Ch5: The Boom Boom bar: will they find Duo?

“Do you know how to mix the drinks properly?” Rei asked as she began setting up the bar for opening. Duo nodded as he flung a bottle up on the air and caught it behind his back.
“Of course!”

Duo helped Rei pull the barstools off the bar, set up the ashtrays and made sure the glasses were set up. There was five minutntilntil opening.
“Nervous?” Duo asked. Rei took down the last barstool and scrunched her face.
“Mmm, not a lot.. well maybe just a little.” She smiled. “Is that bad?” o juo jumped over the bench and grabbed some tequila and poured a shot for each of them. “Well, no it’s not a bad thing. But here’s something to make you relax a little okay?” Duo looked under the bar for some salt. “Rei, can you go grab the lemons for me?” he said pointing across the bar. Rei nodded and complied. As she had her back to him, Duo droped in a pinch of white powder into Rei’s shot glass.

“Cheers,” they both said before downing a shot.

‘This is going to be easier than I thought.’

“Where’s Quatre?” Heero asked Trowa.
“There’s been a slight change in plans. Quatre’s going to arrive a little later than expected,” Trowa lowered his head slightly. Heero knew what had happened so he didn’t feel the need to ask why.
“Just hope it doesn’t jeopardize the mission.”
Heero put his hand to his ear. “Wufei can you hear me?”

“Loud and clear.”
“Duo’s been in there for two hours and forty-five minutes already. Our turn to go in.”
“Gotcha”

Heeo turned to Trowa.
“Let’s go.” Heero commanded.

Duo looked across the club at the door. He saw Heero come in wearing a black turtle neck and grey khakis, and Trowa followed right behind in a white pinstripe shirt and black khakis. Quatre was nowhere to be seen. Duo put his hand to his ear as he cleaned the bar with a cloth.
“Where’s Quatre?” He could see Heero across the room put his hand to his ear. He looked like he was talking to Trowa, but he was really speaking back to Duo. “Change of plans. He’s coming later.” Heero watched as Duo nodded slightly then went back to bar tendering.

A young woman came up to the bar. Duo winked at her.
“So what’ll it be ma’am?” Duo smiled. The lady flicked her long blonde hair over her shoulder and laughed.
“Call me Jess. I’m off duty so please don’t call me ma’am. It makes me feel old.” Duo giggled.
“Very well Jess. What would you like to drink?” Duo smiled cheekily.
“I’ll have one tequila shot for myself.. and one for you,” she smiled. Duo nodded and got the drinks ready.
“So how old are you?” She asked. He looked awfully young to be a bartender. Duo handed the lady her drink and smiled evilly.
“Old enough to make it legal.” Duo replied as he took his shot. Before Duo could reach for the lemon slice, Jess picked it up and held it with her teeth, ready for Duo to suck on it from her mouth. Duo smiled and leaned over the bar, sucking on the lemon, lip to lip with Jess. Duo pulled away and smiled proudly.
“Well I’ve never taken a shot that way before. Usually that’s what I’m supposed to do.” The woman couldn’t help but giggle. Jess began to reach for the salt but Duo grabbed it first. Jess paused as she watched Duo put some on his neck, and then held the lemon with his hands. Jess leaned over and licked the salt off Duo’s neck, kng hng his collarbone before pulling away. She downed the shot and sucked the lemon form Duo’s hand, taking the opportunity to suck his fingers also. After she let go, Duo cleaned up the drinks and returned to the woman.

“Thanx for that. It was most enjoyable.” Jess said before walking away. Duo couldn’t help but laugh as he went back to work. Heero sat with Trowa across the room. He watched as Duo flirted with the OZ woman. He watched as she kissed his neck and sucked his fingers.
“Heero, what’s wrong?” Trowa asked. He hadn’t seen what Duo was doing just a few seconds prior.
“Nothing. Have you seen any entrances yet?” Trowa shook his head.

Suddenly Quatre’s voice could be heard through the earpieces.
“I’m here. I just saw Lady Une arrive.”
“Understood. Wufei, what’s your position?”
Wufei grumbled through the earpiece at his lack of participation in this mission. “I’m ready and waiting outside. If you guys need to leave in a hurry I’ll be ready to take out anyone in your way.” Wufei said from the roof of the adjacent building. He was ppoippointed that he had to sit in the cold with a sniper rifle.

Duo watched as he saw Lady Une approach the bar.
“Duo, Get out of there! Lady Une knows what you look like!” Quatre pleaded thru the earpiece.

‘Goddammit!’

Duo turned to Rei. She seemed to be reacting to the drugs. She didn’t look well at all.
“Duo. We found the entrance. You think you can cause a little distraction?” Trowa asked.
Duo smiled. “hey I’m the king of distractions. Give me 5 minutes.”

Duo walked over to Rei.
“Hey buddy, you feeling alright?” Duo put his arm around Rei. She did not look well at all.
She looked up at him and rubbed her stomach.
“I feel like I’m going to go throw up... Soon.” She put her hand to her mouth. Duo nudged her towards the bathrooms..
“Go. I’ll take of everything for the next hour or so. Go puke then rest k?” Duo led her out of the bar and in the direction f the toilets. The bar was starting to get busy and there was a small crowd around the bar.
Rei looked worried. “Are you sure you can handle it?” She asked. Duo nodded and went back to thr.

Duo put his hand to the earpiece. “You guys ready for you little distraction?” Duo could see Trowa, Heero and Quatre nod. Duo’s smile looked so evil. He stood up on the bar, and could see Lady Une getting extremely close to the bar. Hopefully Heero and Trowa didn’t see her wink at Duo. Duo put his fingers in his mouth and whistled. All the people around the bar stopped what they were doing and looked at Duo.

“Hey everyone!! It is now happy hour! In light of my new happy hour rules.. ALL DRINKS ARE NOW FREE! Help yourselves!!” Duo yelled as he jumped off the bar. Off duty Oz sildiers stormed the bar and ran for the drinks. Heero, T and and Quatre took it as t cue cue to head for the entrance. Duo knew exactly where they were going. Duo watched as Heero, Quatre and Trowa head for the staff only entrance. When they disappeared from sight, Duo looked at Lady Une. She smiled.
“Let’s go Daimon.”
