Magic from the Moon

Wufei blinked in shock. Heero Yuy didn?t just blow up. Heero had survived so many self-destructions, lived through so many events that would kill any normal person. Why the fuck did he blow himself up? The idiot could have lived through having a Leo slam into him. Offhandedly, Wufei wondered what he was going to tell Relena. Even more offhandedly, Wufei was glad that the Wing Zero had been so big. The explosion when the self-destruction had gone off had taken out all the remaining mobile suits along with it. Wufei had been lucky enough to be just outside the blast range.

Making his way closer to where the Wing Zero used to be, Wufei was shocked to find that stray tears were flowing down his cheeks. He shouldn?t be crying. He should be celebrating that his friend died such an honorable death. The only death honorable than Heero?s had been Merian?s. Heero was dead. He had to be, but even though, Wufei decided he could not mourn. It wouldn?t be right, considering it was Heero.

Strapping on an oxygen tank and mask, connecting a cable to his belt, Wufei swiftly got out of his Gundam and made his towatoward Heero?s body. It was surprisingly easy to find. Wufei was happy to see that Heero, too, had been in space-gear and so his body hadn?t exploded as soon as it had been thrown out of his Gundam. Checking his pulse, Wufei wasn?t surprised to feel nothing. He was surprised, though, by all the pieces of glass and shrapnel buried his friend?s body at random places. They must have been what killed him. As Wufei dragged Heero?s body back to his own Gundam, Wufei realithatthat the shrapnel was definitely what killed him. There was a piece of glass the size of his hand buried in the back of Heero?s head. Wufei again felt tears welling up in his eyes as he hoped that Heero dyed quickly.

Wufei stored Heero?s body in the back of his cockpit and started to head back to Earth. As he flew, Wufei watched the last moments of Heero. The sound had gone out by then, but Wufei could tell Heero was saying something. But what was it? Wufei wasn?t skilled at reading lips, but after staring at the clip many times, it suddenly clicked that Heero?s last word had been ?Relena?.

~*~*~*~

Relena hated this. She shouldn?t be here. This shouldn?t be happening. She looked down at her ring, her wedding ring, and tried to stop the flow of tears. She barely suppressed them. Looking around the church, Relena felt confused. Many of the people here Relena didn?t know, or just knew barely. Had Heero really touched this many people? Were these all his friends, friends that Relena had never known? There was Duo, that hated Duo, who had tried to steal Heero. He was crying, with his head down. Quatre had one hand on Duo?s back and Trowa?s two hands enclasped his other. Hm. There was something else Relena hadn?t known about.

Funerals were horrible. They were so utterly depressing, Relena didn?t know if she could stand it. In the middle of one of the speeches, again, by someone she didn?t know, Relena stood up and left. She ignored the stares she got, the whispers that followed her and even the few soft calls for her to come back. She made her way out of the church and started the short walk to her house.

Relena stared down at the gravestone. She couldn?t read the epitaph. It was too dark. Maybe she should have brought a flashlight, but, instead, she had simply brought two candles and a pack. She wanted this to be romantic. Heero had always like romance and Relena was sure that he still did. Relena almost wished she had brought some food, maybe some spaghetti?it was Heero?s favorite dish. Oh well. She was sure he?d understand.

After lighting the candles, setting them on either side of the grave, Relena took up the shovel she had brought with her. She hoped that it wouldn?t take too long. The soil was loose, since it had just been moved around earlier that day. Her hands and arms started to hurt soon, bue kee kept at it. It was all worth it to see Heero again. Anything would be worth it.

Soon, sooner than she thought it would take, but longer than seemed imaginable, Relena completely uncovered Heero?s coffin. She slowly, tenderly opened it, leaning precariously into the grave. It opened easily and she pulled his body out of the deep hole. When he was finally out, Relena almost started to cry. She hadn?t seen him in so long, and he was still so beautiful.

Brushing back some of his hair, running her fingers through it, she told him, ?I like your shampoo.? She started to chuckle and continued, ?Oh, what a thing to say. The first thing I say to you since last time I see you ? How dreadfully unromantic. I?m sorry, love.?

...So, don\'t say any word, it\'s ok.
You\'re just frightened a little bit for now.
Say nothing, it\'s ok.
You\'re just lost and wandering inside of your sorrow.

She waited for him to respond, then smiled at Heero. ?I understand. This is all still too much for you. Don?t worry. You don?t have to say a word. I still love you.? Relena leaned in and softly kissed his lips, running her tongue over them, oblivious to how cold and unresponsive they were. She pulled back, just enough for her eyes to focus, not enough to lose contact.

