Vegeta Songfic

This is my very first song fic so please go easy one me. IT\'S JUST MY FIRST TIME! Uhm, I guess I should tell you what it\'s aboot and what song it is. Well it\'s about Vegeta and sometime in the timeline when he was down and depressed, mabey let\'s say, on Namek when Freeza was beating him up. The song is \"Sound the Bugle\" from Disney\'s Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron. Well here we go:

Vegeta knew he was done for when Freeza fought off his attack with one kick. He lowered himself to the ground and let go of all his defences. Freeza just looked at him with the air of confidence he carrys around Freeza floated up into the air, planning the blasted off to Vegeta and hit him straight on in the chin. He did a back flip, tail contacting with his chest, sending him back down to the planet and into the awaiting water:

*As the seasons change - remember how I used to be
*Now I can\'t go on - I can\'t even start
*I\'ve got nothing left - just an empty heart

He floated down, down to the bottom as Freeza landed softly onto a small island. With his energy, he made the water dissapear to reveal a very hurt Vegeta. Freeza floated down to him and kicked him. He gave him one last chance to jon back with him and rule the universe. All Vegeta did was grunt and moan. With Fres pos powers, he made the Saiyan float into the air and hurridly sent him back up to sea level. Freeza met him and his elbow made contact whit his chest stopping him. A round-about kick sent him head first into the earth, before Gohan, Piccolo, and Krillin. The only thing showing was his twitching leggs:

*I\'m a soldier - wounded so I must give up the fight
*There\'s nothing more for me - lead me away...
*Or leave me lying here

\"Get up...Vegeta....\" Krillin quivered. Freeza landed infront of them as they gasped. He grabbed the Saiyan around the neck with his tail and proceded to pound on his back. Somewhere else, help was recovering in one of Freezas rejuvi tanks.

*Sound the bugle now - tell them I don\'t care
*There\'s not a road I know - That leads to anywhere
*Without a light I fear that I will - stumble in the dark
*Lay right down -decide not to go on

With out a second thought he mercylessly threw him into a rocce. ce. Boulders and pebbles rained down on the fallen Prince. His mind started to drift in and out of darkness of death. Freeza chuckled, all the while sauntering over to Vegeta\'s body. His three toed foot ground a rock, that was on the chest, scraping the beaten flesh till it bled.

Goku\'s time was done by the annoucement of the panel next to the liquid filled tank, \'I\'m healed!\' the younger Saiyan said in his head, ripping the breathing mask off and destroying the glass that contained him. Blasting upwards and out, he layed foot ontop of Freezas ship, feeling the Namek air, searching for his friends location. Powering up, he flew into the direction that needed his help the most.

*Then from on high - somewhere in the distance
*There\'s a voice that calls - remember who you are

Freeza picked him up by the collar and raised his hand

*If you lose your self - your courage soon will follow
*So be stong tonight - remember who you are

Not seconds before Freeza ends the life of Vegeta, Goku appears. The lizzard freak stared at the other Saiyan in suprise then ammusement. Letting the Prince drop he stared at the newcommer. Goku stepped forward. Freeza was the first to attack him but he quicky evaded them all with one hand, protecting his friends and Vegeta. \"Hey Kakarott, you made it.\" Vegeta weakly said.

Vegeta explained everything to Goku. How Freeza made him to what he was. About their heritage. Finally, theitualtual enemy got tired of of Vegeta\'s ramblings and sent an energy beam straight through his heart, but his will kept going. Explaining a little bit more, Goku got a better understanding of where Vegeta was coming from. With one last ragged breath, he pleaded for Goku to stop Freeza before he could get to anyone else.

*Yea you\'re a soldier now -fighting in a battle
*To be free once more...
*Ya that\'s woth fighting for..

And then there was scilence. An erie wind blew across the fallen prince...
