It was a special day for Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye, for today was her 23rd birthday. It was noon already and so far only three co-workers acknowledged that it was her birthday. Furher King Bradley had given her flowers. Major Maria Ross gave her a box of chocolates, and Major Danny Boch gave her the final volume to her favorite manga series “Gravitation” by Maki Murakami. But all that she really wanted was for her secret crush Lieutenant Colonel Roy Mustang to give more notice to her existence.

Riza was walking down the corridor to the dining hall for it was lunch time and she was very hungry. Then out the darkened hall appeared Second Lieutenant Maes Hughes. She saluted him as she was to pass by him. He stopped in front of her and said

“Well Happy Birthday Riza.” He said with a smile on his face.

“How did you know?” she asked confused.

“Well Roy came to my house a few days ago asking Gracia to throw you a birthday feast.” He said adjusting his glasses. “And my little Elisia is helping her set up and frost your cake. Ohh…she is just so cute!” she said with stars in his eyes. Riza cringed a moment then thought about what he had said.

‘Roy wanting me to have a birthday feast? So he really does care.’ Then she looked at Hughes who was still googly eyed over his daughter. “Well then I will see you at my party sir.” She said as she began to walk off. Hughes quickly turned to look at her and said

“Ok it’s tonight at 7 pm my house.” He said as she looked back at him waved and smiled then walked off to the dining hall.

At around 6:30 pm Riza left her room wearing a baby blue form-fitting spaghetti strapped dress with small healed blue shoes, blue purse, limited makeup on her face, and her hair in a blue clip to hold it out of her face. She decided to leave a little earlier than needed since Maes lived a block away from Central; so she could help Gracia if she needed it.

She arrived at the Hughes residence and walked up to the door and rung the doorbell. Elisia opened the door; she looked at Riza then turned around. “Mommy the birthday girl is here.” She said calling Gracia. Then she showed up behind Elisia and smiled.

“Well doesn’t she look pretty Elisia?” said Gracia as she let Riza inside.

“Yes mommy very pretty.” Said Elisia who was then picked up by her afther Maes and gave her a piggy back ride.

“I’m surprised to see you here this early Riza.” Said Gracia as they entered the living area.

“Yes well I thought I would…” Riza looked around the living area which was covered in streamers and balloons, Armstrong, Maria, Danny, Ed and Al were already there having a good time. They all turned around to look at Riza smiling. Riza recognized the tune to be the ‘Cha Cha Slide’ so she sat down her purse and joined the line of dancers.

At around 7:30 they all sat down to dinner and still no sign of Roy the one person Riza wanted to see most. As the dancing continued after dinner Riza helped Gracia bring the cake and presents to the dining table after it was cleared of food and plates.

Everyone gathered around Riza as Maes lit the candles on the cake which was chocolate with red flowers on it. Suddenly there was a knock at the back door and Maes suddenly alert walked to the door and opened it only to find Roy standing there panting heavily. Riza’s heart skipped a beat as Roy came in wearing a light blue dress shirt and a nice pair of navy pants.

“Sorry I’m late the traffic was brutal.” He said as Riza remembered that he was downtown on business this morning. He then sat beside Riza as they all sang her “Happy Birthday” and she blew out the candles. As they ate the cake Riza started to open her presents.

The first was from Maria and Danny which was a gift certificate to ‘Sakura’ a restaurant for two. She opened the present from Armstrong a gift card to ‘Mandarake’ the famous manga store. The present from Ed and Al was a vase and flowers made in front of their eyes. Then Elisia handed Riza her present and saw a princess doll, then pulled one out from behind her back.

“I got you one too so you could come and play with me sometime.” She said. Riza looked at her as she smiled and took Elisia in her lap.

“Of course I’ll come play with you. Thank you Elisia she’s beautiful.” Said Riza as Roy looked on with wondering eyes; as Riza stroked Elisia’s hair. She then she then opened the gift from Maes and Gracia which was a pedicure kit.

“I know that you’re surrounded by men all day but just because you work with them doesn’t mean you have to smell like them. And it feels great after a long day of work.” Said Gracia and looked at Elisia’s sleepy eyes and picked her up. “I’d better put her to bed. Say goodnight to Daddy.” Gracia said as Maes kissed Elisia. Then Ed went to the radio and put on some tunes as Armstrong broke out the Bourbon and Vodka.

Everyone joined them in the living room except Riza who stood up and headed upstairs. Roy who was left out of the present giving stood up, grabbed his present and followed her upstairs. Riza walked into the bathroom and out onto the balcony breathing in the fresh night air. Roy looked at her standing there looking beautifull then stepped onto the balcony. Riza turned around, saw him and smiled.

“Hey aren’t you suppose you to be downstairs enjoying the party?” she asked as he came closer to her.

“Shouldn’t I be asking you the same question?” he asked smirking as he stood beside her and leaned on the railing.

“They’re beautiful aren’t they?” asked Riza out of nowhere.

“What are?” Roy looked around confused.

