We were surrounded by rubble. The collapsed building shrouded us in dust. Our attackers had followed my brother here. After the dust settled, my young son, Trunks and his young friend drove the last of the fight out of them. The idiot blobs still live.
I am surprised, but grateful that Table, my weakling brother, has survived all these years. Father sent him away to another planet for his safety. There is a little white creature following him around. It is not long before I am floored to be informed that the runt is married to it.
One of Kakarot's groupies comments that saiyans pick strange wives. I am offended at that remark, but the women move in on the loose-tongued man responsible for such words.
The banquet, hosted by Gohan's father-in-law, resumes. Table is invited to join us, and soon all are eating well.
My family, such as they are, are gathered together. If only father could see us now. I imagine he would say that I have become soft in the prime of my life.
Ha!
As if!
Thankfulness fills my heart such as I can understand it. I have found peace I never had before.
Kakarot showe me through his life's example that peace comes from within.
Joy.
Love. If my father only knew...
Compassion.
I never understood at first why Kakarot displays it. I still struggle with such a foreign emotion.
All the things I have filled with a new hope, a new life. Filled with good things.
Mother, you would be proud. I give thanks for all that I have...
...for some day it will come to an end.
