would go by. Eventually a horribly decomposed body would pop until somewhere. DNA would identify his remains and a Kai would play the grieving lover, shocked and desperate to find out what happened. Everyone would try to comfort Kai, but it would be no good, he would lock himself away as part of his act. No one but Kai, maybe a few fearful servants would know the truth. Tyson couldn’t let things go that way he would never be able to rest in heaven if no one found out the reality of what really happened.

“Young man, did you get a good look at what these men looked liked?” the doctor asked. Tyson shook his head, continuing to shiver. He could feel the tears trickled from his swollen eyes, dribbling down his chin as a sob threatened to break. They should really win an academy award for this role of the battered victim of a vicious assault and grieving lover, covering the actuality of domestic violence cycling between them.

“Please…stop…” Kai cried, turning watery eyes towards the woman of mid forties with short bright blue hair. “He’s not ready to go through this right now…please…”

“I’m sorry, I know I’m not the police,” she apologized. “But he will have to go this with the police when he’s able to speak without his ribs hurting so much.”

“I know, but we will get to that when the time comes, I just don’t want to see him suffer anymore,” Kai whispered. “I just can’t…”

The woman gave him a sympathetic stare then turned her eyes on the battered blue haired young man who looked as if he went through hell the night before. Large, dark black-purplish bruises not only covered his stomach, arms, chest, but decorated nearly fifty percent of his face. He was lucky to not have lost teeth in how savage the assault was, seeing as how his nose was broke in two places.

It was just amazing at the extent in which he suffered. Then again…there were other things that sent off alarms subconsciously. Like the scars on the boy’s back when she was bandaging his ribs or the contusion from what seemed like a matter of two or more days. If she didn’t know any better, this young man didn’t get assaulted by mysterious men, rather the culprit sat at his victim’s beside, playing the mourning lover.

“I should…probably get back to my office, I will send some medicine for him later…” Doctor Minima started to move from where she stood, when the dual haired young man removed himself from the bed, walking in front of her and blocking the door. The tears in his eyes gone, replaced with a dark glint of suspicion. “Um…Mr. Hiwatari…”

“I was wondering something, when you were wrapping his injuries, did you see the other marks on his back. The long knife wounds, did you see everything?” Kai questioned quietly.

“Kai…” Tyson’s voice squeaked with panic.

“She knows Ty-koi, you can see it in her eyes…if you could open yours,” Kai smirked. “Sorry I had to beat you so bad baby, now I can’t see the look of fear in those blue eyes of yours.”

“So you did…” She took a step back away from the young man. “How could you do this to…someone…?\"

“I love?” Kai finished. “Love has nothing to do with having him obey me. You don’t know one thing about this wretched bastard. He’s a whore, a fucking, good for nothing piece of shit. His life means nothing, but while he is alive, I will have his complete obedience.”

“You sick…” Tyson only heard the woman get out that much as a slap sounded, echoing off the walls before something hit the floor with a thump. Terror shook Tyson to the bone as he listened to the struggling on the floor as Kai cursed the sound was accompanied by gasping sounds. Eventually, it came out a gurgled sound until silence replaced all sound. Tremors shook Tyson, waiting for movement. Minutes seemed to tick away, apprehension clawing at Tyson’s brain, until finally the weight of the bed lowered, fingertips caressing the bruised skin.

“I suppose I’ll have to send someone to her office to get the medicine since the good doctor won’t be leaving just yet,” Kai whispered hotly into Tyson’s ear. Tyson shivered, feeling the tip of Kai’s tongue lick the outer contour of his ear. Was Kai turned on by…revulsion filled the pit of Tyson’s stomach as Kai suckled on the lobe of his ear momentarily, moaning lightly before letting go. “I’ll be back for you later baby, I have to get rid of something, wait up for me.”

Tyson sobbed quietly, listening to Kai removed himself from the bed and dragging the doctor’s body out the room, a chuckle escaping the insane dual hair man’s lips. The door was shut a minute later, but he could still hear the cruel laughter filling his ears. Raising his sore arms, Tyson tried to block it out, but nothing worked. ‘Dear God please…please…please help me…I don’t want to end up like that…please God…please…please help me…’

Rim: Yes! I have let him start to go over the ledge of insanity more so than before! All right, now that I have that completed, I will set to work on Do You Trust Me Enough. And I do promise not to make everyone wait so long for the next update, I hope this makes up for the delay.
