Al and Ed Get Separated
Disclaimer: I don’t own FMA.
A/N: This is a story with Mpreg, yaoi, and implied yuri. Flaming me is useless, the story will continue. I could care less if you agree with what I write. If you don’t have sense enough to either 1) use imagination or 2) not read stuff that isn’t your “thing” then why are you even here???
Al shook his head at his older brother, Ed. He was always complaining, first about not being a state alchemist, about being Roy Mustang’s “do-boy”, about then becoming a state alchemist, about his hair, about Winry teasing him for breaking his auto mail; and he had temporarily had enough of his brother. So going to Colonel and asking for separate orders, just for a few weeks seemed like a decent thing to do. He could have also mashed Edward’s head in the door, but he would have just complained more.
Roy could hear Al’s metallic suit clink as he walked down the hall and secretly welcomed the younger Elric’s presence. He and Hawkeye had done about 5 large redwood trees worth of paperwork and it seemed every time he stopped working, Riza was right up his ass, asking if he was finished, and if he wasn’t finished, then why was he yawning, drinking coffee, breathing, existing, ect.. They raised their heads as they heard a soft knock on the office door.
“Come in Alphonse,” Mustang called, his voice painfully over enthused. Hawkeye glared at Roy, not because Al had come in, but because she knew Roy would basically take Al hostage in order to enact a cease-fire on the paperwork. Roy gestured for Al to sit on the couch as Hawkeye stood and placed a stack of papers on Roy’s desk.
“These are due to be completed and filed in 14 hours,” she said in a saccharin sweet voice. Then she spun on her heels and walked away, switching her ass and patting Al on his cold shoulder as she left the room. Roy could have set a brick on fire and threw it at the back of Riza’s head.
“Yes, Alphonse?” he asked, contemplating burning the stack of papers and claming the janitor threw them out.
Al shifted uncomfortably and held his metal head down and sighed. Roy’s stoic face softened and he leaned forward. “Al?” he asked in a softer voice. Al sighed again and looked Mustang square in the eye. “Edward,” Al stressed, “is getting on my nerves. I came to ask for separate orders, but only for a few weeks...just long enough for me to miss him and come back.” Al finished up quickly. Roy smiled and leaned back in his chair. So even Al, the fountain of patience and simpatico got tired of Fullmetal’s full mouth. Roy shook his head at Al’s request.
“Tell you what, Al. You put in more hours than most of my officers, and you aren’t even a state alchemist.” Roy rummaged through his desk to find a spa treatment coupon, given to him by his best friend, Maes Hughes. “Ah hah, here’s something for you,” Roy offered the coupon to Al.
“Good for one visit at Li Chau Li\'s Light and Beautiful Spa,” Al read aloud. Roy could have sworn he saw Al raise an eyebrow at him. “I don’t know what they can do for you as far as your metal, but your brother won’t be there, and it’s for free. What do you say?” Roy asked, sincerely hoping Al would take a break. He really felt like the boy needed a vacation, I mean the child lost his body for fuck’s sake. He could at least go to a spa and see some half-naked women for compensation. Al nodded his head. But then a conspiratorial look crossed his face and he leaned toward Mustang.
“You must tell Ed I’m away on an army related trip, or else he’ll be super pissed, and may even come after me.” Al looked worried. Roy stood up and sat on his desk across from Al and folded his arms. “Military orders, Alphonse Elric. Infiltrate the spa. Bring back clay and mud samples for evidence. Examine the massage tables. Sample the mango and strawberry daiquiri. Top secret hush hush,” Roy joked with a wide smile. Al stood and saluted. “Thank you sir!!! I’ll be back in...3 weeks,” he declared after examining the crumpled invitation. Al ran off, metal squeaking loudly.
Roy smiled, but then froze. If Ed was an asshole when Al was around, how will he react without his brother? Roy paled at the thought. Mountains would split, volcanoes erupt, and the polar ice caps would melt under the wrath of Elrich. Roy sighed and sat back down at his desk to do the sixth redwood tree of work. Sometimes...he hated his life. He opened his drawer and ate some of the chalky after dinner mints that were stashed behind his book of alchemy, which really only had porn inside. He chewed and chewed and watched the minutes on the wall clock, waiting for Hawkeye to come back with more papers to file.
