When faced with a problem, Heero Yuy had been taught to always choose the simplest answer. The simpler the answer, the easier it was to deal with the problem. After the war, Heero also found that thIs also applied to every day life as well.
Which was why when he was faced with the greatest decision in his life, he knew exactly what to do. For months, the silent battle was waged between Relena and Duo. Each one vying his his attention. It had been an exhausting battle, more exhausting than any of the wars he'd ever fought.
Little hints were dropped here and there. A lingering glance. A hand-sewn teddy bear. All to keep the two satisfied and on their toes. As time went by, his hints began to grow bolder. He would allow them to get away with things that he would not let others. He allowed Duo to chatter mindlessly to him for hours, while he slept of course. He allowed Relena to hold him, once he had passed out.
Many times he would walk in on Quatre or Trowa, or one of the women, hearing them all whispering amongst themselves. He knew what they were talking about, noticing the little factions that had been made. There were those who thought he was doing the anal thing with Duo every night. While others thought he was making babies with Relena.
When Duo moved away to once again live with Hilde, every one had swore that they had broken up. Heero had been surprised by Duo's actions, though he had not minded that much. If Hilde was able to put up with Duo's obsessive talking and hyperness, then he had all the respect in the world for the girl. Not to mention she was cute,.
His problems with Relena too began to fade away, what with her being in charge of running the world. They still kept in contact, which also fueled more rumors that he had spurned Duo for Relena. Heero did not mind about those rumors either.
For the truth in the matter was, that Heero had made his decision a long time ago.Since he could not choose who it was he wanted, he had thought about it in the logical way. Since two heads were said to be better than one, he also applied that two bodies must be better than one also.
At first, sharing a bed with the two had been somewawkwawkward. Girls could only do so much, and two me the the same bed seemed like a disaster waiting to happen. Especially when both men wanted to be on top, as well as the girl, which added to more confusion.
So once again the easiest solution was formed. They would all draw straws. Since they were all sharing one another, the couple picked for that night would be the couple who got sex. It was just as much fun watching as it was participating. Not to mention it got rid of all the arguing that used to drive Heero up the walls. It left all three of them satisfied, and it also helped to put a dent in the rumor mill that was churning, not that anyone knew of the agreements.
To keep up public appearances, it was decided that Duo would continue his once growing relationship with Hilde, while Relena and Heero continued to give birth to rumors that they were seeing one another. With Duo now dating Hilde, their love triangle became a rectangle. Not that they minded. They were all teens, with hormones, and the sight of two women together was just as much a boost to Duo and Heero's sex drive, as the sight of two men was to Relena and Hilde's.
In the end, an even huger dent was placed in the rumor mill, though Heero's love life was still a favorite topic of discussion between the Preventers. All in all, Heero and the others seemed to view it as a sort of by-the-mouth soap opera, seeing as how the rumors were sometimes even better than what they saw on the TV. They all still enjoyed coming together and having a laugh as they talked about the newest the rumors, before having a bit of fun together.