Gently, Relena moved Heero?s head so he could look around at the candles. ?They?re the candles that you gave me for my last birthday. I?ve been waiting for a special occasion to use them. I think this is definitely a special occasion.?
I will dedicate this prayer to you, within your last moment...
Relena fingered Heero?s collar, slowly unbuttoning his shirt. ?I can?t help but wonder why you?re wearing this. It really doesn?t seem you. Oh well. I brought you a tank top and spandex. I figured you would really like that.?
?
?I knew it! Alright. Out of those clothes, then. I know, I know. I shouldn?t see you this way before we?re married, but ? Really, Heero. I?m not sure we?re going to be married,? Relena sadly replied. Tears started to fill her eyes as she pulled off Heero?s white button up shirt and undershirt. She moved down to his pants, carefully unbuckling and withdrawing the belt. As she started to unzip the fly of his pants, she said, ?Well, Heero ? Why do you have to ask ?why?? I .. I think it?s pretty obvious.? Her eyes filled with tears. ?You?re dead.?

It\'s magic from the moon, shalle a le rilla,
whispering with sweet voices.
If I could grant myself one wish,
I wanna hold your hands and laugh with you.

The tears started to well up and fall down her cheeks. ?God, Heero. Why?d you have to die? I would do anything, anything, to have you back with me. I wish you were still here with me. But ? Wait, what am I talking about? You are here with me! And you always will be.? Relena?s blue eyes glazed over slightly and she kissed Heero again, deeper this time, probing his mouth with her tongue. She sat like that for a while, pulling Heero toward her, not letting him fall down, kissing him.
When she withdrew her tongue from Heero?s mouth, Relena giggled at him, ?Jeez, love, you need a breath mint. Sorry, but you do. Hm, I wonder if I have one.? Relena patted her pockets down and came up empty. ?Sorry, no such luck. Oh well. I can stand a little bad breath.? Relena kissed Heero again, first his mouth and then moving down to his neck. Sucking on his neck, Relena?s hands seemed to have a mind of their own. They made their way down to Heero?s pants and finished unzipping and pulling them down. Accidentally, Relena?s fingers snagged his underwear and brought them down as well. Relena suddenly stood up and quickly shed her skirt and underwear, leaving her shirt on. Lying down on top of Heero, she reveled in the feeling of him, of his whole body, underneath her.

In my dreams...
or maybe in my memories, I\'ll see you again, won\'t I?

Heero?s arms were moved to encircle Relena?s waist and lay on her back. While she kissed and touched her fiancée, Relena noticed that Heero?s grip was failing and she had to continually put his arms back up. Relena smirked into his chest, figuring that his body was going limp since he was so close to orgasm. She had read about that, about how all the blood flow to one organ could cause other parts of the body to become limp. And considering how large and swollen Heero?s penis was, it seemed only right that he should seem so lifeless.

If I can ease your pain and get your smiles back,
and if you can show me your innocent smiles,
then all my sorrows will turn into tenderness.

On the subject of his penis, she contemplated abstractly as she started to kiss and suck it, sometimes it seemed as if it was flaccid, as lim the the rest of his body, but then Relena would blink and see his organ fully erect and erotic. Of course it would be erect, after all, Relena had been touching and kissing him. As she took Heero?s penis into her mouth, she savored the taste, questioning what his come would taste like. She had read that come tasted different, that it depended on the person. Just as she was sure Heero was about to orgasm, though, Relena removed her mouth and crawled up Heero. She smiled down at her lover, kissing him deeply, wondering if he found the taste of his penis as erotic as she did. Relena wasn?t sure what answer she would find pleasing. As she kissed Heero, she moved his penis into her.

\"Never let go our good old memories, \" I pray...

As she rocked back and forth on Heero?s penis, Relena smiled tenderly at Heero?s face, with his closed eyes, his slack mouth. He looked so beautiful; Relena couldn?t see why they had not done this before. They were obviously bothoyinoying it so much. This was one memory that Relena would surely never forget. She closed her own eyes, feeling what she thought must be an orgasm coming on. Dozens of memories of her and Heero zoomed through her mind, of them working side by side on various projects, of them riding horses on the beach, of them in bed, sleeping together. Every memory was so precious. She loved him so much.
Her eyes snapped open as the orgasm hit her, and Relena couldn?t help but call out, ?HEERO!!? The scream was so reminiscent of back when she had first met him, even though everything had changed since back then.

It?s magic from the moon, shalle a le rilla.
If you can overcome the sadness and sorrow,
and if I can be touched by a merciful gentleness,
then I wanna sleep beside you.

Relena slumped down, not bothering to move away so much that Heero was taken away from within her. She liked the feeling, liked feeling that they were truly one, that really nothing could ever separate them. Cuddling into her lover?s shoulder, Relena reached up and stroked the side of his face, murmuring, ?Thank you, heart. That was ? magnificent. I love you so much. I hope ? I hope that soon you?ll be happy enough to speak to me. I understand why you don?t, but I wish I could hear your voice again. I wish I could hear you promising me everything will be okay.?
She kissed his cold lips again and nuzzled into his neck. Relena felt at peace, never mind that deep inside of her, deeper than Heero?s penis had been, she knew that this would never happen again. Relena leaned back, straddling Heero?s naked chest, looking at him. Silently, she reached down and started to open his eyes. She just wanted to see his beautiful, blue eyes one more time.