“The stars they have an easy life. No worries, no troubles, no war. Just peace and beauty.” She said looking at him, smiled and looked back at the stars.

“But there’s one thing that we have that they don’t.” said Roy.

“And what is that?” asked Riza turning to face him.

“The ability to love, because without it life would be lonesome and empty.” He said coming closer to her and held out his present. “Here open it.” He said smiling. She took it with a big smile on her face and ripped off the paper. She held a black book with pink sakura (cherry blossoms) flowers embroidered on the cover.

“It’s a journal so you now have a place to hold your poems.” He said as she looked at him because on one knows about her obsession of poetry. “I’ve heard you recite some before and thought you could use this.” He said blushing a little.

“This is the best birthday present.” Riza’s smile grew and a tear came to her wrapped them around his neck in a hug. Roy hesitated a moment unsure of what to do. Then placed his arms around her waist. He breathed in her scent from her neck and her hair the scent of strawberries.

Riza slid her arms down his arms at her attempt to break their embrace but Roy didn’t let go of her waist. He looked into her hazel brown eyes and she looked into his onyx eyes and they connected Roy’s face moved closer to Riza’s and he closed his eyes as his lips gently touched hers. Riza’s mind stopped for she had dreamed of this moment, for the longest time. She leaned her face in more as their lips locked and Riza’s arms returned to rest around his neck. Roy pulled Riza’s body closer to his own as he dipped his tongue to his own as he dipped his tongue into her mouth.

She tasted of cake, but she smelled of something unique, Riza was shocked at his approach but when they pulled away she dove back in and dipped her tongue into his mouth. Roy also tasted like cake and they sat down on the balcony with Riza’s legs across Roy’s lap and his hands on her ass. Riza and Roy lay there on the balcony repeatedly dipping their tongues into each other’s mouths. Roy stroked Riza’s back and found the zipper to her dress but hesitated.

Suddenly Roy let go of Riza’s mouth and began to nibble on her neck. Riza let out a moan when Roy bit on her earlobe. He repeated this until the dress was fully unzipped and helped her out of it. She then sat in his lap and kissed his jawbone and neck as she unbuttoned his shirt and tossed it to the side. This action surprised Roy and dropped her dress onto his shirt and unbelted his pants.

They changed their position and Riza’s back was on the balcony floor with the rug beneath her and Roy on top of her. He kissed down her neck, her breast bones and her stomach. He slid a hand underneath her bra as he kissed back up to her breasts. Roy moved a hand underneath her and undid her bra and tossed it with the other clothes. Riza moaned his name as Roy kissed and massaged her breasts. Hearing her moan his name caused his pants to tighten as heat rushed to his groins.

Roy took off his pants as he looked into Riza’s eyes and kissed her again. They both panted heavily and Riza grabbed Roy’s head and kissed him passionately. He was amazed at her reaction to his touches and kisses but decided that she just loved him as much as he did her. Riza reached for Roy’s hand and placed it on her vagina. Roy flinched for a moment, broke their kiss and looked at her. She nodded her head before he could ask or say anything.

He smiled and kissed her again while moving his hand just under the rim of her panties and slowly slid them down her legs. Riza’s legs trembled slightly and pulled his boxers down his legs. They tossed each other’s underwear with the other clothes and looked in each others eyes and smiled. Roy plunged two fingers into her deftly and Riza’s back arched and as a reflex grabbed his erection and rubbed it. He trembled and placed his free hand on the floor to prop his body up so he wouldn’t fall on Riza.

As they sweated and panted Roy removed his fingers and Riza let go of his erection. He then positioned himself between Riza’s legs and slowly entered himself into her deftly. Riza grunted as he began thrusting into her. To hush her moans Roy kissed her allowing her to moan in his mouth but that only aroused him more and he thrusted at a faster pace.

He thrusted repeatedly into her deftly as she moaned his name into his mouth and sweat dripped down their bodies. Roy let go of her mouth and breathed his hot breath onto her neck and in her ear. Riza wrapped her arms around him and clenched her nails in his back. Roy made a fist against the floor and as they climaxed together a cool fresh breeze came by whipping their moans into the night. They panted trying to regain their breath and looked into each other’s eyes. Roy then leaned down and kissed her lightly and said

“I love you Riza.”

“I love you too Roy!” she said and kissed him back. They both laughed and Roy removed himself from in Riza and stood up. He helped up Riza as they searched their tossed clothes all over the balcony. After they dressed Riza was fixing the clip in her hair when she turned to Roy.

“Roy you know when I said that the journal was the best present well…what you just gave me is the greatest thing anyone’s done for me. Thank you.” She said as she put her arms around his neck and kissed him gently. They then grabbed her book and walked through the bathroom holding hands and walked downstairs.

“I wonder if anyone realized that we were gone?” asked Roy as they approached the living area. When they walked into the living area Ed and Al were pasted out on the floor, near Maria and Danny. Armstrong was on the couch, Maes and Gracia lying on the other couch with Gracia on Maes. Roy and Riza looked at each other and laughed.
