Magick and Upcomings

Disclaimer: I think everyone is well aware that I do not own Gundam Seed……if they are not……then I am flattered.

Authors note: As always, I thank those who have reviewed. This fic has alternate pairings by the way. If you are opposed to the idea of Nicol being in love with Kira and Kira returning the feelings….and if you are opposed to the idea of a Wiccan lesbian, then I would suggest you do not proceed. I do not assume you wish to waste time on flaming me. If you do, then go ahead, everyone is entitled to an opinion.

A crystalline tear slid down his face.

Nicol awoke in his bed; memories of the previous night suddenly filled his mind. It had all been so Magickal and serene, though almost strange. Nicol had felt her. The feeling had been so sad and tragic, like a flitting silhouette of heartbreak. Nicol bowed his head. “May her spirit find peace someday.” And he hurried up to get dressed and begin the day, wondering for a moment where Kira was. Last night, the brunette had just dropped Nicol off in his dormitory and Nicol had guessed that Kira had just returned to his own bed to sleep. //I wonder how he is going to be affected by all this.// Nicol finished dressing and gazed at the white top he had changed into last night after the encounter with Blake. Nicol crinkled his nose and stepped out of the dormitory, closing the door behind him—and locking it—as he left.

Kira sat in music class, musing about the garden and all the secrets it held. He felt almost honoured to have shared a bit of the magick with Nicol. Kira smiled and the warmth of it surprised him. //I feel almost giddy today.// He thought to himself.
Athrun was in the Sparrow class with Kira and so he was in all the classes that Kira had. The junior students from the sparrow class had music with the junior students from the squirrel class, and so Dearka was sitting in the same class too, right beside Athrun. Kira seemed to have distanced himself room the two and they were silently discussing the possibilities of why, when their teacher Mr. Jeckson, sauntered into the classroom.
“Today class, we are going to discuss standard notation. I want you all to split up into groups of three and work on this sheet I am going to pass out.”

Athrun and Dearka immediately set off towards Kira and managed to snap him out of his apparent daze.
“HEY YOU, WAKE UP!!!!!” Dearka yelled into one ear which was enough to make Kira jump at least three feet and fall off of his chair.
Kira glared at Dearka, “Was that entirely relevant?” He asked.
Athrun was the one who answered. “Yes! Do you realize that you are completely missing this entire class?”
“And that is tragic…why?”
Dearka seemed to reciprocate the notion. “Phh. Only to someone who is as dedicated to music as well, Nicol maybe, but seriously…you have been so distanced from us ever since last night…did something happen between Nicol and you, that is not being revealed?” The tanned boy raised one eyebrow and gave Kira the, “don’t even try to lie to us about it, because you are going to talk…now,” look.
The sapphire eyed boy sighed dramatically. //I suppose it can’t hurt to tell them at least part of what happened.//
“Okay you guys, Nicol and I kissed last night…happy?”
Athrun leaned in. “First kiss?”
“Yeah…”
Dearka whistled. “At least I know that you are not just going insane on us…try not to think too much alright Kira?”
Athrun, however, wasn’t completely satisfied with this answer. He looked touched Kira on the arm ever so softly, and stared right into the other brunette’s eyes. He smiled knowingly at Kira. “Talk to us when you are ready, alright? Till then…we have to finish this ineffectual sheet. I don’t care how useless this stuff will be to us, we still have to get it done!”
Kira grinned. He knew Athrun had let him go with an inconclusive answer because the midnight haired boy understood when Kira preferred to work things out on his own—no matter how much it ate at his soul—and Athrun wouldn’t let anything bad happen to Kira, anyways.
And so the three sat, grumbling about inconsequential grades and unjust homework policies, for the rest of the class.

“Nicol! Are you almost finished with that poster yet?” A boy by the name of Shawn was standing over Nicol with a smile and warm expression.
Nicol grinned sheepishly. “Not yet.” He replied. “Sorry.”
“It’s alright, but when do you think you’ll be done?”
“I should be done by the end of next class…..which is the period after next right?”
Shawn nodded.
“Okay then. I only have to finish the shading on the witch, and I can draw the ghost in about ten minutes, is that alright?”
Shawn smirked and nodded. “It’s perfect, but…why do you always have to make everything look so good?” His tones mocked a sarcastically exasperated tone.
“Well, I thank you but I feel that if I have to do something, I might as well do it well.” Nicol replied with a smile, he liked Shawn—the boy seemed nice enough although he hung around with some of the more closed seeming cliques. The group he was friends with held a bunch of nice-enough boys though, so it was all forgiven.
“Hm, well, it looks great so I guess I can’t argue with your methods. Oh, and Nicol...”
“Yes?”
“Good wishes to you and Kira.”
Nicol almost choked, instead he blushed.
“U-uh…thank you.”
Shawn winked and then left to see to the banners that Yzak was hanging up on the far walls of the gym.
Nicol was slightly embarrassed but then, the boys in this school were almost as bad as girls in any other school. Gossip travelled faster than their science teacher talking about his daughter and her latest achievement.
Nicol smiled again as he gazed around the large gym where the Halloween social was to be held. The banners that Yzak was dealing with had things like, “Happy Halloween,” and, “Absolutely NO dirty dancing permitted,” written on them.
It was kind of humorous actually, because the teacher’s efforts at creating a clean environment always seemed to provoke less than respectable behaviour from students, instead of halting it.
The thought of dirty dancing with Kira was what kept a smile on Nicol’s face throughout the rest of the day.

I am having a bit of an inspiration lapse at this moment in time so I express regret about nothing much occurring in this chapter…..I do, however, believe that there is going to be a lemon in the future chapter. *blissfully sips tea* I await reviews, as always.