When the spell breaks apart,
then the farewell would come again.
So if I can show you all my heart now,
then I wanna hold your hands and dance with you.

With a finger lightly on each eyelid, starting to pull them up, Relena was suddenly worried. What if it was allng, ng, what if his eyes looked ? well, what if they looked dead? She froze, the eyelids half open but her hand in the way so she couldn?t see his eyes. Relena suddenly looked down and around her. She was in a graveyard, by a freshly dug grave, a grave that she had dug up herself, sitting on ? a dead man. And she was half-naked and he was fully n. W. What had she been thinking? What was she thinking still, as she leaned down and kissed Heero?s corpse? She realized he was dead, yet she still wanted to touch him. The kiss deepened; Relena didn?t hear the footsteps approaching her.

Into the lights, where we belong,
someday, somewhere... I know we\'ll meet again,
and until then...

Duo wasn?t watching where he was going as he walked toward Heero?s grave. Wufei was talking about something, Duo didn?t know what. He wasn?t paying attention. His whole world had been in a cloud since the news came back about Heero?s death. Duo just hoped he would find some closure at Heero?s grave. He shined the flashlight slightly ahead of him, just enough so that he could see where he was walking. In the distance, near where he thought Heero?s grave was, Duo saw two small flickering lights, like candles. But who would have candles in a graveyard this late at night?
Shining the flashlight further ahead of him, Duo thought he could make out two figures, one on top of the other. Oh god. Were people having sex in the graveyard? How weird would that be .. He nudged Wufei, cutting him off and pointed ahead. Duo almost smiled, the first he would have since Wufei had come back with the news, then he suddenly remembered where they were and why they were there.
By that time, Duo and Wufei had reached the Heero?s grave and, inevitably the couple.
?Oh my GOD!? Duo screamed, almost dropping the flashlight. There was Relena, naked from the waist down, deeply kissing Heero?s naked body. ?Oh my dear Lord!!?
Wufei wasn?t saying anything, Duo doubt he could. Relena looked up, obviously shocked. Her blouse was messily buttoned, her hair in a disarray. Her blue eyes were glazed and she didn?t seem to recognize Duo.
Eyes twitching and filling with tears at the same time, Duo didn?t even think and hurled the flashlight at Relena. It hit her head and knocked her over, although not out. She sprawled on the ground, legs spread so that Duo got a nasty view of her.
Duo was overcome with anger, rage and pure disgust as he started to yell at Relena, ?What the hell are you doing, Relena? Perfect Relena that doesn?t even stay for Heero?s whole funeral, but then comes out here in the middle of the night to rape his body? What the fuck are you on?! That?s so degrading to HIM, he didn?t even have a choice, and you just defile Heero that way!! First you steal him from me and then you have the nerve to do THIS? You fucking whore! I can?t believe you! You?re more twisted and deranged than I thought you were, which says an awful lot! My God! You?re .. you?re .. ? He started crying and couldn?t continue.

Staring at Relena, Duo wasn?t sure what to do. Rubbing his eyes and trying to get the blasted tears to stop, he felt the little amount of energy he had left drain away. Slumping down next to Relena, he tried to keep track of all his thoughts. The last had been so painful, so horrible, and this just seemed to fit in with the whole array of things. He had loved Heero, as much as he had ever loved anyone, more than he had loved Sister Helen or Father Maxwell or Wufei. He was at a lost, at a total loss and seemed to be floating through his entire life. Then, Wufei returned from a mission to their house alone. Alone, with news of Heero. News that Heero was dead. Everything had headed in a steep downhill then; Wufei had done his best to help, and Quatre had always been there. But today, at the funeral, when Heero?s girlfriend, his lover, to whom he had supposedly proposed to, left, Duo felt like he was going to scream. She was horrible toward Heero, didn?t care enough to stay for the whole duration of his funeral, but was able to come to his grave in the middle of the night and do this?
Still crying, Duo looked at Relena. Her eyes were out-of-focus and she seemed very confused. She looked at him and he looked at her?really looked at her. Looked at the tears welling up in her eyes, her shirt messily buttoned, her naked legs and crotch, her dirty and grimy face. Then he looked deeper and realized that she really had loved him. God, she?d have to love him to have sex with his corpse. Duo doubted he could go to that extreme. The two looked at each other and found a common spirit. Both of them had gone through such love and hurt for the same man and basically ended up in the same boat. Both of them, while hating each other because of the competition, had so much in common, especially since Heero was gone. Duo closed his eyes and sat, the tears making their way down his cheeks.
Silently, he looked up and at Relena, lifting his arms to her. She smiled, faintly and seemed a little bewildered, but she moved toward him and accepted his hug. They supported each other, understanding each other and giving the other what strength they had.
