Author's notes: Thanks to all who have reviewed... you are all awesome! Sorry it took me

soo long to update but I haven't had internet access since I put up chapter 2...soo ya.... Also

if you have any ideas on what I d dod do to this story that would be helpful... It's just that I'm not

lazy, its just the story I wrote is really short.. if I wanted to do a long chapter I would have to end

it here...which I have a feeling you wouldn't like that. So give me some ideas..because so far mine

have been not soo good theyp lop looking too much like stories I have read from other authors.

Chapter 3- Kai's POV

' WHAT?!?! No, thin't n't be happening, I'm too late!'

With the feeling that I was too late, made my world shattered. I felt as if I couldn't breathe. I struggled

with the next four words.

" So...he...married...her?"

I was afraid to hear to outcome, of knowing now I had no chance what-so-ever to be with Rei.

With me so much in my thoughts I almost didn't hear what Lee said next.

"No, I did." I looked at him as if he grew a second head and both stupidly grinning at me.

'Wait am I missing something? I don't understand?' I guess he knew what I was thinking

and began to explain, which I was thankful for.

"Maybe I should start from the beginning...."


/ Flashback Lee's POV/


'I can't wait to see Rei again, and to find out what the Elders wanted him for? I guess I'll know soon.'

"LEE!" I looked to see who yelled at me, only to find golden orbs just like mine staring back at me.

'Rei...your home' I sighed and pulled him into a big bear hug.

"I'm glad your back..we all missed you Rei" I was trying my hardest to hold back my tears,

it was so gto sto see my brother again.

"Missed you too Lee...where is everyone?" I noticed he was tying not to cry as well, but

what got me the most was it wasn't tears of happiness, but of tears of saddess.

'Somethings not right, I wonder what happened back in Japan, I'll have to ask later.'

"They are back at the village making the feast for tonight. Speaking of which we should hurry..

or we'll have to deal with an angry Mariah"

He smiled at that and started to walk in the direction of the village, with me closely beside him.

When we arrived we were told to go to the Village Hall, the Elders wanted to see us. We went

straight there, knowing the Elders were not patient people. We walked through the doors and

noticed that everyone from the village was there. We continued to walk all the way up to the Elders

and kneeled.

It was then, one of the Elders began to speak.

"Rei, we are pleased on your return. As you all know Rei will be turning sixteen in two weeks

time, and since his birth he was to wed on that very same day."

I was shocked and so was everyone else, sure it was a fine thing to do sixteen years ago

but times change. Rei looked as if he wanted to die right there and then.

'I don't blame him'

" But..but..no I can't" Rei stuttered the words, probably really unsure of himself.

"And why not, Mariah would make an excellent wife." As soon as that was said,

everyone turned their attention to Mariah, then to Rei and back again. No one could believe it.

" I can't marry my sister, I love some else." Everyone in the village knew that we always treated

each other as brothers and sisters. Besides I really didn't want to believe that Rei would get Mariah.

I mean since he told her that he thought of her only as a sister, she began to give me a chance

and now all we been through together will be gone. It wasn't until Mariah was given permission to speak.

" I can't go along with this either, because I love some else too" Her gaze met mine and I

almost melted there. But this got the Elders attention.

"Who?" At this she bowed her head and whispered my name.

"Lee.."

"I see.. Lee do you feel the same?" They questioned me.

"Yes Elders" There was a long pause, as the Elders were disscussing on what to do.

We were all wondering what was going to happen.

"We the Elders of the White Tiger Village will allow Lee to be the one to marry Mariah."

There was a loud cheer after this was said, and I soon found myself on the floor with Mariah in

my arms. It seems that we celebrated too soon, as the Elders began to continue.

"Rei, you will choose someone by your eighteenth birthday or your wife will be chosen for you,

again and this time, you won't be able to get out of it. Do we make ourselves clear?"

Rei could only nod his head, too shock for words.


/ Flashback End- Kai's POV/


"So...what you are saying is that you and Rei switched places?"

'This is great, maybe I still have a chance!' I tried everything within my power to supress

smile that threatened to show.

"Exactly, by the way what brings you to China?"

"I came to see Rei, but I have no idea to where he is...I haI have searched everywhere."

He looked as if he was in deep thought and began to nod his head.

"Thats understandable..."

"What do you mean?"

"Oh....since Rei came back and there is no engagement....the girls of the village have been

harrassing him nonstop. It was starting to drive him crazy!"

"So, where is he now?"

'I really hope he knows where, but then again why shouldn't he?'

"In hiding"

'No kidding...I asked where dumbass' There was no way I was going to say that so I asked

again in hoping to get a better answer.

"Where is he hiding?"

"I was heading there anyways...I'll show you but first we have to run" He looked kind of scared

and he pointed to something behind me. I look to see what he was pointing at and what I saw

made my body go ice cold.

Cliffyin..in...sorry I couldn't resist! :D I wonder what was there to scare Lee and Kai???

HMMM...Lets see if you could guess what it is.. If someone gets the correct answer I'll update

the next chapter even quicker..hehe if not then all I have to see is 22 reviews..ok? Not to hard!

Hopefully this was a long enough chapter :D
