Promise

When I started writing this I had absolutely what it would be about. No clue. So it’s not made to flow, I hope you all like it.
I do not own the G-Boys or any of the characters, I promise to return them. (Wufei might be in need of a bath.)

Chapter One:

If revenge was a song, who would sing it? Would Satan write the lyrics and sing forth to Christ? Who was responsible for revenge? Who handed out the millions of lashings that every human being deserved? Did God? Did Satan? Did Christ, who had suffered and died for the evils of humans ever try to harm those who had harmed him?

Who had the right to kill?
To take life?
To destroy countless cities and communities?

Heero Yui knew he was not the one who could do so. Or at least, without pain accompanying it.
At one point, the man remembered as he dropped his 45 onto the ground, he had promised to never kill again. Promises were made to be broken.

After running a gunpowder-stained hand through his hair, Heero turned and walked away from the scene of another mission. A self-made mission.

Soon, he knew, he would need to return to the small apartment he called his home for this week. Just as soon as he finished sweeping his trail that had started when he contacted the man Diaz.

Diaz. Heero furrowed his brows as he slowly pieced his gun apart. Diaz, the only man who had ever put fear in Heero Yui’s eyes. Even when Duo had pointed a gun at the man, Heero hadn’t even flinched. He had yet to figure out what had made the man so…scary. His warm brown eyes melted Heero’s icy blue orbs as Heero accepted every mission given. His large hands soothed Heero’s tight shoulders in a loving, fatherly embraAnd And yet, the man who had held Heero after he broke his promise still frightened him.

He had never feared death. Rather, he wished to embrace it. Somehow, always managing to live through something that would have killed a person like Duo. Only he could live like that. He had never known fear. Yet here he was, knowing full well that he was scared of a human. One who had never threatened him? Never harmed him. Never even touched him in a way that made Yui uncomfortable. He was a frightening man. One you could see on the street in a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and never want to look at him in the wrong way. He had power. You could see it in the way he walked, the way he held his cigarette, even the way he looked at the passerby’s.

Heero always told himself that there were others who were scared of Diaz. He probably even scared his own mother with that handsome smile and white teeth.

Heero shook his head as he watched the area he was just in go up in flames. Heero knew his life was that of an unannounced pyromaniac. A quirky smile found its way upon his face as he thought of every time he saw his masterpiece go up in flames. There were too many, some he c bar barely remember, but he could recall the feeling of sheer power he felt with setting the bombs. There were so many things he wished he could remember, and even more he wanted to forget.

At one time he could go without the fire, weapons, fighting, and secrecy. A time when he could love and be loved. That time was short, but beautiful. It was Diaz who had ended it. Diaz who had put Heero straight on the train to pain.

A path of anger, hatred, and loss that Heero Yui knew quite well.
